I came in as a referral from my primary care after 5 months of being told I had a sinus infection and inability to hear properly or taste / smell at all. Dr Goldberg's staff had me try a special nose spray for a month and then I was scheduled for surgery to address polyps and a deviated septum. My surgery took several more hours than expected. Dr. Goldberg is a kind, caring, and a patient surgeon. I recently had five sinus procedures done at one time in his office. It was nearly two hours of his skilled work. He did everything he could to make me comfortable. When I started to feel any pain, he would stop immediately, provide more numbing spray or shots, wait until I was ready, and then continue with the procedures. You may not appreciate this unless you have ever been to an ENT that does not care, as I have in the past for sinus problems. I expected to have some external bruising from the procedure, but there was not any. As for pain after the procedure, I only took the pain prescription one time, as a precaution, after the procedure. I thought there would be pain after the numbing agents wore off but there was very little. As a side not, I was coughing all the time. Before he would consider working on my sinuses, he required me to see a pulmonologist to be sure my problem wasn't caused by asthma. It was not asthma so he agreed to work on my problem. Another sign, to me, he cares about his patients. Bottom line, I highly recommend Dr. Goldberg for sinus procedures. read more

I had a "run-in" with my dogs head and she ended up damaging my nose. My nose was crooked and had some deviation. I currently live in South Carolina but born and raised in Atlanta, so I had heard good things about Dr. Goldberg and was referred to him. Because I was coming from out of town he worked around my schedule, to which I was very grateful and, that says a lot about the care he has for his patients and passion for what he does. Right away he could see that my nose was crooked and gave me suggestions of what to do moving forward. He did not pressure me to get any out patient work done. I wasn't going to do the surgery until he showed me that breathing on the crooked side was a huge difference of that on the other side. I'm so glad he was able to help me understand that it might be more serious than I think. Very intelligent doctor. I elected the surgery. He did such a wonderful job putting me at ease he has a very warm and comforting personality. Also he is a plastic surgeon so that made me feel very comfortable. Healing time was just a few days, and I had zero bruising. I thought for sure I would have black eyes or something. Once the splint was off I was completely back to normal, I can actually breathe through my nose better than before! I would highly recommend Dr. Goldberg and plan to use him as my regular ENT he is totally worth the drive from South Carolina. read more

My 5 year old daughter has had issues with her ears ever since she was a baby. She used to get ear infections constantly, until she got tubes placed at 20 months old by another ENT. Since getting the tubes, her ears got much better, but she still would get the occasional ear infection. I'd taken her to her pediatrician for a suspected ear infection, and sure enough, she had one. She was given a 10 day course of antibiotics, but when the medicine was gone, my daughter was still not feeling better. I called her pediatrician to get another appointment, but they were booked solid. I then called the ENT practice who did her tubes surgery and they could not see her either. On the recommendation of a family member, I called Dr. Goldberg's office, and they were able to work us in that afternoon. Dr. Goldberg was so kind and gentle with my daughter (who absolutely hates having her ears checked!), and even though we were a last minute appointment, I never felt rushed or dismissed. The office staff were all very nice and so sweet to my daughter, who got a lollipop and a sticker from them for being a good patient, which made her day! We were given a prescription for a much stronger antibiotic, and my daughter was feeling much better after just 2 days. I am very thankful to Dr. Goldberg and his office staff for being able to see us, and I highly recommend this practice to anyone needing to see an ENT. read more

I went to this hack because I had residual symptoms from a sinus infection. I was dizzy and off balance for 3 weeks, yet this quack of a "doctor" told me it was all in my head and that nothing was wrong with me. I assure you I am a very sane individual that avoids doctors whenever possible. This guy is truly not worth your time and was not worthy of my $45 co-pay. After successful surgery to remove a benign parathyroid adenoma, I can't say enough positive about the care I received from Dr. Goldberg and his staff. Leading up to surgery, I visited the office in Suwanee three times and post surgery, I visited once. I never waited more than five (5) minutes after my appointment time to be called into the exam room, and never waited more than another five (5) minutes for Dr. Goldberg to see me. As doctor visits go, those wait times are minimal. His staff was always professional and upbeat. Dr. Goldberg inspired confidence, treated me professionally and compassionately throughout this experience, and was very cordial with my wife at the hospital while I recovered after the surgery. If I or any of my family need ENT services in the future, I won't hesitate to ask Dr. Goldberg to provide that care. read more

