Ok- so first I have to say I LOVE Scargo Cafe. It is one of my favorite restaurants- not only on Cape, but in all of New England- and I travel and eat out a lot. The food is always outstanding, the presentation superb, and the service is exceptional. This visit was a belated Birthday lunch- oh and did I mention that they call you on your Birthday and sing to you? It's amazing! They also give you 20% off your entire meal if you choose to dine in. That is fantastic. So we got their scrumptious French Onion Soup- there isn't one better. ANYWHERE. SO.MUCH. CHEESY.GOODNESS. So much flavor in the soup itself. We ordered the Arugula Salad-with Romaine lettuce instead, and chicken on the side, Pasta, with marinara- (a special request) and the incredible Shrimp Scampi Flatbread. Honestly, they really should sell that Shrimp Scampi on its own as well- it is so good!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything was outstanding. The food, the service, and the setting can never be beat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is so lovely in there. It really makes me miss living on the Cape!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I enjoyed my birthday dinner here at Scargo Cafe. The restaurant has great ambiance and is located on beautiful RTE 6A on Cape Cod. For starters, we shared the artichoke and spinach dip which was amazing. One of the best we ever had. The menu had great selections for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. I enjoyed the Mongolian Pork chop which I paired with an Australian Shiraz. The pork was cooked to perfection and the sides, braised red cabbage and mashed potatoes, were great. My spouse enjoyed the Tofu Power Bowl. She went with one of their signature cocktails, the Poinsettia. Service was attentive and timely. Though being on Thursday night in the middle of winter, the restaurant was pretty full. Highly recommend reservations any time of year and I can only imagine how busy this place is in the summer.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cozy atmosphere with reasonable prices.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated in a private little alcove room which was nice but then we were a little concerned that they forgot about us as no one came to get our drink orders.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Eventually our server arrived and apologized and explained why she took so long. From then on our experience was great. Our server (Anke) was very personable and fun. The food was delicious. Friends in our party had the lamb, salmon and grilled sirloin. Everyone thought the food was delicious. The complimentary warm bread was perfect too! Would definitely return.

Back for another dinner. We started with cocktails - the Espresso Martini and the Cosmo. Both were perfectly prepared and well poured. As an appetizer we chose the Mediterranean Charcuterie. An excellent choice as a starter. For the dinner, the Honey ordered the Mongolian Pork Chop, her favorite, I, the Roasted Cod. These too, were perfectly prepared and beautifully plated. I would have liked something on the cod plate to absorb the delicious sauce of the Ratatouille but otherwise it was outstanding. We finished with coffee and the flourless chocolate torte. A decadent treat! The one complaint was that our food came out too quickly. We were not quite finished with our appetizer when the dinner plates arrived. That was unexpected, based on our previous experience here. Otherwise all was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance, the service and the quality of the meal. We'll definitely be back[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (maybe next time we'll wait to order the main course after the appetizer is served).

One of our favorite places in the cape. They are always so friendly and the dining rooms evoke the cape. The food is always consistently good!

The French onion soup was outstanding! As was the fresh bread!

Excellent experience. Everyone (staff and other local patrons) we so friendly to these two out of towners. The French onion soup was served in a crock, smothered in cheese! It was the best I've ever had! The ambiance was warm and comfortable. A wonderful experience for sure. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a delicious dinner at Scargo and we had the kindest and most attentive server, Destiny. She was so sweet and happy to answer our questions. She's bubbly and very friendly so we recommend you ask for her. Also the food was spectacular! So yummy! Best lobster linguine ever! My partner loved the sirloin steak and we both shared oysters that were superb. The manager, Kelsie, is very welcoming and warm as well!

