I read reviews on Lake Magic then booked it. What I did not do was look at the Yelp reviews. So when I was almost to the Resort, I looked up the yelp reviews and they were not so good. I became disappointed and confused. How could all those other reviews be so good and yelp in this case bad. So let me set the record straight. When I got to the office, they were ready to process all my paperwork and I was out in less then two minutes. That is unbelievable. The gate was also the registration which was a good idea. I paid a bit more for the Elite spot. When I say it I was a bit disappointed. Nothing elite about it. So I got set up and took my electric scooter to the pool. BINGO, the pool was large, quiet and awesome. Then I went to the hot tub. It was better then the pool. As I was in the hot tub, I turned around and their was a large lovely lake. I totally get the Elite status now. This place is great, I recommend it and hope to come again. My only negative is very few shade trees on my spot. That is why it is not a 5 star. Everything is clean workers are friendly! The security is an absolute great guy! Kid friendly pet friendly all around a great park close to everything you can walk to grocery store out front. Stayed a week we are extending our stay another week very happy. read more

Not sure how this will go , hopefully it won't have tons y bad people who steal stuff like "other places do " I'd hate for this place to get like that . We stopped and made a reservation for 2 months in December. We were told by the manager they had one site left. She promised to try to move as the site was awful. I called in Dec and in January no site. Stopped by after we arrived ,nothing, in March I was told nothing until the day we are leaving April 11. The second week in March there were several vacant sites. By this time we were getting fed up with our noisy neighbors,with several kids yelling and making noise late at night. I called corpoate, next Day i heard from Brenda the manager she treated me with nasty attitude and would not look ar me, she gave us 4 nice sites to look at. She then gave us a new reservation charging us almost 500.00 dollars more just to move,we lost our two month discounted price. I tried to call corporate several times and my call was not returned. Dog park is a sand pit! Tried to buy tickets for St Patriks dinner and was told they were sold out. Another long term resident told me there were tickets the manger had held 18 tickets for her friends and outsiders. Pool most days is cold and the heater is broken or turned down. My family & I are new to the 5th wheel life. We moved into this beautiful park excited to get set up & start on our new adventure! We had a family member help set up our 5th wheel as they are experienced. Just a few moments upon arrival a worker came up on the golf cart & told us we couldn't have a car parked in the grass. We moved the vehicle as he directed us to & later we were told we would be kicked out of the park if we parked incorrectly in the future. I understand & appreciate parks having rules & have no problem following them! Just on our first day moving in I expected a small break.I have lived in apartments before & have NEVER been one to have/cause issues. EXTREMELY disappointed & current looking for a new park! read more

So this place is very plain...very nice sitesnice and big..the patio is very generic either you match up or don't..they are all the same..the bathrooms are dirty..and no toilet paper..wtf no body there and no toilet paper..that really sucked for me...someone isn't doing their job..check in was very easy and the lady was very pleasant...if the bathrooms were clean and well stocked with toilet paper I would give this place a 3 star leaning toward 4 star only because the lay out is really nice and the sites are spacious .. read more

We loved the cottage we stayed at. Very clean and quiet. However I was told I would receive my $750 deposit back. We left there January 30th. It is now March 1st and still no refund. We are an older couple who treated the cottage like it was our own. We have received no call backs!! How can you treat people like this and stay in business?? Encore is now involved from a supervisor. I hope they will help now but I have no expectations!! Never ever go to this place unless you want to throw money away!!! read more

Check in was horrible, was like we bothered the lady! Sites are too small and have to park in grass and Caribbean ants also fire ants a big problem here! Those small Caribbean ants are a real problem as takes along time to rid your rig of them and vehicle too! read more

