    Melon salad
    David S.

Not including some of the best freshly harvested scallops or oysters, this is the best meal I have had in 20+ years on Cape Cod. Lune did get a James Beard nomination - which I think is very well deserved. We came for the ala carte menu on Sundays. We had gnocchi and halibut for the large plates. My wife never eats gnocchi, but really loved it at Lune. The halibut came with some sort of corn side. It was well flavored and the corn was quite sweet. We also had a small plate of a "compressed" melon salad. This was very good as well, although possibly the weakest item we had. And their bread is phenomenal. The wine list is interesting, and seems fairly, but not inexpensively, priced. The service was very good, attentive but not intrusive. We sat at the counter and was able to watch dishes we regretted not ordering being prepared. This is a very small dining area, with perhaps 8 counter seats and perhaps 8 additional well spaced tables. This is a great addition to the Cape - I tend to think they will want to find a larger place given how hard it is to book now.

What a special experience! Everything was perfection: food, wine, service, seating. We can't wait to return. Great way to kick off our vacation.

Came over the summer with my husband who is an executive chef in Boston. We were both blown away by the food and hospitality. The tasting menu was perfectly executed and my substitution of a meat dish for a pescatarian friendly dish was unbelievable. Amazing job Chef and team, we cannot wait to come back!

My friends and I had a beautiful time at Lune! We came for the 6 pm seating and made a reservation in advances. The restaurant is small, but has a homey feel. The main hostess and chef are husband and wife! They created their own menus with fresh ingredients from their garden and the cape. Pacing for 6-7 course meal was fantastic all throughout. My favorite dishes were the scallops and the tartlet. The dessert was also super unique! Overall, I left satiated and satisfied. Highly recommend for a nice meal in Dennis Port!

Amazing food and lovely little restaurant! We had heard all the hype but Lune met and exceeded our expectations. We went on a Sunday so "à la carte" (no tasting menu that night) but our appetizers and entrees were delicious nonetheless - inventive, carefully presented and just delicious. We were greeted as we were driving into the parking area and told where we could park. Our server was delightful, friendly and very helpful. We chose some dish options that we were told were not often served as part of the tasting menu. The confit halibut with rhubarb compote and duck breast with frites were delicious, as were our appetizers (foie gras tarte, boeuf tartare and asparagus with poached egg). Almond tarte for dessert was also very yummy :) We are looking forward to our next visit, hopefully for the tasting menu!

A tasting menu showcasing six courses in a unique intimate setting was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The owners are fantastic with a casual elegance, superior food and wine expertise, and they provided attention to every detail of the dining experience. They change the menu often (weekly I think) based on what they have on their local farm. Reading the course descriptions does not do any of the courses justice because you truly have to see it in person and taste the combination of ingredients together. Everything was delicious! The wine pairing is well thought out and definitely will elevate your night. The renovated building had so much charm! I wish I took a picture of the garage door. Amazing and original floors. Really smart and well done in every way! We will be back!!

I can't say enough good things about Lune. The food, the ambiance, and the service were all absolutely perfect. From the moment I took my first sip of the beautifully rich mushroom consommé when sitting down I knew just how much this team cares about providing a 5 star experience. Every wine pairing was perfectly matched. I enjoyed every single glass. I can't wait for my next chance to dine at Lune.

Had an incredible dinner at Lune! We did the 5 PM sitting for the tasting menu and half wine pairing. It was incredibly delicious, creative, and beautifully plated. The wines were thoughtfully paired. I have a couple of food allergies and there was no issue with getting them accommodated. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable! The ambiance was chic and airy, without too much noise. Would love to go back and sit at the bar to watch the chefs at work.

If you want food, you have to time it right. We got there on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm, knowing that they closed at 2. Meals were not available at that time, nor were cocktails. The only food available was snacks and pastries in a display on the counter, and most of these were already gone as well. Wine was still available in 3oz. and 5oz. pours, and we found a couple that we really enjoyed. We received fantastic service at the counter, and we were checked on several times while we were seated (we were lucky enough to get the plush chairs by the window). Their full wine list is extensive and interesting. Depending on from what direction you approach, navigation might give you a very scenic route along the circular "road." Service was very attentive and informative, and food recommendations were spot on. The special salad of spinach, goat cheese, strawberries and tomatoes was divine - one of the best starter salads ever! Bone-in pork chop with asparagus and roasted potatoes was fantastic, as was the duck w risotto. Salmon was excellent. But the culinary "coup de grâce" was the sorbet!! With each one they asked how the burger should be cooked. Two ordered them rare and medium rare. All 4 came out well done. They did take the two back and remade them. In addition, one ordered hers with a salad instead of fries. They did take it back without offering to just bring out an extra salad and leave what was there. Our server was good , but the kitchen did not pay attention to detail. Also, the buns are monstrous on the burgers, but they aren't practical and make them hard to eat. Tends to a lot of wasted bread. On the bright side, I had the tuna nicoise, and it was very good. I would definitely get it again. We were visiting local relatives. We hope to go back with them on a future visit but hope to have a better experience.

And we decided to try this weekend when my daughter came with a friend. We will definitely going back. The main complaint is that is hard to get a reservation. We started with calimari. It was pretty, but not exceptional. My wife had the onon soup. For main courses we had the beet and arugula salads, (the arugula with shrimp), the flounder and the crispy salads. The main reason I cam giving the restaurant 5* was the scallops. These were far from the typical fried scallops. They had a like panko coating, served with succotash, and were quite good, even by Cape Cod standards for scallops. The salads are both also very good. Service was attentive and not intrusive. It is a nice old house and has nice ambiance.

I've found this restaurant to be one of the best ones around. Scargo is one of the reasons why travelers shouldn't skip Route 6A. I'm usually there during off-peak (translation: cold) times, so I tend to gravitate towards more robust menu offerings. The French onion soup is quite good, with a nice beefy broth and a generous amount of cheese. It's nice that the restaurant offers bread, which is becoming a rarer occurrence. The entree portions are quite strong. The lemon flounder filets were nicely pan-fried and not overcooked. The seafood strudel has a good amount of seafood, including a lot of shrimp and smaller scallops. I don't think they have the cioppino anymore but that was also a quality entree as well. Service has always been friendly and professional. The servers are good at making friendly conversation without dragging down efficiency.

For an appetizer, we shared the sweet potato tempura stuffed with scallop and crab. It was light, flavorful, and beautifully prepared--an excellent start to the meal. For our entrées, the swordfish was wonderfully fresh and packed with flavor. While the accompanying potatoes were a bit dry and under-seasoned, the fish itself was outstanding. The seared tuna was cooked to perfection, with a beautiful crust and tender center, and the noodles complemented it perfectly. Fin has the charm of a historic home, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The bar is cozy and welcoming, though on the smaller side, so arriving early is a good idea. We were seated upstairs at a corner table, which provided plenty of privacy and made for a wonderfully romantic dining experience in a quaint and intimate setting. We had another slightly heartier round of appetizers, the lamb rotolini and stuffed squash blossoms, both of which were also scrumptious. For entrees we had the local striped bass and jerk pork shank. The bass was cooked perfectly and the caponata served with it complemented the fish very well.
