I recently moved to bastrop tx from houston tx and i had 3 weeks to looks for a mechanic place because i noticed my car was going to need a repair soon so i went to rush automotive because they had the best reviews as would anyone. The sale rep was giving me a vibe making me rergret my decision so at the end of the day i was just oh well my car is here already and it wont turn on they call me 2 days later saying is going to be a total of $900 to relpace the starter. Has to have vehicle towed in on a Sunday, they have a key box, envelopes for you to put all your information and description of problems are and drop it in. 1st thing Monday morning I was getting a call. They were able to start checking everything out quickly but, my most epic gratitude for these guys is that they actually cared enough about the customer to call and update me quite often and as someone who's had many, many years of needing service work to vehicles, I've NEVER experienced anything so out of the ordinary that they would take time to do this. Kudos to your staff for always letting me know what was happening!! I returned for some follow up work that was needing attention. The guys are very helpful, let me know everything they found and allowed me to turn stuff down without any hassle or being pushy. In the end I got the major work done to make my little suv last into the future before I finally get my new ride. The shop is clean and even though I didn't hang out in the waiting area, it looked nice. Comfy looking chairs and tv. There's a drop box with forms and pens so you can leave your vehicle after hours which since I work evenings is nice. I can drop it off as I get home at 10pm and they call to let you know what's up the next day when it's been looked over. The shop is in a great spot if you want to walk around a little. I went to H-E-B and grabbed some things I needed. You can also get to Dunkin' Donuts/baskin Robbins in a minute if you're waiting. read more

I came in for a alignment I was recommended by discount tire, I knew that something was wrong with my truck after my previous mechanic had done some work on my front tires. Rush automotive detected the bolts were left so loose it was a serious road hazard. These guys are honest and really do great work, they go above and beyond to accommodate you. The place is clean, and everyone has such a great and helpful attitude it was such a breath of fresh air. My truck drives great, I won't go anywhere else. Recently had my truck's steering aligned by Rush. The appointment was convenient, they had my truck on the lift and were working on it within 15 minutes of my arrival. i paid $4300 for a used tranny from these folks. 4 months into this trnny the valve body needs replaced they took the valve body out of my old tranny & placed it in the tranny. couple months later was getting codes that pertained to dirty &/or low fluid. took it in & asked them to look at it & they said nothing is wrong. i only got 1 yr warranty with this $4300 tranny that now has my old parts in it! iasked Daniel that before my warranty was up would he change the fluid & filter since they had not before they put it in! you would think before anythng else they would at the very least do that! Daniel called & said my wagon was ready i go get it & they did nothing he said they was no reason to change the filter & fluid! i showed him the read outs i got from auto zone he said that was old codes that didnt pertain to this tranny! i wish i could show the pics of the car this tranny came from that cost them $100 looked like it was hit by a train, thats why the shaft was bent in the tranny Daniel. would not take my lawnmower to this place theyre all about screwing you over for the most they can get out of you! also they dont go by the book for what their supposed to charge a customer either!! this review is by William Hurlocker!!! read more

We went and picked up the car and took it to the mechanic who always treats us with respect and professionalism. I love this repair center! I've got a 2011 vehicle and it didn't pass inspection because of the parking brake! I couldn't believe it as RUSH just did brake jobs on the front and rear. I drove over to the repair center about five minutes after the failed inspection and Dave had it fixed in 2 minutes. Their service is amazing, professional and they know their vehicles. I had my car in to have a stud replaced. Discount Tires choose this shop. I go to pick up my car and Daryl tells me I need brakes on front and back. He said they were basically metal to metal and needed to be replaced right away. I get into my car and the inside of my drivers door was covered in grease. I went inside and said something. Daryl did come out and clean the grease up. He said the guy had be warned before about needing to be more careful. So I spend $100 to get new brake pads. Tear into the brakes and guess what. Every brake, all 4 of them, had more than half left. There is no way for someone to see metal to metal. I called and Daryl answered. I explained about the brakes. He says he didn't know why I was told that and a bunch of other excuses. I then pointed out he is the one that told me. He then raised his voice and said he was only repeating what that mechanic told him. Then he kept saying he was going to talk to Shane. Whoever Shane is. Maybe Shane can reimburse me my $100. read more
