Dr. Lee does an excellent job of bringing you along throughout the process. He's not only knowledgeable, but also takes the time to explain what's happening so you feel confident and informed about your care. What truly set this experience apart was the level of customer service. I even received a call on Sunday to check in and make sure I was doing well. I had been experiencing pain under a crowned tooth for about ten months and it started to intensify to the point of waking me up at night. I expressed concern to my regular dentist, Dr Bennett (also great), they called Endodontics of Denver, and Dr Lee and his team got me in THE SAME DAY within hours!! I was impressed with his whole team from the moment I walked in the door. Dr Lee performed a root canal on my tooth without the need to remove the crown and I was able to sleep again! Great experience for me. Dr. Lee took me in on very short notice to deal with an infection in an old root canal done by another endodontist years ago. As a physician, I found Dr. Kott's practice clinically and professionally impressive. After suffering a nightmare of a toothache over the weekend, I left a voicemail at his office Sunday morning and received a return phone call within an hour of opening Monday morning. My apologies for not recalling his front office manager's name, but she was great at vetting my insurance (in network), providing me a quote and offering multiple same day options. In my specific case, my dentist (from Wynkoop Dental across hall which I also recommend) referred me for a root canal. Dr. Kott, asked a number of questions, conducted an exam, and explained a very easy to follow assessment along with a prognosis and treatment options. We moved forward with the procedure and he did an excellent job numbing the area and I was done within an hour. Thank you Dr. Kott, Jordan and the rest of the staff. Very disappointed in this Endodontic. From parking to charging exorbitant amounts to service. I suggest avoiding this endodontic. I came by in early April seeing an opinion on a root canal. I was scheduled an appointment and I arrived 20 minutes early. The parking situation is a bit of a nightmare, the meters out front max out at two hours... but are usually taken. The suggested garage parking by reception is around $10 an hour and Endodontics of Denver will only cover $2 of it. A bit baffling if you ask me. The building is very difficult to get around, corridors leading you to different buildings, unlockable doors, very few signs and directions. The appointment was very basic, chatted with a nurse about my symptoms, doctor Kott came by, chatted with him. He lightly hammered on my tooth with with his tool, applied cold to my tooth to test the nerve and they took an xray. All very basic. I was given an estimate for a root canal $300 more than what I ended up paying after seeking a second opinion. I gave more than 24 hours notice on cancellation of my appointment. Went about my way... or so I thought. Two weeks later, I received a bill in the mail for more than $200 for their service. Im sorry... for what? As I mentioned previously in my review, the service I was given was beyond basic, in fact my general dentist charges half if not a quarter of the cost for the exact same service. I've attempted to discuss my bill multiple times with Endodontics of Denver, calling and leaving multiple messages with zero response. So, at this current moment, I suggest staying far from here if you're looking for oral surgery. read more

Why write a review about an Endodontist, you ask? What is Endodontics? What comes to mind when I mention these two words.... Root Canal! Horrors! Horrors! Horrors! According to Wikipedia, Endodontics is...."Endodontics (from the Greek endo "inside"; and odons "tooth") is the dental specialty concerned with the study and treatment of the dental pulp. Endodontists perform a variety of procedures including endodontic therapy (commonly known as "root canal therapy"), endodontic retreatment, surgery, treating cracked teeth, and treating dental trauma. Root canal therapy is one of the most common procedures..." It was the weekend, and of course you want to just relax on the weekend, at least, that was my plan. I woke up Saturday morning with a toothache. I had never had a toothache before, and I've heard they hurt. Well, let me tell you, that they H-U-R-T!. We (the hubby and I) went to King Soopers and bought some Anbesol. Yes, you know the stufff, that is, " fast acting, and provides on-contact pain relief of minor mouth irritations or even tough toothache pain." Well, I went through the one tube within a short amount of time. The pain would come back, and it was another trip to King Soopers, but this time we bought several more tubes. By the end of the weekend, I decided I had to call the doctor. I called my family doctor first, as I knew that I was having sinus problems, probably a sinus infection. I called my doctor's office, and an appointment was made for mid morning. I then called my dentist office, and explained the situation: toothache, sinus problems, etc. I was given an appointment 1 hour after the doctor's appointment. I went to my doctor. She provided me with a prescription to treat the sinus infection, but she thought it was problems with my tooth. I went to the dentist, and he said he thought it was my sinus, but he referred me to a specialist, an endodontist. I was able to get into the endodontist the next day, thank goodness! I went to the endodontist, Dr. Jeremy Kott, of Endodontics of Denver. I explained the situation, and he listened very patiently. He took some xrays, and then did a "Cold test." This was where he touched several teeth, around the tooth that was giving me the problem, and that actual tooth. He told me to raise my hand when I felt the cold, and then lower it when the cold went away. Easy enough. I raised my hand, lowered my hand, raised my hand, lowered my hand. I waited for the cold to come again, and I waited. I thought to myself, "OK, Doctor, touch my tooth with the cold, so I can raise my hand." Nothing. Then, the cold came again, and I raised my hand. You get the picture. Well, after that brief test, and looking at the xrays, Dr. Kott explained that the tooth I had been having problems with was actually "dead." Great! When he did the "Cold Test," all worked as it should have, but when it came to that tooth. He had touched the one tooth, the tooth when I didn't raise my hand, when I waited for him to continue the testing, and I felt nothing. The nerve endings in that tooth were dead, thus I didn't feel anything. He said the problems was the teeth on either side of that specific tooth, were the ones having the problem, which made sense to me. Dr. Kott then went through and explained all of my options, and he answered my questions. It wasn't a rush-rush time. He even answered my question of what would happen if I didn't have the root canal. Hey, you have to ask! The Root Canal, really wasn't that bad at all. I was so dreading having a root canal. And, I must admit, that I don't want another one, as I am planning on keeping all of my teeth for a very, very long time. But, if I ever have to have another Root Canal, I most definitely will go back to Dr. Jeremy Kott at Endodontics of Denver. The worse part was the shot to numb the mouth, which really, when you think about it, is what you expect. The actual root canal really wasn't bad at all, and I'm not kidding about that. Hey, if you have to have a root canal, it's because the tooth is dead, so you don't feel it anyway! I did not go back to work that day. I could have, but was very tired afterwards, as I wasn't sure what to expect, as I had never had a root canal before, and I was wiped out. I did take the suggested Advil every few hours the remainder of the day, as well as the next. After that, I didn't need it. I did go back to work the next day, with no problems. It took about 1 week for my mouth to feel normal again, to be able to comfortably chew food on that side of the mouth. All in all, it really wasn't bad at all. So, go to Endodontics of Denver, and see Dr. Jeremy Kott, if you ever need a Root Canal. read more

