This is a review of the Enfuso.com online ordering experience. I was looking online for a jar of Mission olives to give a friend for a birthday gift, along with a Mission olive tree I purchased. For some reason, I could not find brined Mission olives anywhere locally (San Diego) so I took a chance and placed an order on Enfuso.com after reading all the positive reviews. I specifically ordered from Enfuso since they are only about 90 miles away and I figured my order would arrive in plenty of time for the event. To avoid high shipping charges for one jar of olives, I also ordered 2 tiny bottles of balsamic vinegar and one small bottle of olive oil to get to the threshold for free shipping. (see picture attached of 4 items ordered) The order was not shipped out for 3 days, and when it arrived a few days after that, the jar of olives - the WHOLE REASON I even placed the order- was missing. I texted (since they request no phone calls) and emailed Enfuso immediately, and asked that the missing jar of olives be shipped out to me asap so I would have it for the purpose intended. I was informed the olives would be mailed out that day, which they were not. (or they were mailed after 5 pm if they were). The TINY 3 oz bottles of balsamic vinegar I ordered for $9 each are a joke. There is not enough product in this $9 to dress one salad! 3 ounces = 6 tablespoons (not 7 as the owner states). The product size is listed as 100 ml, not in standard U.S. ounces, so it is a little deceiving and shocking when you see how tiny 3 oz actually is (think of a tiny little travel sized shampoo bottle). The 250 ml (8 oz) bottle of lemon olive oil for $20 is not something I would have ever purchased either if I saw the size in person. Ridiculously expensive for the amount of product, and absolutely ZERO attention paid to online orders. Go elsewhere! Update: The owner states below that I was looking at a non-USPS website for tracking info. Incorrect! See attached pic that shows usps website, and estimated delivery of 'forgotten' item was MON. May 6th, after the date I needed it. I forgot to mention there were several broken pieces of olives in the jar, and since I did not see the other half of the broken ones, it tells me they were put into the jar that way. Not attractive for a gift, especially for $20 a jar. (see pic) And lastly, the owner states I did not mention she included a 3 oz jar of a flavored vinegar as a "gift". I didn't mention it, because it was ginger flavored vinegar. Not something I would ever use, I very much dislike the strong taste of ginger. So while the "free gift" of a tiny bottle of vinegar was appreciated in theory, I would have much rather have received the items I actually paid for, and did not have to stress about receiving at a later date and possibly after the day I needed for purpose intended than a 3 ounce gift of something I will not use. The owners offer to refund the cost of the olives if they did not arrive by Sat. is not something that was appealing to me either. As I mentioned to her multiple times, the sole reason for the order was for a jar of Mission Olives for a gift, which I could not find locally. The other items, tiny 3 oz bottles of vinegar and an 8 oz bottle of lemon flavored olive oil, are readily available many places in the San Diego area, and not something I would have ordered online and paid extra premium prices for, they were an add-on so I would meet a threshold not to incur a shipping charge. If the owner of this business is "too busy juggling a lot of balls" to pay any attention to get an online order of only 4 items shipped out correctly and in a timely manner, maybe she should either hire help or not maintain a website in which to order online. read more

How lucky are we to have this beautiful local small batch business making high grade, quality olive oils and vinegars right here? I keep all of them in stock at home.I just can't explain how the flavors add to a recipe. Prep Cooking Classes/Shop in Rossmoor got me hooked on them and there's no going back. This is how authentic they are...if they cannot get quality cilantro, then they hold off on making the Cilantro infused Olive Oil. Chef Elizabeth at Prep teaches different ways to use the oils and vinegars in all kinds of recipes. I can't believe William Sonoma hasn't picked these up because they are better than anything they've ever had on their shelves. This product is amazing! I have sampled over 12 types and each and everyone is simply delicious. The quality of ingredients used in enFuso is undeniably top notch. I looooove this olive oil!!! I try to find an excuse to eat it on ANYTHING! I dip bread in it, drizzle it over eggs, drizzle it over cold cut sandwiches, drizzle it over salad, drizzle it over rice. Basically anything that will not overpower the flavor of the oil itself. I would drink it straight from the friggin bottle if that weren't disgusting. But at $18 a bottle it be too expensive to drink. enFuso is a good quality California olive oil that's nutty and earthy has a terrific smoky flavor. There are two types. Early harvest olives and late harvest olives. The late harvest is a little more mild, this is the bottle I have. The early harvest seems to be a bit more smoky. For my next bottle i plan to get the early harvest. I purchased my bottle at the OCGP (OC Great Park) Sunday farmer's market. They are not at the OCGP every weekend. According to their website they are there once a month. On a more consistent basis they are at the Orange Farmer's Market. read more

