I reserved a car rental from this location. They were advertising luxury vehicles for less than their economy cars, which should have been a red flag. Cheapest price in the area. When I got to the office to pick up my car (on time), first they said they had no luxury cars available, and that it would be an HOUR wait, because there were 2 people ahead of me. I expected this. I asked what cars they did have. NONE. They had no rental cars on the lot. Despite the fact they had reservations, multiple customers in the store. I asked when their car drop offs were scheduled, he said he didn't have any drop offs that day. I have a lot of things to do before leaving town today. So recorded what happened, asking them why they were still advertising the fictional rate, which caused the manager to run away. An enterprise employee gave me a ride back home in what appeared to be a rental SUV. I didn't want to rent an SUV, but it didn't escape my notice that they had at least one vehicle available, and were not offering to customers as a replacement rental. I recommend avoiding this location if you value your time. I've rented here several times before, and it was not like this. You had to pay standard prices, and the car was ready to pick up. The fact that luxury is the cheapest vehicle means that they will fill it with whatever is available at another location. Since even the economy car is priced higher, you can't complain about them downgrading the vehicle and you're stuck in a tin can with 4 wheels or a gas hog SUV. read more

I had no idea there was an Enterprise location in College Park. Sad thing is that I did drive by this for almost two years without even noticing it. Probably for good reason. Inside, you are so close to Route 1 that it sounds like you are sitting in the middle of the road. The signage could be better, that way more people would know it sits there. The reason for my visit here was because I was hit while driving recently and I was getting a rental for when my vehicle was in the shop. This was a very enjoyable experience. It started by them picking me up at the body shop and taking me back to their location. While there I was going to be given a sedan but after some back and forth with the insurance company they made sure I had an SUV to match my vehicle being worked on. The staff were perfect and walked me through each step of the way. Soon enough I was out the door into a vehicle and set free. The vehicle they gave me was basically brand new and good on gas. I even had to have it extended and there was no problem with the extension. When it came time to hand the vehicle back over all I had to do was leave it at the body shop and they would come get it. The $100 hold wasn't even noticeable and back in my account in no time. read more

My rental experience with Enterprise at this location was very good. I recently had to get a rental ASAP and reserving it online, picking up my car was seamless. I love the car I was given. Great service from the staff (informative of the process and suggestions). They were kind and efficient with nice smiles. The price was fair (I wish it was cheaper) but inflation is not Enterprise's fault. Pickup and drop off were smooth. Lastly, the communication is 5 stars top-notch. They emailed me and texted me updates and next steps. Even the process of modifying my original reservation times went smoothly. I recently had to go to Enterprise due to a hit-and-run incident while I was at work. While no one enjoys going through such an experience, I must admit that the customer service provided by Essa Jagne was exceptional from start to finish. When he came to pick me up from the auto shop, he arrived with the kind of elegance you'd expect from a limousine driver, and for a moment, I felt like I was at a resort. I made a reservation to rent a mid sized suv for a specific reason. When I arrived at the COLLEGE PARK location at the time of pickup I walked in and was not acknowledged by the person sitting behind the desk,after a few minutes someone else came in the office and that is when the girl noticed I was there .she spoke and said that she would be with me after she checked in the person that came in after me. When she looked at my reservation she told me that there were no mid sized suv available and if I wanted to I could look around the lot of 13 SUV's and 4-5 sedans and regular cars , looked at a fairly large sedan and asked if the seats folded down she said she didn't know but I could check, was hesitant in accepting this vehicle because it was smaller than what i needed . I ask her if the car would be rented at the same price as the reserved vehicle and she flat out said no ,"it's a luxury sedan" it's going to cost more . I think the least she could have done was keep the price the same , I was making a compromise why couldn't she . Needless to say I left without renting a vehicle.having read the reviews on this location before hand I should've gone back to the veirs mill rd location in silver spring. I am a long time Enterprise customer but would not recommend this location and will not be returning here. Despite making an appointment, they did not have a car ready or available. Had to wait over an hour in the office and then had to be driven to another location 15 minutes away. Still had to wait 20 minutes for them to clean a vehicle, which they provided with less than a full tank of gas. Whole process that should have taken 30 minutes took almost 3 hours. This site also forced an upsell on my insurance provided rental to pocket the difference even though insurance advised them repeatedly not. The staff is friendly at first but eventually mirror their business practices as shady, deceitful and predatory. STAY AWAY! read more

