My boyfriend and I went on a Carnival Radiance cruise a few weeks ago and wanted to do something fun in Ensenada. The excursions provided from the cruise didn't really interest us (not to mention they were very expensive) so I took it upon myself to find something to do for the day. Our tour guide Guillermo picked us up by our cruise's dock and took us to the tour. It was so fun and made our trip one to remember! He was so friendly and gave us great information about the town and culture. We went zip lining and quad riding. He took great pictures of us doing both activities, I was so thankful for this! Oscar admitted that his English was weak so he used a translator app which worked well. Oscar took many pictures so that we will have momentos. Oscar took us to the very best fish taco location in the city. Oscar spoke of the safety of Ensenada and felt that the USA misportrayes the level of safety. Kayaking had to get scrapped due to weather be we were offered zip lining or any Ithaca activity we felt up to but who knew atv riding would have us so tired! Booked via Viator for the combo horseback riding by the beach and La Bufadora. Payment and communication were smooth. We arrived via Carnival Radiance cruise ship and was met with a welcome sign at the meeting point (a little over 5 minute walk). I travelled with hubby and 2 kids ages 15 and 9. It was the first time for our family to ride a horse and I was so scared and tensed the first few minutes (hubby and kids were laughing at me) but so happy i did it (and i survived)! The horse ride by the beach was so relaxing wished we could have spent more time on the beach... one hour went by so fast! There were 2 kids guiding our horses and the one who took our picture did a great job! I told my kids I risked my life for the perfect family picture LOL La Bufadora is what I expected as per my social media search but still a good experience. The flea market vendors offer their goods but don't force you to buy so it's okay. Oscar our driver talks nonstop and tried his best to converse in english and use the voice translator... my son thinks he is funny which is good... my husband was practicising his spanish lol You can tell that Oscar is proud of his hometown, loves his job and sincerely wanted our family to have a great time. It felt like we're saying goodbye to him as a family. They were building concrete roads during our visit so traffic back to downtown is heavy but Oscar knew a shortcut which made the ride even more fun and saved us 45 minutes on traffic. Overall a great experience, loved the private car and having the freedom to take our own time. Felt safe the whole time. Highly recommended! read more

We had a great experience!! The driver was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. The surf instructor was awesome and encouraged our first time surfing kids a lot. It was so much better to book this private tour than go with what the cruise ship had to offer. So much more attention to detail. The rest of us who were watching the kids surf were provided with chairs, umbrella, snacks and water. The trip to La bufadora was a long way and winds on hill tops but the driver drove very well. Only issue we had was with the lunch that was recommended at La bufadora. It was ok (for us vegetarians) but the charges were just over the top. Paid $160 for 6 of us with some of the dishes just being a single cheese quesadilla. We understand that it's a tourist spot and that was the only minor concern we had. read more

This was my first time booking with this company and i loved it. My driver Oscar did an outstanding job. Amazing hospitality, we learned a lot about the city and got to our destination. We did zip-lining, horseback riding and a trip to the La Bufadora. 2nd time using this company and they are fantastic and I highly recommend. The city tour was pretty cool. The driver, William/Guillermo, was fantastic and answered all of our questions. The kids enjoyed the jail and attached museum. Our driver took us to a little tent on the side of the street for fish tacos and I can't even begin to tell you how good they were. My little kids who "don't like fish or tacos" still complain at me that they didn't get enough. I typically think that horchata is "meh" and wouldn't pay money for it but the horchata at this place was fire and I would pay money for it anytime. read more

