If I could give them a zero I would! The shittiest service! I've been renting for a few years and this has been the worst experience. I rented a vehicle and aside from waiting 40 minutes to an hour for a vehicle with a prior reservation I was told by their employee tolls will be covered and come to find out after my rental I get billed and reach out to inquire about the charges. I was told they work with a third party toll company and they are the ones who can help with the refund as it is out of Enterprise's hand. I call the toll company and was told to have the branch manager, Jessica Kennedy, write and email explain the situation and they will refund the tolls. Reach out back to the AM, Allie, who tells me she will notify the manager and will have her call me or email. 12/16 was the first time I talked to Jessica and because I called, I've sent emails and called and Allie has only been the one to support and unfortunately there wasn't much she could do. Their area/district manager, Michael Powell, is just as incompetent as I emailed him and was sent the attached email after having to email a couple of times for an update after not being able to reach the Branch Manager. $27 Enterprise can't pay for and a email they can't be bothered to send which they said was out of their hands and the toll company will take care of but now it's on Enterprise. Quite literally the worst service I have ever received. They called and left a voicemail to tell me my debit card was acceptable payment, but failed to tell me that a credit card was required for an out-of-state license. See the screenshot of the voicemail they left, and notice that they completely didn't mention that my out-of-state license and lack of a credit card disqualified me from being able to rent a car. Their idiotic front desk staff said they didn't want to get in trouble for taking a debit card, even though they CLEARLY have a process for it, so they left me stranded 40 miles from home without a car. I have read some other posts here about their negative experiences and I am a little baffled as to how that could have happened. I mean, sure, this location may appear dirty compared to the one in Round Rock or Austin--it is a little outdated. No, there isn't a big paved garage with an enormous number of luxurious cars, but they have some on their unpaved "dirt" lot. However, what they do have that is hard to find is an amazing (amazing may be beneath their level of quality) team that provides the best service. Whenever I have to make a reservation, it seems like it becomes a micro adventure for Ms. Jessica and the team. These "adventures" are curve balls that are thrown from my end, NEVER has it been their end. There have been times that I have had to move up my reservation or my kids just wanted a "cooler" car (their definition of "cooler" is renting a van ‍). This Bastrop team has always gone above and beyond for me. Their "can do" attitude makes it easier to get in and get out. I can't thank them enough and I am sure no one wants to read a novel on how much I am grateful and appreciate their service. read more

GROSS DIRTY CARS!! I went to this location to pick up a rental today. It was dirty. Gross white stuff in the back seat, the front seats were dirty, the floor mats were disgusting, dead bugs and dirt were all over the outside, pieces of tree stuck to the top of the car, in the windshield, and elsewhere. The "manager" Jennifer took to be "rewashed/cleaned". She brought it back less dirty but still dirty, all problems were still there except the gross floor mat which was taken out and now it had a bunch of dirt on the floor and no floor mat. I closed the door. I got frustrated asking her why the car still wasn't clean, that it's not that hard to wash and vacuum a car. She rudely told me if I didn't want to rent (the dirty) car I didn't have to. My frustration grew after that. Jennifer told me the trunk wouldn't open unless I had the car on. Which is dangerous and we all know not true. I had to look up a you tube video and of course you don't have to have the car on. So she lied because she didn't want to take the time to figure it out. She asked me if saw any damage on the rental and I asked her to go over the damage they already had noted so I knew I didn't do it. She refused. When I persisted she said she'd do it later, now I'm really upset and you can hear it in my voice. She then basically said that I can either take the dirty car or not rent from them. I told her I shouldn't be expected to accept a dirty car. Jennifer then said she wasn't going to rent to me at all. I wish I could give negative stars. Don't rent from here unless you will accept a dirty car with God knows what kind of white stuff on the back seat. Enterprise: I am not interested in your standard, automatic reply of were sorry and email us if you need additional help. I had a rental scheduled through an insurance claim. I tried to call for the week leading up to the day of the reservation to confirm everything and no one would answer. I showed up on the scheduled day and the lone employee told me they didn't have any vehicles available. When I told him I had tried to call to confirm he said "I'm the only one that has been working, so I quit answering calls." Needless to say, I am stuck at the body shop waiting on enterprise corporate to shuttle me a vehicle from a location 30 minutes away. At least corporate was helpful. read more

Hit a parking curb and cracked the wind blade thing on bottom of car. They claimed the whole car had to be replaced and billed my insurance for full price of the car. Obnoxious staff and unclear policy makes for a waste of time. I reserved a car and was quoted double on arrival.

