He had a cooler of wine ready for us (3 bottles of white) and cups poured as we entered the van. Jesse (the driver) was really nice, helpful, and informative. He drove safely (no car sickness!) and got to us to the wineries without a hitch. We toured 4 wineries total, and could choose which ones we wanted, when we wanted to go. It was very flexible to our plans. We even added an extra 2 people and they booked an extra car just to accommodate us. My friend even forgot her purse in the car and he drove it back to us the next morning. RANDY WAS AMAZING! CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY ENOUGH! I first tried booking a tour with Randy back in January of 2018. Due to a change in plans, I was unable to make my original dates. Randy was incredibly accommodating and when I contacted him nine months later, he had no problem letting apply my original deposit. On the day of the tour, Randy himself showed up as our driver. Our place was a little difficult to find, but he was there twenty minutes early with a bottle of wine for our drive out to the wineries. We chose the Bliss Valley package. We loved all three of the wineries that Randy selected for us. It was the perfect mix of small, boutique locations that gave amazing service, and large, well established wineries with beautiful grounds. On top of that, Randy does a great job of reading the group. He's very knowledgeable about the area and is happy to share about the history, but when we just wanted to hang with our group, he would sit off to the side and let us have our own time. That being said, we were almost always conversing with him, as he's a very fun and funny person whom we loved spending time with. To top it off, Randy accommodated our every need to include changes to our itinerary like ending the day at Puerto Nuevo for lobster. After dropping us off for dinner, he even came back to pick us up and drive us back to our AirBnB thirty minutes away for no additional cost. Randy was an awesome guide and the wine tour was absolutely amazing. He had all sorts of great local information and helped us see many places we wouldn't have otherwise. We started with a nice drive and a bottle of wine and then went to the first two wineries. They were both wonderful, the first being a smaller one with unique wines and the second one being a large one with beautiful grounds. After this we had the best fish tacos I've ever had at the recommendation of Randy and then finished off at a medium sized winery with an awesome chocolate wine. I recommend going on a week day if you want a chiller vibe as we heard that it gets very busy during the weekends. I made the mistake of thinking our crew would be able to use Uber to easily get around to all the vineyards we wanted to hit on our trip to Valle de Guadalupe. I was wrong. I ended up driving and missing most of the fun on the first day. I came across a Baja Luxury Wine Tour driver in the parking lot at CuatroCuatros and begged for his assistance. I told him my story, he took my number and told me he'd reach out via Whatsapp shortly. I was asking a lot... I emailed Randy late in the day and asked if he had availability for the following morning. He emailed me back in 5 minutes and then called me to confirm for 10 AM the next morning. Four of us jumped in his suburban. He had wine for us to drink on the way and we really enjoyed the ride through the valley. Great sightseeing and very relaxing. It may be a bit spendy for Mexico, but we didn't have to worry about getting lost, Randy translated when needed, we always felt safe, and had a good freaking time. We stopped at 4 wineries and got to mix with the locals (not many tourists). We were wine tasting at one rustic winery and chickens were walking around - what an authentic experience. Look the Valle de Guadalupe is not Napa (and you shouldn't want it to be) so set your expectations and enjoy the wine and the people. read more

Randy/Baja Wine Tours is legitimately the BEST. I was planning a bachelorette trip for 8 girls and needed someone within the week to drive all 8 of us to the Valle de Guadalupe. Randy was very communicative and informative before the trip began. He was prompt- (early even!) in showing up to pick us up from our Airbnb. After getting scammed by another wine tour business (I'm 99% sure I got ripped off of my deposit by Valley Girl Wine Tours who failed to answer my emails and calls after booking a tour. She never contacted me again.), I had to find another tour company about a week before our vacation date to Valle de Guadalupe. I decided to go with Baja Luxury Wine Tours. I emailed Randy, and within hours, my questions were all answered, date for the tour was confirmed and deposit paid for. Boom. I appreciate prompt and professional service, and Randy came through. Our driver, Jesse, also provided prompt and professional service. Jesse was especially patient with us when we had a problem with an ATM machine that charged us for a transaction but didn't dispense any money. He helped us make some calls to report the problem. As for the tour, Jesse did take us to four very different wineries, and he took care of all the tickets for us. It was so nice that he also gave us the option to see other wineries and to extend our time. He was friendly, very courteous and patient (he waited for us while we had a lovely lunch at Finca Altozano which was a fabulous recommendation made by Randy). We had the best time on our tour!! I can't say enough good things about this tour company. We were picked up right on time from our hotel in a freshly clean, comfortable suburban. