Terrible! I booked a minivan a month ahead of time and the day before our road trip they called and left a voice mail message stating they did not have any minivans available. They stated they have a five passenger vehicle. There was no way we could fit five of us and all of our luggage in a five passenger vehicle. If I wanted a smaller vehicle I would have rented one. I called and waiting on hold for a while and when I finally spoke to someone (later to find out it was Enterprise general booking department and not the local place). They told me the location I was seeking did in fact have minivans available and two other locations near by. I told them I had received a message from the location stating they did not. I was then able to get a hold of someone local and they confirmed they did not have a minivan and in fact they said they did not have any seven passenger vehicles available. They also said that the general booking department system is not a real time system and they can not see what the local Enterprises locations see. They apologize but the company overbooked rentals and there was nothing they could do. After calling all the rental car companies in my city and the next city and being bounced around with false hopes of finding a vehicle, I was left angry. I tried for four hours the day before we are to leave looking for a rental. Then we got a call that Enterprise just got a seven vehicle SUV. In desperation we accepted. When we went to pickup the vehicle there was no way this was a seven passenger vehicle SUV. It had four coach seats and a small bucket seat in the third row. The employee said if you wanted a real seven seat you should have booked a minivan. I looked at him and I told him, I did one month ago and your location told me this morning to tell you didn't have any. We took the vehicle because we had no other options. The SUV smelled like cigarettes , had dog fur all over and the seats were dirty. The employee said he could freshen it up for us but we didn't;t have any time to mess with. In all the years I have been renting vehicles from any place, I have never had them call me the day before telling me they did not have any vehicles to offer. Pick up and drop off was easy. Car was mid- did the job but found someone's used dental picks under the seat when tidying up the car for drop off so it obviously wasn't thoroughly cleaned before I picked it up. Specifically asked if I can use my own sun pass or if it's pay by plate. Was told I can use my sun pass and a week later I was charged 18.95 in tolls and convenience fees and can't get through via telephone to the branch. I'll be disputing with my credit card. read more

They say I returned the vehicle back under a quarter of a tank. I filled up EXACTLY AT THE HALF MARK. I filled up at the gas station right by them. Bullshit liars. This location did a great job. We needed to swap out our minivan due to issues. The van we got was super clean you could tell it had been thoroughly sanitized. There were 37,000 miles but it looked brand new. The man who took care of the swap was very polite. Recognized me immediately from my phone call. He was efficient with all paperwork and good about sharing his process. As I left I saw him out at the van we had issues with. He was looking to figure out how to solve which was great to know they weren't planning to just give it to a new party In addition another person at the counter was helping a party from overseas who didn't speak English. I made a reservation for a truck 30 days in advance. I even called to confirm the day before and was told my reservation was confirmed. On the day of the rental I received a call from Anna and was told sorry no trucks available. When I voiced my anger I am essentially screamed at for five minutes by Anna saying there is nothing she can do about it. I then ask if she at least can offer a SUV instead. She states that's probably not an option either. Hopefully you have a better experience and they actually have the car you reserved available. read more

I moved my mother down to FL. I hopped online and reserved a car a week before we drove down. I arrived at my scheduled appointment time and my, oh my, was it a Sally Show. They had a line 13 parties deep lined up on the side of the building in the middle of humid 98 degree morning sun. They didn't care. When I finally found someone that worked there I was yelled at "ma'am, we're short staffed and you just have to wait!" I rented this car ahead of time because I was on a very tight time schedule so I could fit in everything I needed to within my 2 day time frame. Then, fully knowing I was taking this car out of state, they popped an attitude with me again because I wasn't planning on returning the car to the same location. Ok, you see on my reservation where I'm taking this car. WTH! Then, they just flat out ignored a couple questions I asked them. I work in customer service. I've dealt with long lines and frustrated customers. They had no idea how to handle being "short staffed" which is sad, bc it's not that hard to be nice and transparent. And I've always had such a great experience with Enterprise. Never again. Rude, slow, entitled and lazy staff. I'll give someone else my money next time. read more

The customer service rep JAKOB KELLY Was the most rude unprofessional person I've ever seen in my life and that says a lot cause I've been a retail manager for 20 years so l've seen a lot of rude! But this guy takes the cake. If he would've handled our situation with the slightest bit of respect and dignity, enterprise would've gotten at minimum $2000 of our business seeing how it's going to take months for my car to be fixed and I obviously needed a rental. 100% because of him we canceled our reservation (not that they even had the car or similar anyway) And we went to budget and I'm so thankful we did because the process was so much easier!!! Funny thing is budget had the same problem we encountered they didn't have the car we reserved, but they were so glad to give me a different one and honor the original price unlike enterprise. If you end up at this location or thinking about choosing a car with them be warned that if they don't have a vehicle type you reserved for the rate you reserved it at. they will tell you to pay the extra which in our case was almost triple or kick rocks. Horrible service. Called me the day before my rental to reserve my car and clarify my insurance payment. Stated they would pick me up from car service, well that car took 35 minutes to arrive. Got to the enterprise just for them to ask me to make the full deposit, after I discussed the day before I would only be responsible for a $50 hold. For a company with a slogan of WE'LL PICK YOU UP they certainly did not. Had 4 employees hovering around the computer to tell us we were at the wrong place. The Cape location is as good as the best of any Enterprise location we've rented from - including at least 15 others across the country and on both coasts. They were well staffed and quickly and efficiently handled the steady flow of arriving customers. The location was as busy as some airport rental desks we've experienced in major airports - and the service was excellent, friendly and informative. An added bonus, they had the same vehicle available that I had just taken to the auto body shop and rented it to me for at lower tier pricing. Good deal for me - not having to learn the capabilities and quirks of another vehicle. The Cape Coral location assured me that my choice of Enterprise, when their prices are right, is the right one. read more

