This place is run by an very friendly, professional General Manager named Alex. I have had absolutely nothing but GREAT interactions with her. She has been very accommodating, upfront and extremely honest. She is a true professional who excels at customer service! I have had a number of issues of which she bent over backwards to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. You can tell she is a very talented Manager by they way the team follows her lead in providing the same model of top notch customer service and always being open and friendly. The business is extremely challenging and demanding, but Alex's team acts professional regardless the difficulties and challenges in front of them. If you are asked to wait a few minutes for something, pull up a chair and just watch and listen to how they talk professionally on the phone or how they are able to calm an upset customer. It's so cool how they work together to create and exceptional customer experience. Alex should be commended for her leadership, dedication and passion for customer service. If you are going to use enterprise to pick out a rental car or if your insurance company offers you a place to pick your car, ONLY select this Enterprise on Savanah Highway next to Fender Mender. WORST customer service EVER. Basically NO customer service. I have been calling severeal times a day for 3 days...no one EVER picks up and after being on hold for 30 mins, a recording simply says "call back later" and disconnects me; I cannot reach a human being to discuss being overcharged for a rental. I finally resorted to sending an email with, surprise surpris, NO response. Horrible customer service and did not meet any expectations, at all. Rent a car somewhere else, anywhere else. Hanover a 30 foot RV making it difficult to get into their location which was not their fault. I dealt with Taylor and Ben. Both were very helpful in expediting my getting in and out with a vehicle. Rented a car from this location for a last minute business trip. I thought the ladies were very speedy and friendly with their service, and took the time to break down the contract information. This location is teeny tiny-- blink and you might miss it! It's nestled inside "Fender Mender" and has a large Geico sticker on the door as well. Parking lot is small, but several spots were open when I arrived. The inside is dated and not the prettiest office in the world, but it was clean and tidy. I got a fairly new Jeep Compass, despite paying for a cheaper car. The interior was spotless! My trip was cut short, so I ended up returning the car a day earlier than anticipated. Return process was very easy- I was in and out in about 5 minutes. I'm not sure about the selection and availability here under normal circumstances, as it is a really small location. I did not have any issues, though, and would definitely return here. read more

DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY... Upon delivery, the car mats were sandy - not uncommon in this area. Also, the low tire warning was on, and there was trash in the floor... My first night drive proved that the windows were unclean - inside and out. Night driving is very challenging. Then, sadly, I realized that this office could not be following the posted corporate Covid 19 cleaning protocols either! With a minimum of research, I determined that this Enterprise office had a reputation for not cleaning, much less following stated Corporate Covid 19 cleaning practices, between rentals. To no avail. I have reached out to provide Corporate and regional offices with customer service feedback and correction numerous times over a multi-day period. I have spoken numerous times with Asian call centers and other local offices. I, several times requested that the manager of the office, where I rented my dirty vehicle, share the contact information for his upline management - he twice refused. NO responsible Enterprise agent has has attempted to return my calls or correct this issue. **** Waiting ten days and having multiple times provided my contact information, I still await any contact from Enterprise Corporate Customer Service. WOW!!! Now the other three tires are giving a constant low pressure warning... Having not used Enterprise in several years, this will be my final experience. Prior Enterprise experience were so great with customer service and vehicles were always clean. These facts, and others I have chosen to not currently post, cannot be blamed on current Covington 19 business climate. Sadly poor management oversight, an absence of training, outsourcing customer service call centers to Asia, and a lack of plain old honesty and transparency are a major part of the Enterprise failure in my current Charleston, SC experience. I would have better spend my time sharing my experiences with the local Department of Health and Better Business Bureau. read more

My wife needed a rental car because her current 2000 Honda Accord wouldn't shut off after getting a jump because it wouldn't start. Long story. When she arrived at Enterprise, they asked her if she wanted a free upgrade from the basic mid sized sedan she had requested. Her upgrade was a 2016 Ford Mustang convertible, so she happily accepted. The car ran great, and the pickup / drop off process went smoothly. My wife even accidentally left something in the car, which they found upon inspection, and returned to her promptly. We'll definitely use this service again in the future if it is needed. read more

