They never have the car you reserve and they won't tell you till you are there to pick up. It's always something at this location I only go when I absolutely have to not because they have the best service. Came here for a loaner car as my car is in the body shop. Was driven to this location by Danny (summer intern) who was great and really professional. Once I got there, was met by Peter who is a manager in training and he made sure that I was in and out ASAP. Super friendly and very informative. I would recommend coming here for loaner car or rentals just because of the customer service Only thing I didn't like was that the interior of the car was a little dirty. The reservation online is a FALSE GURANTEE. I do not like to use the term "NEVER", but it applies to my situation. What is the purpose of reserving vehicles online in advance when I NEVER receive the vehicle I reserved? The funniest experience was not even receiving a SINGLE vehicle upon my arrival when I reserved a vehicle in advance. This is an act of the Scam Reduction Act. Customers are given false hope to enter the shop, hoping they can receive the vehicle they reserved and when the customers are notified that the vehicle they reserved is unavailing arrival, the customer has no choice but to rent another vehicle that may or may not be higher than the price of the reserved vehicle. When a vehicle is UNAVAILABLE, Enterprise DOES NOTIFY THE CUSTOMER through EMAIL instead, they make the customers take a trip to this location and choose accordingly to the vehicles that are still available. I purposely Ubered to this location to rent a vehicle, does the consultant think I would Uber to the other locations when all the Enterprise closed at noon on Saturdays? It gave me no choice! It's either I rent 1 vehicle or I have none! People schedule plans to rent a vehicle and Enterprise SCREWS up the plans by not guaranteeing the customer's reservation. read more

I was very impressed with everything from making the reservation to the vehicle I was given to the pickup and return process. I may rent a car once a year at most and this was by far my best experience with any company. I initially spoke to Emily at the office on 64 st in Bay Ridge and had a contact Nolan E from Enterprises corporate office who I also spoke with as he works closely for corporate rentals for the company I work for. Both were AWESOME and super accommodating offering more than I expected. I asked for a large, clean SUV, as I was driving from New York to Virginia Beach with seven people and luggage. I was picked up at my house and brought over to the office to sign the paperwork. I was given a brand new fully loaded Chevy Surburban with 30 miles on it. The rates were great, the vehicle was outstanding, and the paperwork was done in minutes for pick up and return. Everyone I dealt with in the office was extremely polite, accommodating to all the customers and pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend Enterprise and the Bay Ridge office on 64 street if you want a no hassle experience with outstanding customer service. Received a free upgrade to an SUV, and the staff was helpful and informative during pick up and drop off. I live locally and do not own a car as I embrace city living and fewer carbon emissions where possible. There are occasions where I cannot get around a car rentals such as weekend trips or work trips to suburban NJ location. Typically my partner will come down from CT, we rent at our local spot and go on our way. My partner has been complaining about the change in management to which I replied, you are overreacting. You need to build relationships. I am sure you will get to know the new staff and you will have a great experience with Enterprise again... yadda, yadda, yadda(for the Seinfeld fans). I could not have been more wrong. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was an Oriental man being berated by the manager Vidal. The customer's first language clearly was not English and Vidal was incredibly impatient with the customer who did not understand what was going on. The customer came in with a print out of a car confirmation Vidal did not want to honor because the man did not have an employee ID or paystub to show him. Vidal was making the most idiotic points because any company I have worked for does not put the company name on the fob ID card for security reasons. If I dropped my ID on the sidewalk, anyone could pick it up and swipe into my office. Most people are not open to showing their paychecks with private information (such as salary) to strangers and it will not always achieve what Vidal was trying to. Many companies have DBA, so the paycheck is in the name of the parent company and not in the name of the firm they work for. In my partner's case, when renting with company code, it is a code from the benefits provider and not the company itself; hence, a reason for different names. After 20 minutes of Vidal trying to embarrass this poor customer in front of all the people waiting on line, he said he'd rent him the car if he brought proof of employment upon return of the vehicle. Now it is our turn. My partner who rents from this location frequently has an out of state ID. This opened up a can of worms because even though it is from the tri-state area (CT renting in NY) and they have called it in multiple times this year, they have to call it in again. No one answered the phone for 30 minutes and we had to wait in the shack lobby while the staff remained on hold. Vidal was incredibly nasty about the process saying things like "these are the rules", etc. To which my reply was you should be a leader and suggest a process improvement to call in an ID 1x at the start of the year. Build out technology to keep track that they have been validated. Isn't customer service your number one priority? To be honest, I don't know what the purpose is, but an even better process should be put in place for tri-state IDs in general. Knowing that we are coming in to pick up a rental, Vidal should have been proactive and called in the drivers license for verification before we arrived. Overall a nasty, person whose calling in life is not dealing with the public. Fixing Vidal will take more than managerial training. My observation is the underlying issue is an ego problem. Give a smidge of authority to an insecure person who has no intelligence and no power on anything else in life: Vidal is a prime example of what you get. Bring Aurora back is what I say... but she was so amazing at her job. Simply a wonderful, accommodating, kindhearted person. She is probably off to bigger and better things. That is what happens when you have someone good. They often move on as they deserve. I am happy for her, but hope we can find a new Aurora at the Sunset Park location or we will be saying goodbye Enterprise as our patience is running out. read more

