Rental time was incorrect, was given car 1 hour after time given and car was filthy! Associates were not apologetic of waisting your valuable time and obviously no empathy was given either! This entire team needs to be replaced, from the manager to the associates! Should of read reviews before hand before experiencing this horrible service myself! This is a little late but better late then never! After getting hit by a drunk driver and dealing with the insurance company I was mentally and physically drained. I needed a rental car to go to work and school so I came to Enterprise. When I tell you they took care of me! Rene & Ferrell helped me through the worst point in my life and for that I'm forever grateful!!! When I received the rental car it was beautiful from the outside to the inside. It smelled like a new car. No problems and no worries; I am telling you I cried giving it back to the point I left my Drivers license at the store and my college parking pass in there and they assisted me even after giving the car back. I don't usually do reviews, but after seeing all these crazy person 1 star reviews, I felt the need to come in and give a real review. Most of these 1 stars appear to be people that either aren't familiar with the car rental process at all or are the "Karen" types that come in an give bad reviews, either because they weren't given special treatment (for no apparent reason, other than maybe because they complained that they weren't) or because they expect the staff to make up for their own incompetency/mistakes. It's a business and customer service is important, but they're not your au pair. Full disclosure, I rent from here through the company I work for, where we have a corporate deal with the rental company & I reserve through my company's portal, not from the rental company's. I'm probably prioritized above regular personal reservations, but also know my company isn't the only company they do this with (and my company is a large company that rents often, particularly in the area). 2 of the 3 times I've rented from here within the last 6 months, I've done so the day of (I pick the car up after work the day before I need it) and usually only rent for 1 day. I reserve it in the morning and just show up in the late afternoon, around the time I selected the reservation for. I've never had to wait very long to get my car, usually only just waiting for the people in front of me to get taken care of first, and every single staff member has always been nothing short of great in my experience. I've never had any issues with the vehicles, never had any disputes with the rental company. I even came by the afternoon after that tornado hit the area and STILL didn't have to wait for very long. I got a little lucky that their systems had just come back, but nonetheless it was impressive. My last rental was for yesterday (picked it up 2 days ago, dropped off yesterday afternoon), and Des did a great job and was very kind, both on pick-up and drop-off. read more

This is for the entire company! My daughter was in a wreck & we needed a rental car. The insurance company handling the claim said we had to use Enterprise. We even got a "priority pass" emailed to us from Enterprise (3 days after the wreck on a Saturday)! The app that we were prompted to fill out didn't work. The reservation line told us we could have a car the following Monday. The store front called us on Monday morning and said there wasn't a car available until Tuesday!! Poor communication between the reservation line, the actual store front and a crappie "priority pass" app! read more

Great service picking up. Somehow a garage opener, that was 100% left on the visor, was not found. I was told the visor was "cleaned" due to covid and must have fallen off. The vehicle was rented, So they were going to check with the current renter. They never got back to me. It is hard for me to believe that something I had to wedge on, and never came off while using the visor multiple times a day, just fell off. Either they found it and kept it, which worries me since my address was listed with them. Or they did not clean the visor and it is with the current renter. Thank you enterprise, for your lack of consideration in communication. Response to Enterprise- I emailed them with the co tract number and vehicle specifics after I called before closing the same day I dropped it off. I called at 5:50pm got put on hold until 6:15pm after listening to how Enterprise cleans every surface focus on on the most touched surfaces foe 25 minutes got an automated message saying the branch was unavailable because it was after normal bios I was hours. I definitely do not recommend this enterprise location (Garth Rd). They just don't answer the phone. Even other enterprise locations can't get a hold of them. I was just trying to swap out vehicles so I'm not stuck with getting the required oil change, fluid check and tire rotation, stuck with enterprise rent a car. They always say they will have a vehicle ready for you to swap out to just call back later! And of course what happens? You call and nobody answers!! They just flat out suck at this location. I'm tempted to go up the chain because I'm sure they don't know how poorly ran this enterprise location is managed. - Again this is the Enterprise on Garth Rd in Baytown just south of I-10. read more

