We are appalled that she never bothered to contact my husband regarding the results of his lab test results. Not a call, not a text, NOTHING! At times texts are fine to answer many questions, however when a patient requests a call to speak to the doctor directly, not by text and she never responds, it is unacceptable. Even after speaking directly to the office staff regarding a call back and told two days in a row that the doctor would call us back that NEVER happened. We just got another useless text. If Dr. Amy Schettino does not want to take the time to have a short conversation with a patient on occasion, and will only respond with a text she should not be practicing medicine on patients. We did not receive the medication prescribed in the form that was discussed in her office. She asked how we preferred it administered and confirmed this in a clear discussion at the end of our appointment. We called the office and spoke to an assistant who kept blaming us for not understanding what form of the medication was ordered. We understood EXACTLY what form of medication was discussed. It was not the first time my husband used this medication. Take responsibility for your mistakes! The medication was ordered in a different form than the first time we used it which caused confusion resulting in delayed administration of the medication. This caused my husband to be in pain and severe discomfort longer than necessary. Specific messages were left regarding this issue requesting a phone call from the doctor to discuss it. A call was never received. We also called asking if one part of the lab results were back and were told they would let us know the next day regarding that particular part of the results. We never heard back regarding the result we asked about with a call or a text. We understood there was a different culture that would take several weeks. As stated, we never received a call about any of the results to discuss what further measures should be taken. We went to the portal several weeks later to review the lab results that we were informed would be available after several weeks. Dr. Amy Schettino did not have the decency to get in touch with us regarding the results and to discuss them. This is despicable. What respectable physician ignores their patients lab results and never calls to discuss them. I come from a family of many physicians and if they treated their patients the way Dr. Amy Schettino treated us, they would not have a practice. We had to request the medical records four times in ten days without them being sent to our primary care physician. If you do not have the respect for a patient that needs to speak to you on occasion you should not be practicing medicine. It takes more than some medical knowledge to be a good doctor. It takes communication with your patients in a timely and considerate manner. That means a short conversation on occasion. You are required to follow up on your patients lab results in a reasonable timeframe. We also learned that his symptoms could be other issues that she never addressed in her diagnosis or from his lab results. We requested my husbands records and proceeded with another capable, caring and responsive ENT physician at a different practice. Our new physician discussed in detail with us my husbands results and what was causing his symptoms. Now that I have researched many of your reviews I wish I had read them before we visited your office. We never would have trusted you with his healthcare. The reviews we read are not the only negative feedback we have heard regarding care received by Dr. Amy Schettino.

I thought it was ear wax, but she told me differently. She prescribed Amoxicillin and Neomycin and the 7 days I took it I felt so ill. My body wasn't taking the antibiotics well. Fast forward to this week, I wanted a professional evaluation and went to go see Dr.Kim. The office staff were very welcoming and kind. Dr.Kim and the other nurses listened to my words. When Dr.Kim looked into my ear she said there was fluid and wax in there. She suctioned my ear up and a few minutes later I am HEARING AGAIN out of my left ear!!!! I was so happy with joy I thought I was going to cry. Almost. Dr.Kim is awesome and so very kind. I am so happy right now that she fixed my problem. As for the pills, I was taking them for no reason thanks to the other doctor at Piedmont Urgent Care. I am happy right now so I don't even care about it anymore. I have seen Dr. Jenny Kim twice and find her to be an excellent and knowledgable Otolaryngologist…read more I was able to book an appointment to see her the next day after calling her office the previous day. She is absolutely kind, knowledgable, caring, helpful, and does a very excellent job of treating all of her patients. I came to her with severe nasal congestion and nasal drainage. She examined the inside of my nose on my very visitation with her as well as ask me if I had any sinus pressure, ear pain, or headaches. I told her that I did not, and she explained to me that I did have a sinus infection on my first visit. So, she prescribed me a strong antibiotic and a nasal spray. I have taken all of the antibiotic that she has prescribed me as well as used the nasal spray and it helped a whole lot. I started to have relief just after two days. When I went back to her for a follow up visit, she inserted her nasal light up inside of my nose and then irrigated (suctioned) each one of my own sinus cavities. She also sprayed the inside of my nose and then to a sample culture for testing. She called me back Friday afternoon with the results and told me exactly what kind of bacterial sinus infection that I had and to inform me to take the remaining antibiotics. I have done just that. When she suctioned and irrigated both of my nasal cavities, I had a lot more immediate relief. I have also continued to take nasal spray afterwards as she advised and recommended. It has been close to a whole week and today I am 100% better and free from my own sinus infection and it is all because of Dr. Jenny Kim. She has sped up and shortened the duration my suffering. Dr. Kim has never rushed through any of my own appointments and visits with her at all. She has always taken plenty of time with treating and not rushing at all. Dr. Kim truly is an excellent, knowledgable, and wonderful Otolaryngologist with a true passion and a true love for the kind of medicine that she practices. She also treats all of her patients extremely well and with lots of care. I absolutely do highly recommend her. She is simply the best!

I'm resistant to certain antibiotics so it wasn't out of the picture to have the infection not be cleared. Previous to my ear infection's onset, I had a sore throat as one does with an ear infection, so that is why I came to this doctor's office thinking the infection may be coming back. I was prescribed by an urgent care 2 separate antibiotics for the ear infection, and this doctor tried to tell me that the urgent care lied about my ear infection and that they diagnosed that as the only way to rationalize my ear pain since they weren't specialized in ENT. He kept asking if the urgent care showed me the inside of my ear to prove the ear infection was present, and the obvious answer was no because an urgent care doesn't have that type of equipment. So the doctor's logic was that the urgent care physicians lied to rationalize my pain. We looked in my ears and they were relatively clean (for the obvious reason that I had finished 10 days worth of 2 antibiotics only 3 days prior) and told me that my sore throat was from clenching my teeth. Clenching teeth causes a "disrupted pressure system in my Eustachian tube" according to him. While that may or may not be true, it's obvious that some sort of infection or bacteria has plagued my ear for the last 2.5 weeks and this doctor is blaming it on teeth clenching..........