Like some of the other reviewers, we chose Ensenada Excursions because we were arriving on a cruise ship (Emerald Princess), and wanted a company who prides itself on working with cruise ship passengers. Our group of 4 had a wonderful time on our wine-tasting tour through Valle de Guadalupe. Jesse and Ena were very professional in helping me book the reservation and explaining our options. The day prior, they emailed confirmation and clear instructions where to meet our tour guide. It was a short 5-10min walk from the ship and Oscar was waiting at a tour building with a professional sign with our name. Oscar was a fantastic guide, professional, knowledgeable, funny, and focused on making sure we had a great time. We were scheduled to visit a historic winery, Calla Viejo, but found it was closed at the last minute. Ena quickly arranged for us to visit a Restaurant/Liqueria (Don Victor Manuel) instead. And the liqueur-tastings there were fantastic! Wines/liqueurs are very reasonably priced in Valle de Guadalupe. Oscar had us back in town near the ship right on schedule. Very trustworthy. Very safe. Our family of four (kids 8 and 10) did the Zipline + Horseback Riding + La Bufadora excursion with Ensanada Excursions and Tours and had a blast. Our driver Tomas was punctual and waiting for us at the designated spot. Everything felt very safe. Our kids enjoyed the zipline very much but were a bit disappointed they missed the height requirement (55" if I recall correctly) for doing three of the five bridges on the activity. We loved exploring Ensenada with our tour guide Oscar. We booked a cruise through Royal Caribbean to celebrate two birthdays. We were disappointed that most of the exhilarating excursions through the cruise line had weight limits that prevented some of the members in our group from participating in the fun. Ensenada Excursions and Tours had some great reviews, so we emailed and texted Jesse to see what were the best options for our group. He responded quickly and even agreed to join our group chat to answer questions directly. We opted for the combo ATV and blow hole tour. Because we had a group of 4 or more, we saved over $200 with Ensenada Excursions and Tours as opposed to the cruise ship. We were also able to do more than one excursion in Mexico. One week later, no surprise charges on my card. This is a very trusted company. The quote they gave us is the exact amount we paid. Zero discrepancies. Oscar was such a joy. We learned so much about Ensenada and other parts of Mexico. He knows the city very well, so he gave us well-informed answers, and there was never a dull moment during our ride around the city. The pick up and drop off were timely. In addition to being our tour guide, Oscar was our photographer and videographer (we're so thankful). We booked a package that included ATVs, Horseback riding and massages for 3 adults and 1 teenager. We were picked up outside the cruise terminal by our tour guide Pedro and had an awesome sign with my name on it. After about a 30-40 minute ride, we got to the ATV location which is Las Canadas, an awesome huge summer time camp area I would love to visit one day in the summer. The hour-long ATV ride went through the hills around the camp and we got to the top of the hills providing a great view of the surrounding area. The vibration from the ride hurt my hands while I was riding but it's to be expected when riding ATVs. Our ATV guide made sure no one in the group was left behind and there was a guide at the end of the group as well. We then drove another 20-30 minutes to the horseback riding location. I made the mistake of letting go of the reigns and the horse took off on me but I was able to reach down to grab the reigns and he stopped immediately. The views on the beach were awesome! We had a little delay at the ATVs (our fault trying to check on other vehicle options available) so Pedro got our massages rescheduled. From horseback riding, we went downtown and did a little shopping with a pharmacy stop and then went to the massages. And guess who met us there!? Jesse, the owner of the tour company. He took us up to the massage room and got us all set up for our massages, asking if there were areas we wanted to concentrate on. The massages were great and we made it back to the ship on time. My family and I went on the Carnival Cruise-Radiance July 1-4 & out of the 38...12 of us wanted to do an ATV excursion, but only 3 of us were able to purchase tix onboard. I saw numerous post regarding Ensenada Excursions and Tours-specifically mentioning this guy: Arturo, so I looked him up. After reviewing so many great comments, the 3 of us who booked w/Carnival cancelled our ATV excursion ($95 w/wine tasting) & booked w/Arturo so that the other 9 could go as a group! This tour was my/our 1st excursion and I must say it was BEYOND what we expected & so much fun. From the beginning of me inquiring about the tour, rates, packages and pick up location, Arturo was very responsive, kind, personable, informative and funny as all get up! He provided transportation in a very nice AC van and was our personal driver. We opted for the ATV riding and the Flea Mkt tour with free Tequila tasting. (We will skip the Flea Mkt next time & select another adventure or ATV longer ). We were so excited that most of us just took off and went on our way (NOTE: Stick together because as u set off on trails, some take u up higher & higher so stick to a group of at least 2+ because one of the bikes kept stalling and one person had to go get help, but that allowed for another person to stay w/ the stalled person AND A couple of us fell off and needed help, so stick to a group or @ least 2+). NOTE: staff was on it in seconds if u did get stalled, hurt or just needed assistance!! Thanks for being on top of it I also want to thank the guys at the camp ground where our excursion took place because they made sure all 12 ATVs were working and ready for us upon arrival (we were able to skip the long line by booking w/Arturo ) they fitted us for helmets (NOTE: No Goggles or Bandanas offered...so bring ur own! Ur eyes will thank u later ), they gave us specific instructions (Since it was 4th of July, no ATV Tour Guide was available to go with us, so we were off on our own-which allowed freedom to select ur tracks). Do NOT forget to bring ur CDL/license!!! The camp grounds had families camping and they have 5-pools & a beech, it was beautiful!! They also had an Ambulance stationary for those who need emergency assistance (Thanks for taking care of my /friend's wounds). Don't forget to get to a safe place on the trail (Top of the mountain or off to the side or before u take off) to take pics!! We were so excited we forgot because we all took off in different directions. I was able to get some ! All in all if you don't want to be over charged for the Cruise rates for excursions, check out Arturo Godinez with Ensenada Excursions and Tours! Most amazing excursion we've ever taken, and we've taken many. Pai Pai is a gem and if you've ever wanted to hold or feed a big cat or baby cat Pai Pai is the place. The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. The young people that work there love and care these animals and make sure their well being is number 1. We fed an adult white lion and orange tiger. We played with and fed three white lion cubs, two leopard cubs, and a black jaguar cub. We fed monkeys as the crawled on us and took food from a dish we held. In addition they have many farm animals you can interact with. It very sanitary and Before and after each encounter you are disinfected to protect the animals. Visiting Pai Pai through Ensenada Excursion was quick and easy. The owner greeted us off the ship, introduced us to our driver Jose and away we went in a clean comfortable car. We were so excited for our excursion to a hotel beach with pools and restaurant. When we arrived, we were told the hotel pool was not available to us, so my mom had to walk with someone else and PAY MORE for day passes for us just to use the pool. The pool is fine but the "Beach" is a tiny strip of sand, maybe 15 ft long. As we tried to go to the beach we paid to go to, police were there, and someone had tragically drowned. The beach was off limits. This company is a scam. The driver was also pushing constantly for extra tips. It was a horrible day. No, Ensenada Excursions, we were not taken to another beach. read more
