I left a pair of expensive reading glasses in my Enterprise Rental on 4/8/26 as we were rushing to catch a flight. Yes, this is my fault! My concern is the staff at Charleston airport surely would have fond these and put them in a lost and found. Well, you cannot get in touch with anyone or file a claim at this airport. I have come to this location many times over the years because I travel for work and have to use a rental car. Each time the staff changes but they were always very friendly. This seems like a place young college students will work to learn business skills. The cars are always very clean and ready whenever I come in with my reservation. One downside is you do have to park in the dirt parking lot across the street if you are going to exchange cars and leave your car there. read more

My car has been in the body shop down the road since Thanksgiving - my insurance company arranged the rental for me... and that is where it all went South! I absolutely have nothing positive to say about this place. They rented me a car with the tire light on - someone came out and reset it and said it would be fine - well that hasn't been the case. Last week, I drove up to Myrtle Beach to swap out the car for one with no warning lights - ahhhh, that office was a breath of fresh air. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I reserved a rental vehicle on 11/8/25 (Sat) and checked-in online. When I arrived for pickup, the attendant informed me that they could not honor the category of vehicle I had initally reserved. A different vehicle was offered and I accepted; however, I was told that I would have to wait a few minutes while they worked on releasing that vehicle from a hold status (as a matter of having just finished an oil change on it that morning). The store hours on Saturdays are diabolical (only open 9 AM - 12PM). The website allows you to schedule pickup literally at the time they close, without any warning/notification. I'm glad I got to the location early; however, no one at enterprise seemed to be answering their phones to take my rental off of its hold status. As a result, the enterprise crew tried to scramble yet another vehicle for me, one that was located at another Enterprise location down the road. Surprise! They were also closed. Consequently, I was left high-and-dry and told by the attendant that they would not be able to help me . . . AFTER I had already checked-in! What's the point of checking in? If a client checks in online the process should be as simple as showing up and grabbing keys (insurance, payment, and coverage options should have already been made on the website). Anyway, ended up spending an additional $35 to rideshare over to the airport, where Enterprise was able to accommodate from there. I am very unsatisfied with this location (and I have never had an issue with Enterprise before). RENTERS BEWARE. I will not be renting from here again, which is unfortunate because I am a West Ashley local. I only attribute one star to this location because when I called to express my grievance, the person who answered my call seemed genuinely empathetic. However, I had called a day prior to try to speak to a manager, left my information, and never received a call back. We made a plan to rent a minivan to take on a Disney trip (way better than taking an SUV btw). We had to change plans a couple times because of Covid but we ended up leaving the week before Thanksgiving. My pickup location was listed in North Charleston behind a car dealership as that was the closest location to me. I called to confirm multiple times because of the changes and such and just wanted to be sure that a van would be available the following morning. After all my calls, I showed up and they had no idea why I was there. I showed them my confirmation and they looked it up and said my car was at the West Ashley location. No apology or even an address... they just sent us out. At this point, I'm pretty aggravated and the extra running around but us behind by an hour getting out of town. Aside from that, the West Ashley location was pretty good. They still couldn't explain what happened but got me my van and on the way quickly. They were super busy at pickup and dropoff but I appreciated them being efficient and getting me on my way. I'm sitting in the back seat of my fathers rental and I'm disgusted. First, this is not the car he reserved, he requested an suv so he could put my son's bike in the back but when he got there at the reservation time, the window was cracked so they put him in this which would be fine except it's not what he paid for and is filthy. There is a whole list of things they say they are responsible for cleaning and clearly that didn't happen. The car reeks of smoke and made my throat itch. The guy told my dad it had just been cleaned and is a no smoking car. Judge for yourself by the pictures. Take my word for the smell. You can see the business's response. They had told my dad they would call him before 6pm yesterday. They did not call until almost 10 this morning and the answer was that he needed to drive to North Charleston to switch the car versus them delivering it to the West Ashley location or swapping it at the house. A refund or credit was also not offered. Update, yesterday a manager named Emily called my dad and apologized and asked how she could make things right. She offered a discounted amount and brought a replacement vehicle. Much happier. read more

