I have rented from Enterprise many times in the past. I will NEVER rent from them again. I called today and made a one week hold reservation for a Chrysler Pacifica. They called back and said they didn't have the vehicle after having confirmed the reservation. I called back and made a new reservation at another location. I called the location directly and they didn't have the vehicle after confirming that they did . I had to call Avis and get the vehicle. Enterprise has been my go to for many years. I will never rent from them again. They run a total Mickey Mouse operation that nobody knows what's going on. I called the manager and told him this information and he didn't seem to care. read more

In Athens, the Enterprise car rental at 3100 Atlanta was a positive experience. We have used Enterprise at both locations in Athens several times in the past five years and would definitely recommend it. On our most recent occasion to use their business -this location, at 3100 Atlanta Highway, although it is a little bit farther out of town, was better for prices and more helpful than the other Athens Enterprise location (that is also on Atlanta highway but closer to Athens) . read more

They really do pick you up! (I figured this ad line was gimmicky and I'd have trouble getting anyone to fetch me from home so I could get to the Enterprise office and sign up for a rental car. I was wrong! Friendly Greg rolled up in a gargantuan SUV fifteen minutes after I called!) The service is great, the prices are okay, and they give you a deal if you ask for one. The office itself is small, unattractive, and pity-inducing. Harsh fluorescent lights and a handful of cubicle-like work areas in a space the size of a larger-than-usual mobile home. That being said, you don't spend much time inside the place--you're there for a car, after all. The first car I rented was a bit dirty and felt like a toy car--turning the wheel made me feel I was sitting in an arcade racing game, as it was too easy to move and felt plasticy. I explained this to the person working, a bit embarrassed that I was complaining about a car--after all, I had one to drive, right? Jill said she totally understood and offered a swap that day. Nice. I needed to rent a cargo van last minute to move some boxes and large house plants. I priced a Ford Transit van at U-haul, over $120 for the day AND mileage fees!! I went to Enterprise and made a reservation for the exact same vehicle for less than 1/2 the cost AND mileage was included!! Customer service was also top-notch. The reservation and pickup process was simple and entire staff was very friendly. I had the rental one day and an employee called to ensure everything was going well. The following day when I returned the van, again the staff was extremely helpful. I will definitely rent from this Enterprise location again. read more

An Enterprise employee stole my car charger. I left my charger in the rental care provided by enterprise. I remembered leaving it as I was driving away because my phone needed to be charged. I could not go back because I was already late for an appointment. I called Enterprise early in the morning the following day to ask them to keep it at the front desk for me and I would pick it up later. Enterprise said that they did not have my charger which means an employee stole my car charger. read more

When trying to arrange a pickup time for the next morning, I was told "just call us when you are ready." I called at 9:30 this morning for a pickup, and was told 5-10 minutes. At 10am, I called to make sure I hadn't been forgotten, and was told someone would be there in another 15 minutes. Fifteen minutes after that, I called again and was told the guy had just left to pick me up. I waited for an hour and ten minutes total! I'm not angry about the wait so much, but about the way they kept telling me, "just a few more minutes". A phone call from *them* to *me* to warn me they were running behind would have made a big difference, too. For my trouble, I was offered a free upgrade the next time I come in. An actual discount on this week's rental would have gone over much better with me. I won't go back to them again. EDIT: It gets worse. One of the employees called on Wednesday, apologized, and agreed to give me a discount as a way of making things up to me. I felt better about the company, and decided to stick with them for the following week. When I called the day before I was supposed to either turn in the car or extend the rental, I asked about the promised discount. I was told by another employee that I was getting a fantastic deal already, and that I didn't deserve anything else. Nice. So I decided to just give up and move on. Reserved a car at Budget down the street, and turned in the car at Enterprise. Nice employee from the phone conversation was there, and gave me a small discount anyway. Too late, though. I don't think any of those guys actually communicate with each other, much less the customers. read more

I have rented from them many times. I haven't never experienced an issue with any representative @ this location. All I have ever encountered went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure all paperwork was in order and that I was satisfied with my rental and experience. I will say though that I have never called to have them pick me up and take me to their office. So, I can't comment on that experience but, otherwise I always use them @ this location and enjoy my experience every time. read more