Terrible experience and suspect happens often to unsuspecting travelers. My truck broke down in Baytown, Texas mandating a rental car. After getting cut off on the phone repeatedly. Got my car, turned it in and billed an additional 6 days. 97 calls to get it right; admitted error, yet nearly a month later not corrected. Crumby attitude after shameful conduct. Since a insurance company was paying; they thought no one would notice. My insurance company or Enterprise never made the switch from my credit card as my AAA covered the 1st day and towing. Admitted wrong, but no movement I was notified of. They notified my insurance company after I threatened to file a police report for theft. They probably never figured I would see the final bill, thinking it was going straight to the insurance company. Don't be duped by these unscrupulous, shameful scoundrels. I've been going to this location once a month for 7 months now. I usually make my reservations online a week before I need the car just in case. There is a $250 deposit, and you will need a credit card, your drivers license, and a copy of your car insurance. They do accept debit cards provided you have your drivers license, a utility bill in your name (the address on the bill must match the address on your license), a check stub or copy of your bank statement, and a copy of your car insurance. When I rent a car I travel 1,000 or more miles each time so I get the insurance they offer which is $19.99 a day, which is worth it in my opinion. With their insurance you could wrap the rental around a pole and not pay a single penny. I've never had to use it, but it's great to have. The employees there are always great and really helpful, and if you have a reservation you're usually in and out in less than 10 minutes depending on how busy they are. I've been in many cars from there and each time the cars have been clean to perfection, and in excellent condition. Honestly I can't think of a single thing I don't like about this location. Every time I've been there the experience was great and the employees are really helpful. I would recommend this location to anyone, and will definitely be back at this location if I need a rental. read more

I just rented a car here. First time. I'm actually giving 4.5 stars. I went there in person just to see the facility and to speak to the staff in person. The place looked sparse when I drove by the past few days, but they actually have more cars depending on the amount of reservations booked for the day --- I'm not sure if that's how all rental places work but when I needed my car to travel from Baytown to Houston International Airport (it's cheaper than a livery driver or a private car) THEY picked me up from where I lived and I finished the paperwork at their branch. The paperwork requires: 1) Driver's License 2) A CREDIT card (to place a hold of $350 just in case you decide to cause damages, but otherwise once you drop off the car at the airport, all you pay is the rental fee and the gas [depending on what deal you got]) The paperwork was less than 5 min, but that's because they gave me a heads up I was given information prior to arriving at their branch. I was well pleased with their professionalism and their service. I was wearing my regular clothes (I wear comfy clothes - you can just imagine) apart from my business clothes and I was greeted immediately by the manager Tony and his manager-in-training Stephen. Miranda was an associate but she helped me do the paperwork on the day of car pick-up. So because they didn't give me poor service because of what I looked and treated me well, when I finally showed up in my flight attire, the same EXCELLENT quality of service met me at the door. (Side note: I've done this experiment at Burberry and the woman that greeted me at the entrance was not very kind in helping me find the men's department at the back -- even at Nordstrom is the same thing. It's sad that customers are stereotyped by what they wear; NOT all customers are bad, NOT all sales associates are good) ******** I got a Toyota Camry and drove 35miles to HIA (who needs to get an expensive car? It's foolish to get something expensive unless it's required for an image when doing a business transaction with another company). The car was running on empty --- and it would have been helpful if they gave me a heads-up before I left the lot. Why? Because I bought $6.03 worth of gas, thinking "Oh great, I'm gonna miss my flight if this car decides to kick the bucket on me." Big mistake: the car made it with more than enough gas despite the amount I placed. I couldn't get reimbursement for the gas I spent (which is ok). So clearly, Enterprise knew what they were doing --- I really didn't need to get gas. ***** I would give them a full 5 stars but just because of the gas issue since I wasn't informed, I needed to reflect with my own experience. I had got picked up from enterprise the driver drove eradicated and dangerous to get me there. Once I arrived I was told i would have to wait because they didn't have a car available for me. So I waited over 3 hours to get a car. Finally when they do decide to pick up a car from another location it was the worst piece of junk i ever had to drive. Because of this problem the district manager said she would make it up to me by sending something in the mail to compensate me for the problems. I was told i would have something in my mail box in just a few days. Nothing ever came so I called and now they not answering back. This was my worst experience with enterprise. If you need a rental car look for another location as this one doesn't treat there customers with respect and are all lies. Also I got the rental car that was dirty and past due on the service. When i called about it they just said don't worry keep driving it. So when the car goes to enterprise sales you know the cars they sell are not good and not keep up to date on the service. read more

I usually use Enterprise in Clear Lake for my company and decide to use this location for vehicle switch out for employees, since it's closer. There was a problem, so I talked to them over the phone. I argued with who I believe is the branch manager for about 5-10 minutes, trying to tell him what the other Enterprise told me, but he would not back down! He was giving me such a hard time, so I hang up on him to call the other location. Apparently the other location was talking to him and this guy was giving them same crap. How hard is it to make some exceptions for customer??? I will not, again, WILL NOT use this location every again!!! No recommendation whatsoever. read more

