Exceptional Leadership and Customer Service I lived in Bowie, Maryland, for 22 years, and during that time, the Bowie Enterprise location was where I routinely rented vehicles. Over the years, I had the opportunity to interact with many employees, but one person consistently stood out above the rest Tajuana Merella. From my very first encounter with Tajuana, it was clear she possessed something special. Her customer service was exceptional, but what impressed me most was her temperament. She remained calm, respectful, and professional, even when dealing with difficult or unreasonable customers. She knew how to de-escalate situations while remaining firm when necessary. Her professionalism was never dependent on the circumstances--it was consistently outstanding. Tajuana is polished, confident, and carries herself with the presence of an executive. She has a warm spirit, a genuine smile, and excellent emotional intelligence. She instinctively knows when to put customers at ease and when to focus on resolving an issue. Those qualities cannot be taught they are the hallmarks of a natural leader. After recently moving to Oxon Hill, I was pleasantly surprised to discover Tajuana had been promoted to Branch Manager. Seeing her in this leadership role came as no surprise to me because years ago, while she was still in Bowie, I told her I believed she was destined for bigger things. This promotion is long overdue and well deserved. As Branch Manager, she sets the tone for the entire office. The atmosphere is welcoming, the team reflects her professionalism, and it's easy to see that she leads by example. She doesn't simply manage a branch she creates an environment where both employees and customers feel valued and respected. Congratulations, Tajuana, on your well-earned promotion. Enterprise made an excellent decision. I have every confidence that your future is exceptionally bright, and I wouldn't be surprised to see you one day overseeing multiple locations or even owning an Enterprise franchise of your own. If I could give zero stars I would. This location is awful. I scheduled a pick up this past Friday at 7:30am, got a call the day before to come at 8am on Friday. When I got there on Friday morning after being drop off by Lyft my friend and I told by the staff there that they didn't have any cars!!! If they were there at 7:30am and knew they didnt have customers return cars. They could have called , informing me that no cars were available due to customers not returning them. DONT USE THIS PLACE!!! read more

Allow all customers to use whatever payment they want, without being penalized. I won't use Enterprise just for that reason.

Horrible customers service from Kayla W. Ricky the really does not care. Turned the car back in the next day when they opened. Car smelled like smoke and several stains. Kayla is rude and dismissive. This Capitol Heights location literally had the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life! I thought that I would be able to get a rental car and go to work but instead I was met with incompetent, irrational, Lacking empathy Customer reps. They literally wasted 2 1/2 hours of my time!! Sadly, my car was stolen. And as a result, I was there to get a rental. The insurance company made the reservation incorrectly which is what I found out once I got to that location. Instead of trying to help me, they gave me all this unnecessary information about how they didn't want to be written up how the other Enterprise is not in a region. I am a customer I don't need to know that , nor do I care! This girl kept saying "I'm trying to break bread with you!" FIRST OF ALL... don't talk that ghetto jargon with me...instead LEARN how to solve problems and care about your customers. Then they had to nerve to continue to reference this area manager, who obviously is also incompetent, and unable to help solve problems. This location only had cars that cost more than what the insurance was willing to pay. OK no problem that's why I go to work every day however, they want to tell me about a policy where I have to rent for 10 days. So now you're saying I need to pay the difference Times 10. YOU SHIUKD HAVE CARS! Again after wasting almost 3 hours of my time I finally get into the car and it literally reeked of marijuana mixed with some terrible attempt to try to clean the car. I guess that's why they gave me the car with the windows rolled down in 30° weather. This place is completely ridiculous and needs to be shut down. I rented a vehicle from this Enterprise on12/21/22 for 1 week during the Christmas holidays. The car broke down on 12/24/22 on the road (would not re-start). I was unable to get any assistance from Enterprise (National & the original location). After speaking with nearly 15 agents over the phone I was instructed to catch an Uber 70 miles to the nearest location in Ga. When I arrived at that location, there were no vehicles available as they had no record of me picking it up. Needless to say, Enterprise has not resolved my issue. As a long time customer of over 15 years.....this is extremely disappointing! In addition, I had to rent another vehicle to return to MD from GA. Horrible experience!!!!! read more

It's a lil ghetto and by that I mean the kids at the front desk don't seem to know what they are doing. Asking them something and they ask the other person looking around only for them to call someone else to ask and then they don't know themselves. Getting info about anything is going to be hard and Difficult. Cars at this location already have small scratches and where in tear inside and out the cars. Not to many choices. read more

I've patronized this location quite a few times. Their pickup/dropoff service has always been reliable. Not to mention, although the staff seems to change whenever I visit, everyone always has a pleasant attitude. I've also found them to be pretty accommodating with special requests. I've given them 4 stars instead of 5, because I've rented two vehicles with issues; one SUV had an alert-message on the control panel about the vehicle needing oil, I was told to ignore it. Another vehicle was rented to me with a tire leak. I had to put air in the tire, and by the time I returned it, it had gone completely flat. read more