I needed a rental car while my car was in the shop after I got into an accident where the other party was at fault. Enterprise made me pay over $200 for an optional fee, which I wasn't told was optional. The girl that assigned me the rental flat out said the daily fee was covered by insurance and that it was my job to pay the $15 a day as sort of an "insurance" fee on the car. I saw charges on my credit card from Enterprise totaling over $450. I called 3-4 times in a week--every time I was told that I would get a call back but never did. Finally after the 4th call I got an answer: I still have to pay the $260 for an optional fee that I wasn't told was optional. As a college student, it's going to take me weeks to just to save up that money. Enterprise needs to do a better job of making the terms, conditions, and fees clear to the renter--unless they just do it intentionally to get more money. Nevertheless, horrible first time experience. read more

Edit: Enterprise has corrected the mistake and outside of that hiccup I had a great rental experience. Do not rent from here. Their employee in charge for my rental did not ask me to check the car for damages before leaving with it and apparently did not give the car a proper inspection either because upon return I was falsely accused of damaging the vehicle. However, because I trusted their rental process there is not much I can do to dispute it. read more

Asked specifically for a truck online a week before I needed it. They promise they'd have one ready, the day comes, no trucks on the lot. Enterprise calls their other location, to use the truck they have. So we go to the other location and they said their only truck is getting the battery fixed and won't be available today. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Made online reservations the night prior. Was called at 8am saying they had no vehicles. I was supposed to pick it up at 10am. I called corporate and they made reservations with one right down the street. When i called them to make sure they had it they had no cars. I called corporate at 8:45am and they sent a message to the regional manager to call me. At 9:45 I call corporate. She said she didn't know when the manager would call. I waited another hour and called back. She sent me to the higher ups who called other locations and eventually hung up on me. I called back. They found a location in Winder. I called them and he said I didn't get any sort of discount or upgrades because they did nothing wrong. And i asked for a compact. He wanted to put me in a minivan. Then when i said I was using a debit card i had to bring 2 bills in my name. I'm 2 hours late leaving and have NO time to go through bills right now. Enterprise allows you to reserve cars online when they may or may not have any available. It's like writing a bad check. read more

I called the location prior to arrival because I would be arriving right at closing time explained to the unprofessional lady on the phone that we had to catch a flight out of Atlanta that's why we needed the car rental from Athens to Atlanta I arrived at 2:01 and watched that b**** behind the counter just look at me while she was playing on her phone. The representatives were very friendly...but not particularly competent. They typed in my information wrong, which resulted in an extra charge 3 months later on my credit card. When I called, they acknowledged their mistake but couldn't figure out who to contact to fix it. The representative was very nice and promised to call me back the next day with more information. We had to rent vehicles from them on two different occasions. We were involved in an accident and need to have our Truck repaired. I was told that there would be no problem for us to rent a truck. When we went there they wanted a $50. deposit. We were not paying for the rental, The insurance company of the other vehicle was. So we had to settle for a small car. The car was dirty. Had ashes in it. We had the vehicle about two weeks. I cleaned the vehicle the first day we had it. Glad I did, in the passenger's door there was a part of a blunt. The second time we rented another vehicle from them it also was dirty. Would not rent a vehicle from them again read more

Having had a long career in medical / healthcare sales, I've often used the main rental car companies (many different locations) across the U.S, but mainly in the southeast. Over the past few years, I've had the opportunity to use this Enterprise office (Atlanta Hwy in Athens) on multiple occasions, and have really been impressed with the consistency of the professionalism (among the staff with whom I've worked when leasing or returning a car); the genuinely nice, authentic, helpful attitudes of all individuals with whom I've had contact (again, very consistent feature of my experience); & the degree to which this particular office seems to do whatever is needed (within reason) to accommodate customers' needs. I very rarely post reviews, but when a business truly distinguishes itself on a consistent basis over time, that business (& those individuals) really do deserve recognition. In my experience, this office -& these individuals- have really earned that distinction. They've certainly exceeded my expectations. read more
