To Whom it May Concern: Dr. Jamie Greear- Schmidt of Holistic Life Dentistry of Littleton, Colorado was my holistic dental provider from Monday, September 15, 2025 through Monday, October 13, 2025. From the first call with Allison Gaynor, her incredibly kind front office employee, I felt very comfortable going to this dentist. It should be known immediately that the buck stops there. There is a very good reason Dr. Greear-Schmidt has Ali (aka Allison Gaynor) running her office. Ali is incredibly kind, genuine and honest people. Frankly, it hurts my heart to have to write this about her employer. In hindsight, I can see where I went wrong trusting this dentist. The staff there made me feel very comfortable, but I believe wholeheartedly Dr. Jamie is a sheep in wolf's clothing. She has a staff that is there running her office and her practice while she robs people of their money with her shotty work that she calls "holistic dentistry". I even referred quite a few people to her right away after my first appointment because I really liked it there and thought if such great people work for her, maybe my gut was wrong about the actual dentist herself. After my initial appointment, which was simply some x-rays and a game plan for what totaled out to be upwards of $20,000 without her even taking the time to exam me, I should have known better. This dentist simply relies on x-rays for the expensive repair work and does not do much examining herself. I think she leaves the real work to her staff. I have several cavities that need attention and I knew this going in but those were of no interest to her because they do not provide her the big-ticket sale she's aiming for before you figure out who she really is. Immediately after sending several people her info, I had a few friends of my own reach back out to me that they did some digging and found some information about her that I may want to look into myself and unfortunately, I had already paid her $650 for a mouth guard to sleep and two crowns priced at $1600 each . She doesn't accept insurance so I paid for these items out of pocket and made the mistake of paying paper cash so I can't even have my credit card company go to bat for me. Don't make the same mistake I did. Wait to pay until the work is complete. You will thank me if you waited to read this until after you are her patient and give her money you will never get back after she ruins your dental experience too. It's bad enough you're having someone work on your mouth and that's a fear for most people but then to find out you had a snake in there, you'll have some PTSD too. Thanks for that Dr. Jamie. I had one of my two crowns (#31 and #20) she put in for me come off within about 3 weeks and of course their nice comfy work schedule/office hours made it so I had to seek out other dental treatment options. After looking at the x-ray Dr. Jamie did of my crown that came off (#31) you can see very clearly, there is a gap between the crown and the tooth. This is clearly why it came off. In my opinion, of course. After seeing another dentist and them x-raying #31 with the crown resting in place the dentist declined to reset it for me because then she is responsible for that tooth and that is not up to her standards. #20 however looks good and if that were to come off, she'll gladly reset that one. Crown #31 should never have been set in the manner it was. It needed quite a bit of work to set it properly, but she already got paid so she just popped it in and sent me on my way. When I questioned why we would make a mouthguard for me when we had such a long journey ahead of work that would alter the anatomy of my mouth, she assured me she could adjust the guard to fit as we made changes. Somehow, I just know NOW she would have tried to sell me another one once that broke because of all the weak points that would have been created over time by altering it so much. The $650 mouth guard she sold me I'm sure covered her car payment for a month or so. I hope she feels good about that. Ugh, the greed. It's gross. Almost as gross as the nasty response I received from her when I respectfully requested a refund for my crown that was done so poorly. Check out my photos to read both my email and her response. She had two ways to go about this: (a.) do the right thing: apologize for the trouble I'm having, refund me for the crown and own that she could have done better. Or (b.) blame me for the crown coming off, be defensive and literally get mad at me for seeking treatment elsewhere when her office was closed the day my crown came off. I felt it was absolutely necessary to share my experience with others as to avoid the same loss as I did and avoid the trauma of working with someone so unprofessional and poor at their job. There is a reason she costs so much, it's not because she's holistic, it's because she only has patients long enough to rake over the coals. read more