We arrived at 10:30 pm so our information was easily and nicely secured in the late check in box. We pulled to site and the picnic table was in the middle of the paved pull through site, not a big deal, we got out and pulled it out of the way. This park is quite, not many people doing anything, only saw 2 people in three days, not even an office person! Not a big deal to us, we liked it. The reason why we won't ever go back again are the fire ants. Now we are born and raised Floridians. We grew up with fire ants. But we travel for work and this is the worst campground we've ever been to. Sod is dying and patchy and ants everywhere and along side of slab. I read reviews saying bad fire ants and i thought people were being dramatic, but they aren't. We ended up with fire ants in the trailer. We couldn't let kids outside to play at all in the grass. We always tie our dog out, she's the non barking type that sits in the sun and watches the action. She got caught around the picnic table and then was attacked by fire ants. Yes this is our fault, but it sucked! She dug a hole trying to help herself and sprayed our entire trailer and welcome mat in a thick layer of dirt, so we got sand in the trailer. Oye. Just not an easy stay. Not sure what they can do about ants but like i said, this is worst we've ever seen in SWfl area and we've been otr for 3 years. If you are staying, make sure to get a spot with a paved picnic table area, sites are so skinny otherwise and right out the door your in the fire ant dirt. Or bring a large outdoor mat. Husband wanted to add that the spots are not level at all, and they all appear to be that way. JUST CHANGED RATING - Don't stay here with kids or bring chemicals with you. This is what happened during our 3 night stay. I'll be calling Encore to let them know the true extend of their ant problem. We just had our worst camping experience ever in 3 years of living on the road for my husband's work at Lake Magic RV Resort in Davenport Florida. It's owned by Encore and I'll be calling them. It is so unsafe and scary. I'm born and raised in FL and I KNOW about fire ants... I read the reviews and figured the two bad fire ant reviews were just a bit dramatic... but this park should NOT be open IMO until better measures are taken against the ants. They attacked my dog (we have the silent sit tied up dog that sits in the sun/grass and watches people) which is forgiveable since the dog was in the grass... it happens. But we thought the fire ants in the trailer were from the dog. We went to dinner... came back and fire ants all over our bathroom (searching for water i thought)... i killed them. We went to bed. Woke up to my daughter at 3 am screaming and with a swollen hand. It was dark i didn't really grasp the situation until morning to see HUNDREDS OF FIRE ANTS in our kitchen sink and all over the floor, walls and kids bed. We left quickly to get breakfast. Upon return, believe it or not, it was about to get much worse. They must have moved into the dog food, the dog must have eaten them or they got into her mouth but she had thrown up all over the trailer. Ants EVERYWHERE. Fire ants!!! For those who don't know the amount in our trailer could have easily killed one of our kids if they all attacked them at once. My husband and i don't get frazzled but we were HIGHLY unsettled and extremely frustrated. Husband went outside, a sea of fire ants all over the slab, hundreds marching up our jacks on both ends of the trailer. We spent an hr tearing apart the trailer spraying them with an essential oil blend i made that was killing them. We couldn't even let the kids walk around we were afraid they would get hurt. I needed to do the dishes and just sticking my hand in the sink to grab a dish resulted in fire ants on my hand. I don't need to continue. Needless to say this was absolutely wild and uncharacteristic of what I've ever seen fire ants do. They were obviously desperate for food, water and shelter. This park has a big problem!!! read more

Park will not enforce their one way for vehicles and golf carts. Cement sites have black mold and are not clean for RV-ers. Electric needs to be upgraded, cement walks around the pool areas also have black mold on them as well as one of the lady's bathroom has mold in it. Retention Pond by the laundry needs to be cleaned out to allow it to drain, as it stinks when the wind blows and the temperature is up, from muck that has now appeared. This park seems more like a campground and not an RV Resort. No flowers are planted to make it more inviting. We pay an RV Resort rate, but it is far from a RV Resort! read more

Older park...showing its age. The staff have been very friendly. Check in/out was very easy/efficient. If you book for an extended stay, electrical hook up is charged extra and metered at your site; water & sewer is included in the lot rent; our site: paved, level, pull-thru with easy access and accommodated our large rig. Several different sections within this park-each will give you a very different experience-from the section with mostly permanent mobiles to the section ideal for shorter RVs/5th wheels-the the newer section best situated for RVs over 38'. However the bulk of the lots are in the mid range so vehicles are forced to park in the grassy areas to avoid being on the roads. Thankfully the lots are wide enough to accommodate. The people who stay here are very friendly--always say hello when out and about. Can receive deliveries from FedEx, UPS, Amazon-get info from registration. There are lots of beautiful palm trees throughout--unfortunately someone placed cut up rubber tires around the base of some of the trees as ground cover-it is messy and looks horrible and is not environmentally friendly. Biggest issues: main roads are wide enough for passing vehicles but passages into sites are not; ANTS everywhere; VERY POOR cell service in the area; WiFi is not included-you are pushed to a VERY expensive, very limited monthly plan; cable TV service is very limited/and the signal is very degraded--only a couple of watchable channels--best to have your own alternative satellite; Best plan-book early for the winter! read more

No management skills. Nobody is running this park. People speeding, doing "burn-outs" and driving the wrong way on one-way roads, kids (7-10) years old riding gas powered motorcycles and electric scooters around at speeds much greater than the posted 10 mph. After 5PM it turns into a free-for-all. People shooting shotguns off at the lake, no security which leads to multiple items being stolen, cars broken into. People from outside of the park constantly coming in for activities during a pandemic. Constant vandalism to park and personal property. People taking up 2 campsites or parking 3,4 sometimes 5 vehicles on one site partially blocking the road and nothing being done about it. Drug sales that the previous manager acknowledged, nothing done. Loud parties going on past midnight some nights. Fireworks going off. People not leashing their dogs. RV's allowed in that have mold on them and are falling apart. Nobody is following the rules, and absolutely nobody is enforcing the rules. The sign at the entrance says check-in is at 12PM and check-out is at 11am "strictly enforced", this is a joke. People are leaving well past noon and coming in as early as 9AM. Adults not monitoring their children. Kids broke into the clubhouse and broke items and smashed an ice cream cooler taking the ice cream and throwing outside onto the pool deck at night. A young girl almost drown a couple of weeks ago while swimming after pool hours. The facility is outdated and falling apart and Encore does not put any money into it. This place is off the hook. So, if you don't mind a trailer park atmosphere with management that doesn't care, then this is the place for you. read more

Lake Magic, what happened? This was the place to stay in Clermont, FL with clean and great customer service, well no more. Restrooms are not so clean and staff, seems the smiles are gone. Park was full for the week we were there, perhaps they think if we are full this year, we can let things slip, and we will be full next. Get back to basics! read more
