DO NOT GO HERE!!! This place is run by 1 person who clearly hates there job and has 6 cars for 90 reservations and has no plan to call and tell anyone they aren't getting a car, rather wait for them to come allllll the way there and then say they don't have one. The cars aren't getting cleaned or inspected when dropped off and picked up so you could get charged for any random damage to the car. Also she had no intention of trying to help and basically told us to get lost. I will be reporting to BBB! read more

PLEASE......If you want to avoid a nightmare, do not rent from this location!! I have an escalated complaint against them with the regional manager. The bodyshop I had my car in said that everyone is having issues with this branch. The staff (most notably the branch manager) are about as rude and lacking in customer service as any group I had the displeasure of working with. They do shady moves with their billing, the first vehicle they gave me had faulty brakes which almost got me into an accident. Got into the second vehicle and it would shake like the space shuttle taking off! Please Please Please avoid Enterprise...but if you must go Enterprise--DO NOT RENT FROM THIS BRANCH!! read more

This is by far the WORST car rental company ever! First, one woman behind the counter with 1 inch green nails behind the counter was too busy flirting with her co-worker to even acknowledge me. When I was finally allowed to engage in a conversation, I realized that this company can't possibly hire anyone with any less customer service skills....I can't say anything else as it won't be nice. Let's just say that I had well over 1,500 in the bank and they wouldn't take my debit card because it wasn't a credit card. So, essentially you lost a customer and rental income because it's a debit card? Ok fools! Today, Saturday 2/2/19, I had the displeasure of returning to the same counter for help with a rental car. It wasn't for me, it was for my boyfriend, but I pulled out my credit card because he doesn't have a credit card. I am standing right there, it's not like he stole my card in order to rent the car. Long story short, we walked out because "company policy" states that both the ID and the credit card have to be under the same name. Clearly, this company's branch at the airport doesn't want to rent cars. So, yeah, you lost car rental income for a whole week because of company policy. Step up your game, Enterprise! I always like renting from Enterprise. I have never had an issue with Enterprise in Allentown. They are always great. However the location is an issue. This airport is one that has a central location for all rental cars, as do many airports. I don't mind that. Typically these types of locations have some sort of shuttle to and from the airport. Alternately there is just a short, mostly covered walk from terminal to car. In this airport there is no shuttle and there is a little trek between the terminal and the rental car lot. Not an issue in fair weather, but the weather in Allentown can be less than pleasant at time. Enterprise has an off-airport location that will come pick you up at the terminal and drop you off at the terminal -- I have used that service before but didn't think to this time. I regretted it as the day I flew out was brutally cold and heavy winds out of the north. It makes no sense for me toto rent an Enterprise from the terminal that costs more (terminal charges,etc.) and not get as good if not better service than an off-airport location (on airport road!). The airport location should look at some sort of pickup/drop off solution -- at least in the really nasty weather. read more

Rented a Chrysler 300 to cart around family while visiting. We needed to get going quickly from the airport so I didn't mind when they mentioned a "(small) crack" in the display. The thing was totally smashed like someone hit it with a baseball bat. It also didn't work... one lousy radio station was all we could get for the whole trip. The inside of the windshield was a mess, smeared with something. But they did give me a token discount so i guess that's something. Better than the flight experience with Delta. Argh. read more

Total rip off!! Do no believe what the ABE airport tells you about pricing. They jack up charges big time. Regardless of when you tell them you are returning they charge you $45 per hour for every hour after 5 pm I rented a car for 4 days as it was $700. I signed the agreement with a price of $496 Do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere!! read more

I don't typically write reviews but I felt compelled to do so after my experience with Enterprise. I read the other two reviews and my experience was nothing like theirs. I went to the counter one hour earlier then my reservation. They had everything ready for me and the process took (2) minutes. Both persons at the counter were probably the nicest and friendliness people I have ever met at any rental car company. I rented a van to travel across three states and returned it at the Indianapolis airport. Again, the Indy airport Enterprise rep. was extremely nice and helpful. The airport road location does not even deserve 1 star. I tried calling 7, yes 7 times in a row to see about renting a vehicle and NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE!! I have never rented a car before so I wasn't sure on the procedure and wanted to be sure I had everything before driving out of my way for a rental. I even left a message to have someone call me back and no one did. My husband and I took the 30 minute drive out of our way to go there in person anyway. We walk into the airport which is not busy at all, and one lonely guy at the Enterprise counter. We walk up say that we would like to rent a car and he asks for a credit card and driver's license. My husband gives him his driver's license and his visa debit card. The guy said that they do not accept debit cards. I say that it is a VISA debit card and can be used like a credit card. He said that it was a debit card and is not accepted. My husband and I don't have any credit cards other than our visa debit cards which is linked right to our bank account. I told him that I tried calling several times but no one answered. He response was that they were busy tonight. Yeah he was real busy as he sat at the counter on his cell phone. If he would have answered the phone in the first place, we would have known not to even waste our time driving down there for nothing. What a wasted trip and poor business. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

It was a really a quick and painless transaction. They are located right there at the dropoff/pickup zone for the baggage claim, so they are super easy to get to. My car was nice and clean, and I didn't have to wait around for it. The only bad part is their lot is a two or three minute walk out doors. That's not really a big deal except for the fact that it was raining. I will most like use again when I am in town. read more