The moment I walked in the door I felt comfortable. I have been going here for over a year to get my dental work done as I didn't feel comfortable anywhere that didn't have a holistic approach to health. I have had cleanings, a few small fillings and now I am in the last stages of having a metal implant of 30 years replaced with a ceramic base. I'm getting rid of all the metal in my mouth. 30+ years ago we didn't know how dangerous this was for our overall health. Dr. Jamie and her team, Ali and Lisa have also been very informative and compassionate. The placement of the post was perfect! And shall I say painless. I have a sensitivity to Novocain that causes my blood pressure to drop and knocks me out for the day. Previous Dentist didn't have any alternatives so they just gave me as little as possible. Dr. Jamie used something else and what I loved is that I left the office feeling like myself and able to function for the rest of the day. This to me made all the difference in the world. Dr. Jamie is incredibly knowledgeable, gentle, and truly aligned with holistic practices. She's extracted two root-canaled teeth for me so far, and both have healed beautifully. I've been a patient here for a few years now--getting regular cleanings, fillings, and now extractions--and I've consistently had a positive experience. The entire team is kind, professional, and makes the environment feel calm and anxiety-free. I am more emotionally disturbed about this service or lack thereof then likely any other I have received in all of my 52 years. And just because I'm writing this review 2 years later Jamie, does not diminish these sad facts, whatsoever. And I am reminded of it everyday and every time I have to look in the mirror. After having Jamie work on my mouth, I cannot smile the same. When I came to Jamie I had a bridge that needed to be replaced. It was breaking and she assured me that she could help. I had been in a terrible bicycle accident years prior and unfortunately suffered such damage to my front teeth that I lost one and needed to have two others crowned. The reason I chose a bridge is because I didn't want the implant screws and to deal with the failure rate and such. Jamie acted like she didn't know about the "failure rate" of implants. When it came time to remove the temporary she had placed, she could barely do it and practically had to stand on my chest to get this thing off of my teeth! It was as if she had accidentally used the permanent bonding cement. By the time she got it off, my teeth were so traumatized, my head wasspinning. If that wasn't enough, she went on to immediately fit the permanent Bridge . I had to ask her if she could place it so that I could see if I even liked it. As she placed it over the sad little stubs of teeth I have left, the bridge kept falling off before I could see in the mirror. I could hardly believe how she reacted to this, she actually laughed. I was just sickened. I'll never forget it. Still frustrated and traumatized, I told her it didn't seem right. She had nothing to offer and just seemed to be standing there waiting on me. I didn't know what to do, only to trust her and to continue on. Very shortly afterward, I came to deeply regret that I didn't trust my instincts. Despite giving her pictures of my beautiful natural teeth before the accident I now have a very ugly smile. At first I wasn't sure why, but it wasn't long, before I could see that it is because these teeth are simply too short. It makes me sick to my stomach. For somebody who looks at teeth all day long, you would think she would have recognized this. After having them bonded on permanently I knew I was literally stuck with them, unless I wanted to risk traumatizing or damaging what was left of my teeth even further. When I left her office that day I told her I was unhappy, that I didn't like the work and that it didn't look right. What did she say?? "I'm sorry". And when I told her again at a follow-up that's all she had to say. What did she do?? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Why would she do anything, she had already been paid $10,000, that is!! read more

I was a patient at this office four years ago, and it has taken me years to begin to heal from the emotional trauma I endured -- and I still carry the effects of it today. After having my second child, I developed many cavities and sought out "holistic" care here, hoping for a more natural approach. Instead, I received a brief, maybe 20-second explanation about why this might have happened, followed by a recommendation for numerous fillings. What followed were unnecessarily large fillings for small cavities. I was shocked by the size of some of the fillings compared to the cavities themselves. Many of these fillings fell out within the first year, while fillings from far more affordable dentists have lasted without issue. I've spent a great deal of time and money getting Dr. Jamie's poor work fixed and replaced. On one occasion, I had fillings done at this office, and after completing half of them, I was told there was a schedule conflict. I had to sit in the chair, numb, for nearly an hour before the rest of the work could be finished. I've since moved away from CO but I strongly urge you to take your money and teeth elsewhere. Find a dentist who will truly care for both your oral health and your well-being. I regret not writing this review sooner, but the emotional impact of this experience has been difficult to overcome. I wasted three weeks dealing with the incompetent front desk coordinator, Allison. Due to my medical conditions, I'm traveling from out of state to see my CO Doctor who recommended this practice for a dental procedure needed. Allison was a huge barrier, would not return calls promptly, very hard to work with on even basic requests, even my current dentist had a difficult time getting the records over to this office and had to send them more than once. Eventually I realized the appointment date she booked was not even a day that I was in CO and I tried to fix that but was told by Allison "I wasn't a good fit" Now I will go without the care, from the dentist recommended and a provider I won't be able to even meet because of Allison. You would think this provider would want to know more about how her patients are being treated. As a professional advocate, my dealings w Allison were always courteous, resourceful and respectful, but even those skills were not a match to the difficulties of working with this incompetent employee. read more

My kids love the dentist!! Have been going here for over a year. Have been in 3+ times with my 5 and 3 year old and they love it! The staff are so welcoming and the environment is very down to earth. The cleanings are always gentle. We love the holistic approach that is used and that our kiddos are not exposed to toxic chemical. read more