I was impressed with this Enterprise location. My oldest stepson had his car (actually his grandmother' as he sold his old, old Nissan Xterra) in the shop but needed to get to work and people at work could not pick him up so off we went to rent a car for him. Unfortunately he had canceled his insurance because of him not owning a car at this time and was using his grandmother's car. Thus they had to place Insurance on him so it was about $423 for 4 days. So the price was not a winner by any means but at least they were able to accommodate somebody without automobile insurance and have him covered with $300,000 in liability coverage which hopefully he will not need! read more

Very poor customer service! My car was getting serviced at the dealership and they had no loaner cars available. The dealership has a contract with this Enterprise to provide vehicles. The lady who picked me up from the dealership was super pleasant to talk to. That's where it ended. All transactions are performed outside, which wouldn't be bad if it wasn't 1000 degrees! They had large fans set up but only facing the employees. The associates weren't friendly at all. They didn't even try. Instead of coming a little closer, the young lady thought yelling would be a solution. No thank you...please don't yell at me. And please don't say 'what??' when you can't hear me. They seemed a little confused when I gave them my information, even though I was present when the representative at the dealership called to get me a car. She showed me the car, gave me the keys, and was on her way. She didn't wait around to see if I had any questions. Hopefully I don't have to deal with them again. read more

I put my reservation in at the start of the week. I got a call a day prior to confirm, and I told them yes I was still interested. Once I arrived they tell me that they don't have any more "sports cars" available. Ironically I see one pulling off the lot. For a fact I know that rental was the one I requested. They tried to give me an upgrade to an SUV and that comparison is night and day. I began to question them as to how could they not have my rental when they called me a day before for confirmation and they didn't really have an answer. I was told that the person that actually got my reservation, was a walk in and she definitely "paid" for it (I paid for my rental using my points which they don't get any money from). I think this entire experience was very unprofessional. I expressed my dissatisfaction with my experience and they gave me a hand written note on a business card that read "20% off". Clearly I am still not satisfied with my experience here for me to be writing this. Not to mention I have atleast 15 rentals from this specific enterprise within the last year. read more

This is a great location covering the West Ashley, James Island, John's Island and North Charleston area. The staff is fun, friendly and very generous with their time. Each time we go there, they go above and beyond in the friendliness space. They are constantly smiling and genuinely look like they enjoy what they do. Selection is solid. In this most recent visit, they had a pool of new cars with under 100 total miles each. Clean and new. What more can you ask for with a rental. Is it warm out? That is ok, because they will offer you water to help you replenish. The pick up option is limited to West Ashley, so that can be challenging if you live outside their range. They do honor all Enterprise coupons and try to give you the best deal. Overall, a good place for a quick short term rental. read more

My friend and I rented a vehicle from this Enterprise for a visit to Charleston since it was cheaper than the airport. The vehicle could only fit one luggage which was an inconvenience but we should've realized that when we reserved it. So that's on us. I noticed a few small stains on the seats but nothing major. The customer service was very good when we went to pick up the vehicle. The representative was very patient and friendly. When we went to return the vehicle, we again experienced great customer service. The representatives were helpful and kind and everything went smoothly until what appeared to be a monsoon appeared out of nowhere. It was a serious downpour and my friend and I were trying to figure out how to get our bags and ourselves into our Uber without getting drenched in rain. It was a real mess of a situation. The female representative who worked at Enterprise helped us with our luggage in the middle of the monsoon despite the fact that she got soaking wet. I was so surprised that she chose to get drenched instead of staying inside with the male representative who watched through the glass door from the dry side. Back in April, I had to have my car towed to a dealership, from Kiawah Islands. The dealership had mo loaner cars, so I took an Uber to Enterprise to rent a vehicle. I had barely driven off when the dealership called me a said my car was ready. I returned the van, having only driven it 6 miles. I didn't mind paying the rental price for the van, but they put a large hold on my credit card for my $500 insurance deductible plus and extra day's rental for the van that I returned after having driven it 6 miles. The hold remained on my card for over a week. It was very inconvenient to have such a large hold when I had to pay $1,850 to fix mu car and $40 for an Uber to Enterprise. Enterprise's service was excellent. They got a car for me in 10 minutes but if I had known they were going to leave a large hold on my credit card for over a week. I would have used a different company. For this reason, I will never use them again. read more