Everything this company makes is fantastic. Just one taste and I can tell they use the highest quality ingredients and that what I'm eating is nourishing. Love their Balsamic dressings. I use it on a lot of things but mostly right on my salads with some olive oil. Great alternative to dressings that are high in bad fats. This product can be used without any oil and it is still yummy and you're only taking in some natural sugars from the fruit. So many flavors to try but my fav. is the pomegranate one. The kids love the pear. Jon is also super friendly and energetic so it is a pleasure to buy this product at the local farmers market where I can chat with him. read more

The balsamics are delicious, but for me, enFuso's real treasures are their smoked olive oils, particularly the extra-smoky TURBO oil. If you love the taste of outdoor grilling, this product beats liquid smoke six ways to Sunday. I use a little when I saute onions to go with my steak for instant cookout flavor. And the enFuso folks are terrific, very customer-service oriented. Highly recommended! read more

I cannot get enough of the basalmic vinegarettes. I found them at the spice shop in corona del mar off avocado and pch. You can sample all the favors ...and get hooked. I picked up 2 mango, a pear and a strawberry. Great for salad dressing. Good enough you are tempted to just drink the bottle! read more

Excellent smoked olive oil and service! We've tried several of their smoked olive oil and other oil and they are truly worth every penny. Makes me sad thinking of all the mediocre oil we've purchased in the past in grocery stores. Their service is also terrific. As a self-proclaimed "food snob", I can sometimes be hard to please when it comes to food (no, no....it's true); especially with items like olive oil and IN PARTICULAR balsamic vinegars...a product that is notorious for being improperly labeled as "authentic" when it is usually anything but. Well, let me tell you, EnFuso is the real deal and their products are nothing short of SPECTACULAR. How they pack so much rich flavor into those beautifully labeled skinny little bottles is anyone's guess but they have surely figured it out!!! If you still don't believe me, here's additional proof for you: I purchased a gift pack for a friend of mine who is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and she went absolutely nuts over it. Need I say more? Oh yeah I do.....these amazing products are reasonably priced AND the people who work there could not have been nicer or more helpful when I placed my order. These olive oils (lemon, and basil are two of my favorites) are in a different league than what you get at the market. They make your food taste so much better!!! I use them daily and give them as gifts ( I have my extended family hooked too). The balsamic is so good! The dark is amazing on caprese salad! The white is great too! The company is small but mighty. Amazing products. And their dog treats are our dogs favorite and they are good for her! read more

If you are looking for an easy way to spice up a salad or veggies, these olive oils and balsamics are perfect. They are super yummy and made with quality ingredients. Even the plain olive oil is so delicious compared to your typical store bought olive oils. The balsamic is so thick and sweet that I just can't go back to the runny liquid stuff. I use either balsamic or olive oil at least once a day either for cooking veggies, in sauces, on eggs for breakfast or on salads. The oil and vinegar are a staple in my house. read more

Their smoked olive oil is unsurpassed! Besides being certified AVO so you know it is healthy and good for you, it is addictive to taste. I have used it for cooking, tasting, and sampling with everything for my friends and family and we all feel the same. It is by far the superior product to its competition if you haven't tried smoked olive oil. It is also less expensive which is good because I am always needing more!. Wow! The smoke infused olive oil is absolutely amazing. Tried it in a salad and on grilled fish. It's so good. We also bought a strawberry balsamic which is incredible. Mixed it with their Capay Valley olive oil and made a wonderful salad dressing. But all that said, it was their cookies that blew my mind. The snickerdoodles. Delicious! We found them at the farmer's market in Orange on Saturday mornings. If you like cooking with olive oil, I definitely recommend enFuso. read more
