One of the best rental experiences I've had at any Enterprise, dealing with Isaac was a breeze he was able to find my information and get me in the luxury vehicle that was available to me when I was told by another employee I won't mention their name because it was resolved. Great experience.. Isaac handled everything professionally and was there for both for the rental and the return. Side note They even have a popcorn machine and water dispenser while you wait. Another side note the vehicle that was given was a Hyundai Genesis with less than 10,000 miles. What a joke! "Enterprise, we pick you up". More like, "We let you down. Way down!' Especially when I need to go to work, but cannot because they totally screwed me...Supposed to pick me up and provide a car. I need to go to work. All covered through insurance. Reservation made. Phone call confirmation made- by Enterprise- the actual place that was supposed to pick me up. Nope! They never showed up! Never picked me up. Would not answer calls during business hours! Called another Enterprise in town...they said they had no manager and no cars available. Yikes, how in the heck do you run a business like this? What an absolute joke. BEWARE!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!! Unfortunately I had a situation similar to Patrick P's (7/24/2023). Approximately three months after I rented a car from Enterprise I received a letter indicating I caused more than $3,700 of damage to the car I had rented! The letter indicated I should report the claim to my insurance company, and indicated that after reporting this to my insurance company, I was to contact them to give them my insurance information, or in the alternative I could just go ahead and pay the monies directly if I didn't want to go through insurance. First I was shocked. Then I was pissed! The date of loss was not a date I rented the car, and I drafted an "angry letter." In examining the letter from Enterprise more closely on where to send my "angry letter" to I noted it was printed with a cheap ink jet printer. I began to think it could possibly be a sham, and I searched online and found something from someone who had the same experience, same letter, warning this was a scam. Thus, after forwarding what I found on the internet to my boyfriend and feeling thankful I didn't need to waste any more time on the "angry letter" I drafted, I threw the letter away from Enterprise and forgot about it. In June, six months later, I was contacted by MY insurance company saying they have not been able to honor or pay my claim because they had not had the opportunity to inspect my vehicle! After a series of communications with my insurance company who was communicating with Enterprise, and learning the basis on which they alleged I caused the rental damage, I submitted a declaration under penalty of perjury the specifics of my return of the rental, that there was no damage to the vehicle while in my possession and a witness to that fact. Despite the significant negotiation between my insurance company and Enterprise, on July 18th, Enterprise sent me a letter indicating "Our records show that we have been unable to resolve the claim cited above.... and we have not received payment for the full amount of our loss." "If we do not receive payment for the total amount due within ten (10) days of the above date WE WILL HAVE NO ALTERNATIVE BUT TO TURN THIS MATTER OVER TO A COLLECTION AGENCY OR INDEPENDENT ATTORNEY [emphasis added]... If you have any questions regarding your responsibility for this loss, please contact our office. This will be our final notice." Did you know a debt will be assumed to be valid unless the consumer disputes the validity of the debt within 30 days? That if you dispute a debt to the debt collector, they must obtain verification of the debt? I didn't - and that is why the Fair Debt Practices Act requires a debt collector to notify a consumer of such within 5 days after the initial communication. I never got such a notification until 10 months after I allegedly damaged the vehicle. I had NO IDEA I had incurred this "debt"! Because my insurance company is not going to pay the $3,756.70, and I am for sure the heck not, it looks like I will be reported to a credit agency or an attorney. Ultimately it will work out as I know there are no witnesses, video surveillance, police report, etc. demonstrating that I caused any damage but it will take even more hours more devoted to this. On a positive note, I've learned alot, having spent hours learning consumer protection laws, and see if this goes further it will get reported to the Attorney General. I hope not but perhaps that is what it will take to change their business practices. Seriously, Enterprise needs to think more carefully of this practice of notifying someone for the first time of damages months afterward of damages alleged to have occurred, and then threatening to report one to a credit agency or turn this matter over to an attorney for not paying for something you know you didn't cause seems outrageously unfair, a type of extortion. I think most people have had no problem with Enterprise which is great (heck my boyfriend and I have both rented from Enterprise in the past with no problem!), and you will likely not have the extremely bad luck that Patrick P and I have had. HOWEVER, I WOULD SUGGEST that after returning your rental car, be sure to walk around it, taking pictures of everything. In addition have a friend there to be a witness the car was returned in pristine condition. If you are ever accused of having a debt that you dispute having, refer to the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. It is extremely protective of a consumer, and protects your credit rating while you are disputing the claim. The Act prohibits false representations that includes threats to take any action that is not intended to be taken, communicating or threatening to communicate to any person credit information which is known or which should be known to be false, including the failure to communicate that a disputed debt is disputed. read more

