This comment has to do with Service Administration: On my first experience, I took my used (new to…read moreme) VW in to get a 2nd key fob made. I paid for the part, and scheduled the appointment to have the new key programmed, which was a drop-off appointment. I returned to pick up the car, new key and went home. The next day I am surprised the key won't start the car and wondered if they even tested it to ensure it was programmed. I had to go back a 2nd time to get it done right. Communicating with Service does not go smoothly. When you call the service number you select "VW" from a long list of other car brands, to seemingly get directed to the right department of the VW dealership. It is nice to know they work on other makes of cars, but it's weird and seems VW is not the featured priority of the dealership. Recently I went on Suntrup's website to check out new tires. The VW "Tire Center" on their website advertises special deals by particular tire brands for limited time periods. I wanted to verify the exact price for 4 new tires. I left messages twice and got no call back. However, since the Tire Center portal allows you to select the specific tires and deals, and order them on credit card (which won't be charged until after installation), I went ahead. The Tire Center also let me schedule an installation appointment (date, time, specific dealership name and location). A few days later, I called Suntrup to verify all of this as I had a question about the total amount. The Suntrup rep told me she didn't see any appointment. After explaining, I was told no - that is not at all how it works! I would need to call Suntrup first, check stock and order the specific tires, then schedule an appointment. (I get it, but would someone please answer the phone or call me back?) I was also told I needed to bring in the "Competitor's Coupon" for a price match. What competitor would be advertising on a licensed Volkswagen dealerships's own website? Suntrup could not try any harder to not earn my business or trust.