Even though my reservation had been confirmed online, there were no available cars. I had walked to the Enterprise, only to get a call saying they had no cars. They expected a shipment that afternoon and still there were no cars available. After being turned down elsewhere, I was excited about finally having a rental to visit my mom for her 85th birthday in North Carolina. Not only were there no cars, but they were unable to tell me whether there were any cars in any other Enterprise in Fort Myers. They were only certain about Cape Coral. Never again. After paying in full for a 3 week rental including a $300 Deposit after only 12 days they charged me again then argued with me that I had only paid for 11 days. Anyone who has ever rented a car knows they require you pay in full at the time of rental. Magically they knew my actual expected return date without bothering to contact me before charging me a second time. They never contacted me! When they billed me for a Toll they emailed me a receipt the same day. When I called I got a massive runaround including being told the manager who helped me was on an 11 day vacation and would be of no help to me. I was told to Google the Corporate # which I did and they were as useless as the person who claimed to be the "Main Manager". I'll be filing with my bank for unauthorized charges and speaking to my attorney for any further recourse I have. Not everyone has a spare $700 in their bank account, luckily I did. Rented a vehicle on Dec 26, 2020. Did not have an SUV so offered a Ford Fusion. The woman who checked us out was very nice. Was to have the rental vehicle for 1 week (until 1-2-2021). Car reeked as I drove away of recent Marijuana use. I guess that is why the windows were half down and the air conditioning was blowing on high in my face. I did not immediately return the vehicle as I needed it to drive family (including my son & pregnant daughter in law) and i knew there were no extra cars available. (angry woman yelling at them that she reserved a car and none left). We sprayed the vehicle several times & opened the windows to remove the smell. On Dec 8th I called to see if I could switch for another vehicle. No other vehicles were available. They said they would check on getting me a discount. In the mean time right front passenger tire lost air to 28lbs, we put air in tire back up to specs, Windows once put up would not go down. Seemed to be caught on something & would not then go up or down. Vehicle was also not very clean. Papers & dirty inside windshield. Since no vehicles were available at this point I had no choice but to keep the rental temporarily. I returned on 12-31 to again see if I could switch vehicles. They were getting a Kia ready for me when the manager came out and said he needed to check (while I waited) the camera in the car to see if I tampered with adding tinting to the windows & then trying to remove it! I said please go ahead as you will see I only tried tp get the windows to work. He came back 15 minutes or so later & said nothing at all except in order to switch to another vehicle I would need to pay cleaning for altering the car. I said , In checking the camera recording you saw that I did not tamper with the car. I brought it back as it was when I rented it. I am guessing there was no camera in the car and he was lying. I told him you have got to be kidding me, why would I tint the rental car windows, of course I would do no such thing. None of this made sense to me. This is fraud. Do not rent from this Enterprise location!!!!!!!!! They lie & initiate fraudulent charges. Not only did I loose 2 days of rental which need to be reimbursed, but they are trying to charge me for something I did not do . I have used Enterprise for rentals many times this year at a couple different locations. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO DISRESPECTUFLLY, LIED TO, OR BEEN CHARGED FRAUDULENNTLY FROM ANY OTHER ENTERPRISE LOCATION EVER OVER THE YEARS. THESE CHARGES SHOULD ALL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY. Great! They let me check out some cars before renting one and all the staff was friendly, intelligent, and happy to help. The only name I recall (although we dealt with several people at this location) was Caleb and he was super. Even after Impala 2015 broke down in Hinesville, GA and had to get a replacement. (The GA location, however, was terrible!) Once we returned to FL, they gave us a good discount, refunded gas paid for on other car, and handled everything very professionally. Totally impressed and will be using them again! This is how Enterprise built a good reputation and an excellent brand name! (Ps. Unfortunately today I had a terrible experience with picking up my car at Enterprise. I rent frequently from this location and must say I have never had a bad experience until today. I appreciate their policy of social distancing to keep everyone safe. However, this means standing outside in this Florida heat. I arrived 15 minutes early for my reservation. There was only one other person in line before me who had been helped and was waiting. After waiting for about 15 minutes and no one coming out to see about me I poke my head in to let them know I have been waiting. Someone comes out after a few minutes and says we will pull your car around and do a walk through. 40 minutes later I am still waiting with no real explanation after asking twice why is it taking so long? The lady straw was seeing two people who came way after me get their cars before me. I was done at that point and spoke again to the same young man who now identifies as the manager. The only explanation to why I waited an hour for a car I reserved weeks ago was it had to be cleaned and detailed and the reason the others got their cars before me was they were different type of cars. At no time from the start of my wait did anyone come out to me to say ma'am I know your reservation was at 9 but its going to take 45 minutes or longer. Good customer service would have explained that up front but there was no communication except initiated by me. Enterprise you get a grade of F for epic fail today. Please do better! read more
