The first time I rented a car was about 6 weeks ago. The agent was cool and I only rented for a 24 hour period, but something seemed off. Everything was fine until I went back yesterday for another 24 hour rental (had to drive to LAS and back both times), and was told there was an open claim against me and I was on the "Do Not Rent" list. I was given a claim number and a phone number to call to get the issue resolved. I called from the Cedar City airport, in view of the desk agent, but the automated system and one live agent got me nowhere. I asked the agent at the counter to give me more information and to help me resolve whatever this issue was, but she told me she couldn't do anything and the manager was gone until tomorrow. When the agent at the counter eventually told me she would not be able to give me a car that day, she treated me as if I knew exactly what I had done wrong and was lying to her. My friend then tried to rent a car to do the drive for me, but they refused her a car as well stating they knew she was with me! I ended up spending a few more hours on phone calls being transferred to different departments trying to figure out what this claim was. No one could tell me. Finally, the Budget "Do Not Rent" department got back with me and told me there was no issue -- there was no hold on my license, I was not on their list, I was fine to rent a car from Budget. They gave me a different customer service number to call to find out why I was refused at the counter. I spoke with customer service again, this morning. This agent did a full search on my account, my license, everything, and confirmed once again there is no issue, no claim against me, no hold, and I am not on the "Do Not Rent" list. He then told me the best he can figure is the agent at the counter was having a bad day, decided to NOT give me the car I had prepaid for, and lied to me. I have been trying to contact the service desk at the Cedar City airport to speak to the manager, but they are not answering the phone. I recommend renting from Enterprise. They have always been great and the only reason I went with Budget this time was because the pricing was better.

Called and confirmed my reservation with Allison on 2/18 and she assured me that I wouldn't have any issues since I booked in advance and there would be plenty of vehicles for Sunday, 2/22 (today). Unfortunately she advised that she wouldn't be working the day of my arrival. Arrived today, NO ONE at the counter. There was a posted sign "SERVICING A VEHICLE WILL RETURN SHORTLY". Waited over an hour, knocked on the doors, no one...just unbelievable. Didn't want to miss our flight so we ended up searching a ride on Lyft and fortunately a nice man accepted the ride request from Utah to Vegas. If you want to take a gamble with AVIS of Cedar City, do it at your own risk, just have a backup plan. I DO NOT recommend.

I called and talked to Theresa. I tried to explain to her that with a corporate account, everything gets charges to the corporate account even the deposit. She refused to listen. I asked to speak to a supervisor, she stated that the supervisor was off and she is not going to bother them. I called Enterprise corporate. They confirmed that our employee should not have to provide a credit card, everything gets charged to the corporate account. I asked her to contact the location and she stated that she was not allowed to contact any enterprise franchise. She recommended that i call and talked to the supervisor there. I called back and spoke with Theresa. I ask to speak with a supervisor, she replied that she was the supervisor. Promotions within that office must be quick. I explain to her what enterprise corporate stated and she still insisted that she need a credit card to cover deposit. She then informed me that the reservation was cancelled by Egencia(booking agency we go through). I called Egencia. They stated they did not call and the reservation was still active. Yes, I could have just had the employee present a credit card. We have had this situation before and having proving that everything is to be charged to the corporate account already set up within Enterprise, it took weeks for the employee to get their money back. Instead, I had my employee take a uber down to St George to grab a rental there. ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES at St George. This is not the first time we have had issues with this location.