Not a fan. I had a rental set up for me last week (today is 4.18.19). I dropped off my car and had to wait almost a half hour for the Enterprise van to pick me up. I could have walked faster as they are across the street from where I was (I didn't know that). When I arrived to the Enterprise shop they couldn't find my reservation, a reservation that was confirmed at the repair shop. After getting everything figured out they wanted my credit card for a deposit. Mind you, I wasn't paying for the rental. They also tried to sell me insurance, which I didn't need (no one needs some of the stuff they try to sell if you have car insurance). Finally, we walked the car, I pointed out a few dings and they told me they didn't matter. I am guessing if I returned the car with those dings they would matter. I made a reservation made on July 28 for a UMD visitor for pick up Aug 4 at 8am, return on Aug 5 same location at 7:30am, because I was told they do not have after hours drop off on Aug 4. Called them on Aug 3 and try to change return location to DCA instead of College Park, but I was told they cannot do the change and that to call DCA location. At this call, I was told there is now drop off after business hours in College Park, but with a fee. Confusion: no drop off after hours, and then there is a drop off, but with a fee!!! DCA location was able to change return to DCA on Aug 5. College Park location called visitor on Aug 3, the night before pick up, and was told that they cannot accept UMD rate, and that a car was not available for pick up at 8am. They offer a car at Noon. From visitor Aug 3: "Enterprise called me with two pieces of information. First, they cannot honor the UMD rate. Second, they cannot guarantee the availability of a car at the time of reservation. They are offering at noon." Is something wrong with this picture?! read more

The staff is very friendly. When they are mobbed they communicate with everyone to let them know it'll be slow but they will get you in a car. They will call within 24 hours to let you know if they will not have a car. I watched them handle frustrated customers and people end content with everything. Slow, a lot of waiting in the empty office not knowing when an employee will show up at the counter. Really bad customer service/attitudes, like they're doing ME a favor by showing up. Also, the times I called, the phone just rang and rang, didn't even go to voicemail. And for a company with the slogan "We'll pick you up!" - they sure don't! Refused to pick me up from home to help get me to the business. Then when I brought the rental back, they refused a ride to the garage. I ended up paying for Ubers both ways, after my insurance adjuster and the garage had both said that Enterprise provides rides to and from. I don't know about other locations, but this is one to avoid. So frustrating! read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!! Absolutely dreadful. Rented a car to drive to UMD and came here to return it since it was close to campus. It has been over 45 minutes with no employee in the building to help out. The phone has been ringing non stop. There are still 3 people ahead of me. All who are getting very irritated for this unnecessary wait. There was an employee who left not giving any update on what is happening. I had a car from ERAC for 13 days, which was nearly always parked in my drive way, parked rear in at work away from other cars, or parked at the end of the lot when out in public to avoid damage. Today I dropped off the car, with no issue. 6 Hours later I received a call from the ERAC in College Park, MD from Jeff stating they had the car and there was damage to the rear hatch below the window of a KIA Soul. He stated someone must have backed into me...Really Jeff? What type of vehicle can back in and hit a car 4 feet+ up and not do any other damage let alone a small crease. No problem he said, I had my rental coverage... Which I was told when I picked up the car would be $25. Not $25 a day, but $25. If I was told it would be $25 why in the world would I keep it (besides making sure I didn't get scammed on damages like the countless other people you can find on the Internet. My issue is that this damage is bogus, and that I shouldn't have been charged $25 a day for this car. I was called one time over the entire 13 days with the car, despite the fact I originally took the car out for 1 day only. I wasn't called to be checked on before day 10, yet they found the time to authorize 6 holds on my credit account, 4 of which are over my limit (how does that work). I have been dealing with this ERAC location for many years. In the past I would have given it 5 stars, but over the course of 3 years their customer service has been lacking in that: no one EVER answers their phone, I have rec'd (even from the Asst. Mgr.) inconsistent answers about pricing and discounts, some of the cars I have received have smelled AWFUL and have been dirty/greasy. For the most part they are very professional and quick once you get your turn, but in the interim the lines are long and the wait is unreasonable -- it seems there are not enough staff to assist in the process. I have never had a problem with bogus charges as stated from a few other users, but I will be vigilant . They need more personnel at all times, and it would help if they were open on Sunday even half the day. read more

I had reserved my car online using a government rate, and when I explained to Tarik that I had recently gotten in an accident and that's why I was getting a rental car, he adjusted my paperwork to an insurance rate and saved me even more money! I became the victim of a fraudulent damage claim after renting a car from the College Park location in January 2012. I would advise you to avoid Enterprise at all costs. If you do rent a car from Enterprise, be sure to bring your digital camera and thoroughly document the pre- and post- rental condition of the car. Do not be lured by the laid back attitude of the agent when you first inspect the car for pre-existing damage; that attitude will be gone when you return the car. Luckily I have photographic evidence. Short ... not so sweet! Do not, I mean do not .... Come to this location! They are horrible. The only positive thing about this location was the woman working at the front desk. She was incredible. Very nice, sweet, and was incredibly accommodating, well as much as she could be. Point.Blank.Period, if you lose her, this location is a sinking ship. The men transporting the vehicles are very careless and have attitudes. Also, when they "cleaned" my rental, they did a horridness job! I literally went to the car wash right after because I didn't want to ride around for a whole week in a dirty car. Even the inside was nasty; it was sticky and crumbs were everywhere. How is it that I returned my rental in better condition than when I received it? ARE YOU SERIOUS? You guys owe me $50 bucks for my extensive detail on YOUR car. SMH. I loaned a car through this establishment in February through the Nissan dealership after having a recall issue.... Everything went well until a few weeks went by and I saw that my credit card statemt said they charged me an extra $600 ... I called & they kindly gave me a refund in full...& after a month or so, they added the charge back! They told me they charged me the $600 because even though know I told them I didn't want the insurance, I didn't go into the office to tell them that I did not Want the insurance... So now I have to get an attorney involved... Long story short, don't go to this place if you can avoid it, do... It'll save you a lot in the long run! read more

Enterprise rented me a car that slid every time I tried to stop in the snow. I had to limp back at 3mph to return the car early to Enterprise from the area around the university, but still at that speed I was sliding when I tried to stop. The other cars on the road had better tires and were cruising past me at 20+ mph. I have no problem with the people who work there, but the car was dangerous in any kind of snowy conditions. After I brought the car back early I was stuck in the nearby Super 8 hotel without a car. I drove in Boston for 15 years, and I can tell when a car has tires fit for the northeast. read more

When renting a car, I look for well maintained vehicles and staff that are thorough and accurate working with my rental contract. I've used Enterprise in College Park several times. Mostly when my car is in for service but still need a vehicle. This time, it was because my car hit while parked and got totalled. The rental agents have always been professional and courteous--while still appearing to have a good time at their jobs. My cars from this location (despite the rather unappealing facade of the building from Baltimore ave) have been perfect--in like-new condition. Charges have always appeared correct. Deducted one star for sometimes inconsistent "pick-up" service from a residence to the rental office or from the rental office back to my residence. read more

The time I waited to get my rental and drop off my rental, they could of had me in and out but with them taking phone calls in the middle of my transaction wasn't the best move. I would of rather had some one else who wasn't helping me answer phones instead of just standing there. The next thing doesn't have to do with the location its Enterprises in general. The prices for a vehicle is way to high. I wanted something small and reasonable for the price. If I have known I would be paying over $300 overall for a 4day rental I would've went to a competitor. I experienced discrimination at this location. Here is the story: So I made a reservation for a rental pickup through my company's account. I was told to bring my driver's license and credit card information with me to pickup the vehicle.. On arrival the agent requested my credit card, and license which I gave him.. Few minutes later he requested for me to provide him my employment verification, I asked why he needed an employment verification, and he responded they have experienced a lot of people using fraudulent means to obtain discounts, and he needed to verify that I am not one of them.. I took offense to the request because he made an assumption that I wasn't employed by my employer, despite my company's account being listed on the the reservation; nevertheless, I tried to comply with his request, and he insisted that I provide a business card (Which I don't have), Email sent to me (Which I showed him, but wasn't enough to satisfy his request), Paystub that has my employer listed, or call my HR department to verify my employment... I called Enterprise corporate office and I was told it was against their policy to request employment verification and they would investigate the issue on my behalf, and I would be receiving a call.. I still haven't received the call. .. And btw, I am an employed Black Male in case you are wondering. =) read more

