The sites are spacious and there are plenty of amenities to enjoy. The pool was a little cool after the heavy rain & the gravel roads had some grooves from the water runoff after tropical storm Debby but you could see where they tried to address those areas. There was an antique/classic car exhibition one evening which we enjoyed. We didn't make it a priority to tour the cavern as we live in the area & those are things we often do when we entertain out of state friends & family. Most sites had new picnic tables which was refreshing & clean fire pits. We don't usually frequent the same campground twice but We'd definitely stay here again if we were traveling through the area or just looking to get away for the weekend.

Loved the tour! Huge shout out to the tour guide Wyatt. It was nice to have a guided tour. He was very knowledgeable, and the information given before hand was accurate. I recommend this to anybody in the area.

Our campsite

Excellent RV Park! Spacious sites and private. Very clean. Quiet peaceful stay for us. Spectacular mountain valley views. Easy access in and out of the area. The staff is very nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!!

Great sites! Love the rock wall that divide the sites

Great place!!! Very clean. When you pull in to when you pull out it was a nice experience. The staff is friendly. The scenery is beautiful. The camp is well maintained. (Some of the nicest hookups I've ever used). The caverns tour was a lot of fun. Our guide Jake was a lot of fun and was a wealth of knowledge. He was great with the small children. Definitely worth a stop. Enjoy!

We stayed at the campground in a pull thru full hook up clean site, with friendly & courteous staff, especially Jim, who lead us to our site. While we stayed at the campground, we toured the caverns. Jake was our guide, which left from the main office building. He was excellent, knowledgeable, and enjoyed what he was doing. He was always concerned for everyone's safety, especially mentioning that it would be chilly as we decent and pointing out some slippery spots along the way. He was excellent with the children on the tour by including them in with some one on one or group participation. We hope to return again someday while in the area.

This was a nice stop on our road trip. We have been to many caves over the years. This cave is not as commercialized as most. It is nearly in it original state. Our tour guide Jake did such a good job. I have to say he was the best we have ever had. Well worth our time and money!

Spent the weekend here driving back from Gatlinburg to Pa. Camping sites are huge. We swam in the beautiful pool and we fished. We Enjoyed an amazing sunset hike to the sign, and the view, Wow! We took the cave tour and I could not believe the beautiful work of Mother Nature! It is a must do!!!!! Everywhere we looked there was a different awe inspiring formation. We will stay again if we are in the area.

Just don't. Rude staff , bathrooms are dirty, community center is run down and tent camping is worth about $20 a spot, not a penny more.

Our site was large, shaded and best of all level. No leveling blocks needed. Sites are gravel, clean and well maintained. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! Well stocked store, and they will make and deliver pizza right to your campsite. Typical KOA amenities, and they have a stocked catch and release pond on site for those who love to fish. Lots of activities for the kiddos, too. The road in is a little hilly and several curves, but big rigs shouldn't have any trouble navigating it - the signage on the road is great (funny sign on the road that said "1/2 miles Don't Give Up." Lol). We're more "state park people" in that we enjoy the space and solitude and we don't have kids traveling with us (just dogs), so we don't typically need all the on-site activities. But this week we needed full hook ups, and this park gave us that feel. With so much to do in the area, we didn't get to it all, so we'll be back and we'll definitely stay here again.

It is better to get there by day. It is off the road a bit. You have to park at a stop sign and…read morewalk up a hill to reach the office to check in. The dog park is very small. Lots of larger gravel. The only lighting after dark they had was some that came on as I walked by them attached to trees. We were surrounded by forest so it was kind of scary being out there at 9 in the pitch black. There are lots of weeds that give the dogs briars in their feet. They have a trail you can go on that was nice but after 20mins my dog was ready to turn around. I never found out where that would have taken me lol. That was really the safest bet for walking him. There is many large rocks there. There isn't much grass. The pond is tiny.

It was nice being dropped off and picked up. We did have issues with our card online, but when I called in to book, Nancy was helpful. She got us all situated and sent an email to confirm. We filled out waivers online which was a breeze. We watched a quick safety video, picked up our lifevest and were on our way. The water was the perfect temp, and it was clear. Tips: bring snacks and water. You are out there 4-5 or longer hours. Especially if the water is low, which ours was. We used a waterproof bag and had no issues. We used a tube with a cup holder which was nice. I wore my life vest out of precaution even though I can swim, plus it made it comfortable for my to use it as a neck rest. I've noticed people mention in previous reviews that the bus was dirty ect. Um, you're in the woods. If you get picked up after many other groups the bus will be dirty as everyone is wet coming out of the water no matter what activity you choose. I would not own a brand spanking new vehicle for this type of environment and job. Used is best and saves money I'm sure. Wear a hat and sunglasses, put in that sunscreen. Bring a waterproof phone case/bag. You will have no service out there so put it on airplane mode and use it as a camera.

For $3 or so you can take out a kayak per person per hour. If you're fishing make sure to bring all you need and purchase your license AND additional $5 permit to fish there. They sell small snacks and ice cream. Bathroom situation is dicey considering it's a porta-potty but hey honestly all in all I would come again and I would spend days on end here either by myself or with family.

It is less than 2 hours away so not far away for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle. Our cabin is super cute, cozy and clean. The cabin had a kitchenette with 2 burner stove, mini fridge, paper towel, dishwashing soap, and cooking supplies. The food we brought fit in the fridge. Bathroom was well stocked with plenty of towels, body soap, shampoo & conditioner. We also got 3 bundles of firewood to do some grilling and s'mores. The location was super quiet that you can actually relax. Our favorite part of this trip is definitely the Stroopies. Not your traditional graham cracker s'mores but a chocolate gooey marshmallow sandwiched between 2 caramel filled Stroopaffle. Genius and yummy. We plan on coming back next time and stay at another cabin or other locations in the US. Another positives - the staff are so so friendly and very responsive. They checked up on us every day and throughout the day by text. Not intrusive at all - replenished the stroopies and some of the snacks. One very minor downside, there's not enough plugs especially in the sleeping area for two people who uses medical equipment. The staff did suggest to book an ADA approved cabin & I actually got to check it out. Definitely something to keep in mind for future bookings. Overall a great stay and highly recommend!!!

This cabin also was at the end and felt private, even though I could see my neighbors (who had set up Christmas lights! How fun!) There's also a wonderful hiking trail right by these cabins, 10 and 11, the Red Tail Ridge, that was semi-short (2.5 miles or so if desired to create a loop with Big Oak) and had views of the river and Shenandoah valley below!