I rented from this location because it was convenient to where I was visiting. The staff here seemed very friendly and courteous. The car was what I'd reserved and almost brand new (only 930 miles on it). My return was a little slow just because of a small glitch in the Enterprise matrix, but the associate said I could go if I needed to and he'd call me once everything was worked out. I left and five minutes later he called just like he said he would, told me all was cool and sent me an email receipt as expected. I appreciated his expedient handling of the small glitch. I'll definitely rent from here again. read more

Today I came in to this location to pick up my rental car. Yesterday 1/12/22 a gentleman by the name of Will assisted me on the phone. He was very professional and welcoming. He answered all of my questions and had an amazing sense of humor. He reassured that everything was taken care of. Today when I arrived at the location I was greeted by Will , Ma'lika and Darius! It has been a while since I had amazing customer service like this!!! These three individuals were phenomenal. They had amazing sense of humors, very professional, warm hearted and most of all WELCOMING! All of my needs and slight request were met. You can see their smiles behind their mask and can tell they love their job. Customers are definitely top priority at this location!! Thank you guys so much! I am a reward member, and i rented a vehicle for almost 3 consecutive months from this particular branch, which costs over $3000. Customer service started off superb... some time around the 3rd month the staff attitudes started changing and for some strange reason their payment policy did also. I reserved a car for another week after being a faithful, paying customer of 3 consecutive months and in the middle of my reservation things hit rock bottom. I still use enterprise, but i definitely suggest another branch. Nobody can pay me to go back there. And the area manager isn't any better than the branch... read more

Worst service of LIFE - zero stars :( First, let me start off by saying that I left the Hampton Mall location in tears! I started my experience at the location at 7937 Central Avenue. I walked in and NO ONE greeted me upon arrival. Not saying that Enterprise is the friendliest place to go to but I've always received a greeting at least (my thoughts is that the manager was too busy eating his chicken to care). I gave the person my info including but not limited to my driver's license, full name, and address. I repeated the spelling of my name 4x's as he typed with his index fingers. He then asked me to insert my card into the chip reader and he handed me my i.d. back. He asks the manager for a code, the manager then walks over with greasy hands to type in the code. The associate ask's me (for the 5th time) to spell my full name - I oblige. He then asks me to verify my address. I gave him the address on my I.D. and a couple others he types all 5 in with his index fingers to no avail. I ask him what this was as I had NEVER had this problem and he said: "we just need to verify the address". I asked him why MVA issued id did not suffice and he said: "It just won't". I then asked to speak with the manager walks up with an attitude because I interrupted his lunch. Again, never a greeting. I asked him what was the problem and can we bypass this or if someone could explain what I needed to do and why. He told me to go home to get a utility bill. At this point, the smell of chicken, the bad service, not receiving a greeting initially was enough! I asked them transfer the reservation to the location at Hampton Mall. The associate said "just go" pointing to the right toward the Hampton Mall location. The manager walked away to finish his chicken totally nonchalant. I ask "do I just walk in?" he said "yeah just go down there" and walked away from the screen. On the way to the other location, I get an alert from my bank that my card had been charged. At this point, I was highly disappointed in Enterprise. As I was down $314 and with no car and sent to beg from one from another location. I walk into the HM location and what do you know. No greeting, I told them what happened and the guy with the dingy polo shirt asked: "well why you here?" I ask him was there anything he could do to accommodate my request for a car as I had already paid. I even told him that Geico would fax over a declaration page. He said "Nah you gotta go back there" My mom walks in and asks whats going on? and the whole staff burst into laughter. She asked "whats funny?" and the guy with the black polo sitting on the right (sorry no badges = No names - no one had on a badge, not even management). He said I'm laughing at you because you yelling for nuffin" she said "I yell if I want" and a white man from out of nowhere (probably the most disrespectful of them all) tells us to "Just go" I told him I did not have a car and he said I don't have anything for you and I should leave. I asked him for a refund and he said ok you'll get a refund. I asked him for proof and he stormed away to a computer to type up a refund. Yelling at my mother the entire time. He shoved the receipt at me and told me not to come back. All in all, I left without a car, less $314, and without my dignity. I was embarrassed and let down by the disrespect Enterprise showed toward both me and my mother. I spoke with a customer service agent and she told me there was not much she can do. Unfortunately, I do not expect much after the actions displayed today - there is no excuse! I hope that this never happens again to anyone read more

I have used this location for 5-6 years and the pick up drop off service is A1, always on time. I'm in and out with no problems. Most of the staff knows me, but there's always a new face. just came from this location and was told that they dont take prepaid debit cards and my card is clearly not prepaid then the person at the desk said " can i get someone to put the car in their name for me and i pay them the funds' first of all thats illegal , and it's illegal advice to give to a customer. how can you all not take cash but cash is actually guaranteed. the place was dirty and they were horsing around. never will i go to this location again or recommend anybody to go. enterprise saying they dont take prepaid cards is just like mcdonalds saying they don't take cards. wow..to be a growing rental car company they sure do not know how to treat their customers.. have a blessed day. read more