I was involved in an auto accident on 11/8/22 and was told a rental vehicle, specifically a pickup truck wouldn't be available until 11/15/22 at Enterprise Rent-a Car in Bastrop, Texas. Before that date, the agency called and said the vehicle would not be available until the 22nd of November. Before the 22nd, the agency again called and said the vehicle would be available at 2:30 PM on 11/28/22. On the 28th I drove the 30 miles to Bastrop, arriving at 2:30 PM to find that no vehicles were available, and four persons were waiting, and had been since before noon, for vehicles in an apparently first-come, first-served basis. I was told, not asked, to have a seat and I would be accommodated. I left to run errands with my wife, returning several times to the same situation. I was later told that a number of vehicles were being brought from the airport in Austin and I would get a pickup. As many as three or four vehicles arrived, none of them a pickup, and were doled out to folks who had been sitting on their hands since before noon. Around 4:30 PM I overheard an employee say that a few more vehicles would be forthcoming from the airport, but none of them a pickup and the business was slated to close at 5 PM. I left my name and phone number with an employee with the understanding I would be called immediately upon procurement of a pickup, and I left. I called Enterprise customer service, received an apology, was told that I would be compensated for my trouble, and was told a pickup had been located in Austin and would be delivered to Bastrop and the regional manager would call me within the hour to discuss my complaint. Didn't happen. I called customer service again on the 29th, received an apology, and was told the matter would be escalated and resolved and the regional manager would call me within the hour. Didn't happen. I called corporate customer service on the 30th, received an apology, and was told this would be immediately addressed, was being given to the 'escalation team,' and the regional manager would call me, but it had been inappropriate for anyone to say I'd get a call within a specific timeframe. No call was forthcoming. I called corporate customer service again on 12/1/22, got the requisite apology, which gets great gas mileage, and was told the matter was being escalated, and I would receive a call from the regional manager. It is now the second of December, and I have yet to secure a vehicle or to receive a call from these inept, unresponsive, mendacious pinheads. I have a farm to run, I need a pickup truck for hauling cattle feed, etc., and none of these sorry, yet apologetic jackasses could care less. This has been a tedious, frustrating, interminable experience, especially dealing with some persons on the phone for whom English seems to be a third language, and there is no resolution in sight. I have been without a vehicle for almost a month and regardless of the outcome, I will never use this sorry excuse for a car rental agency again. If a company is going to be in the business of renting cars, then they should damn well have adequate cars (or pickup trucks) to rent. If I wanted smoke blown up my butt, I would seek the old tobacco smoke enema. I wouldn't recommend this sorry, misnamed business to anyone for anything. read more

They decided to charge me for an extra 2 days, after I was originally told that those days would be waived. Tried arguing it but was told "the system wont backdate that far". Also, I ended up not even driving it most of the time I had it since the car smelled like cigarettes. Not a pleasant experience. read more

Be very wary of this location, call this location first to verify if they even have inventory . They will not honor online reservations and do not track the availability of their fleet. They also will not contact you in advance if they cannot honor reservations. They will leave you sitting on the curb. Poor customer service!! Have always rented from Enterprise and this time was another good experience. Our vehicle was available on time and staff was courteous. We were in and out for check in and check out within 10 minutes. Just a helpful hint if you are cost conscious: good idea to check the estimated mileage on the dash for the gas presently in the tank. You pick it up on a "full" tank and must return on a "full" tank however, the gauge stays in the full zone area for close to 100 miles on the small cars; so, you may be adding an extra 100 miles of gas in the tank compared to when you picked it up. That's when the estimated gas mileage available can be your best friend. read more