Another voice on 'worst dentist EVER'!!! Just hideous treatment from this 'medical professional' who bills herself as 'holistic'. I wish I woulda seen these reviews first before I went there. So, what should have been a very simple procedure for an experienced professional turned into a nightmare because she did not know how to do it correctly and once informed of the simple, correct way to do it, refused to fix the problem SHE CAUSED!!! Just an assembly line 'Karen' who sees patients as dollar $ign$ rather than human beings, so much for 'holistic'. WARNING!!! I first met Dr. Jamie and have been going here for about 4 years when they first opened. I had tried another holistic dentist who I wasn't very happy with. Reading the negative reviews below, I felt the need to address what some other people wrote...I am not a personal friend of the dentist or anyone in the office but I've had great experiences here. I was informed about the no insurance policy but they were happy to give me a generic form which was successfully submitted to my insurance company. My insurance company doesn't cover much of the expense of an out-of-pocket visit other than general cleaning and x-rays but still, not getting the treatment from a regular dentist who has no conception of what a holistic dentist does and the training they go through to give you the best treatment available without mercury, flouride, and the other accepted treatments from the medical industrial complex is SO refreshing and much more natural and healthy. Yes, holistic dentistry costs more but I feel my health is worth it. Hopefully insurance companies will get on board someday with natural treatments. Dr. Jamie is always friendly and so is the staff. I also appreciated the no vaccine required stance as I believe we should have medical authority over our own bodes and should be free to choose what we put in them. read more

Avoid this "Dentist" at ALL costs! I'm not even sure she can qualify as an actual dentist. This was quite possibly the worst dental experience I have ever had with a medical "professional". The ONLY good thing I can say, is the office past the entry was pretty, but that isn't why I go to a dentist. I was quoted one price prior to booking an appointment then charged double that amount which had to be paid out of pocket since they don't bill insurance, which wasn't stated prior to booking. I was also informed that since I had been vaccinated, she would not do any work on me because this was placing HER in danger of, I guess by pure osmosis being affected somehow by my vaccination. *Yeah, AVOID this business at all cost! read more

First, I must say that Dr. Jamie Great-Schmidt did an outstanding on the 3 crowns that she skillfully put into my mouth in 2021. For that, I give her 5*. HOWEVER, I give her a 1*. for refusing to treat my husband when we arrived for our first appointment, because he had received one J&J COVID shot in order to see his doctor in a hospital. And she continued to refuse to treat him when we last inquired about her COVID policy in April, 2023, even though he never got a booster since early 2021. So, this sounds like a political maneuver, rather than one based on genuine health concerns, and for that I give her 1* read more

I went here because I had an infected tooth. I don't want to go to a different dentist because I didn't want a root canal! I had to get my tooth extracted! Getting a tooth is never fun but I felt safe and thankful to be cared for by them. read more

This dental office is wonderful. Dr Jamie is the only dentist I trust with my family's dental needs. Her holistic approach to dentistry is so refreshing. It makes me feel safer that she takes health and wellness seriously by her policy to not work with those who have had the covid shots due to contraindications with some treatments. DON'T go here!!!! I had a cavity fixed and have never had a tooth hurt worse after treatment until I went here. I had major swelling and what felt like an abscess where she did the numbing shot which didn't wear off until the next day. I still can barely chew on that side of my mouth! Went back to have the tooth looked at because I was having so much pain still and the dentist was rude and said everything looked fine. Now I need to find a new dentist to see what this dentist did to my tooth. I have had to reschedule my cleaning three times because of issues with the hygienist, every time was another month out and then today found out my appt was at the wrong time so I missed it! The office is pretty and the front office staff is nice but those are the only positive things about this place. read more

Please just avoid this place. I was tempted by the fact that it's "holistic." The dentist did two crowns for me on the same tooth, the first was laughably horrible, the second was also bad. The nurse kept inferring it was all in my head. $1600 down the drain. Had to get it redone. Asked for my medical records to be mailed to me, and I received just a few records, not complete. Dr. Jamie is caring and very knowledgeable, we have switched care for our whole family to her. I love that she uses ozonated water for all her treatments, that this is a fluoride free practice and also that she would recommend products to help the oral microbiome to prevent cavities in my children. The office is pretty with a pleasant waterfall, so I'll give a star for that. The hygienist is nice and cleans teeth alright, so I'll give another star for that. If you have pain or teeth that need work, you'll enjoy the waterfall and decorations while the dentist barely numbs you. Then after the work is done, you'll go home to find in a few days, nothing is improved, and you're out a bunch of money. Kinda sucks. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a dentist office or perhaps anywhere. While the office is perfectly clean and they were relatively friendly, they did not follow any protocols regarding covid, and they failed to mention this when I called in advance to set up an appointment. I told them I had avoided the dentist due to concerns around covid and yet they did not mention that masks weren't required and social distancing wasn't practiced either. When I realized this after my appointment and asked about it they basically said 'they know the real science of masks'. (And for the record this appointment was prior to the rollout of the vaccination so these protocols were even more important at this time.) Even more shocking was the fact they they don't bill insurance, another thing that they did not mention over the phone, even thought they required me to fill out new patient info requesting my insurance info. While a business has every right to follow or not follow general norms and protocols I think it's their obligation to share this with prospective clients in advance. They requested my insurance info just like any other dentist so I had no idea until after the appt when I had to pay several hundred dollars out of pocket and they also said no holistic dentist would ever bill insurance directly, which is completely untrue. Also worth noting, they gave me an estimate for $7,000 worth of work they said I needed and two other dentists did not recommend the same treatment plan, so make of that what you will. read more
