This location has been my go-to for rental cars for years. The staff is always friendly, professional and courteous. And the pickup/drop-off service is worth its weight in gold. They have their own huge parking lot and super convenient location right by 101. Model selection is always good too because they bring vehicles from other locations to accommodate you if necessary. During my most recent rental I had an issue that was promptly and thoroughly addressed by Ashley, the Branch Manager who is exceptional! I had a terrible experience with Enterprise Car Rental. My insurance was covering the cost of the rental, but Enterprise employees intentionally upsold me to a higher-rate vehicle without clearly explaining that it would cost extra out of pocket. They made it seem like a standard upgrade--only to later charge me more. This practice is duplicitous, dishonest, and unethical. Enterprise should be ashamed of these shady tactics. When someone is dealing with an insurance claim, they should be treated with transparency--not taken advantage of. The employees I dealt with were manipulative and misleading, and it's clear this kind of upselling is part of their business model. Never renting from Enterprise again. Customers--beware. She had to get a rental due to car accident, which was paid by the other party's insurance. My mom claimed to not get insurance and it wasn't until she saw the charges on her credit card statement and when she asked for a copy of the contract, it was OBVIOUSLY FAKE initials?? Who signs with initials? This is a legal action for forging! When my mom asked to speak to a manager, they refused to connect her with one and said would contact her, which they NEVER did! They tried to blame my mom and say that the contract was from the previous month and they had already submitted billings and cannot fix. THAT IS THEIR PROBLEM! What kind of lame excuse is that?! Awful business. Their branch manager Ashley Massell and her team forged my mother-in-law's signature and charged her credit card without authorization for the optional car rental insurance. Ashley was utterly useless when confronted by my MIL -- she refused to connect my MIL to a supervisor or anyone who can remedy the situation. Pretty atrocious that this business would take advantage of someone who is renting a car from them as a result of a car accident. Thankfully my MIL was able dispute the charge as fraudulent directly with her bank, but what kind of an operation does this? From the moment I walked in, the energy was positive and welcoming. Ashley and Aiden (check spelling) in particular, stood out with their exceptional customer service. They were not only friendly, but extremely helpful and accommodating and they genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs (which seems rare nowadays) making my entire rental process smooth and enjoyable. I was able to get down there on my lunch break and get out with about 30 mins to spare for lunch. I made a walk in reservation for a Chrysler Pacifica today on 10/16/2024 Wednesday at 1600 hours at Enterprise Burlingame CA. Dan Dempsey was the individual that helped me and processed my reservation. Everything was paid for including the deposit hold of $300.00 on my debit card. After 15-30 minutes of the driving the vehicle i received a call from Dan Dempsey stating that he didn't notice my driver's license was an out of state license and the processed debit card is against their policy. I was not aware that having an out of state license is not suitable for a debit card payment. Dan Dempsey accepted and approved my debit card payment and the payment was instantly taken out of my debit card. I went back to return the vehicle with my wife. The manager Adrian DeRose was giving me and my wife an attitude regarding the policy. It wasn't about the policy it was when my card was charged and when will the funds be deposited to my bank account. He stated on the call that the funds would instantly be deposited to my account. Adrian DeRosse was giving me attitude and could not compensate me from the time that was wasted during the process and after the process. Adrian Kept insisting that it was my fault and not his employee's fault. They should have checked my Driver's license first, before approving any payments being made. Now, i was told a different thing by Adrian that the funds would be available in 24 - 48 hours. He is aware that i flew here to CA to celebrate my wife and i's Wedding anniversary. Now i am short on funds due to this issue that this enterprise location caused. My wife and i are extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the service and attitude coming from the Manager. Adrian was giving a death stare while trying to fix the issue. Meanwhile my wife and i was doing are best to still deliver a positive communication. She straight up lied to my face more than once about what I was going to be charged for the damage waiver. I asked her point blank period twice, if the charge was per day or for the entire time I had the car and she said it was x amount for the entire duration I had the car. When I went to drop off the car, I noticed the pending charges on my credit card, (one for the deposit and one for the damage waiver) and she told me I was going to be refunded so the only charge was the amount she initially told me. Was not refunded. I tried calling to speak to her. They said she was busy, couldn't come to the phone but would call me back. Never returned my call. Surprise surprise. This is not even a sales strategy at this point, it's just a scam. Do not trust them. read more

