This is the local place for central Brooklyn rentals, and it's walkable from the F and B/Q subways (as well as the B68 bus if that ever materializes). Friendly, competent staff who don't oversell, who really care about service and are enthusiastic about cars. I wish I could give less than a 1 star rating. Horrible manager. Terrible customer service and it was just the worst experience ever renting a car. The manager was extremely rude and unfriendly. I didn't get her name but a very heavyset lady with a bad attitude. We had the car for not even 2 days while ours was in the shop and it was barely driven. upon return she said "oh it looks like the bottom of the back bumper has been glued back on" we actually laughed at how freaking ridiculous that was. She said it was underneath because I didn't see any cracks or glue and she didn't even bend down to look so how she came up with that conclusion is baffling. Total scam! When we called our insurance company they said they've had multiple complaints from that location and numerous bad experiences. The smelly waiting area is like 2 dirty chairs. Everyone there was miserable except for one guy who was moving cars. All the people waiting were pissed off and complaining about how slow everything was taking and how mean the employees were. Rude. Charged me for insurance I didn't ask. scam location. Horrible manager. I had to deal with a few rentals and few diffrent locations of Enterprise. This location is absolute the worst, and you should not go there even if you are close by. First, the added insurance that i never asked or approved that cost me a fortune. Then he charged me the highest price for the upgrade double of any other branch. When i called to find out the status of my insurance coverage the manager slammed the phone in my face saying his too busy for me. Finally when I called to report the status he made up a story saying he was a witness that I approved the insurance meanwhile he was in his office the whole time. I am left with over a $1000 bill that I will have to now to report to entrprise, BBB and anyone else that can put an end to this. Although i had a bad experience with this place in the past, i thought i should give it an other chance. They definitely changed their altitude (and some of their representatives). They showed me the options, told me the prices, and even gave me a little upgrade. The most important part for me was the end: When i returned my car, they charged me exactly the price we agreed on (they always used to over charge me in the past). This place is not easy to get to on the weekends as Q trains can be quite unreliable . It's ironic that I almost need a car to rent a car. Fail. If you need to rent a car on the weekend, it's okay. It's less than ZipCar if you only need it several times a year. But them not being open past 6pm weeknights, noon on weekend, and not at all Sunday makes it rather inconvenient and stressful when you don't know what kind of crazy New York traffic you might run into and you're racing the clock. Totally not what I expected in term of service. They are actually human here and at no time did I feel they were trying to advantage of me (trying to up sell is a different story), even when I realized my car was missing a hub cap! (They still make those..) I was preparing for the worst: Charge for damage, deposit not to be refunded, overcharge for a $40 valued hub cap, etc. I was even planning on going to Nissan to purchase one just incase. Instead, Val assured me it wasn't a big deal and not to worry. And I did not have to! Limited car choices as the venue is small, but I did not mind since I am not the type to want to drive a nice rental just incase people think I own it. Dropped the car off and went about my business! Great customer service is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of this Enterprise location. From Jimmy (the Branch manager) to everybody else (Rob, Ann-Marie, etc) they are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Even when it takes several calls to the insurance company to get things figured out they have a smile on their faces. I've used this location several times over the last few years. This last time I was renting a car while one of our cars was in the shop and we had a few issues with the insurance both at drop off and pick up. These were not their fault (or even really the insurer's fault - just the situation) but they really went out of their way to help us resolve the issue. After about a week or so I discovered that one of the back windows wasn't operating properly and they promptly replaced the car with another. Some reviewers have taken issue with the branch's hours, and I have to agree with them. I appreciate the early opening hours, but closing at 6 pm during the work week and not being open on Sundays really puts a crimp in the convenience. I still give it 5 stars b/c of the service and my general satisfaction with their vehicles. read more

