1. Got a reservation through Priceline for mid-size SUV for $153. 2. Got to the store, they said they didn't have a mid size SUV. They tried to up charge me an extra $125 to upgrade to an SUV. I said no, I have reservations already that I made a week ago. They offered me a Hyundai Venue instead. Me thinking it's at least an SUV, I said, yes. Got outside to see the car, that's a clown car. It can barely fit 5 people and a small luggage in the trunk. 3. I went back inside and told them to cancel because that Venue they offered is trash. I was already pissed at this point. 4. Similar to many other reviews I now see (wish I would have come on yelp first)I reserved a car a MONTH in advance here for an important trip and when I arrived with my paperwork proof and confirmation there was NO car available! The guy that was supposed to be manning the counter had to be summoned out of his personal car (that he was sitting in) outside the office to help me, and walks in still on the phone obviously dealing with another complaint about an overcharge. Ask for my car and he says he has none nonchalantly like it's no big deal-even after I show him my paperwork and confirmation. Smug and rude with the "too bad" attitude. Says he can't help me. This place is so unprofessional!!!!!!! Then tells me he knows no one else has cars because he has already checked which tells me I wasn't the first that day to have the same issue with them. Do not go here if you need to rely on a car for something important or a trip- you aren't guaranteed one and will find yourself scrambling day of searching other cities for cars and paying three times the price you got a month ago- I missed my kids graduation because of these people. I rented a car to travel to San Francisco. I selected Honda Accord as my preference and paid for it two weeks in advance. On the day of delivery I was told the car I selected was not available instead the offer me 2024 Nissan Kick which is quite a downsize for the same price. When I inquired why I am being charged same price they gave me various excuses. Since I was in hurry to go and time was as essence I accepted this car. And they assured me the reliability of this car. Half way between my destination we stopped for gas. After filling it up the car wont start. All electrical system gone off. Desperate to reach my destination for my appointment I called their customer service agent and asked for help. I was told to call my insurance agent and have it fixed as they cannot do anything else. Rest assured I will never go to this rental company again. Thay are more to align their pocket then giving you quality service. read more

I like to support local business in Simi Valley but I had a terrible experience with this location. I reserved a Hyundai Santa Fe for an out of town sporting event 2 months in advance. I followed up 2 weeks before the pick up to make sure we were good. On the Friday when I arrived the Santa Fe had was not available. OK no problem as I have had this problem before. The Direct Manager, Masih Rassoli was helping us and said no problem we can give you a passenger car. I told him we had equipment and a passenger car would not work. This is why I rented a SUV. He then told me for a Nissan Pathfinder or Mini Van was going to cost me $20 extra per day!! I have rented plenty of vehicles for business and pleasure and if a rental company does not have the class you rented they will upgrade at no charge. Masih told me he was the boss and the other vehicles he could get more money on the weekend. I reached out to corporate and they apologized and offered a certificate. I will try the Dollar Rental again but will NOT go to VALLEY HOLDINGS the licensee of the Simi Valley store. read more