Had the rental car for one day. I go out to it this morning and it has a ticket on the wind shield. The rental had an expired inspection sticker. That is ridiculous. To make it worse, I drive back to the rental place to get another car. They said they don't have any other cars they can give me. My options are to wait there as they take the car into the shop to get it inspected, or I can take the car to the mechanic myself and have it inspected, which they said would be the quicker option. So I take my Enterprise rental car to the mechanic to get it inspected. This makes me an hour late for work. This is some crap. I shouldn't have to perform vehicle maintenance on a rental car. In addition it was raining and I had an infant with me. I should have known better than to rent from Enterprise. They didnt get one star because all of the employees were very nice. They gave me a car incredibly fast after i was rear ended but i highly suggest avoiding the Chevy Cobalt because a 6 foot tall person does not fit inside! I kid you not, i had to duck down inside. The mirrors are for a smaller person too so it might be best to avoid. I also got a flat on it after just two days, but the blame for that goes to the dreaded BQE, which i despise more than the snow falling outside right now! After reporting the flat the insurance took care of the costs incurred with towing (ALWAYS get insurance when renting), so no harm done! The staff at Enterprise is good and they will lay out all the fees upfront so there are no surprises. They have to be the leader in rental cars in the country because i see them everywhere now! Outrageous- received a phone call at 8am on a Saturday telling me that they could not honor my reservation for later that day- because I made it within 48 hours of the time I would be picking up and those reservations could not be guaranteed?? I spent the next two hours bouncing between different local Enterprise locations and the main phone number. Received THE WORST customer service - including from an agent who lied to me and when I asked why he lied told me "I have a room full of people in front of me". After two hours I finally gave up and rented from another company, which was inconvenient to my location but easy. Shocked at how I was treated by Enterprise.. have been using them for 20 years and never had an issue like this. read more

I had a very good experience at this Enterprise location, although when I arrived to pick up my car (on a Saturday morning) it was crazy busy and all the cars were out. When the car I reserved wasn't returned within half an hour, I was offered and took a free upgrade to a Jeep Patriot. The Jeep was cleaned out and washed before I took it. The gas tank was full. I ended up being at the rental office for about 45 minutes, but the staff was really nice and very courteous to me and the dozen or so other people waiting on vehicles. My chief complaint is that the office isn't open on Sundays, forcing customers to pay for an extra day if they need a car past noon on Saturday. read more