We were late for our pickup and the staff were accommodating in getting us a replacement vehicle. We did end up having to wait about an hour for the new car, but it was acceptable given the circumstances. When we did receive the car, I didn't realize until we had left the lot that the driver's seat back adjustment arm wasn't working. When I returned the vehicle, I alerted the staff to the seat not working. The gentleman at the Enterprise location offered me $10 off without even asking. This is my first Yelp review. Enterprise on Coney Island inspired me to write it. I've rented from them a few times and have always been satisfied. Good customer service. Friendly, fast. They will pick you up at home to pick up the rental and drive you back home when you're finished. The cars are clean and in good working order. I've never had and car trouble. The last time I rented I called the day before to see if I could pick up the car two hours ahead of my reservation. They let me do this with no extra charge. I've had stressful experiences at other car rental places, but this place has always been stress free for me. I'm very happy to have this place in my neighborhood. I rented from this location twice in 2008, both crazy times for rentals-- Thanksgiving and Christmas. And both times, I couldn't believe the stellar service I received. First of all, the Enterprise "pick you up" policy rocks. So unbelievably helpful to not have to figure out how you're going to get yourself, your dog and all of your stuff to the location. Every single person I met there was genuinely friendly and helpful for everything I needed and asked about. They didn't pressure me into signing up for the insurance like most places do, and upgraded for free me both times because they had a better car available. On the Christmas rental, there was a delay in getting me a car-- about an hour and a half, because people hadn't returned the cars on time. I was able to wait at home, though, and they called me when there was a car ready for me, because I'd called for a pick-up ahead of time. The level of service I received totally made up for the delay, I have to say. I finally asked one of the guys why they were so *nice* to everyone all the time, if the company put something in the morning coffee or what. He laughed and said, "No, it's just a great place to work, and a good company to work for. They treat us well and it makes it easy to do our jobs well." Amen! When I returned the car with just under a full tank, the staff were kind enough to waive any fees associated with not returning on a full tank. They even drove me back home! Picked up my first car rental from this location today. The staff there is so helpful and extremely pleasant. They have a can-do attitude and seem to really enjoy their job. I reserved a compact car and drove out of the lot. Within a few blocks I realized that this was too small for me and that I did not feel safe in it. I returned to the enterprise location and Alex the manager gladly agreed to give me a larger car. I did have to wait about 20 minutes because the car was coming from another enterprise location. But I made small talk with some of the other customers and staff. Alex made it easy to swap the two cars with no additional paperwork. Totally professional dude and super nice. Also, a big shout out for Hasib, the enterprise associate who helped me when I arrived and who checked me out with the car. Totally positive experience. I am giving this place a 4 star rating because of the hours & no rewards program. Pros: Hampton who works in customer service gets a 5 star rating from me. He is all about service & is the reason why I would go back to Enterprise. He has a great attitude & you get treated like gold. Another great feature that sets Enterprise apart is the pick up/drop off service. If you need a ride to their office & then a ride home, they will provide it. This is a great value add in my opinion & no one else does it. Also, I find the prices to be great & the cars to be clean & well cared for. Now for a few cons: This place has really strange hours-closes at 12 on Sat & is closed all day Sunday. That forces you to keep the car longer than you really need to and pay for an extra day in some cases. If you only need it for a weekend trip, you are stuck paying for it until Monday. Also, for those that work returning a car first thing Monday is not really feasible & the fact that they close early just doesn't make it easy. Another drawback is that they don't participate in any mileage or frequent renter programs. They say that this is in the works though. Have rented here a few times and as an Enterprise Plus member, I have never driven worse conditioned vehicles. On 2 different occasions, 2 years apart, I was given vehicles that were unsafe to drive, beyond unkempt (popcorn in between the seats, sticky glove compartment handles, dirt-clad backseats. And on top of that, one car I was given went off the road from a dented wheel well causing horrific alignment issues. The last time I rented a car for 5 days (over four hundred dollars in total costs) the alignment was also off and we had to get a replacement. They have ruined multiple work trips and vacations. I am completely avoiding this place at all costs and it is beyond tragic they are still operating. Avoid! read more

The people at Enterprise Midwood were the most fantastic, helpful, pleasant people. I picked up a car the day before thanksgiving (a particularly busy day). Everything went perfectly smoothly. I waited about 10 minutes for my car, which was brand new and an upgrade from what I had reserved. I was out of there in less than a half hour. Everyone was friendly and attentive AND they served coffee and donuts. seriously! Drop off was equally smooth and quick. I would absolutely go back here for any car rental in the future. Unrelated to this office, I did get a flat tire when I arrived at my destination and Enterprise was quick to respond with a replacement car. Very satisfied with this company all around. read more
