Decent price as it requires different venting and other changes from a standard water heater. Now it is Wednesday, 50 minutes after the scheduled time. I just called Jason up and they had nothing on their calendar and no technician dispatched to my house. It's one thing to be late/get held up and give a courtesy call, but to verbally schedule something and simply not mark it down on a calendar? Yeah...I'll let someone more trustworthy work on dangerous gas appliances if they can't even figure out how calendars work.

I am so glad I had him (and Emergency Rescue Plumbing) come out to look, because he was able to help guide me to a decision regarding fixing versus repairing, and actually listened to the troubleshooting I had done so far to narrow down the issue. As part of this, Rob did such a great job explaining *everything* to me, in terms that I could easily understand. By the time he left, I knew all of the major components in a water heater, and what exactly could fail, as well as the cost for installing a new one, and the additional implications on being up to code, and how that plays into everything (like whether or not I'd have to install an expansion tank). SEVERE CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING AFTER WORK FROM THIS COMPANY. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE…read moreYOUR LIFE. Louis performed a heater inspection and cleared the heater for use. We then proceeded to get carbon monoxide poisoning the first night in the home (confusion, nausea, headaches, chest pain, severe drowsiness). Gas Emergency crew from Excel inspected the heater, placed a hazard tag on it, and told us the carbon monoxide were at lethal levels and shut off our gas. When we contacted Louis to fix his mistake, he was extremely rude, raised his voice at us, and told us he would "try" to come fix the issue when he had a chance (mind you we had no heat in the middle of winter). When he arrived, 20 hours after we called him, he reportedly "fixed it". As we did not trust him, we had Excel come check the heater again. They placed a yellow tag on it, stating that we could have a potentially lethal leak at any moment and that the workmanship was the worst they had ever seen. Louis is a dangerous person to allow to enter your home or business. His workmanship puts people's lives at risk and greatly damaged our own health.

I was having a problem with too much pressure in my water lines which was causing a screeching…read morenoise whenever water was turned on. I called another company for an estimate, and when they came in and diagnosed the problem they said I needed a water pressure relief valve and a thermal expansion tank. They quoted me a ridiculous price and I sent them on their merry way. I called a friend of mine and asked if he had any recommendations and he referred to Louis at One Stop Plumbing and Drains. I gave him a call and I must say that's one of the best decisions I've ever made when it comes to a plumber. Louis showed up and went through the process of diagnosing the problem and came up with the same as the previous plumber. He quoted me a very reasonable price and I authorized the work. He installed the thermal relief tank and water pressure relief valve in less than two hours and there was not one drip of water anywhere. He also realized that my water heater cold line was connected to the hot water side on the tank. He unconnected it and moved it to the correct side and turned the water heater around and did it at no cost. He was very professional and pleasant in conversation even though we both had masks on. Really, really, really happy with these guys…read more I got an astronomical quote from another plumbing cont actor (also in my reviews), then got a recommendation to these guys from our neighbor, who is friends with someone whose dad works here. Instead of paying the $1350-$1500 (plus maybe some electrical work) quoted by the other company, Cady Plumbing (I don't know the fellow's name, my boyfriend handled it) immediately started helping us work out the issue on the phone. I mean - free advice? So they don't have to actually come out? Meaning they won't get paid? I've never HEARD of such a thing from a plumber! After some testing they determined that it was a simple problem which took about 2 hours and a small replacement part to fix, to totalling $250 or so. We were incredibly happy to find a quality & qualified plumber that's wasn't looking to screw us because we don't know any better. Now I've got a good plumber on call, and I couldn't be happier about it. Definitely consider giving these guys a chance when the time comes for you to fix annoying plumbing issues. The price is right, the people are nice, and best of all they are honest and do quality work. Thumbs up all around.
