My husband and I came here the weekend before Memorial Day (off-season) for Brunch around 1:00pm on a Sunday. Everything was delicious! The brunch menu offered a complimentary drink of choice (mimosa, bloody mary, coffee, tea or soft drinks) which was a nice touch. I had the chicken BLT which was fantastic. The bread was freshly made at a local bakery. My husband had the lobster eggs benedict which he said was just as good! They had live music playing softly in the background and the service and staff were all very friendly and attentive. They even have an outside patio which would be nice to utilize during warmer months. We would definitely come back here again in the future to try other items on the menu! Had dinner at Encore tonight with my wife and a friend. Excellent meal! Everything was superb. We shared the lobster & mango tower for an appetizer. We all ordered off the daily special menu for main courses. My wife had a scallop dish which was wonderful. Sautéed scallops with a light, but tasty sauce on a bed of quinoa and corn. Our friend had a grilled swordfish steak. And I had a skirt steak with grilled asparagus, new potatoes, and a corn salsa. Steak was flavorful and cooked just right. Service was excellent and the whole experience was top notch. The only problem was the room is quite noisy. It has a wooden ceiling that reflects the sound back down. The restaurant was busy when we sat down, and it was a little hard to hear our conversation at the table. As the room slowly emptied over the evening, the sound died down to a more tolerable level. But I would certainly recommend Encore for the quality of the food. Give this place a try! read more

I have had the pleasure of having dinner at Encore twice in the past six months. I dine frequently on the Cape in a wide range of venues. My overall experience at Encore has been excellent with the bar service, wait-service, and menu. Another extra, they were open on a Monday night, when others nearby were closed. My only hesitation is the facility...they need to invest in moderate acoustic deadening!!! Even that farthest corners, beside the bar, can be deafening. It's cheaper to fix than loosing return business.,,, But, sigh, I'll definitely be back.... I'd definitely recommend it. See you at the bar. read more

Encore is a newly opened restaurant owned and operated by the same owner of the amazing Sesuit Harbor Cafe. This restaurant is a bit on the fancy side, with expensive (yet decadent) food and a classy ambiance. Because it was new, I expected it to be a bit hectic. The restaurant itself is very noisy, but the tables are separated a fair amount, leaving room for each party to converse without interruption. Our waiter was very noticeably nervous, but was attentive and helpful. He recommended I order the lobster fettuccine. On to the food! We ordered the spinach/artichoke dip, lobster fettuccine, margarita flat bread (my girlfriends go-to meal), the salmon, and the linguine with clams. While I didn't taste either the salmon or the linguine with clams, my fettuccine was decadent. The portion was massive and filled with lobster. It might have been the best pasta dish I've eaten, at least in a while! My girlfriend's dish was also very tasty, but I felt that there was too much oil on it. They messed up on one order by giving a Caesar salad and not an arugula salad like she ordered, but the staff was eager to fix it and change the salad right away. The menu is vast. I could come here 50 more times and get something new that I would enjoy. Great work, Encore! read more

Okay, the food is solid, good. The staff very pleasant. The service is very slow, I mean slow. The noise level is crap, plan on talking only to your immediate table mate, then only getting 80% of the conversion if you listen well. I have been in the restaurant business for about a decade and I am always wary of new places, they sometimes need a little time to work out all the kinks and get the staff 100% trained but I saw amazing reviews for Encore and figured might as well give it a try. And I'm so so happy we did! Let's start with the decor, outside is simple and you wouldn't expect much inside but once you do get inside it is beautiful subtle hints of nautical decor but nothing over the top, fresh sunflowers, the tables settings were simple and elegant I felt right at home! Our server Hannah was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She was able to recommend a few dishes and tell us a little bit about the chef, his name is Tyler he is only 23 fresh out of college but Tyler knows his stuff! The food was amazing!!!! We started with the truffle fries, and they were some of the best I've ever had, I ordered the lobster Alfredo and my mom had the lobster encore. Both were delicious! Our waitress Hannah was very helpful suggesting wines to pair with our entrees and she was spot on. I was so impressed with how well the staff was trains after only being open for two weeks. Everything ran like a well oiled machine, as soon as a table got up bus boys appeared to clear it and set it. You never had to look around for your server because they were always buzzing around the intimate dinning room to check in on you without being intrusive. For desert my mom had the creme brûlée and I had the gelato both made in house and both were amazing! I wish I had had the room to finish my gelato but I was so full from my lobster Alfredo! One of the owners Joanne was viable in the dinning room checking in on table and came over to introduce herself and tell us about the place, she checked back at the end of the meal to thank us for coming in and make sure every thing was good. I rarely praise restaurants my bar is set pretty high but Encore earned every one of those 5 stars I am giving. I will definitely be back it has a great atmosphere a great staff and owner and most importantly amazing food! Congrats to the owners on their new place I'm sure it will hit! read more

Went for Father's Day. Service was flawless and the server was very accommodating and concerned about our multiple allergies. Cesar salad had a homemade dressing and was perfectly lightly dressed. We had the Lobster Scampi and Pan Seared Scallops. Both had very unique and tasty sauces and were memorable. Oh yes, they were perfectly cooked. We almost skipped dessert, but I'm glad we ordered the affogato, a combination of chocolate gelato and expresso (you pour the cup of espresso over the gelato!). We will be back. Encore is run by the same people that run Sesuit Harbor Cafe and are open year round, so you can get Sesuit lobster rolls in winter. read more

