THE CAR WAS INFESTED WITH ROACHES!!!!!! My husband decided to rent a car from here so that we could go visit family to let them meet our newborn. We get in the car and everything seemed fine. We drove three hours and got to our family's home right as the sun was going down. After about 1 hour we opened the door to get back in the car and roaches started crawling out from under the seats and vents!!!!! We had no idea until it got dark that there were roaches inside the whole car! They got all over our bags in the trunk and my husbands PlayStation!!!! This five-star review is for Elsie Mae. We called the number we were given, made a reservation, and were told to go to this location. However, this location didn't have the vehicle we needed. We didn't have transportation, we got a ride there because our truck broke, so it was a big deal. You know how it is to be bouncing on the phone with not helpful answers. Elsie Mae took upon herself to call and find the vehicle we needed and she arranged to honor the price we had on our reservation. She gave us a ride to the other Enterprise location. They took the car to the shop since it wasn't one of their regular cars and instead of checking with the other location, they directly charged me for all the dents and minor damage that had accumulated over the previous three years, despite the location I rented from saying that none of the damage was chargeable. Risk department never called me back, or returned my emails, and said I was ignoring them They threatened to take me to collections and took out a claim with my insurance company (I had just had an accident and did not want to bring my insurance company into this). It's been a month and I'm still being financially harassed by Enterprise over these fraudulent claims. read more

I was recommended here through the insurance company. I am not very happy with this place or the whole situation. My car was hit by a drunk driver this past Friday and we were out of town. I come home the next day to see my recently purchased truck damaged. Not a good way to start our morning. I spoke to Geico agent and they recommend Enterprise Rental not my choice. So I come here and not too many cars to choose from. Only 2 to be exact a Nissan or a Toyota not the best looking things but I picked out the Nissan. Anyways only had the car for 2 days I dont travel anywhere, just work and home. I noticed when I walked out from work to the car their was something hanging. So this morning I called and spoke to Chris and he ask me to take the car to Carroll's, to get looked at.Why should I take my time out of my schedule to do this ? I dont understand. My Insurance company arranged a rental for me after my car accident on friday. My son brought me here the next morning I was still so shaken and stressed and upset from the accident but the sweet guy that helped me made the process completely painless. Gave me a brand new car to drive which is really awesome especially since my car was seriously damaged and will possibly take up to or more than a month for body work and mechanical work. A couple of times there were issues, but each time the problem was resolved to our satisfaction. I wanted to pick up my new car from dealership near this place in Bakersfield so I rented a car from Enterprise Sherman Oaks and drove for 1:30 hour to this place to drop off the car. Michelle,the manage, got the key from me and after she inspected the car, she claimed that there is a "huge crack" on rear bumper which was not there before and wanted me to give them my insurance information. I explained to her that it is not huge crack and I saw it when I picked up the car but employee in Sherman Oaks branch told me that it is too small to document it but she did not admitted it and file an accident report !!! next day I went to Sherman Oaks branch and asked for manager. Took plent of pics and had the guy initial all the dents but he kept insisting that everything is noted and didn't have to worry . Only reason I came here cause my car was in the shop and was sent here . Been here 3 to 4 times so I started believing them so I stop taking pics and things like that. This last time I took it in the guy that help me out, acted strange and he went straight to the top of the car like he knew what he was looking for , when I asked what's wrong he said nothing I just need to go the the office , then he sprung that there was so called damage on the top of the car and it wasn't noted. He then lied and said he encourages people to take pictures. Then they told me they had cameras and we cannot look at the footage because it was after closing so there system was off then when I got aggravated at what they did I went in and said this is fd up what you guys are doing is shitty and you guys know it . Then all of a sudden I was told we can check the cameras but they only go back 2 weeks so still no help so I remember I have cameras at my house and told them that I took it straight home and showed them and they said well it's blurry and either way you left the lot so that won't help. Afterwards I said I'm not returning the car until this gets resolved and the employee that did the receiving said well I already did a claim. To me it seemed like they knew this vehicle was damaged and wanted to blame a trusting customer. So my advice if you go here don't believe what they say take pictures and have them sign a piece of paper acknowledging of all the damages . Do not believe them when they say there noted down. Don't be as trusting as I was with them because if they mess up they will take it out on the customer. Be very careful with this location and take pictures of the whole car and video of it and make sure they give you a written paper of all the damages because they will lie and say it's noted down don't worry. 1- I was charged for 4 days, more than what I was quoted for a week, and I was charged for dropping the car in a different location even though at the time of renting nobody told me anything. 2- When I returned the car the employee kneeled and then bent and checked under the car and asked if we have seen the small puncture under the car (the first employee whe checked the return didn't notice it either). I was surprised. when I was renting the car nobody told me that I have to kneel and then bent and check under the car. After reading all of the very negative reviews at just about every car rental place in Bakersfield, I was pretty nervous about renting a car here. I chose the location on Gasoline Alley and made my reservation online which was very easy. I reserved the basic economy vehicle, which they did not have available when I arrived, but they upgraded me at no additional charge. The employees were very friendly and accommodating. Returning the car was pleasant as well. I think a lot of people leaving the negative reviews are bent out of shape when they can't rent due to their not having a credit card or when they return the car outside of the 24 hr window they get charged for another day. We are renting a $20K + car. I think it's reasonable to require a $200 deposit, to return the car clean, undamaged and on time to the location agreed upon in your original quote. I recommend adding the $11 a day enterprise insurance to your rental to protect you if someone hits you. I appreciate being able to rent a car and I will definitely return to this location when I need to rent a car again. Thank you so much! read more