Chrissy W provided excellent, above expected service. We took our car into the dealership for repair and they set us up with a rental from Enterprise. The arrangement was smooth. A clean vehicle picked us up from the dealership in a timely fashion. The driver was polite, was wearing his mask and saw that we were tired so he did not try to engage us in conversation. We received our rental and was on our way. The next day there was a minor hiccup from the dealership. I was worried, confused and tired from my Chemo/Radiation therapy. I called Enterprise and Chrissy was able to sort out the problem, in less than 3 minutes. I had not told her of my personal health issue, so it was not as if she was helping because of that, she was just offering the highest level customer service, regardless of who, what or why. Update: I have yet to hear back from the regional manager at Enterprise after this location and manager, Courtney Watson, committed fraud against me. This company is underhanded and unprofessional. I will be escalating the matter as I demand to be refunded for the wrongful and unauthorized transaction. After renting here religiously for over a year spending a few thousand along the way for my small business, I am no longer returning to this location if not Enterprise on a whole. On Monday October 15, 2018, I rented a cargo van from this location. I was disappointed with the quality of the vehicle. It was a mess with animal fur/hair. Given that I am allergic to all animals, I suffered an allergic reaction before realizing the issue and paying for an interior cleaning at a local car wash. This is something Enterprise and their employees should have inspected and done themselves prior to renting the vehicle. On top of this, after returning the vehicle and having to stand through the usual rate confusion upon checkout. The manager Courtney Watson tried to overcharge me for my rental by $300 plus dollars. I then returned the key to her by resting it on the counter. She never asked for the key or completed the proper vehicle inspection post rental. I had to mention the keys. Two days later I see a charge of $275 withdrawn from my account. I call them to express confusion and was told that I was charged for a lost key. So they basically lost the key internally and charged me $275 because the keys were returned to them, my rental was closed out and I was given a receipt. The first thought that these crooks had was to run my card $275 because they feel they can get away with it after being incompetent. They did not even realize that they could not find the keys until the following day after the vehicle was returned three hours prior to their closing time the day before. This is proof of their level of laziness and incompetence. I contacted my bank and red flagged the charge as fraud. I will fight to get my money back. I will not be returning. The irony is that I planned to rent again early next week despite the filthy vehicle as this is the most convenient cargo van rental to our largest business location but after they ripped me off, they have now permanently lost a good customer. We recently needed a one-way rental to Florida over the 4th of July weekend. When I went on-line or called, every car rental company was booked. Enterprise of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn came through for me. Big time. Before the weekend, I went down in person to see if they could help me. Carlos was very knowledgable. He and his colleagues had the information I needed to hear and me secure a vehicle. We couldn't have asked for better service, when we showed up on July 1st and were helped by Torri. She was super friendly and knowledgeable and efficient. When we asked for a bigger car, she went out on the lot and made sure another one fit the specs for a one-way rental. She found one and we couldn't have been more pleased. while i left my car at an auto repair shop where Geico asked me if i would need a rental car. once i said yes within 4 minutes a rep from this location called me and offered me a ride. within another 10 minutes i was picked up and brought to their location, within another 10 or 15 mins later i already had the keys to a vehicle ready to use. the staff was friendly, attentive and not pushy. when i returned the vehicle it only took 2 minutes to process and get my return receipt. then they offered me a ride again to my body shop to pick up my car. service like this in tough mean new york is hard to find. this place is aces. read more

I really enjoyed my rental experience in this location because the staff were really helpful and friendly. And also, they offered multiple car make options. I went to return the vehicle the second morning. I had thought they would surcharge me for extra day, but it turn out that they didn't. In addition, it said the operation hours on Saturday started from 9am, but return could be done earlier. And sadly, these policies make customer service reps incapable of providing good service and thinking on their feet of ways to make customers happy. It's worth spending more on zipcar. This is about Enterprise on 64th street bay ridge Brooklyn !Horrible service ,threatening customers.I have rented a vehicle paid every single week for the last 5 weeks and have been told at least once a week that they are calling the nypd for unlawful use of their vehicle . Every week the price has gone up for an economy car my deposit had vanished and now informed to pay a supposed balance of 621.00 for 5 days and if I still need this car another 500.00 deposit . I find it odd when last Wednesday I paid 500.00 here it is tues u are extorting 621.00 and this Thursday another 500.00 ! I'm calling the better business bureau see if this is legal . Here's proof of what disgusting people at this place do to their customers . "Y+1 (917) 939-8070 your rental is being reported to NYPD for unauthorized use You need to come in with the car and deposits by 6 pm today." Do u think this is somewhere u would want to rent from?
