Rented a car here since my car was in a accident (not at fault) Called in and they didn't have the correct reservation number, I had to get GEICO on a 3 way call just to make sure it was correct and the car that was going to be provided was a mid size suv since that is what I drive normally. Picked up the car, they didn't go over any additional coverage options.... The last day I needed the car the tire went flat, I called and spoke to Helen who was completely rude and lacked compassion, she told me additional coverage should've been offered to me and that I would need my coverage to change the flat to spare. I had my insurance change it. I called enterprise corporate to tell them about my experience... (spoke with someone from another country) they told me they would inform the location I would bring it back with quarter tank of gas and not full due to the inconvenience... dropped off the car and a gentleman with glasses and blonde hair told me he would call me the next day to discuss Helen's behavior towards me, he never called and I never got my deposit back... no one answers the phone either read more

What has happened to Enterprise? Of all my experiences with renting their vehicles, I've never had an issue with the presentation of a car. Picked up a Corolla during a rainy day. Associate at the time quickly went over the exterior and just sent me on my way. During the drive, I started hearing loose items in the trunk? Didn't think much of it, as it didn't sound mechanical and functionality of the car Upon further investigation, I find empty soda cans & bottles underneath the seats (front, passenger side). Interesting, the car wasn't cleaned? Then using the AC, it had a stibky sock smell (light, but still present). Was this vehicle not maintained? Seats had stains on them. Granted, this car had 30K on it, but it feels as the car hasn't been properly cleaned. Associate did take a day off and asked if I wanted another vehicle. I didn't think those small details warranted a new vehicle, just surprised to be given a rental that wasn't at least kept and maintained. I've never had that ossue with any other rental place. Hopefully this is a one off. read more

What a complete waste of time. We reserved a truck this afternoon and were told it would be ready. So I left Thousand Oaks in bumper-to-bumper traffic headed to Camarillo to pick up a truck we had reserved. On the way there, I received a message saying the truck was no longer available, but they suggested I call in to see if they had any other car I could use. After more than 20 attempts to reach someone by phone, nobody answered. No voicemail. No way to get through to anyone. I then contacted the Thousand Oaks location while I was still in Camarillo. I was told, "Come on down, we have two trucks available -- you can choose whichever one you want." So I drove another 40 minutes back through traffic over the grade to Thousand Oaks, only to arrive and immediately be told those trucks were not available either and that they had nothing they could rent me. Meanwhile, calling the corporate office to "verify" availability was just as useless. Apparently they can make reservations but cannot actually confirm whether vehicles are physically available at the location. Camarillo told me they cannot contact Thousand Oaks because they are "independent stores," and Thousand Oaks said the same about Camarillo. So nobody communicates with each other, yet customers are expected to waste hours driving around based on promises that turn out to be false. I run a business in Thousand Oaks, and we answer every call that comes through because we understand the blood, sweat, tears, and money it takes to make the phone ring. It's obvious the people at these locations could care less about customers' time. When I explained to the employee in Thousand Oaks that I had just spent 40 minutes driving back based on their promise, he simply walked away like it was no big deal and went back to playing video games. Shame on them for their poor business ethics, and shame on Enterprise for allowing customers to be treated this way. On A positive note, I stumblied upon Aves, they quickly picked up the phone, told me they had a truck we could use, verifed it was availbile, got there and within 15 min was on our way out with our rental. Maybe Enterprise should take notes on what means to offer great customer service !!! read more

Enterprise was so awesome! They picked me up from Caliber in Camarillo after I dropped off my car for repairs. They were super helpful and friendly. I think it was the manager that helped me, Helen. She explained all the details about the rental, but what I REALLY LOVED was I was able to drop my rental car AT Caliber and pick up my car directly after repairs. WHOEVER thought of this, is GENIUS!! read more

Hid their $300 deposit in small print, seems intentionally omitted from price you sign in the agreement, no one mentioned it, and they shorted the refund by some change. Not a huge deal, it just left a bad taste in my mouth, poor ethics and lack of caring. Plus the car was not great, older, low tech. read more

WILL NEVER RENT FROM ENTERPRISE AGAIN! Reserved an "economy" car while my car was in the shop. They didn't have any when I arrived so was offered a SUV. Asked for "shop rate" as I just needed a car to get to work while my car was in the shop. Tried to extend rental days and called Camarillo office direct line and ended up getting call center with someone who barely spoke English. Wasn't comfortable with call center so went to office. Found NOBODY there. Was told by someone in back area that I would receive assistance, but no one was called. Finally just left. Had a similar situation at Portland airport. Nobody showed how to operate the car gas fill, head lights etc. EXTREMELY poor customer service read more

Able was not willing to switch out a car from us. He claims there were no cars available. Because they were all out of service.. we rented a car from enterprise in torrance and the coolant light came on so we needed to switch cars. He wanted us to wait till the end of the day to see what was available!! Not nice of him not to give us a car since we were having issues with an enterprise car we rented from the company all ready !! bad customer service!!!!! They will steal anything you accidentally leave in the car. Left a sunglasses case and they certainly found it and kept it. I called right after and it magically disappeared. They pretend they have a lost and found but they don't put anything in it that's not just junk to claim they put everything in there. They keep the good stuff. read more

I rented a small sedan car here for just a few hours and was very impressed. I decided to rent a car for less than half a day instead of taking Uber/Lyft. The Enterprise staff was extremely quick to get me the keys and complete the digital paperwork. When I dropped off the vehicle it was also very smooth and they provided complimentary transportation back to my hotel. They also have a drop box to drop off the keys to make it quicker. The only minor suggestion is that it would be nice to go inside the Enterprise facility and check-in. The table looks just a little bit tacky outside the office. At the date/time of my rental they had a table outside and would come out to greet you. I am still giving 5 stars because of short notice with renting and they still had a vehicle ready. read more

