Poor scheduling, service, and rude staff. December of 2022 I switched to a gynecologist who was at Englewood hospital. The physician was great and suggested the hospital for my mamo services. She also recommended that I have an ultrasound as well since I have dense breasts. Called this location and it was difficult to schedule my appointment. Arrived for my appointment time and I had to wait. Even though I had a RX for mamo/untrasound and scheduled it that way, I was told that I would have to come back later after lunch for my ultrasound. There was a woman crying in the clinical area since her test results showed something and she was being sent to another location immediately to see the specialist. This stranger was so upset about the test results and having to go to the hospital or another location. I was not happy about the rudeness of the staff and the fact that they could not do my ultrasound but was still thinking of the upset woman and thought I should get the ultrasound asap. I changed my work schedule and agreed to go back in the afternoon for my ultrasound. Fast forward, thankfully my test results were ok. My insurance company did not pay for my ultrasound since they deemed it as unnecessary. The hospital just kept sending me bills. I spent thousands of dollars out of pocket to pay for the ultrasound. The radiologist recommended continued ultrasounds and the gynecologist I went to at Englewood hospital left to go practice at a different location. I changed practices for my annual visit and this morning I went to my mamo at Valley in Mahwah. It was easy to schedule my appointment, the receptionist and technician were very nice and I was done in 20 minutes. On my way home I thought...ok I used Englewood hospital one year for my Md/mamo/ultrasound and I learned by my poor experience...even though this location is within a mile from my home, I will travel to Mahwah for my mamo services. read more

This review details my experience during a scheduled mammogram appointment this morning at the Englewood, Journal Square location.Prior to the appointment, I received at least three phone calls, the last of which was a request for permission for Englewood to obtain my previous imaging records from another center. I granted this permission, and was informed that the images could take a couple of days to be released, which would delay the review of my new exam. However, the appointment was confirmed to proceed as scheduled, having been booked a month and a half in advance.Upon arrival, I found the front desk staff to be friendly and efficient. After changing for the exam, I was attended to by a technician who provided me with additional paperwork. The technician indicated a section of the form with the word "SPANISH." As I do not speak Spanish, I filled out the paperwork in English. Despite my clear communication of this fact, the technician continued to speak to me in Spanish, which I repeatedly indicated I did not understand.During this interaction, the technician inquired whether I had brought my previous images with me. I attempted to explain that Englewood had requested these images and would be receiving them shortly, as communicated in the earlier phone call. However, the technician interrupted me, stating she would not perform the exam and instructed me to get dressed.Feeling uncomfortable and confused, I requested to speak with a manager. The technician directed me to the front desk, where I explained the situation to the manager. The manager confirmed that my understanding was correct and that the exam would indeed be performed that day. Due to my discomfort with the technician, I requested that another nurse or professional accompany me during the exam.The exams were performed, though an hour had passed since my initial appointment time. After completing the exam, I proceeded to the fitting room, where I encountered at least two other patients waiting. The same technician approached me and loudly asked, "Thielly, are you Jewish?" When I expressed my confusion, she elaborated, stating that "Jewish heritage is more prone to x, y, z."This incident raises significant concerns regarding patient privacy and professionalism at this establishment. All my private information had already been provided through online check-in and during my interactions with the staff. The blatant disregard for confidentiality and the lack of sensitivity in handling personal information are unacceptable.In summary, my experience at the Englewood, was marked by disrespectful and unprofessional behavior, as well as a significant breach of patient privacy. This facility must take immediate action to address these issues to ensure a respectful and secure environment for all patients. read more

Be advised, this outpatient looking facility in an old office building miles from the hospital will bill you and your insurance as if you went to the hospital. The reality of this and the impact on your bill is intentionally made clear to you. Your bill will easily be 2 to 3 times what it would be elsewhere. They will not provide pricing information up front and the number they provide for the info will not return your call in a timely manner, if at all. This makes it hard to compare. Unless you have insurance that doesn't cost you anything - AVOID. Given the office location and distance from the hospital and name, it is easy to be misled into thinking you are getting your services from a normal imaging location. read more

Update: my doctor tried to get results faxed to him for 5 days straight, calling every day, until finally he asked for a supervisor and told him to just read the results to him over the phone! I had to go into the office and pick it up in person! Absolutely unacceptable! Some cases can be emergency cases needing to be addressed IMMEDIATELY! SHAME ON YOU, Advanced Imaging! I scheduled an appointment for my infant daughter a week in advance. The day prior to the appointment I received a confusing phone call stating something along the lines of they couldn't perform an ultrasound on my daughter at the emerson location could i come to the englewood hospital branch? I explained that no i couldn't. The rep then said she would call me back. She never did. I called later that same day to check the status of my daughter's appointment. I explained to orlene, the operator, that i needed to know whether appointment was on or not because i had child care arranged for my son. Orlene said she didn't know why i was contacted the appointment was ok and they'd see me the following day. I showed up on time. I had to park next door because there was no parking. Wheel my stroller in. I began filing out paper work to be stopped half way through by a receptionist who said you can stop filing that out you have to go to the hospital for this scan. I then relayed the whole scenario to two more employees who were nice but in so many words told me that the call center doesn't know how to schedule appointments. Something that i believe to be lucrative for their business. They do however only seem to be in the business of wasting people's time. I will not be returning. read more

Been here twice for the same procedure. Friendly, friendly, friendly, accommodating staff that immediately put me at ease (and TRUST me, I needed that both times). I dealt with different technicians/front desk people each time, and everyone was professional, sensitive and had a smile on their face from start to finish. Extremely clean, and they recently updated the space. Hope I don't have to get that procedure done again, but if I did I'd definitely come back here! read more

Advanced Medical Imaging in Emerson, NJ is the only site I patronize for imaging procedures. The staff is great (ask for MRI Tech Jeanette!) when getting MRI's. I hate that casket-like monstrosity but the staff does try to minimize the anxiety and allay your fears as they slide you in their million dollar sarcophagus! They're the best facility in North Jersey even though I did almost shut the place down by having bobby pins in my hair during an MRI procedure, which were quickly yanked straight out of my head and spear-headed directly into the machine. The bobby pins then ping-ping-pinged uncontrollably around inside the machine like Ricochet Rabbit (those of us who remember that cartoon character) and I had about 100 of them. Soon after, the magnetic force caused my wig hairs to stand straight up on top of my head (sorta like Moe's from the 3 Stooges) and then so strong was the magnetic pull, it yanked my wig off my head because of the metallic adjustment straps in the back. The wig was then sucked into in the MRI machine, whirling around as if it was in last phase of a really fast rinse cycle! All I could do was scream. Instinctively, I stuck my hand inside the machine to retrieve the whirling wig and pins, and the Tech screamed, "Get your hand outta there!" I yelled back, "What about my hair?!!" She countered annoyingly with, "This is a million dollar machine, forget about your hair!!" And off she ran to shut the power off to save my hair and bobby pins (and, probably our lives, lol). Only in New Jersey, folks! lol Don't let this deter you -- if they're still standing after all the above, it's the ultimate place to go for all your imaging needs - Warning: remove all bobby pins, wigs and the like before entering the premises! read more