I paid an additional $265.32 out of pocket, on top of what my insurance paid for the two weeks I rented a car from here. I paid two deposits because this Enterprise location determined I didn't pay enough the first time; $150 plus an extra $40.75. I received the rental car with half a tank of gas and I returned the car to Enterprise on a full tank. I received a car that was barely clean and had pet hair and crumbs all over the car. Enterprise claimed they knew about the condition of the vehicle but they'll say anything to get the car rented. Two weeks after returning the car, they charged an additional $74.57 fee for the same mess they claimed they knew about. Complete liars. Wouldn't recommend this location. Horrible location! Do not rent from here or even return a vehicle to this location. They are charging me over $1300 worth of damages I did not cause. Unfortunately I only have one photo of part of the minor damage (mostly small scratches I was told wouldn't be considered damage) prior to renting the vehicle and I will be calling their damage recovery unit and talking to German who claims there was an investigation and that I caused this damage. I'm at the point where I will never rent from enterprise again and I will tell everyone I know to never rent from them, especially this location. I absolutely cannot afford these repairs and I'm not sure what to do. Edit: In response to the reply, I've contacted your location and the damage recovery unit and they claimed that I am responsible for all of the damages because they did an "investigation." I actually have a photo of before I left the lot with the vehicle showing two areas of damage that I clearly did not cause. I am currently renting a vehicle with them now. I've been calling them everyday of the week for an upgrade to a suv or truck because I had a trip scheduled that requires more space. Everyday I called was a different excuse. Ultimately they all ended with call back Friday morning and we will be able to get you in one by the afternoon. I call back Friday with them telling me they're all booked up and can't help me. Never once did they put me on a waiting list, never once did they right a single note in the account stating I, the customer, is attempting to reserve an upgrade and requires more help. I would give zero stars if I could. Weirdest system I have seen at a rental car agency. Typically you check in they give you keys and you are in your way. I checked in 30 minutes ago and apparently you have to get checked out by someone so not sure how much longer it is going to take. Had they told me that up front I could have adjusted my schedule for their messed up system. This is ridiculous. My advice is drive to the airport if you need a car as they do it the way it is suppose to be done at the airport rental desk. Updating review another 15 minutes has passed and now they asked me if I have been helped?? Unbelievable!! They found a car but now have to go wash it first. Sorry I can't recommend this location. Asked for a pickup and it didn't go well with them. I asked for one on one day they told me it was to late they were closing within a hour. So a few days later I called again this time a bit earlier and they gave me the run around again. I was a bit disappointed but needed the rental this time. Once I got there they were very nice but didn't seem as busy as they told me over the phone (one of their excuse why they couldn't pick me up). Renter beware! Take pictures or video of your rental car before driving off the lot. They accused me of puncturing a hole in the car. Initially when I checked out the car from my perspective it looked like a scuff mark. The lady said not to worry as long as it's not bigger than a golf ball you're fine! Yeah right! Big mistake. I was accused of placing a dent and messing up the fender on my rental. I needed a larger vehicle for the day and everything was fine until I took possession. Aside from the outside being filthy, there was less than half a tank of gas in the tank. While driving, I learned the auto restart was malfunctioning and turned the car completely off twice. I returned the vehicle and asked to have the fuel refunded since i returned it with more fuel than I started with. They pointed to policy which is fine if the vehicle actually had the amount of fuel it was supposed to when I started. Terrible policies and bad customer service. read more

We'll see you tomorrow at 2:30pm." Arrived on Tuesday at 2:20pm and waited for the short young female, brown hair, with tattoos on her arms to finish "dealing with" the previous customer. When we gave the young girl our reservation number along with corporate ID for corporate discount, was told by her that "They do not honor this anymore." (Story #1) We advised her that we use this corporate discount each time we rent from this Enterprise, AND that when entering this corporate information online, it was accepted as always. She then said she did not know how to process this type of rental. (Story #2) Then she said that she would have to talk to her manager, but he was locked inside his office "in a meeting". (Story #3) She saw a coworker drive in the parking lot and said "Oh good. My coworker can help you with this." The coworker knocked on the managers door and opened the door and spoke to the manager, then returned to us at the counter and said all they had available was a Mitsubishi Mirage or something like that. When we advised her that we reserved a "full size" car, she replied that "a lot of our cars are coming back damaged." Really? (Story #4) Mitsubishi Mirage? A TINY CAR!! We were going on vacation to Arizona and by no means did we want to drive to Arizona and get beat around in that little car for 7 hours on the road each way. (And more than likely probably would not have even held our luggage, etc.!) After obviously refusing the "tiny car", we were advised they were sending another car over from their Auto Mall location and "It SHOULD be here soon." They could not even confirm if the expected vehicle had been cleaned, serviced, or anything. We left without a rental car, and truly felt as if the staff here could care less about ANY of their customers. This Enterprise location USED to be a well ran operation, but this was FAR from what we experienced on this occasion. I have only had a few experiences with car rentals, but this one went really smoothly. I need to rent a car while the body shop next door fixed my car and I was recommended by the shop to come here to Enterprise and everything went smoothly. I walked in and was greeted warmly and asked if any vehicles were available and I was told that I was to come back around 4 PM to get a car. My insurance info was looked up and everything