I am a long time automotive professional. I've been involved in turning automobile lemons into lemonade for a very long time. It's only natural I'd interact with any and all rental car agencies in the Bay Area. Over the years I've worked with Enterprise on both the corporate and branch levels. It's a family owned business and it's a people business long before the subject of the cars comes up. They do business ethically. They treat people courteously. Both clients AND business partners. They do a phenomenal job of communication and they excel at setting expectations and then exceeding them! It's a very hard job. The branches are used to promote staff from within which can lead to a challenge in turnover as Enterprise tends to hire young , intelligent "go getters". This can mean building a relationship only to see it change when a new eager young face comes in. That has been a 20 plus year observation of mine. I build and grow a relationship with an office full of happy young folks that help me operate and function only to watch them move on in their lives. This leads me to the reason for this specific review. That reason is Miss Helen at the San Bruno Branch. I remember the standard Enterprise changing of the guard ceremony where I met Miss Helen. Enterprise has a standard procedure. Departing manager comes and brings the fresh new manager for a meet n greet. This sounds simple. Sounds like common sense. Sounds "like a good idea .." and it is. But I'll tell you. No other company consistently does anything like this. So anyway. Miss Helen was full of enthusiasm and had a genuine demeanor about her as she committed to a fruitful and pleasant working relationship with me and my clients. I've had probably 20 of these meet ups over the years and knew to expect a learning curve. But I got the feeling it'd go well. And it has. Miss Helen will always take my calls and always address my clients concerns or needs as if she was helping her own family. As do all of her staff. It's clear to me that her management style is both effective and infectious. She proves an age old business adage I live by. "You can light a fire under someone and you may get results; light that fire IN THEM and you will get results !" I see it in the tone and feel of the current San Bruno Branch and it's something that's really rad to see in the current state of the world. A mixed bag of young people all working hard to better themselves and their branch while delivering their company promise of "We'll pick you up!" With a smile and some genuine effort and sincerity. In my humble (albeit wordy ) opinion. Miss Helen is an asset that built a team capable of handling anything. Give em a crack at global warming ! This is the second time I rented a car from this location. The first time was when I had my 2001 Ford Mustang in the shop. More recently, my car was totaled so my insurance paid for the rental while they made a determination as to the disposition of my vehicle. For my needs I thought a car on the small to mid-size was adequate, so I chose a 2025 Toyota Camry. From the time I stepped foot inside the door till the time I returned the rental 10 days later, I was treated with kindness and respect by all the staff. They made the rental process easy, the facility was clean and welcoming. I was provided with a quick overview of the Toyota Camry which is so different than my 20 plus year-old car. I was also provided with regular email and text updates on the status of the rental. When it came time to return the rental, I planned on taking an Uber since no one was available to take me to Enterprise. As I was making an Uber reservation, the manager, Helen, offered to give me a ride home. Wow. I did not expect that. I thought what a nice gesture. I want to give a shout out to Helen for her knowledge and expertise, Igor, Nathan and the young man (I cannot recall his name) that patiently showed me all the bells and whistles on the Toyota Camry. I would not hesitate to recommend Enterprise Rent-A-Car if you need to rent a car. Tip. If you are there to rent a car due to an accident, I recommend you have the location and contact information of the location where your insurance company plans on towing your vehicle. The default rental for my insurance is three to four days, so in order to avoid being billed to your personal account if the rental is extended beyond that time, you need to provide this information to Enterprise when you rent the car. read more