Do Not Book. I selected this specific location due to it'a availability of cars per the website. I would have booked closer to downtown, but this was the only location with "available" cars. I confirmed the reservation and came promptly first thing in the morning to find that not only do they not have a car ready, but they wouldn't until 5pm. I repeat, do not give them your time of day, business, or even consideration. They do not have you in their best interests and have no way of helping you even if you've gone through the reservation and confirmation process. Do Not Book with this company. This branch and subsequent dealings with their 800 number has ruined my trip to South Carolina. I cannot believe that they can conduct their business like this. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. Bottom line, we rented a car today, and it died on is. We have spent the whole day talking to idiot representatives. At one point they reported they had no record of our complaint. This was after they had already paid for a taxi to get me to a business meeting. I called to report that the car would not start at 2pm. They kept saying that a replacement car was coming. Cue to 8 hours later and still no car. They told me I have to wait until the morning. So I lost a vacation day today and probably another one tomorrow and they don't even have any remedy. They are liars, it's that simple. They do not care about service. Will never be renting from them again, and will be telling my company to close the corporate account. I can't believe this BS has singlehandedly ruined what was supposed to be a good getaway. After being hit I dropped my car at the repair shop and insurance had secured a rental next door at Enterprise. First off, I drive a small car and was expecting a small car, but they only had a large van- the van has clearly not been cleaned well. I did take it but after driving it home I knew this was not gonna work. After calling, the manager said they'd swap it out as soon as something came in. The next morning at 8am they called offering a smaller car. Switched the van out for another dirty vehicle- the windows in this car are so filmy you can't see if the sun is shining. It clearly has not been cleaned at all. Not vacuumed, not wiped out, nada. With COVID a factor, this was alarming. read more

Awful. First they tried to give me the most enormous car ever as an insurance car when I drive a small sedan. Then they gave me a car covered in scratches, with brown marks all over the ceiling, the backseat light not in and that literally stunk of cigarette smoke. Then they overcharged be by over $100 when I got my final bill. Unfortunately I paid it then did the math and am still waiting for the refund I was assured I would get. I'm also still waiting on the refund for the damage waver 9 business days later...for a gross already damaged car. Makes sense, right? If you can avoid it, go somewhere else. Their only saving grace was that I was told I would get refunded a little extra, we'll see if that happens or if I have to call again to even get my $100 back. Awful. Just awful. read more

I've never had a successful experience with this location. After giving me a filthy car (during a pandemic) that clearly hadn't been cleaned, the manager (Mary, who seems to be one of the few competent people there who cares about her job and customers) offered me a free day. When I went back to use the free day (in addition to one paid day), they messed up my records. They ended up taking part of my deposit, charging me for a total of 3 days (again, had the car for two days, one of which was supposed to be free), and entering in the records that I picked up the car from Meeting St and returned it to Meeting St one day late. I've never been to the Meeting St. Location. This Enterprise still owes me money back. When I call the corporate phone number, they say I have to talk to the branch. But they've emailed (and I've called) the branch, and they won't respond. So, enterprise essentially just gets to steal my money and keep pointing fingers? read more

This particular location is DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY!!!! There were 2 dead things on the floor by the check in counter which prompted me to look around and the carpet had not been vacuumed in a very long time! There was a ton of debris and dirt and under one of the desks about 5 water bottle caps. Just gross!!! I can't believe if they don't have a cleaning service they can't take a few minutes and actually take a little pride in their workspace and the fact that this is the face of this location. Oh, and they share a building with an auto body repair shop and their part of the office was very clean and nice. But that couldn't make me give 1 star just based on that. I called on the phone to make the reservation I was VERY clear with the representative we would be dropping the car at a Winston Salem location in NC the very next day. He tells me the cost would be $57.42 and I knew about the deposit from the website and from using them before. I asked him 3 times if that would be the total if in fact it was dropped off in the time period I gave him he assured me that was in fact the case. Well we come in to pick up the car and the girl who I wouldn't describe as friendly or helpful tells me its a $170 drop fee!!! I tell her I asked the man that I spoke with if there were additional charges/fees and he said no. She doesn't apologize for a lack of customer service or explain what in fact is a drop fee or why it's that damn high! So bottom line it cost $420.91 to drive from SC to NC $200 we'll get back supposedly! All we needed was a vehicle to get to NC to pick up a truck we had purchased for our son. I will NEVER use Enterprise again if given a choice (dang insurance companies)! read more

Hidden fee that doesn't appear until after you get your email receipt. Rented a car for a couple days in Charleston, and to save some money, I asked to return to the Charleston airport on Sunday as this location is closed on the weekend. the lady at the counter agreed that was a good idea and set my reservation to match. There was no mention of the $100 one way fee they were going to charge me! A $100 one way fee to return to a location less than 8 miles away because this location is closed on the weekend. If the lady at the counter would have mentioned this while booking, I would have just kept the car until Monday morning and been charged the daily rate of $44.35! I called to speak with this location and the manager did speak with me, but was unwilling to do anything about this $100 fee. As a frequent business traveler, there are much better and more reputable places to rent from in Charleston. Avoid at all costs and double check the fine print for hidden fees. read more

i made a reservation online a month or more in advance for a midsize vehicle....i always rent from the airport but decided to use this location instead ...i was given a compact car ...mazda 3....this is not a mid size car....i will never ever use this location again...i had this tiny car for 15 days...my suitcases couldn't fit in the trunk ....then they said that i could pay 9$ a day more....seriously....this was the worst customer service and the employees are inconsiderate read more