The flights were canceled and redirected to Hartford instead of White Plains The rental place in Hartford would not honor the pricing already set up with the flight. They stated that the had few cars and were a larger airport. They increased the costs from their spot considerably. My own vehicle was being serviced at Palmetto Ford and could not be picked up before 8AM the same time my rental was due for return. No problem! if I could give zero stars for this location I would - I rent a car from Enterprise at least twice per month for the last 5 years / through my company - I always use airport locations with great results - we'll I had company coming into town for Thanksgiving and Enterprise at the airport was out of cars - I had to go to the 2004 Savannah Hwy location. The experience was awful - i had reserved the car for 3 pm - although there were not many customers it took them 45 minutes to get me into a vehicle after having to verify my employment by going through my work emails ! I had reserved a mid sized SUV - they did not have any available- I had to get a mini van/which they stated was an upgrade it smelled so bad even the employee wouldn't get in it -so then had to wait while she found something g else and the employee was so lethargic - i had to pick up family at the airport and the staff couldn't be bothered to get me out of there in a reasonable amount of time ! I travel often for work - this location used to be stellar, fast and service focused but something has shifted. The agents seem clueless on what's going on- wait time, fax number, wifi access?! I waited over 45 minutes for a vehicle, after my reservation time of 11:30. When I checked on the status of my vehicle after 30 minutes, it appeared that they had forgotten me! I only ask that the agents call to update me if a vehicle will not be ready by the reservation time. read more

Thank goodness for this Enterprise! I rented a car from the airport location. To say they were extremely unhelpful would be an understatement. After calling their number multiple times with no answer, I reached out to this location. Someone answered the phone on the 2nd ring! I called because the car I just picked up at the airport showed a low air/tire light the morning after I picked it up the rep at the Savannah Hwy location said to go ahead and bring it there. I waited about 5 mins and a young, very nice blonde guy helped me. He not only filled that tire, but checked all the others as well and waited to make sure that the sensor cleared. Can't imagine how hard it must be to work there during the holidays, but they handled the long hours and workload and hundreds of reservations with class and professionalism. They all deserve a raise! Haha. The manager, Michael Crowther, exceeded my expectations. When I walked in he had a handful of fires he was putting out but he still stopped to help me with a smile. I reserved a car a week ago to be picked up at noon on April 12th I received a verification phone call on the 11th .. I arrive at 1230 a little late but the place is full of people sitting down waiting.. We reserved a car online around 3 pm and we were told that it was reserved for pick up by 5 pm. We get to the location and the assistant manager Megan told us that she didn't have any cars and that we could go check another location without trying to assist us. While we were in the line another customer also had issues and she started to argue back and forth while we were standing in line. We asked for the manager and Mike just told us that they didn't have any cars even though they were still taking reservations online. After driving from the other side of town for an hour to pick up our reservation by 5 we were told that basically even though we did everything right and wasn't our fault we still had to leave without them trying to understand our situation to assist us. They are fast, friendly, and have even come and picked me up at the last minute due to a miscommunication with a downtown location. This my second time renting from Enterprise and my LAST! It happens to be my birthday today and Visiting my parents in the Charleston SC area. My original reservation was for a midsize car but decided it would be more cost efficient to get the compact car so changed reservation on line. At the counter Charleston International Airport I was greeted gave her my reservation number and was told there was a $200 deposit. I asked if I could split the payment And she said no not for the deposit but when I brought he car back I could. After signing and initial the contract she told me to go out to the black tent to get my car. The gal that greeted me there took my ticket said Happy Birthday I asked her how did she know it was my birthday she said it was on my ticket and because of that I could get a free upgrade. I was thrilled to drive off in a Mazda x5. What I didn't realize and WAS NOT TOLD was that my debit card was charged $500 not $200 . I am on a limited budget and when I tried to use my card later and was declined I was shocked to see the $500 charge from enterprise. Sneaky, dishonest not the way to do business. I will be returning this car tomorrow for a full refund and will not be using Enterprise again. By the way after all this I looked at the contract I signed at the counter the amount the ticket agent verbally told me was $199 before getting the upgrade outside but very small at the very bottom of contract it reads $505. The counter agent inside told me an amount of $199 and charged my card $505 .The upgrade never discussed until I got outside but charged me for it anyway without mentioning anything when I signed the contract . VERY SNEAKY I had been traveling and up since 3 in the morning and it is sad to be taken advantage of like this. read more