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and provided with air conditioning, a phone charger and full control of the radio ! The driver was professional and spoke perfect English. He gave us the option of going one of two different routes. one would take us by the water and the other would take us through the valley. We chose the valley and it did not disappoint! We arrived in proximately 45 minutes. Throughout the tour, our driver pointed out several points of interest and interesting historic facts. Our first stop was to a small cute family owned winery. We were greeted with open arms. We didn't eat here but the food looked delicious! There was not an empty table in the place! Our second Winery was el chielo. This is one of the bigger, most popular. Again a beautiful place with a gorgeous background for pictures. Our driver immediately took care of our entrance fee and tasting tickets. The wine did not disappoint! The next wine room was super unique and charming. They have the most amazing honey wine-- a must try!!! This place has jams, cheeses, breads, food and drinks. My husband order a super chicken nacho for $2.50!!!!!! The last place was another unique charming place. This one specialized in dessert wines. We were each greeted with a cheese tray and 4 tasters. They also have food and several local vendors selling souvenirs. I can't say enough amazing things about this outing. We were treated like celebrities everywhere. It was obvious people in the community liked our driver and he had worked hard to build strong relationships. Before booking, we thought about driving our own car. I am so happy we didn't! This allowed everyone to enjoy themselves with beverages. Once you get to the valley you have to understand it has expanded so much, there are hundreds of wineries, if you don't know where to go, you are in trouble! This was the best use of time and money spent! Super honest company! We left a bottle of wine, a hat and jacket in the car. The owner is in the process of returning! Our driver, Jesús, was an absolute angel. We had a group of eight girls and he kept track of us and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and having a blast! Beware for Baja Luxury Wine Tours FAKE REVIEWS! ...Last week I was contacted by another Valle de Guadalupe wine tour outfit after I posted my review in Yelp & Trip Advisor. They told me that "some" wine tour companies in that area are notorious for planting fake reviews so that is why they seem so credible. Now reading back, I can see the "too good" reviews that focus on so many of the negative things I say in my review. The reviews are loaded with praise about the people, the car, full control of the radio, etc. It seems that someone might be trying to bury my bad review with a bunch of incredibly positive reviews. The average consumer rarely takes the time to tell you all of the multitude of things that these reviewers seem to write about. Also, 3 reviews written the same day that I wrote mine? Coincidence? I contacted Randy two weeks prior to our wine tour for my wife's 40th Birthday Party. He responded to all of my questions and concerns prior to the event. We paid a 50% deposit via paypal and the rest in cash on the day of the event. The van was there ready to pick us up as soon as we walked across the border in Tijuana. The tour included round trip transportation, tastings at 3 wineries, and a lunch. The vehicle had a cooler with wine and water. The vans could hold up to 12 people...there were 9 of us in our group so it was spacious and comfortable. The vehicle was clean and safe. The driver was very accommodating and stopped at a store so we could also pick up beer (for the non wine drinkers) and light snacks. We also wanted to stop at a local taco shop in the wine country for authentic Mexican food. The driver helped translate and ordered for us. After visiting the 3 wineries that were included, we were able to make two other stops to taste more wine. The company and driver are very flexible and will took us wherever we wanted to go within our 8 hour time frame. I will definitely be booking another tour in the future with Randy and this company. read more