I would have given Dr. Goldberg and his staff five stars if not for one thing that I'll discuss later. First, I would like to say that Dr. Goldberg fixed a tough problem for me so in that way I am grateful. He and his staff were friendly and helpful. My problem came when I got the bill. I visited twice and each time they looked in my nose with a lighted scope. No big deal, but this scope must have cost them a chunk because they charged me $400 each time and then labeled it as "surgery." I don't know what the medical definition of surgery is, but most people wouldn't consider looking in their nose with a lighted scope surgery. Even after my insurance I was left with a hefty bill that was beyond what was right. I won't be back. I don't mind paying resonable fees and expenses but this is bordering on wrong. I'm sure Dr. Goldberg is trying to pay for the expensive equipment or the expensive John's Creek office, but gouging potentially loyal customers isn't the way to do it. It's sad because I really liked the folks in this office. Before you let them do anything to you or your child ask about hidden and excessive fees. read more

Tried to schedule an appt. and was asked to come in and fill out paperwork as I was nearby. Spent 30 minutes filling out "new" paperwork even though I was an existing patient. Next time I went to schedule an appt was told I had no paperwork on file and needed to fill it out again. I refused and reminded them of the time I had come in just for that. Was told I couldn't see doctor until I re-did it. I refused and asked to speak to doctor. Was told,"We don't allow people to speak to the doctor". Hmmm, wonder why. I can vouch and say I liked the PA Leah whenever she treated me, but to deal with office people who a) never apologized and b) wouldn't accept responsibility....yeah I can do better. You may not need my business but plenty of options across the street from you. read more

My son and husband have been patients of Dr. Goldberg's for several years and I've never needed his services, as I've been generally healthy in the ENT area. However, severe ear issues brought me to the ER over the weekend and after helping my symptoms to some degree, they ER doc referred me to an ENT. I called this morning to try to see Dr. Goldberg and was told I would have to wait almost a month for an appointment because I am a "new patient." Never mind that the rest of my family sees him. Needless to say, they will not be seeing him anymore. I wasn't overly impressed with his practice to begin with and now I'm completely unimpressed. read more

I have had two excellent experiences with Dr. Goldberg and his office. My 2 year-old daughter needed tubes and our pediatrician recommended him. I was familiar with him already because my sister-in-law spoke very highly about him after a sinus surgery he did for her last year. For our tube appointments, we got right into the office he thoroughly discussed the procedure and treated my toddler very well. His surgery scheduler was very accommodating with my family's work schedule and made a convenient appointment. The day of the surgery, Dr. Goldberg again spoke with my wife and me about the procedure and also talked to my daughter, so she wasn't scared at all. The surgery was very quick and he afterwards he spent time with us again letting us know all went well. My daughter has had no problems with her ears since then and when we drive past his office she smiles and says "Doctor Goldberg Doctor Office!" Shortly after my daughter's tube surgery, I had UPPP surgery for my sleep apnea. I had heard horror stories about this surgery and the painful recovery. But, Dr. Goldberg spoke with me professionally about my options in a way that was very easy to understand. He again worked around my schedule and performed the surgery during Winter Break (I'm a teacher). The surgery went very well and I went home that day to recover. He called me on the phone over the weekend to check on me -- I was surprised as I had never had a doctor do that before. I took the pain meds for the first few days, but didn't finish them. I was drinking liquids and shakes that evening and stayed with shakes and Ensures and broth for a couple days. But, by the end of the first week, I was moving about normally (not vigorously or exercising, but normally) and eating bread, cooked vegetables, and other soft foods. As soon as a I had my follow up appointment the second week, I began eating normally -- steak, chips, etc. I was back teaching full-time as soon as break was over and have had no issues since then. I do not snore anymore and I (and my wife) get a better night sleep. I realize not everyone has such a great experience, but this went much better than online forums I had read and painful experiences I had heard about. My only regret is that I didn't have it done 10 years ago. I never had any excessive wait times for any appointments or surgeries, his staff has always been polite and accommodating, and he has always answered all questions I had. read more

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Goldberg and his staff. My 4 year old daughter had a pretty rare ear condition and Dr. Goldberg did a fantastic job at explaining the issue and the suggested procedure in a very easy to understand and truthful manner. Although I was apprehensive about my daughter undergoing surgery, he was very patient and reassuring to both me and my husband and made my daughter who is usually nervous around doctors very comfortable. The day of the surgery, Dr. Goldberg made every effort to conduct the surgery as early as possible and he still continued to answer all of our questions up until the time of surgery. After her procedure, as worried parents we had questions and concerns and he made sure to answer all of our questions even calling us back after hours. He definitely went above and beyond to make sure my daughter had the best care possible he even met with us after hours to make sure our daughter was doing well and to go over her recovery procedures and I couldn't believe he called us in the morning again to check in to see how our daughter was doing. As two concerned parents he was great at reassuring us and making us feel comfortable and I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a great ENT in the Atlanta area. read more
