I'm so impressed that I am beginning to take my 76 year old Mom to see them for balance issues bc of hearing loss. Yes! They do that, as well! You will be in great hands with Welch! Sometimes Love Shows Up Wearing Purple. It…read morehas been almost a week since I walked into ApexNetwork Physical Therapy in San Tan Valley expecting an ordinary PT day and found something I will never forget. The day has passed, but the love I felt that morning certainly has not. Eric, Ian, Justin, and Katie, my therapists, Stephanie and Makayla, the tech assistants, and Jay, the PT student, were all wearing purple. They were wearing purple for Jackie, the beloved Big Bear bald eagle whom I watched for years through the Friends of Big Bear Valley nest camera. Jackie became such an important part of my daily life that I eventually wrote twelve books filled with my memories and stories about Jackie, Shadow, and their family. Then I noticed Eric had even changed the ApexNetwork signs to purple. It was one more little detail that told me how much thought had gone into making that day special for me. They did not simply put on purple shirts. They created a whole room filled with purple and, more importantly, filled it with love. They knew how deeply I loved Jackie and how much losing her affected me. They had listened to my stories, remembered how much she meant to me, and cared enough to honor her with me. I cannot adequately explain what that did to my heart. I felt surprised, honored, loved, and very special. ApexNetwork is a wonderful place to receive physical therapy, but I have learned that what makes this particular place so extraordinary is the staff within those walls. Their knowledge and dedication help strengthen my body three times a week, but their kindness, laughter, compassion, and friendship have helped me in ways that have nothing to do with physical therapy. Somewhere along the way, they became people I look forward to seeing, laughing with, and spending time with. Almost a week later, I can still feel the love they gave me that morning. When I look at this photograph, I see much more than purple shirts and purple signs. I see kindness. I see friendship. I see a group of people who cared enough to say, "Mary Ann, we know you miss her, and today we remember her with you." From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Eric, Ian, Justin, Katie, Stephanie, Makayla, and Jay. You touched my heart more deeply than you will ever know. I went to physical therapy to strengthen my body, but that morning they helped strengthen my heart. Almost a week has passed; the purple shirts have been put away, and the signs have returned to their usual color, but what all of you did for me is still wrapped around my heart. And somewhere in all that purple, I couldn't help but think our Queen Jackie would have approved.

There are a plethora of physical therapy offices here in the valley. There's no reason to go to…read moreone who isn't meeting your needs. Firstly, the staff at the front desk lie and make it as though you're the fool who got it wrong. You never get the same therapist twice, which makes it so a therapist needs to examine your chart so that they can remember who you are. I came here for my neck and lower back. I've gotten about 3 treatments on my neck so far. However, last week when Ava was going to do traction on my back, I asked her if she would do my neck as well. Her reply was a snippy "well, the order only is for your back, not your neck so we can't treat your neck." Funny thing tho, I've had my neck treated by other therapists at this facility. Now, all of a sudden, my order doesn't indicate my neck? Further, her tone in telling me this, as well as how she spoke with me in describing each exercise I was to do, was as if she were speaking to a toddler and not a grown woman. I've done these exercises many times and don't need to be explained on how to do them. As well, the client is never supervised while doing the exercises. Instead, the therapists are at tithe desk chit chatting and laughing. I called this morning to ask the front desk to please not put me with Ava again and that I was confirming my 12:00 appt for today. When I arrived, it was said to me, "oh no, your appt is at 1:30." We're all going to lunch now. The receptionist lied and told the head therapist that I never mentioned the time! These women don't listen to the clients when they call. It's as tho they're incapable of doing anything other than appointments which is sad. As well, I've informed them on numerous occasions and it's in my chart that I've had one knee replacement and bilateral hip replacements, yet time and time again, they gave me "pivoting" exercises to do, which couldn't be worse for hip replacement. Be extremely careful if you decide to go here. They don't know what they're doing!

My appointment was at 8:00am, and upon arrival I was told that the Dr I was supposed to see was…read morerunning late. Once the Dr arrived, she took another patient to the back. I could hear the front desk staff discussing how the Dr took the wrong patient and should have called my name instead, thus resulting in me waiting until 8:40am to be called and taken back. The Dr did apologize for not seeing me on the schedule. However, This set back made me late for work, and I do not appreciate this. I received much better care at the Gilbert location.

The therapists I worked with were dry and just didn't put any effort into interacting with me. They seemed bored with their work and I just felt like another number. I come from the yoga and massage world so I know what it means to care about humans when they come to you with their pain. Wouldn't recommend this place for any type of healing. You could do SO much better:
