The sales office was helpful to get the transaction completed. However, when Hertz gets their money, there is absolutely ZERO contact. Try calling the sales office...goes to voicemail whose inbox is full. Try emailing agents...ghosted. I had to resort to writing a google script which would send an email every hour to ask for the paperwork to finally close the sale and get my temp tags and registration. In the meantime, until the sale was closed, I was getting charged $100 every day that the rental wasn't either returned or officially purchased. To the credit of the sales office, they did eventually respond and sent the paperwork. I am still bewildered at how I managed to fill out a purchase order and wire money, only to be sent the EXACT SAME purchase order electronically days later electronically. At this point I already wired the money and thought the contract was signed. Overall very pleased with my purchase, but not pleased at all with the sales office in Cincinnati. Future purchases from Hertz will avoid this office.

Another couple in an old van also arrived at the same time we did stating that they had reservations to pick up on Saturday. Website hours stated that they were open on Saturday starting June 18. Sign on window stated they were open on Saturdays. Google stated that they were open on Saturday. But on a piece of paper taped up sign on the door said they were closed on Saturdays. I did the online check-in ahead of time, never received a call or any contact stating that they were closed and that we wouldn't be able to pick up our rental, and I continued to receive confirmation emails about our Saturday 9 AM pick up Rental. We were very fortunate to have a car that we could take on vacation, but the couple in the van next to us did not. I called customer service and spent every bit of 45 minutes online with them while they tried to find another car for us, to no avail. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with renting a car. If I could give HERTZ a negative 100 star rating, I surely would. Nothing was offered aside from refunding our money. It was just like a shoulder shrug... Sorry we are closed guess you'll have to figure it out on your own. Just for curiosity's sake, I tried to make another reservation on a Saturday and had no issue doing so even though they are apparently closed on Saturdays. Above and beyond exceptional customer service!…read more I had to rent a car as part of an auto claim. The only car available on a Friday afternoon was a full size truck. My insurance would only cover a car. I called the insurance company and explained all they had available was a truck that would cost $30 more / day. Insurance said tough luck (and I understand that) and wanted me to call around to other rental shops to check availability at 5:00 on a Friday. I was exasperated after a long day of dealing with the aftermath of a car accident and coordinating repairs. Buddy at Enterprise told me to just take the truck and head home and that they would work something out on their end. I headed home. I called Miles the next day and he told me that Enterprise was covering the difference in cost between the insurance payment and the cost of the truck. I was floored. I would have never expected that! They were sacrificing profit in the name of customer service. They would have been totally in their right to collect the difference (from me if it came to that), but they went above and beyond to satisfy a customer who was in a tough spot. I'll rent from Enterprise forever and highly recommend this particular shop in West Chester!!

The POS wouldn't go up hills very well and wouldn't hold the cruise control at all.... sometimes it was 4-5mph below, sometimes up to 7mph over the setpoint! And with this lack of power you would think the turd would get decent gas mileage, but NO - it averaged ONLY 22mpg! LOL, my full sized truck with a 400hp engine gets that in the city! Then, only 30 minutes before my scheduled pickup time, I was called and told that they did not have the vehicle I had reserved--for a trip I was already preparing to leave for. This kind of last-minute notification is unacceptable, especially after proactively confirming the reservation in advance. A reservation should mean the vehicle is available, or at the very least, that the company communicates issues well ahead of time so customers can make alternate arrangements. Calling half an hour before pickup shows a complete lack of planning and disregard for customers' time and travel commitments. This situation caused unnecessary stress and disruption to my travel plans. I expected far better communication and reliability from a national rental company. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously impacted my trust in Avis, and I will think twice before booking with them again.

This same woman gave me the middle finger and yelled at me when I tried to tell her I was preferred. I definitely will be making a formal complaint.