was set! I came back later in the afternoon and picked up my rental and was given the whole spiel about the condition of the car and how it had to come back. I took pictures just in case something happened. I also opted to purchase the liability insurance for $16/day in case something happened to the car as they would accept liability in case of an accident. I returned the car back a week later when my car was repaired and everything went smoothly. I was only charged for the liability insurance as the rental was covered by claim. Not sure why there so many negative reviews, but I had a great experience, plus I enjoyed driving my rental car and thought it was well-maintained! I love Enterprise Rent-A-Car and rent all the time, but please don't go to this location unless you have an extra hour to wait! When we picked up our car on Fri it took us over an hour to get through a line of 5 people. I thought that was bad, it took us longer than that to drop off our car on Sat. Maria spent 25 minutes with one customer looking at her photos on her phone, telling her about the medical care in Los Angeles, asking her about her vacation ...all while there's a line of people nearly out the door! 25 minutes! All the while, the csr next to her helped 7 customers during the same time, and she was still with the one single customer. I was customer number 2 for her and drew the short straw, unfortunately, and after inspecting the car and then spending 15 minutes (!!!) looking through paper receipts "for my benefit" I asked if she could just have me initial the e-tablet and acknowledge the drop-off, she initially told me no, when I pressed the issue she said I could. I have done this many times over the years and usually get out of Enterprise within 3 to 5 minutes. One hour is way too long to drop off a car Maria! Our car was going into the shop after having been rear ended last week, our insurance company arranged a rental through this location. A lady called to set up the rental over the phone yesterday both my husband and I were on speaker phone with her and she told us the car wouldn't be ready until *after* 12:30 today. We run a small business and were unable to get down there until shortly after 1pm. No car. They rented the car to someone else because we weren't there right at 12:30 on the dot. They claimed we had been told on the phone that we needed to be there right at 12:30 - both of us were on the phone and no such thing was said. And, it was an semi-extensive conversation as she took down all of our personal info (drivers license, etc.) supposedly to expedite the rental process and was sure to tell us we needed to pay a $50 deposit. So in all that detail she didn't make clear or emphasize AT ALL that we needed to be there right at 12:30 - but she was sure certain to make sure we told her EXACTLY what car repair shop our personal car was going to be at - not sure why she needed to know but she waited while we dug through paperwork to get the information. Our insurance company arranged the rental. Our car was going into the shop for 2+ days - it isn't like we weren't going to show up to get the car. I've rented numerous cars and have never run into this sort of outrageous nonsense. Customer service here is atrocious. Updated 10/17/2018 to add: Called my insurance agent who made some phone calls and magically, Enterprise on Rosedale managed to get me a car by 5pm - when previously I had only been offered a more expensive truck or nothing until the following day at 3pm. Upon arriving at the office was greeted by Jasmine who announced, "Glad we had a car for you this time." The manager, started my paper work on the rental with the comment, "Oh, yeah, we just picked you up." And, then promptly passed me off to someone else and retreated to her office. The professionalism of this establishment continues to amaze... I was treated to a pre-inspection of the car from stem to stern with all the courtesy and professionalism law enforcement typically reserves for the common criminal pulled over at the side of the highway. I usually rent cars from Hertz at the airport. I have always received courteous, kind, prompt service from them. However, it's quite a drive from my house so today I opted to go to this Enterprise. I made my reservation online last night. Unlike Hertz, it does not allow you to include the insurance option when making the reservation. I figured it would be about the same as Hertz, and booked it anyway. For a two day rental, they were going to tack $50 on my rental price for the cheaper coverage. $75 for the more expensive one. In a pinch for time, I had to turn down the insurance. Their deductible on my card was also outrageously high. Unlike Hertz, he told me it would take three or four business days before it was put back on my card. AFTER he had done the transaction. Around bill time, this just put me in a serious crunch. It would be nice to let me know BEFORE you did the transaction. Furthermore, the service was awful. The guy helping me was really rude. He talked to me like I was an idiot. You know those slick-talking used car salesmen that make your skin crawl? He was like that. I was extremely put off. The other two guys who walked into the office mid-transaction also made it feel very uncomfortable. They seemed like dumb college frat boys in cheap slacks and button ups. Well my wife needed a rental car and we contacted Enterprise and told them we will be there Tuesday to pick up a car. This was a week in advance. We called to verify the day before and 30 minutes prior to pick up. We get there and there is no car ready for us. This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode, about the rental car company, they take the reservation but can't hold the reservation. No car really? Actually there was one car sitting there but they would not give it to us. So we waited 35 minutes for them to get a car ready to rent. How is this possible? We called 30 minutes before we got there to confirm everything. They knew we were coming and nothing. This is absolutely horrible customer service. Everyone at this location is professional other than Stacy. She's rude, she doesn't ask the appropriate things prior to loaning out a car, and she does not offer insurance. I am a Float Nurse who goes to all hospitals in Kern County and will let every single employee I work with know how I was treated by her at this location. Horrible Manager.