This place is absolutely awesome, from great with customer service to honestly caring about the needs to the customer... Jayland called at 7:00am to confirm my pickup... Tho I wasn't ready due to my ID being expired he moved my reservation not only once but 2 times as well as called to make sure things were okay with my pick up and getting my ID from the DMV.. Steven Oh My goodness I don't no how to start.. If I could give this review a 100 I would because of Steven! This man was so helpful.. I'm going to make a long story short. From the start he greeted me upon my entry and was on getting me into my car and on the road.. He called Tuesday morning to make sure we were safe and everything was okay with the car and us being satisfied! Then to top it off we had a very rough trip and drove 34-40 hour's of a 48 hour trip, I'm pregnant and was told to be careful traveling. This was family emergency so I had to make the trip. So Tuesday night upon arriving home. We were beat and I was nervous about driving any farther due to being extremely restless and tired.. Rather safe then sorry in my eye's. So I sat my alarm clock for 6am to return the car before drop off time. Upon waking up at 3 in the afternoon. In a pannic I called Enterprise... Steven you are a blessing... Really THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH A GREAT EMPLOYEE TO ENTERPRISE! Blessed and be blessed.. Steven was very understanding as well as waved a few things due to our situation. Not because I asked either Steven truly takes his job serious and is very caring with customer needs and working with people.. Mind you I had already mentioned doing the review upon pick up due to being such a great experience. This review has absolutely nothing to do with him crediting me for the situation I was in. I was absolutely proud to say I done business with Enterprise Monday when leaving for my family emergency. Him being so helpful Wensday just put the icing on the cake. I decided to write this review as I had a good experience with the manager. I had to rent a car to get my vehicle fixed and got picked up at the body shop. I was waiting a while since my insurance company was taking forever to give me a number the rental company needed. The manager noticed I was there a while and told me to call back and see how much they paid out per day and he'll handle everything. By the time we were signing paperwork my insurance called so it worked out. He brought a car and I decided against it since it doesn't have Bluetooth and I waited another 20 minutes. (No biggie since I requested it.) The store manager helped me secure my son's car seat after he saw me struggling for a while, which was really nice. Fast forward to about 9-10 days later. I take my rental to the body shop my truck was at and they picked it up from there and would call me if there was any damages...yada...yada. I didn't think anything of it since I was very careful with the vehicle. I get a call about 6 hours later from the manager stating there was some damage and questioned me if I knew what happened? I was honest and told them I didn't know, but when I first got the vehicle he noted there was some damage on the vehicle but I wouldn't be liable for it since that's how they gave it to me. I'm a bit upset and looking for my paperwork on where he wrote there was damage. I explained to him again how I was very careful with the vehicle and wasn't aware of he damage. He stated he was going to file a claim and have their "accident department" contact me. We hung up and I was beating myself up on how and when this happened? I was trying to retrace everywhere I went, but couldn't think of anything. I get a call back about 5 minutes later which I missed it. I called back and stated who I was and he apologized to me as he realized that he made a mistake on the paperwork as putting damage on the opposite end on where it really was. I was so relieved but also very happy that he realized it was his mistake and owned up to it. That's the type of people we need to have in management. read more

Incredibly slow. Phone rang 3 times while I was being helped and she stopped my transaction each time to help the person on the phone instead of just finishing mine. She called out to different people in the room also at the same time she was helping me and she announced my name, address and birthday out loud in front of everybody! I love Enterprise on Garth! The staff is friendly and helpful. Book your reservation in advance! In response to Eric who stated "they had no cars for 6 people who were here with reservations".... those folks might have booked on-line the evening before. I have booked the night before online and they always call me in the morning to let me know they don't have anything right then, but they also work very hard to get me a car that day, just later in the afternoon.... so if you need the car first thing in the morning... book early! I'm also very picky, I don't like it if the car smells like cigarette smoke, my husband is a big guy so we always need a full size car... then last time we needed leg room in the back for teen-agers. They ALWAYS find a way to help! Even when our truck broke down unexpectedly on a Saturday, we were able to get a vehicle on Sunday. I do wish Enterprise would not make them work on Sunday, and I do wish people renting the cars would not smoke in them, you can never get the smell out. Customer service provided by Josh and Caleb at Garth Road location is top-notch! I have no personl relations to any employees with Enterprise, and I am not being paid for this review.
