It hurt a bit but I was numbed and didn't think much of it. When I got in the car I saw it turned into a noticeable blister and was getting more painful. I decided to politely ask what I could do to speed up the healing process and instead of giving me real advice the dentist implied that it was a cold sore! At this point I'm frustrated because the dentist is denying responsibility and because I now have to go into my customer facing job with a painful blister on my lip. He eventually admits to it and admits noticing it during the procedure, but assures me it won't leave a burn mark (it did) and that I wouldn't be charged for the previous dental cleaning (I was). I have been a long time patient and this comes after dealing with some strange scheduling and billing practices as of late. I would avoid at all costs!

I must say, I do wish I would've just called him from the beginning. The staff was pleasant and professional. Dr. Lane was informative and attentive to my needs. I didn't get anything done that day, but set up an appointment for first thing next morning. I was in and out in about 45 minutes, tops (I had an infected wisdom tooth pulled). I have always had trouble finding a dentist or oral surgeon who doesn't think I'm crazy when it comes to pain. My experience at Dr. Lane's office tops all others and I will definitely see him again.

I go in for a consultation on Wednesday to be schedule to have I.V. SX to remove 5 teeth on Friday. The girls were great by the way. I asked while in the chair, will I be awake or feel anything? The girl said you will be completely aware but comfortable. She also said I should not feel ANY pain, but maybe pressure. If I do feel pain say something. Well, all of a sudden I FEEL EVERYTHING!! Excruciating PAIN!!! My mom can hear me yelling from the waiting room. I tell Dr. Lane it hurts badly! I expressed this with conviction 3 times. The 3rd time I said something, he throws his hands down and says,"I CAN STOP THE SX RIGHT NOW AND YOU CAN GET UP AND LEAVE"! OMG!! I'm in the chair mouth wide open and gums cut open while he is extracting my teeth and he says that? I immediately go into scared mode and starr to cry. I am mortified by his ethics. This really frightens me to think I may not be the ONLY one he has done this to? I really hope if he has done this to others, hopefully not children that people come forward. I will not be silenced! I have never experienced such quick, quality dental care before! I chipped my front tooth on my birthday. I called them at 8 am and by 10 my tooth looked amazing and was way sturdier than the filling I had in it from my established dentist. I just can't put into words how sweet and funny everyone was. I was in town for a bachelorette party and passed out at the bar, landing face first. Part of one of my molars broke off and I could not eat anything on that side of my mouth. I live in the Northeast and thought I might be shit out of luck until I was able to get home. I frantically searched for emergency dentists to try to take care of this problem ASAP. I made an appointment with someone for a day and a half later who was a total asshole on the phone. We looked him up shortly after making the appointment and all of the reviews online were horror stories. There was no way I was going to take a chance with Dr. Saw and some how came across Dr. Rathke. Because I was calling on a weekend, the answering machine message provided his cell phone which I felt weird about but desperate times call for desperate measures. He actually responded to my texts immediately and scheduled me for an appointment on Monday. It must have been meant to be bc his office was literally right across the street from my hotel. The office is clean and modern. They took me immediately and got to work with no waiting. Dr. Rathke and his entire staff were extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. He explained all of my options and the cost before doing anything. I was thrilled to find out that I didn't need a crown and he was able to fill that bad boy up and get me good as new. He also told me to call or come back the following day if I had any issues with the filling. I literally don't have enough good things to say about this dental office and I cannot express how grateful I am for the service he provided, getting me back to eating red beans and rice without limitations. Tooth #3 is the 3rd one from the back (well really 2nd if you don't have wisdom teeth) on the right side. Previously having ANY sort of dental work on my back teeth causes my jaw to seize up. Not so with this root canal. The work was fast and good. I even got to view my xrays immediately via their fancy computer system. The one live root left in my tooth was disturbing (so y'know I thought I would share). The extra money to go to a specialist was TOTALLY worth it for the savings in pain.

Dental offices and medical clinics are supposed to go by quite fast to meet the next patients needs on schedule, but it was nicely paced. The dental assistants front desk and back house and extremely knowledgeable. We went in for a consult and our insurance covered it. A week later we scheduled an appt for the procedure. She had 2 extractions on same day and paid for that procedure on the day of the extraction. Payment/procedure plans are given to you ahead of time after the consult. Dr. Wilk allowed me to sit in with my mom to translate for her and watch the procedure the whole time. His assistants are great and work together with superb confidence. The office looks renovated with newer equipment. It was very clean. The DA also asked if I wanted something to drink. I highly recommend Dr. Wilk for your oral surgery needs. Professional, speedy, and genuine! Not to mention, he has many certs and degrees on his walls. He's gone through a lot to become a great oral surgeon!

The staff is friendly and the office is immaculate. Any questions amd concerns were addressed. I wasn't nervous going into it all and the lady made me feel at ease. We chatted as she administered the laughing gas. It was my first time getting that as I started to feel evrything fade away. I was knocked out before I knew it and woken up at the end of it all. I felt pretty fine and was able to walk and talk through all the gauze. Nurse wheeled me out to my car and here I am recovering at home. The only problem I had was my PA for my procedure but they helped me as best as they could. The rest is up to insurance. I definitely recommend Dr. Wilk to anyone! I was happy from my consulatation to after my procedure.