I had the same issue with an Enterprise rental that died in the 5 freeway 10-months ago and the LAX Enterprise staff were unprofessional and useless. The cars are clean and nice, the people the same. My only complaint is that they don't accept Apple credit cards, which seems perfectly ridiculous. It's a credit card that has no visible numbers for someone to steal the number from. Deal with it. read more

We rented a car at Camarillo Enterprise early in the morning. Great staff - helpful and efficient. We chose a VW Jetta. After driving an hour, the seats felt like we were sitting on concrete. Had to get a more comfortable car since we were driving another 20 hours. Every Enterprise we called was out of the type of car we were wanting to exchange the Jetta. Finally we stopped at the Redlands Enterprise to exchange vehicles. Jocelyn, Chandler, and Kenny, the key man, were very helpful. We traded vehicles and were on our way. OH MY GOODNESS!!! We hadn't gone more than a few blocks and the "warning" lights went on for a tire pressure sensor. We didn't want to take any chances since it would be sunset soon. Basically, we went around the block back into Enterprise to let them know we had a warning light go on as soon we left the parking lot! They were all very apologetic and helped us get into another car asap! I highly recommend Enterprise Rent a Car! I've rented many times over the years from Enterprise and never had any problems with personnel. It's the only car rental company I use!! read more

Was told that the deposit for the rental car would be $50. When we showed up for the car we were told it was $150. No effort was made to correct this. Reached out through the Enterprise website "Contact Us" page and they also refused to honor the $50 deposit offer we were told about over the phone. They refused to pick me up even though I have been picked up by them in the past. She was uncaring and unknowing of the area. Worst customer service ever. I don't think I could give Enterprise 5 stars because of their scare-sales technique with the insurance add on. Read any travel website, always deny the insurance! With that said, this was the best Enterprise I've dealt with in awhile. We got a good clean car, granted they tried to give me a car someone just returned. Damn, if you're not going to wash it, at least check to see if its rent-able. We had Kyle check us out, he was super professional and personable which adds to the renting experience. I have always had good service here from the Camarillo branch of Enterprise. They will pick you up from your location and drop you off as well. The one time they didn't have my car ready for me, they gave me the choice of either half off my car rental or free tank of gas. I have rented here a few times now and each time they do their best to make me happy. Once I got a car that was turned over to me dirty, no gas and squeaky breaks, I called and complained because I was going to have the car for a week and the upgraded me to a more expensive rental. When the office received my reservation through my insurance, they immediately called me to "get some of the paperwork done" before I came in. Alex picked me up from the body shop 15 minutes after I got there, she was friendly and talkative, and she was right...I was "checked out" quickly. RJ, the manager, asked what kind of car I drive to see what I'd be mot comfortable in. Although he only had mid-sized cars within the insurance's allowance, he tried to get me in a full-sized car. He asked for my patience while he checked to see which cars were on their way back to the office. (During my wait, I listened to him deal with 3 other customers--including one who was 3 weeks late returning the car--and I silently applauded his professionalism with each.) Minutes later, Alex pulled up an Audi A4 and she asked if it was OK! "Courtesy upgrade." Wow! And it doesn't end there...Alex just called me tonight to make sure everything was OK and to make sure I was comfortable with my car and the experience I had today. Incredible customer service! Originally scheduled to rent a compact vehicle...unfortunately, it didn't have cruise control, and my destiny was Palo Alto, about 5 hours away. I spoke with the manager Claudia, asking her if she could help me. She spent about an hour researching the availability of cruise control compact vehicles at other Enterprise locations. She wasn't able to find one, so she provided me with a full size van at the same rate as compact. She is to be commended for going above the call of her job description. She was extremely considerate and sincere. She also made good on her promise She is just one of the many reasons I keep going back to that particular Enterprise everytime I need a rental car. read more

Customer service is a lost art here sadly. 1. The car company who's slogan is 'we'll pick you up' couldn't fulfill that the day we needed a pick up. 2. We get to the car and start the check up to make sure everything is in order and then the woman asks if I want 1/2 or full insurance. Now it's been a few years since I rented so I'm not sure if rules have changed-- so I ask her for whatever's the minimum that I need to take. She rudely informs me that it's not a requirement-- really? I wouldn't have guessed that at all from the way she asked. So if I hadn't asked what the minimum was and assumed that I had to have insurance because of the way she asked the question- I would have had to pay more for the car than necessary. She abruptly asked for name and deductible of my insurance carrier and made a big deal of telling me how they would go after my insurance carrier if anything happened to that car and that I was financially liable. Information that I needed to know to be sure but the reprimanding way in which it was delivered made me few like I got scolded by a teacher! Yuck. Not a good start to my Saturday. The car itself did what it was supposed to. Drove me from point A to point B. No complaints. read more

I reserved a car through the Enterprise website and was confirmed a price that was a very good deal. I called this office to confirm the pickup time, and after finding my reservation, the agent informs me that the weekend rate that was confirmed to me had been canceled by the company (supposedly for all Enterprise offices) and that my new cost would essentially be 2 1/2 times as much as I was quoted. So in other words, had I not called in advance and just shown up the day of the pickup, I would have been S.O.L. I call that bad business. Before I used to live enterprise there's a new worker there and she's very stuck up and when I tell her we can't make it right in time she charges $20/ hr fees when I've never experienced that from any of the other workers there and I have been renting cars for years here. I needed a car last minute and Enterprise was able help me. Upon arriving we were helped by Brian. He is pretty great. It was very busy with in house customers and phone calls. I watched him work. He could handle so much all at once with a smile on his face. He was giving everyone excellent customer service and solving problems as they came. He was very efficient.