This place is seriously about customer service. Every person I interacted with, was helpful, friendly, and in a great mood. It's hard to get good service nowadays, and I can't say enough about the great customer service here. Prior to showing up, I had talked to them on the phone. When I arrived, they had all my stuff ready to go. I don't even know if I was there 15 minutes to be honest. The truck was being washed, I jumped in and I was gone. If you wanna avoid the mess at SFO, seriously, consider calling these guys up. If you're coming in, keep in mind, there is no parking on the street and don't pull in. Got into an accident a couple months ago, and when I got to the auto body shop, Enterprise sent a shuttle to pick me up. The whole process of renting one of their cars was very smooth and quick. Helen picked me up and had very friendly conversation. Reanne was very helpful and kind and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed including a shuttle back to my car when I returned the rental. I called a few times with questions and Jayden was very helpful and patient and didn't sound bothered at all to help. Overall it was a very refreshing experience. Helen helped me with setting up my car rental. She was amazing. When I spoke to her over the phone I asked her about how long it would take as I'd be picking up my car on my lunch hour since I usually get off late. She said it can take a while just because of availability which is totally understandable. She knew I would be on my lunch and she worked her magic. I got picked up from the auto body shop FAST (probably 5 mins or less after they were contacted) and once I got to enterprise, I was in and out of there QUICK so I was able to make it back to work on time. It was really convenient that enterprise was able to pick me up from the auto body shop and also that i was able to just leave my rental at the auto body shop. The San Bruno Enterprise IMO consistently delivers high quality service. Last year, after a minor collision, the other party's insurance arranged for a rental at this location. From the time I picked up my rental to the drop off, I was impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff -- in particular, Jarret who helped me. At the time of my pick up, there were a few clients that Jarret was juggling, yet he still had my paperwork processed and had me driving out of the lot in less than 15 minutes. I also appreciated that when I returned the rental, they offered to give me a ride to the body shop to pick up my car, saving me a Lyft expense. Months later, while the engine on my Hyundai was being replaced, I again rented a car here and again found the staff to be friendly and the experience as a whole to be seamless. Idk why the rating here is so low. This is ONE OF THE BEST ENTERPRISE'S out here in the Bay! It's a small branch but they have a decent amount of cars available after 2pm. Associate Coleen and branch manager Jon Guererro helped me out. They were really approachable, friendly, and knowledgeable. My insurance Allstate took a long time to process my claim. I didn't get a reservation number on the day I got the rental car and I needed a car asap to get to work. Coleen helped me out a lot. I don't like leaving a bad review, but people need to know what they're getting into when renting from this Enterprise location. My car was taken into a body shop to get some work done and I needed a rental and came across this Enterprise. During the visit, I was talked into renting a Tesla Model 3 because of unlimited miles but most importantly UNLIMITED SUPERCHARRGING AT NO COST TO ME. In my mind that was a no brainer. I even confirmed with the representative multiple times before signing any paperwork that I will not be responsible for any supercharging costs. He reassures me, and I got the car on 4/29/24. Everything with the Model 3 was good and I returned it on 5/16/24 and got charged what was expected. Excellent! Fast forward to 6/12/24, and I get billed from Enterprise an additional $208.88. I called the Enterprise location and asked what that charge was. The manager told me it was for all the supercharging during my rental. HUH?! I explained to her that I was told supercharging would be at no cost for me and that's the only reason I even rented the Tesla. She told me they had a policy change during my rental period, and that I am responsible for those charging costs... Very deceitful business. I would not recommend renting from this location but if you do, make sure you get everything in writing and have the employees or managers sign it. read more

The challenge is that they do not manage their small lot and the customers are stuck in their cars out on busy San Bruno Ave. If a staff member directed the cars when they were being returned to park parallel to each other and to pull forward, it would improve the situation. So booked a reservation online. Thought enterprise picks you up(5minute drive). Not at this location. Called at 4.19, 4.52 was told the drivers were on their way. Yes had to uber/lyft. What made my experience even worse was my car was now sold out. But at least there were cars to rent. So ended up paying 20dollars more. This is a business model. It's tough to work in customer service have to handle calls and process reservations with an ipad. There were only two reps at the time. Won't be surprised if my review is censored. Good customer service is measured when things are going wrong, not when they are going perfectly. Long story short, we had rented from National (Same company) at the Oakland Airport. Our car got broken in to and we needed a replacement. National did not have cars at either OAK or SFO and, instead, sent us to this Enterprise location. I showed up on a Saturday morning at opening and these guys were MORE than accommodating. Now, this is a teeny lot and they have their own customers to take care of and still, somehow managed to get me in to another vehicle (we needed a larger size for our part) AND take care of the other 5+ National customers coming in with broken windows. (In case you didn't know, San Francisco is having a huge smash and grab problem right now). Super impressed with the service I received, the niceness of the folks that had to "deal" with me, and the quick timeframe they were able to get me in and out and back on vacation. read more

My insurance adjuster was not helpful at all but lucky Shilpa and her team (Jon, Kai, Vircel and Adrew) at Enterprise car rental was very helpful and friendly.