If you want food, you have to time it right. We got there on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm, knowing that they closed at 2. Meals were not available at that time, nor were cocktails. The only food available was snacks and pastries in a display on the counter, and most of these were already gone as well. Wine was still available in 3oz. and 5oz. pours, and we found a couple that we really enjoyed. We received fantastic service at the counter, and we were checked on several times while we were seated (we were lucky enough to get the plush chairs by the window). Their full wine list is extensive and interesting. Depending on from what direction you approach, navigation might give you a very scenic route along the circular "road." Parking is spread out in that area, and one-way arrows exist, but not enough of them.

For an appetizer, we shared the sweet potato tempura stuffed with scallop and crab. It was light, flavorful, and beautifully prepared--an excellent start to the meal. For our entrées, the swordfish was wonderfully fresh and packed with flavor. While the accompanying potatoes were a bit dry and under-seasoned, the fish itself was outstanding. The seared tuna was cooked to perfection, with a beautiful crust and tender center, and the noodles complemented it perfectly. Fin has the charm of a historic home, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The bar is cozy and welcoming, though on the smaller side, so arriving early is a good idea. We were seated upstairs at a corner table, which provided plenty of privacy and made for a wonderfully romantic dining experience in a quaint and intimate setting. Our waitress seemed a little reserved at first but quickly warmed up and became attentive and engaging throughout the evening. Dinner for two, including tip, came in just under $200, putting it on the higher end of the price range, but the quality of the food, cocktails, and atmosphere made it well worth it. We will be back to try the oyster stew.

Lucas was our server and he got us situated with some beverages first, we had the bad bunny, which we had tried before and was excellent and a new raspberry gin martini on the cocktail list which was so tasty the second round we got two of those. For appetizers we had the oysters which were shucked beautifully and were served with a wonderful mignonette, and beef chicharrones which were light and delicious. We had another slightly heartier round of appetizers, the lamb rotolini and stuffed squash blossoms, both of which were also scrumptious. For entrees we had the local striped bass and jerk pork shank. The bass was cooked perfectly and the caponata served with it complemented the fish very well. Lucas also recommended a Chardonnay that paired with the bass wonderfully. The pork shank really stole the show though first of all it was huge, and it was also so tender. The curry mayo served with it I want to use as a condiment for everything for the rest of my life. For dessert we had the blueberry vacherine. The lemon and blueberry in it had a wonderful blend of tart and sweet, and was very light and easy to eat after our large meals. Everything also arrived in a very reasonable amount of time even though the restaurant was completely full. We had a lovely time and are so happy they are open again after their kitchen remodel. We ended up there on a Wed (happened to be our anniversary) so I only experienced the à la carte menu. Highly recommend reservations as it's a small restaurant. Parking is limited but you can park in the lot of a nearby furniture store ( across the street and a half a block east). Our server ( Maeve) is very pleasant and helpful. All staff members we encountered greeted us and seem happy to be working there. Not a full bar but many nice choices. We enjoyed Pinot noir from Oregon. We had delicious oysters, a fresh salad, Portuguese clams, and a swordfish dish. Also had a "fancy" Hoodsie dessert that was quite good. All our items were first rate. Other dishes served at neighboring tables also looked great. Noise level in restaurant is very tolerable. The meal was almost perfect--nearly all of the courses were introduced expertly and executed with haute precision. The prix fixe menu is offered on weekends, and it looked, as you can see, exciting. My favorite courses were the caviar and dessert. The white asparagus course was inspired and delicious, though it needed another minute or two to achieve a perfect texture. The sous vide veal breast was a miss. The ratio of meat to fat skewed too heavily toward fat. The diners I observed around me at the bar all left fat on their plates. That said, the sauce and spinach accompaniments were delicious. The bread, optional caviar, and dessert courses were brilliant. The wine pairings fell a bit flat, I thought--they were all good, but none compelled me to ask for more or to see the labels for later purchase. I loved watching the culinary theater from the bar seating. It was a bit more hectic than I recall from my last visit, but it was clear that the staff were working hard and collaborating effectively. A talented local artist's work on the walls here could definitely elevate the ambiance.