Dr. Kott is fantastic! He and his staff are such caring and knowledgeable people. The office is modern and sparkling clean. I came to Dr. Kott after my general dentist missed a nerve in each of the 2 root canals that I had done years previous. After realizing that I had 2 failed root canals, I was told my only option was to have an apicoectomy. I was absolutely terrified. I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Kott. He is so confident and well educated, he really put my fears to rest. Not only was he able to re-treat both of the root canals, he was also able to restore my trust in dentists. I had an apicoectomy performed by Dr. Kott Monday morning, July 9. From my first diagnostic appointment through today, Thursday, July 12, (to have sutures removed!) Dr. Kott and his entire staff have been very professional, knowledgeable, and concerned. He explains options, procedures, etc., and I immediately felt comfortable in this office. His gentle nature and skill are evident, and I remained confident and trusted him throughout the process. Infected Root Canal that landed me in the hospital!! I went to Dr. Kott for an emergency root canal that went very, very badly. The actual procedure seemed to go okay, from what I could tell, but when I returned to his office the very next day in extreme pain and having trouble swallowing he acted like I being was overly dramatic. When I asked what can we do he smugly replied with "well I guess I could put you on some Penicillin" You guess?!? If you see that I have an infection in a tooth why on earth would you not put me on antibiotics!?! I then asked if he thought that I would be okay to travel considering the pain I was in to which he replied "yes, of course you'll be fine". Trusting the doctor I proceeded to go on the trip to Florida for what was supposed to last 3 days. The next day I had to be rushed to the hospital, in Florida, for what would be the first of 2 emergency room visits, 2 stays in the ICU and 2 surgeries. I had developed a severe abscess that had traveled across my mouth and down into my throat closing off my airway. The Catt scans and all other tests pointed directly to the infected tooth. Not only was this gross negligence but his bedside manner is non-existent. I honestly think that if he would have listened to me and treated me with even a bit of reasonable care I would have been okay. I would NEVER EVER go back to this office and recommend that anyone reading this do the same! If I could leave 0 stars I would. 1 is far too much!! read more

A+, 15 gold stars, I cannot say enough positive praise about Dr. Kotts and his staff especially Amber and Sarah. I have had root canals before and they have been long, arduous, painful and horror inspiring. This is NOT the case with Dr. Kotts. Dr. Kotts has an advanced root canal technique that minimized the root canal time to less than 45 minutes and that was going through a bridge. I voiced my anxiety and concern for the procedure and Amber was extremely caring and encouraging. Dr. Kotts specifically made room for me in his busy schedule because of the pain that I was experiencing. I arrived in tears and left with a smile. Took a month to get through consultation to actual root canal Appt.. Dr Kott was running a little late; no worries, as I was in no hurry. However, Dr seemed frustrated while training a new tech, was in hurry to catch up. As a result, I did not get good pain management. Even after indicating I needed more lidocaine (practically jumped out of the chair), he continued to work with a drill on my tooth, was several minutes before he gave more medication. Dr/Staff seemed stressed, no casual conversation, didn't feel like they were tuned into me; certainly didn't alleviate any of my anxiety about having my first root canal, dreading another already!!! read more