They provided me lots of fake sympathy when my car was a total loss then went on to misinform me of when my car was due causing me to have to pay for another day of car rental because of their failure to provide me with correct information. I returned the car 30 minutes after they called me and they told me that I they could not provide me a ride home because of "COVID19" even though they gave me a ride from the auto shop...sounds like you just don't care about me the minute I'm not your client anymore. Then 2 days later they called me to tell me I owe them money for their mistake and argued with me when I told them I wanted the fee waved since they misinformed me in the first place. The employee went as far as to interrupt me to say I was wrong and that he did inform me. Just extremely rude and wildly condescending to argue with a costumer on the phone like that after they talked to me on the phone and gave me misinformation. I am never renting from this place again even if it's free because clearly they will find a way to charge you even if it's their mistake. read more

Sometimes you have to rent a car! Enterprise is my go to company wherever i am traveling.This one is located on Savannah Hwy and it's easy to get too. I took an Uber to pick up my car that I had reserved. This is where things took a turn. There wasn't any cars! None! And there was a large group of folks in front of me. When i was finally able to talk to an employee of course he apologized about there being no cars, so I asked him the big question, "Why?" His answer was so silly it was, "not sure they all seem to be rented out" Amazing right?Anyway I was a bit mad since I had a reserved pickup time. After about an hour another young man came up to me and told me the type car I wanted wasn't available would I take the next available. Told him yes, which I shouldn't have! The car I received 20 minutes later was smaller than what I wanted and i wasn't offered a coupon for a free upgrade in the future or a discount on this rental. On the bright side the tiny tin can got great mileage! A bit tight but my bride and i made it work. Will i use them again? Enterprise yes, this location, not sure. SCAMMERS! I recently got into an accident and my car needed to be serviced. My insurance company told me that they can pay for my rental but didn't inform me of the $50 per day cap. Enterprise knew of the cap obviously and went on to put me in the most expensive vehicle they could without ever giving me a choice. I just assumed this was the vehicle decided by my insurance company. Turns out I was being charged multiple payments, of $62, $35, and $12 (on top of the $50 deposit which I was aware of). When I finally realized I was being charged I called my insurance company, who in turn called enterprise to set things straight. I was/am highly disappointed in their scammy services. I then had to call enterprise myself and request a return and refund which I have yet to receive. They also tried to tell me that the $62 payment included the deposit, which is a complete lie. I have a separate $50 transaction from the day of, which is the deposit. Now I have to go back to the location and light a fire under their a** again because I AM NOT PAYING FEES THAT I NEVER AGREED TO. SCAMMERS! Be sure to double check everything they do if you absolutely have to use their services. I recommend avoiding this company at all costs. SCAMMERS!!! read more