This Enterprise location creates their own policy with regards to the use of debit cards. If you don't live in the area and have access to a major credit card, don't bother. They have a STRICT 25 mile radius rule that will not allow you to use your debit card if you live outside this range. Corporate policy will allow you to do so with a utility bill, but since this location makes up their own rules, it is not allowed. I will be sure to avoid Enterprise at all costs in the future and will be sure to tell anyone I know the same. read more

We had reserved months ahead to rent a van for our Florida trip. When the day finally came to pick up the rental the staff gave us attitude and treated us as if they didn't want us to even rent a vehicle. They kept asking for unimportant info like an iD work badge? To show proof we were even employed! Then they kept saying how they were going to close soon and couldn't help us. After we searched for proof of employment and paperwork they ended up not needing it. Never will I rent a car here ever again or even waste my money here. If you want to rent a car in bastrop GO TO Lost Pines Toyota! They helped us quick and the process was so much easier and cheaper! This place is horrid when it comes to customer service. Mike is terrible with customers! I spent a good deal of time trying to communicate with Mike and he was consistently dismissive, distracted, and unwilling to answer any question with a sense of integrity. Mike hung up the phone twice on me and was quite unprofessional in his interactions with friend and myself. I was never disrespectful or rude to Mike but he was forwards me, over and over again. I would find another location or rental company, when in need of this type of service. I would never trust or use this place again. read more

Despite the negative comments other reviewers have posted, these folks here know how to provide the best service. With the leadership of Manager Mike Holland, himself and the team deserves praise for their great service. Not only are they super fast, but their attention to detail makes renting from this location a breeze. I travel for work and rent cars several times per month. This location delivers the fastest and friendliest service that I've ever been to. I would highly recommend these folks, and if there is ever a grievance of any kind, I am certain that the management team will go above and beyond to make it right. I provided feedback from a different location and Mr. Holland not only apologized for another location's mistake, but offered to make it right even though it was not their fault. We traveled from Texas to New Mexico over New Years. We rented a mid-size car, but had a couple of service light come on due to low tire pressure and another light that we weren't sure on. Instead of risking putting us on the road, Laura Rowan & her team quickly switched us to an upgraded Jeep since there were no other mid-size cars available. I have rented from this location twice. First time was right after a storm, so car was very dirty both inside and out. We had trouble with the car shaking while we were driving. Made it back safely. We rented again, giving the first experience the benefit of the doubt. Car was filthy. Looked like it was never cleaned between rentals. I expressed my concern upon returning and I was shrugged off. My husband and I had a great experience with this Enterprise location. My insurance company had called ahead to let them know we were coming, so when we walked in they were ready and waiting for us. They offered us a choice of two cars. The first one we looked at was a Ford Focus that was spotless both inside and out, so we just decided we'd go with that one. Once we made our choice we were quickly processed and on our way. We drove the car for 26 days while my truck was in the shop for repairs. In those 26 days, in addition to regular daily driving, we made a trip to Houston and back as well as a trip to Corpus Christi and back. We never had a bit of trouble with the car. It got great gas mileage and the ride was fairly comfortable considering the fact that we are used to driving a large pickup with a lot of leg space. We got our truck out of the shop so we returned the car. We were greeted and helped the minute we walked in the door. We returned the keys, they did a check to make sure the car was in good shape and approximately 5 minutes later we were out the door and on our way home. We couldn't have asked for better service or nicer people. If we are ever in need of another rental car we will return to this location. read more

Worst experience at an Enterprise I've ever had. At every other location I've been to, the employees have been wonderful and helpful, but at this location it was a total joke. I had a reservation at noon, and my vehicle wasn't ready until nearly 1:30. The employees knew we were on a tight schedule, and took over an hour to "clean out" the vehicle. The vehicle was a stock KIA minivan, and I was unable to switch it with a vehicle that met my needs better even though there were 2 Chrysler vans on the lot (we were driving for over 20 hours with small children and there was no DVD player, and we needed the seats to fold down to carry some cargo, Kia vans provide neither). One of the employees told me I could exchange it with a different vehicle at a different location, but then laughed out loud at me when I asked if she could call the other Enterprise locations ... nice customer service. I was just really let down by this location - both the regular employee and the manager on duty were a huge disappointment. read more
