My wife has had 2 different rentals in the past 3 months that they have dropped the ball every step of the way. Both times they told us the car would be ready at the oak street location and would be a non smoking car. Both times the car was at the wrong location and gave us smoking cars. I rented a car here on 6/1 to go from georgia to haines city Fl. Everything was fine got a call from them saying everything was good and I would get my deposit back on 6/3 2026. Then I get hit for a 300$ charge on 6/11. They took my deposit and will not give it back I called spoke to customer service and she said she sent an urgent email to get it resolved. I went back to the store and they said it was a drop off fee which was suppost to be 250$ so why 300 and why was I never told. I have done this trip before with no issues and no drop off fee. They made a mistake and instead of reprimanding the employee they take me deposit what a joke. I had to take it up with the credit card company because enterprise wont man up and do what is right, or even talk to me. Go here if you want but when they slap you with a 300$ charge out of nowhere you were warned. read more

Completely Unacceptable Experience - Enterprise Failed Me If I could give zero stars, I would. I booked a rental through an insurance claim expecting a truck-for-truck replacement -- something suitable for a 6-foot-tall construction professional who hauls equipment daily. What did Enterprise hand me? A tiny, beat-up red Mitsubishi Mirage that looked like it belonged in a go-kart race, not a job site. I tried to be flexible and would've accepted a midsize car, but this was beyond unreasonable. When I called to request an exchange, I was told to check other locations in Athens. For three days straight, I called every branch and was told nothing was available. Finally, I was told a vehicle was ready -- I drove 20 minutes out of my way only to be lied to again. No vehicle. No apology. Just excuses about it being a game day weekend and everything being booked for the next week and a half. What about the customers who booked two weeks ago and are still being handed scraps? Enterprise clearly overbooks, underdelivers, and treats insurance claim customers like second-class citizens. Their lack of accountability, poor communication, and failure to meet basic expectations is appalling. If you're relying on Enterprise to get you back on the road after an accident, prepare to be disappointed. I'll be taking my business -- and my insurance company's referrals -- elsewhere. read more

Do not use Athens Enterprise Rental Car! They will not drop-off as promised if you are at the Athens airport.

We showed up after our reservation time to pick up a van we rented. It was still being fetched from another location, which isn't too far out of the ordinary. But the car was still pretty dirty on the inside and the gas tank was completely empty. Then when we dropped it off, my son left a stuffed animal in the car. The mistake was discovered pretty quickly, so my wife and son went back to retrieve it. Maybe 10 minutes had passed between dropping off the car and when they arrived to get the doll. By then, the lady cleaning the car had already thrown it in the trash. She didn't set it aside. She didn't make any attempt to let us know it had been left. She just tossed it in the trash without a thought. So just be prepared with wipes and maybe a vacuum to clean your car when you pick it up. And sure as hell don't leave anything in the car. You probably won't be notified and your belongings will go straight to the landfill. Oh. And the brakes in our car made the car shake when we stopped. It probably had a warped rotor or something. But it drove fine otherwise. read more

Terrible service. Booked a car for the weekend. They call one day ahead to verify some info. Apparently my address (an apartment complex in Athens for 20+ years), is unverifiable in their system, thus making me jump through hoops to prove my existence. Then I show up for my rental and they do not accept my debit card. It's accepted everywhere...stores restaurants,hotels, plane tickets, yet not at Enterprise. read more

I've been using this location for work rentals for some time, with service always delivered as expected. Recently, the team at this location went "above and beyond" to help me scramble for a next-day rental after I realized at 5pm the previous day that I had not submitted the booking correctly. Rented one-way from New Hampshire to Atlanta. GOOD: easy to reserve car; good experience in NH, pleasant staff; enjoyed the car, performed well on the two-day drive. BAD 1: Had planned to return the car to the 3891 Main Street, College Park store by 5pm. Because we knew we were going to be about 30 minutes late and the store closed at 5, we tried for 45 MINUTES to call to let them know and to ask them what we should do. Finally we called the Reservation line and the attendant assured us all we had to do was leave the keys in the lockbox. Problem solved. BAD2: Got to the store, only to find notices on the window that the lockbox was NOT available, with instructions to take it to the Rental Car Center (RCC) at Hartsfield Airport. Took us awhile to find the RCC as we were unfamiliar and it was a holiday Friday night at the world's busiest airport. Spent over an hour longer returning a car than we should have. Totally unacceptable to be on hold for almost 45 minutes. Way too many other rental choices to have to deal with this - I've ALWAYS rented from Enterprise, no one else. Sadly I have to reconsider my options. read more

I'd have given four stars if this office had sufficient staffing. They're always friendly, helpful, and efficient, but the branch is often overwhelmed with customers. So, I'm giving one star off for being understaffed and another for their cars sometimes smelling like customers have smoked in them. Difficult for the people at the branch to do much about either of those concerns, of course. read more

Associates at Enterprise Leasing on Oak Street in Athens, GA were very courteous and helpful. The SUV was clean and ready to go. It was raining the day I rented, and they even offered to walk me to my rental under their umbrella. My son went to an office in Atlanta and was able to be added as an additional driver without me having to go to the hassle of being their also. Absolutely no complaints. read more

Very unhappy with this Enterprise location. We've rented 3 or 4 times from this location this year. Cars have been given to us without being cleaned (stains all over seats and smelly), tank on empty, long waits inside the office. But the main reason we won't be going back is that the last car we rented mistakenly had the damage waiver added (has never been a problem before as we use our own insurance, and we didn't select this option when making the booking online) and they agreed to take the charge off. It's been six weeks and no refund for damage waiver or security deposit. Rented a car from Budget down the road and got a nice clean car with a full tank of gas, and we were in and out in 5 minutes. read more

Had a mostly negative experience with Enterprise on Oak Street for a 3-week rental. Under-staffing, cheap cars, lack of follow-through, and unfriendly policies were the main complaints. The day I rented, I was told I would have to pay an extra $10/day for my domestic partner to use the car because I was told the allowance for domestic partners to drive without fee only applies to gay couples (?!). I called to ask for a different car after having the car for a day because the engine was struggling to accelerate and then lurching forward. I was asked to call back the next day at 10 AM when another car would be available. I called back at 10 AM the next day but was told there was no car available. The representative stated she would call back when one was available, but she never did. Finally, when I returned the car, there was one employee dealing with a room full of customers. Oak Street Enterprise seems to be the forgotten child of management. read more