We used to love Encore. Something has changed recently. The menu choices have become uninspired and some just unappealing. My salmon dinner lacked flavor and looked like wedding food. One member of our party ordered Brussels sprouts and sent them back. The server didn't even offer to bring him something else. Right off of very scenic 6A in Denis, this cute restaurant is near the theater - a little tricky to find. Lots of parking though. We arrived on a Friday night at 8pm without a reso but the nice hostess said max 20 mins & she'd find us in the bar area. It was about 10 mins before she was leading us to our table for two. I had the burratta appetizer with arugula, tomatoes, evoo & balsamic drizzle - excellent!! My husband had the mussels & sherry & said it was very good. For dinner I had twin filet mignons (knowing full well I could only eat one). They were served with mashed & string beans. The beef was more well than I had ordered it but still tasty. Mashed were flavorful but a gummy consistency. Beans cooked perfectly. My husband said his lobster fettuccine Alfredo was great & thinks the pasta was home-made. I hesitate to give this restaurant a bad review and I want to be fair because this location by the Cape Cinema has had a tough time keeping restaurants and it is a nice amenity for theater goers. Also, these folks have put some money into sprucing the place up with a nice rear patio area. The appetizer was pretty good as far as we got, but we waited an age for our orders with many tables coming after us being served including one that turned over twice. When I asked the waitress, instead of acknowledging the issue and telling us she'd check on it, all she said was it's in the works. Duh. Okay, it finally came. I had a few hairs in my food, not really appetizing. The waitress apologized and said the manager would be out to talk to us. He never came. She came later and asked it I wanted something else. By this time we'd been in there so long I politely declined and I was polite throughout the whole experience. She came back with the check and announced they had taken my dish off the bill as if this was my consolation prize to be grateful for, not much of a gesture considering I took exactly one bite of swordfish before spotting the hairs. Look, a manager coming out to apologize, offering to take off a drink, or a free desert is not going to change my quality of life but it's the gesture that counts. This isn't the first issue I've ever had with food in a restaurant and other places I've been have handled things like this with much more graciousness to soften the waste of time and money. I give them D for service and and F for classlessness. However if these things don't bother you, other people's food looked pretty good so you may want to try them though I won't be back. read more

Went here for brunch this weekend. The food was pretty decent. It's tough to go wrong with the truffle oil French fries. The bacon is super tasty too. We were all flummoxed by the $13 cornbread entree on the menu though. For $13 you literally just get a round of cornbread that's smaller in diameter than a CD-ROM disk. It's good cornbread but for $13, that's gotta be about $12.70 of profit for the restaurant. (Maybe they grow and mill their own corn behind the restaurant?) So. Bottom line. Food's good. Skip the cornbread unless you're an outrage junky or you need a conversation starter for your table. Ps...seriously, what's up with $13 for a tiny piece of cornbread? read more

My second trip to Encore and once again loved the food and our server. Lobster Mango Tower is delicious and although it is on the menu as an app, it was plenty as a main course. SIL loved her skillet scallops. Mom ordered fish tacos which were three large and delicious tacos with truffle fries on the side. My only complaint, as many have mentioned, is the noise level! They have put two small noise absorbers on the vaulted ceiling but much too little to make a difference, I'm afraid. The ambience otherwise is lovely. Outdoor patio looks beautiful (and heaters are available), so will reserve out there for next time. read more

Beware!! Check your bill! Honest mistakes happen but it seems that one needs to be vigilant A recent event has me writing this review. When our check came we were overcharged by 3 drinks. We brought it to our waitresses attention and then the red flags began to fly. The usual apologies with "I'll fix it" included a terribly inaccurate explanation I'll call explanation #1. #1 : we were at the bar and that tab was added. We blew that one away as the tab was paid at the bar before we sat down for our meal. Then #2 explanation was offered...mistakenly charged us for the drinks at the table next to us. That explanation didn't fly either. We did not give credence to either. Nice surroundings, food was good and the prices were reasonable. I went to this place with my Grammie a few days ago. It was a lot of fun! The food was awesome and the service was great. Their chicken wings have this awesome sauce on them. It's sweet and smokey. The chowder there was creamy and the clams were nice and chewy. My Grammie LOVED the lobster mango tower. It had avocado on the bottom, lobster in the middle, and mango on the top. It was drizzled with this mixture that looked creamy and spicy. It was really good. I recommend that you go here. It is a really great place to go. (I am Colleen, Kate's daughter. Don't typically leave reviews but this place was awesome! Winter on the cape leaves few options to choose from so we ended up at Encore and could not have been more pleased with our experience! Sat at the bar..bartenders Sean and Eric very welcoming and friendly. Ambiance was great and good was even better. Had the fish tacos and lobster alfredo..YUM! Great cocktail/wine/beer selection too. This is my third chance and the last I will give this restaurant. The owner JC really needs to get his act -- and his staff - together. Others rave about this place -- they need to get out more and experience eating outside of the bubble of Dennis. Each time I have come here it's been a huge dissapointment. I have mentioned it to the owner but since he's in FL most of the time it seems to matter not. Food is poorly plated, entrees are cold and sides do not come out on time. For the price, quality of food and service, there will be no encore here. I'm done. read more

unfortunately very disappointed. stopped in because "open" flag was still hanging and online stated serving until 9 p.m. on Sundays. Just not this Sunday I guess. Upon entering and asking for a table for 4 we were told that the kitchen was closed but, there were many restaurants on 6A open. I guess they wanted us to try one of those other restaurants which we did and will do again next time we are going out in that area. A party of 2 had been seated just before us and they could order so a little bit confused.