I am not able to rate Enterprise very favorable at the moment. I had rented a car last Saturday at the Allentown airport location because the other location I normally use that takes care of me very well every time was closed The agreement was to rent for 8 days using points for 2 of those days for a total of $182 for the 8 days but I unexpectedly had to drop off the car in Pittsburgh and fly out due to the passing of my mother. The change.... dropping the car off 4 days earlier and at a different location is now costing me $ 516. I have called Enterprise twice and explained that the change of drop off location and reduction of days rented was due to the passing of my mother. Both times I have been promised that I would receive a call back from a supervisor. The first call was Wednesday and I tried them again today, Friday, 4 hours ago... I'm still waiting. Hopefully they will at the very least call me back and discuss this with me. Better, would be that they would work with me but I am very disappointed that my situation is not being addressed by a supervisor. I will update if there is any change in the near future. read more

I have been renting from this location since 2007, when I started flying to the area regularly. I have found everything to be consistently great - -friendly staff, very reliable, clean cars in excellent condition, accommodating. They allow me to pre-purchase whatever amount of gas I think I will use, and they are quite flexible. We were able to extend our rental to drive home to Chicago when the airport was recently shut down by a fire, much to our relief. Enterprise as a company tends to have a layer of pressure about insurance coverage, but now I am used to it and arrive prepared with my insurance coverage info. At this airport, you have to walk outdoors, uncovered, on uneven pavement, to the cars, but at least in the past few years they now have an automatic door - very helpful with luggage. read more

This was first bad experience with any Enterprise Franchise. I would probably give all previous branches 5 stars. Upon arrival, they did not have the compact that I 'reserved' so they upgraded me to an SUV (not exactly what I wanted because I was looking for gas mileage but I was cool with it because they gave me a 1/4 tank extra allowance upon return. Get to the car, it smell like smoke and there's a pair of safety glasses on the dash - no biggie. Get 10 miles down the road and notice the fuel gauge is on 'E' - Biggie! I call to talk to the agent and have to persevere through automated answering (pressing 3 on two different questions ...) and the Agent (Ryan who I applaud for his customer service) apologizes, gives me a 10% discount and allows for me to bring the vehicle back with no gas, even emails confirmation of that deal - problem solved ... until the next day I get a voicemail asking to call Enterpise (thinking I was going to get an apology .... and after navigating though another dual automated answering service ... A different Agent answers and gives no apology. They want me to bring back the SUV and exchange it for a compact). Sorry but I didn't have to time to spare to correct for not getting the car I reserved. read more

The service was quick and excellent. I needed a car immediately as my car had been hit by a deer and was out of commission. I am renting for at least two months as the car will not be repaired until early August. Enterprise was recommended by my insurance company,Chubb. The airport at Lehigh Valley was the only Enterprise open over Memorial Day weekend, so I had to be driven an hour to get there. read more

On 6/12/2017 I presented to the Enterprise counter at the Allentown, PA airport to pick-up a reserved rental car (i had a confirmation number). There was a woman in front of the counter on the phone complaining to (I assume customer serve) about the rental car she was just returning. The gal behind the counter was watching her intently. I waited a few minutes then asked the Enterprise gal if she could help me while the other customer was on the phone. The Enterprise gal just looked at me and never responded. About 10 minutes later she decided to help me while the gal on the phone was getting more and more agitated with customer service. She asked me my name. Then without looking at me said she needed my driver's license and credit card. I dropped my license and credit card on the lower counter. The Enterprise gal then still looking at the computer asked if I had the car until the 14th. I said until the day after tomorrow. She looked up at me and repeated very directly, "do you have the car until the 14th?" I stated, "If that is the day after tomorrow then yes. I did not have a calendar and I'm not sure what today's date is". She then handed me back my ID and walked off. When she came back about 3 minutes later she stated she would not rent to me and did not have to. She stated I mistreated her and didn't have to rent a car to me. I asked her to explain how I mistreated her. She then stated that I threw my credit card and license at her. I replied that I did not. I dropped them on the lower counter. She said everyone else hands them to her. I explained that the counter was blocked by the lady on the phone (who was still there and still on the phone) I explained that I dropped them on the counter between her and I (this was about a 5 foot distance). She picked up the phone and called for another person to come down and deal with a customer she refused to rent to. When the supervisor got there she would not listen to what I had to say. All she said was if she doesn't want to rent to you she doesn't have too. I tried to explain but she just walked off. I then went to the National counter after obtaining a confirmation number for a rental and they would not rent to me either. Stated they were sold out. I stated I had a confirmation number but they told me it didn't matter. (The person at the National counter was the Enterprise gal's supervisor) I ended up getting a car from Budget. The Budget counter is right next to the National counter. While I was waiting for the Budget lady to put my information into the system the Enterprise gal and the Supervisor were setting behind the counter at the National counter. They were talking about me and laughing about the situation. I asked for their names but neither of them would give me their names nor was it listed anywhere on the counter. I have been a business traveler for 12 years. I have never been so mistreated by anyone in all my years of travel. read more

I had forgotten to refill the gas tank and the attendant gave me the opportunity to drive across the street and fill up, saving me $20+. Purchased a package to visit the area. Car was included in the package. The staff at pickup was pushy and rude. She was blatantly angry that I would not pre-buy gasoline or insurance from her. Upon dropoff I was told the charge was 250. I inquired why there would be any charge and the girl checking in told me she has no idea but it's happened to several people that day. I needed to go inside to talk to someone. Once at the counter they confirmed my car was paid for in advance through my package and I would not be charged at all. Next day they charged my card $250. Calls to enterprise corporate were referred back to the location because of the amount involved. Calls to the location I was told they were sure it was only pending and no idea what an "admin fee" would have been charged for. RUN AROUND!! Luckily I had booked my trip through AAA. One call to them, and they contacted the location on my behalf and they finally agreed to refund my $250. Apparently the girl I picked it up from put my "security deposit hold" into an admin fee so that I would be charged. DISHONEST business practice! With so many people in need of work, dump the dishonest ones and get someone who will treat your customers right! read more