I had the single worst customer experience of my life while renting at this location. I have given this location a lot of business, renting from them every week for over a year. I never had any trouble until three weeks ago. I am a member of Enterprises rewards program and had accumulated a lot of points. I booked a rental with this branch with the intention of using them. I booked using the Enterprise app and thought I booked using my points. I had my wife drop me at the rental location Saturday morning and she drove off with our kids. There is no easy way to get to this location without a car. I went to the counter and was helped by a management trainee named Jude Doyle. He let me know that there was a rental fee at which point I said that I wanted to use my points for this rental. He told me that had to be done through the app and that I would have to rebook. Irritated I said I did book through the app and asked if he could help me use my points. He told me there was nothing he could do and that I had to rebook. Frustrated I asked if he could help me with that and he said no because he didn't like the tone of my voice. That irritated me more and I brought up that I have rented here for over a year and never had a problem . I then asked him again, if he could please show me how to use the app to do this, and I placed my phone done on the counter in front of him, explaining that I didn't understand where I went wrong with booking my rental. He again refused help and then told me that he wouldn't rent to me because if my tone and asked me to leave. I admit I was frustrated with his service but I never raised my voice nor did I impolite language. I was shocked and visibly shaken by this. It was humiliating. He then had the nerve to site my shaking as another reason he would not rent to me that day. I told him I had no transport and was effectively stranded. I pleaded for him to rent me a car or at the very least call me a car to take me home. He refused , showed no concern that I had no transport home, and as I left gave me a "bye, bye" wave. I ultimately had to call a car and pay for a ride home. I contacted his manager' Ashly, whom I have had many dealings with over the year and she has not responded to my attempts to contact her over the incident. I contacted her 3 times by message over the course of one week. I have yet to have a reply and have decided she is stonewalling for reasons that are not clear to me. I filed a complaint with corporate and was told they were investigating and it would take some time. I was given 1500 pts by the customer service rep I filed my complaint with. The max she was authorized to do. I felt listened to and it was clear she sympathized with my story. I appreciate the 1500pts but that doesn't seem like enough that I feel satisfied that Enterprise stands by its brand and its statement that it puts the customer first. I was literally treated like garbage by this company's representative, tossed out on the street without concern and if it were my business I would be outrage by this, especially to a customer that had brought so much repeat business. read more

Due to my 2-yr old I was 12 mins late on a Saturday to pick up the car and they closed at 1pm. I called 4 times while on the way to see if someone could help but no way to get through to the desk. When I reached the entrance the employee said sorry they are closed and nothing he could do. But it was the disinterested, impersonal way he addressed me that was most bothersome and he had no explanation why the desk was unreachable. I'm a frequent Enterprise customer but this time went through Priceline and had to pay up. BEWARE! Don't use Burlingame Enterprise. If you had to deal with the manager Ashley Massell, sorry for your experience. She is the worse manager ever. She cancelled our rental 2 weeks before we were planned to leave. The excuse is that there was another renter that needed the same week and they need it for 2 weeks instead of our 10 days. I guess they look at it as more money! Unacceptable. I wish I could link our conversation because at that point, she was making excuse after excuse why we were being cancelled. First she said their website doesn't update availability....WTH? I guess they overbook just like the airlines. The only difference with the airlines and Enterprise is that at least the airlines will compensate you when you are bumped off a flight. Enterprise just gives you their 'sorry for the inconvenience we may have caused" excuse. No compensation for the headache trying to find another rental at the last minute. We had already pre-paid thousands of dollars for hotels and other fees for which we were traveling. I see others have complained about her, but yet there she is.....still there. I don't know why they keep her. A real good, customer service based business would have fired her. Enterprise is digging from the bottom of the barrel when they promoted this incompetent manager. She needs to go....or they need to update their website to update rental availability for customers. Since the latter is unlikely, she needs to go. I feel sorry for her coworkers. The employees at this location helped me battle Geico to get a comparable car... when Geico stopped they gave me an upgrade to an electric car. Everyone here was super friendly and helpful! I bought a New Car in November and was rear ended a week later. With only 300 miles on my brand new 2023 Genesis!! Needless to say, I was devastated... I had a feeling I wouldn't see my car for a very long time. Insurance claims are never easy. On December 6th I was sent by Metro Mile insurance to this Enterprise, and couldn't have been happier with my experience. They gave me a few different car options and I went with the BMW 5 series. The Manager Eric and his associate went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my loaner and back on the road swiftly. As time passed Eric would call me personally to let me know both what the body shop was quoting for time to completion, as well as the status of my rental. He personally would call the insurance company to help me get extensions. This was huge and I know because I was calling them and would would for up to an hour a few times. All in all I had the rental for 3 months. I'm glad to have my car back but this enterprise and working with Eric really was the "look at the bright side" To a bad situation HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

This 778 Burlingame location Enterprise rental was very dishonest. The guy reserved a car for me online for $78 a day, but I went there riding a uber. Then he gave me a big car for $156.