If I could I would give negative 5 star review! Seems like people that work here treat you based upon what you wear.I mean specifically this Tiera lady. The reason I say that is because that is how I felt. I felt i was being treated different wearing an office outfit, which was when first rented, opposing to when I returned the car and went in with a messy bun and jeans. Don't you dare have a question about your bill!!I was told "is on your bill, mam" There is no communication between employees working different shifts. I started renting few days at a time since I had no idea how long it will take to finish the repairs on my car. Now, I specifically asked "do I have to call all the time to extend my rental, or a note can be put in your system to just charge my credit card if car not returned in time for that business day?" I was told "yes, mama no worries, no need to call we can charge your card". Well that sounded too good to be true.Next thing I know I have to go in anyways because my car had some type of leak in the tire and had to add air constantly.I go in to the location I am told by this girl Tiera, I think her name was, " no one knows how long you keep your car, you were suppose to return 3 days ago" what happened with the NOTE IN THE SYSTEM???.I explained another coworker gave me that info, hence why I didn't call to extend and that was not my fault for whatever was in system today.She proceed to say "MAAAM...THAT IS NOT MY FAULT EITHER!!" WHAT?? So I say ok...but you guys know what cars need to be returned daily you could always give a courtesy call, right?? The answer " I don't know what cars needs to be returned everyday, your cost for 4 extra days is $180" How if my daily rate was under $20?? She caught an attitude again and I was already frustrated so I told her to go ahead charge whatever thinking I will figure it out at the end. Hmmm...mind it all this conversation because I came in for safety reasons to have the tire checked. That is not it,at the time of returning the rental not only I was not acknowledged entering the building, the same lady kept helping other people and greeting other people while I was waiting.RUDE!!! But by then I already knew she didn't like me lol A gentleman finally went out to check the car and proceeded to check me out, but I think he was just starting out so had to ask same Tiera a question I get my receipt and when I ask a question I get another dismissive answer " it is on the bill"( Tiera again) What customer service is that? You would think nightmare was over??? Nooo...this people were trying to charge me an extra $100, the so called security deposit.Mind it no one ever explained to me their payment policy. Thankfully I called back at the location to speak with a guy and he explains.What didn't make sense to me is why I wasn't explained all this when I signed the rental agreement??? And why do you charge me security deposit after I had already returned the vehicle, no damages whatsoever?? Too much drama and attitudes. I WILL NEVER USE THIS LOCATION AGAIN. An absolute nightmare. Please read and avoid, if you could, renting from Enterprise. I have previously heard horror stories about Enterprise, so when I picked up my one-way rental car from Pennsylvania, I paid attention to the scratches around the car, and the agent in PA was pretty good at taking notes (although he did not inform me of any of the ``damage evaluator'' stuff.) When I arrived at the College Park branch, the manager Keaghlan Wolfe did the walk-through with me. She pointed out two dents in the hood, which I honestly couldn't see even after she pointed out to me. Then I told her the PA branch staff did not inform me of such dents. She made a phone call to the PA branch, saying:" You know the dents you often see on those Nissans..." I tried to tell her that 1) The dents were almost invisible 2) The other agents did not inform me of what I should check before I drove the car away (seriously, how do you expect an average driver to know these details compared to these professionals in car rental places who probably go through special trainings to spot any minute issues.) 3) She needed to show me that the dents are indeed larger than the golfball measure. She did not provide any helpful information. She didn't even provide me with a copy of damage claim she filed against me, saying "It will take twenty minutes to print. You can wait.", to which I asked "Could you please email me the copy?" The reply was "No. And please step aside, I need to help the other customers." Feeling frustrated and not seeing this could go anywhere, I allowed her to charge my credit card for $1000.00 to cover the invisible dents she claimed she saw. I am still waiting to hear back from Enterprise Repair Shop people to know how much I will wind up paying for those... read more

Just rented a car and was given this car with barely 1/4 tank of gas. I am supposed to bring it back with about 1/4 tank of gas! This means every day I have to estimate when my car will be done at the body shop and how much gas should I put in so I can return it with the right amount of gas! Of course, this way Enterprise benefits from the likely possibility it will be returned with more gas than it had when you got it. What happened to the sensible policy of get the car with a full tank of gas and return it full or pay for the used gas! This message belongs to whomever makes policy at Enterprise. read more
