My son had a great lesson yesterday morning and Jamie (owner) and Justin were engaging, safe, and taught a real excitement for surfing!

My husband and daughter signed up for group lessons. Weather was less than agreeable but the instructor prioritized safety and everyone had several chances to catch a wave. My husband has done lessons before and felt the instructions were much clearer with this surf school than prior lessons. My daughter was surfing off the first wave! Great instruction! Justin was our instructor, gave a very thorough "land lesson," followed by lots of good tips and feedback once in the water. We lucked out and essentially scored what ended up as a semi-private lesson for the price of a group lesson, due to the simple fact that no one else signed up for that time slot. It was my first time surfing and was able to get up and cruise after a few failed attempts and some quality pointers from our instructor. Big shout out to Justin for keeping a vigilante eye, and pointing out our errors to help us improve. We could tell he really enjoys surfing and wanted us to "get it" rather than just collect a check. We appreciated all the tips both on and off the water, (including hitting the poke bowls at the neighboring market,) and made sure to leave him one that reflected our appreciation as well! Our instructor was great, very calm and cool, easy to talk to and got us out in the water after our quick pre lesson. Jamie is a very knowledgeable instructor and gave really clear instructions for our three kids (ages 9, 13 and 15). He taught them form at the shop so when they hit the water they were able to understand his instruction. We went during high season and there were a lot of other surfers on the beach but it didn't seem to slow down the surfing. All three kids were up and surfing by the end of the 1.5 hour lesson and had a great time. We would do it again! read more

I had a private lesson with them back in November of last year and it was epic! I reached out before the lesson to describe what I was looking for, and they were super communicative accurately assessing my skill level and determining a plan for the appropriate spot, board, and instruction. I'm a novice surfer looking to improve and they dialed in a perfect plan. The day of, Coordination and meet up was super smooth and convenient. Within 15 minutes we were in the water at the perfect spot for my skill level. Alika my instructor was expert at explaining things in an easily understandable way, from the paddle out through the key hole, to positioning, reading waves at that spot, all through catching the wave. I surfed some of the best waves of my life, and it felt like a session with a friend, even though I was learning so much as Alika was super willing to share knowledge about the spot, other spots around that might work for my novice skills, surf scene in Kauai, and whatever questions I had about technique. Nothing felt rushed, and Alika took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly and explain how he was reading waves based on decades of experience. And made sure to guide me into plenty of waves of course. Before we took one in, he also made sure I felt confident in surfing the spot solo so i had a go to for the remainder of the trip. After the session, we chatted for a few minutes about Kauai surfing and he shared some great stories about legendary pros. Through and through a fantastic experience, well worth it. I know there's a lot of surf schools in Kauai, but can't imagine one being better than Endless Summer. read more

Justin was a patient and very detailed teacher. He slowed everything down on the dry session so you really understood the mechanics. Everyone in our group caught their first wave and rode it to the beach. He was very careful about wave selection. Experience counts. read more

The fellas at Endless Summer really made our 10 year old daughter feel comfortable and she was riding waves on the 2nd try. She was the only kid in a group of adults but she probably rode more waves than the adults (!) and the instructors were all about it, they were patient and supportive with her throughout. I highly recommend Endless Summer! Jamie was one of the instructors (my daughter called him Hawaiian Ken ) and I forget the other gentleman's name but he said he was a arborist by trade and lived in Cali awhile before returning back to Kauai where he grew up as a kid. All these reviews are no joke. Alika and Jaime are absolutely awesome. My 7 yr old daughter was up and riding waves from the start. They both are so fun and supportive. She went from being so nervous before to having the best time. For the rest of the trip, every time we drove by the shop, we heard from the kids - 'Can we stop by and say hi to the guys?'. Out of the several surf schools throughout Kauai, I decided to book with Endless Summer Surf after reading such positive reviews. My group agreed this was about the best decision I made this trip LOL Hands down BEST activity we did in Kauai - definitely recommend booking with Endless Summer Surf! Jaimie and Alika were great instructors, we had a timely start and learned the basics on land, behind their storefront where they set up a nice shaded cabana-ish area. We then went to a small beach in the Poipu area to surf on water. I was super nervous about the overall experience since many others told me that surfing can be unenjoyable given how unlikely you'll stay on top of the board .. but Jaimie was calm and helpful throughout the entire time for our group. He didn't info overload, and EVERYONE in my group was standing tall on their boards! I booked a semi private lesson for my husband and my 13 year old son as a fun surprise while we were in Kauai. They had a BLAST and were consistently standing and riding the (albeit tiny) waves very quickly. Their instructor was Justin and he was really friendly, a clear communicator and very encouraging. Jamie is 100% the best. Hilarious and animated, but also calm and methodical in his teaching. I was up surfing my very first try in the water (and the rest of the lesson too), and I take very little credit for it - Jamie is an excellent teacher with a wealth of surfing and island knowledge. This was an adventure that I was not so sure I would enjoy. I booked it more for the teen boys. How could you not - Kaua'i, warm water, sun? BUT, I was completely and totally WRONG! I enjoyed this so much. Our instructor, Alika (Sorry for misspelling) was phenomenal. I had a hard time standing up on the board so he modified it for me and I nailed it. Of course the boys and my husband did very well. We received through instructions. Whatever you do - DON'T LOOK DOWN. Number 1 reason people fall. Ohhh, you'll fall but you'll get back on that board and swim back out to do it all over again. Our family highly recommends this school!! You won't be disappointed. My husband and I had the best time with Endless Summer Surf School. We went for a semi-private lesson and Keola was an incredible teacher. The land lesson he provided beforehand was far more detailed than other surf lessons I've taken and was super helpful once we were in the water. We also got incredibly lucky with timing - we got started just as other classes were ending so we had the water to ourselves! Keola did a great job of getting us on waves and would correct our form with each wave we caught -- I wasn't expecting to catch so many, I was starting to feel like a bona fide surfer! My family and I had a great experience with Jamie and Alika with Endless Summer. None of us had ever surfed before. Jamie gave us a really structured lesson at the shop to start the day. He gave each us very specific pointers to get a foundation for what to do to get up on the board. Once in the water Jamie and Alika worked well together to get each of us plenty of opportunities to ride the waves.
