I don't trust the mail getting it there on time, so I drove 5 miles and hand delivered it. Email would have been way better.

There wasn't a single space where the caulking was actually smooth. Their kick outs consist of a piece of metal folded and caulked to the roof. It is not an actual kick out. they are extremely pushy with their sales tactics... don't fall for their discount offered on site like we did... we wanted the work done in the spring and and very clearly discussed this with the sales team, I got a phone call in January saying that they were having the materials delivered and would start work on Monday. It was the coldest week of the year. when I said no, they told me they had people who needed work and they had to get the materials out of their warehouse. I had no choice in the timing of the project.... they incorrectly quoted the job, they needed more money for more plywood... they had significantly over estimated the materials shipped to the house,(which we paid for) and when the project was finished, they took it all back with them... (and we didn't receive a reimbursement) they disconnected all lines including electrical from our home with out excel energy and then refused to help get the lines reconnected which was thousands more had to be done by a licensed contractor and up to code, with excel energy involve. when I asked about this during the quote we were told " we'll deal with that when the time comes". when discussing our issues with the work completed, we were brushed off and told we signed a contract. overall terrible experience. terrible company. no care in how they leave homes or customers. would not recommend!

Layne came to our home and did an excellent job explaining the different rebate options, financing plans, and the entire insulation process. He made everything easy to understand and stress-free. Alexis and Tarik handled the actual work. They removed all of our old attic insulation, sealed any openings, and installed new insulation that helps repel mice and bugs. The next day, they returned to insulate the walls. They arrived on time, were respectful of our home and furnishings, and left everything clean when they were done. Guy that showed up was in a bad mood and kept complaining about his thermal camera app not working. Weeks later I was still waiting for an estimate to be emailed. Received a call from this company asking me if I wanted to get going on the project. I informed him that I never even received an estimate. He apologized and informed me that the guy at my house no longer works for them. So we set up a new appointment to get an estimate. The 2nd appt I was contacted 20min beforehand by Ryan letting me know that he is 90min away and won't be coming out because it is a waste of his time and his $50 in gas and it would be bad for the planet with his xtra emissions. So here I am 2 months later with no estimate and 2 failed attempts. I attached a photo of the voicemail I received just before my appointment for all of you reading this thinking, it can't really be this bad can it?

The owner came out, inspected, explained in detail what we needed and gave us a quote. He also offered that Xcel was offering a rebate for some of the work we needed down and they would file all the paperwork for it. He was on time, personable and professional and the bid was reasonable and fair. We had the work done and the crew that did the work was on time, efficient, did an excellent clean up after the work was done. They did file the rebate and we received it in the time Xcel said it would take to receive it. It's rare these days to find a business that is honest, timely and fair with respectful crews but Houle Insulation was all of that and more. I would HIGHLY recommend them and in all honesty I am a hard to please customer because I won't "settle" for less than I expect. These guys are good. Because they are good they are busy so just know it may take a little longer to get scheduled but the wait is worth it! We have noticed a huge difference this winter. Heating bills are down and the house feels warmer.

They work very well as a team. We had our home's old insulation extracted from our attics and then spray foamed, followed by an additional blown insulation to an R 50.
