I received this rental car while mine was being repaired after it was hit in a parking lot. Insurance paid for this nightmare. When I arrived to pick it up I was told that I was early and would have to wait until my appointment time. I left and returned an hour later but ended up sitting in the lobby while they "cleaned something up for me." It took over an hour to get the car. The employees did not care about making me wait. Rented a car from enterprise in KC, dropped it off at this location and was informed that there was a "large dent" on the roof and they filed an incident report. No one did an initial walkthrough in KC, but I feel like even if we did I wouldn't have noted a dent on the roof of the SUV. I couldn't even see the "large dent." These are pictures of it. He kept saying to feel free to call them if there was any confusion with their damage department. The confusion is why I'm being held responsible for a "large dent" that I can't even see. One of the other employees said there was a chance it was there before but they continued to file the claim saying that I am the responsible party. Absolutely bogus and I'm sure it is going to be a headache to deal with as it gets processed. Feels like a scam. read more

They charged me for a $250 for cleaning. There were no grounds for the car needing to be cleaned. The desk told me they were open 10am-10pm. The website says they close at 1pm. I called to dispute the charged and had to call an outside office and was told I would be called in "a little while". One hour passed and no call. I called again and was told the same thing. They also charged me yo fill up the tank, when I did fill the tank directly before returning the car. This is the only option for rental cars at the Columbia, MO airport. Feeling VERY scammed at the moment. I do not recommend using this Enterprise. Next time I will take an Uber and save myself money and a headache. read more

BE WARNED, if you: 1 - lived in the same address for the last 10yrs their validation system may comeback as "unverified," 2 - want to pay with a debit card, they require 3-forms of ID (License, insurance, paystub), 3 - have ANY sort of trouble with how they treat you or handle conflict you can finally speak to a narcissistic psychopath (owner?manager?) with no sort of resolution plan of an arising trouble throughout the day - this kid literally tried walking away after circular arguments and blaming it 1st on IT and then on the customer (for living in the same address for 10yrs). You have to chase this guy down, de-escalate, bargain, and explain managerial responsibilities as customers (myself in this instance) who live here for extended periods of time only to have there address "unverified" as it relates to management's self-reported ongoing problem. If there is a problem with ID, why not addressed at the 1st instance, why isn't ownership/corporate involved? I am so disappointed with the enterprise company! I have been a costumer since 2010 & have never had any issues until today. I go online to make a reservation and get all the way through to the payment portal went to pay and it said user on DNR list. So not knowing what that may I completely freaked out and called the customer care number and they told me that I was on a do not write list for something that supposedly happened back in 2012 where they had to send out a certified letter to retrieve one of the vehicles! as a palled and complete shock I kindly explain to the woman that I have never been late on turning in a vehicle I've never kept a vehicle more than a few hours past drop off time and I've rented from them more than 20 times since 2015 so why would they continue to rent to someone if they had to retrieve a vehicle. The woman said she could not answer any of those questions and I need to call this other one 800 number and talk to someone in risk management and accounting I called the departments all day long at least 20 times left voicemail after voicemail with everybody never got a return call and now here it is DAYs before my scheduled work related trip and I am having to try to find a better comparable company in columbia. As a customer who rents from Enterprise on a monthly basis you would think they'd treat their customers with a little more respect. I was in an accident in one of their vehicles, AT NO FAULT OF MY OWN, and was treated as if it was my issue. I had to pay the deductible even after third party insurance accepted fault AND I was treated rudely when going to exchange the vehicle. I repeatedly asked for a different representative and was ignored. The girl continued to to talk over me as I explained to her I'd rather have someone who knew the situation already help me, mind you I've had the same car for 3-4 months. Finally after ignoring the representative, just as she ignored my request she finally sent someone else out. Absolutely horrible professionalism. They are not there to help you, but only take advantage of you just so they can make commission. I was polite and cordial with the staff, and when I asked the manager why I couldn't get me deposit back, he turned into a narcissistic psychopath in which i had to de escalate the situation in order for him to even cooperate with me. Keep in mind i'm the customer here, not him, and for me to be treated with this disrespect is unacceptable. One of the car rental agents that assisted me caused all this mess. He is a young male just trying to make a quick buck and he blatantly lied to me and told me I needed a roadside assistance option or any insurance coverage in order for me to rent the car. Keep in mind this is my first time renting a car, and that the agent also knows this. He still took advantage of me by telling me to choose an option in order for me to rent the car. I worked out a deal with Enterprise to rent a cargo van for a week, the week after Thanksgiving, in order to help my mother in another state scale down from a large house to a small one. Everything was worked out for a good price. Then, the day before Thanksgiving, the afternoon before a holiday weekend, Enterprise calls me up and says, "Sorry, there's a recall on that vehicle. We can't rent it to you." They couldn't do anything about it, and I'm completely screwed because nobody has anything available at a price I can afford. Thanks, Enterprise. I waited one hour to be picked up (I had made reservations 4 days in advance) and i was 5 blocks away. I would have walked, but they kept insisting they were on their way. I was so heated by the time I got there, but the guy told me I could bring the car back on empty and they would fill it to make up for the inconvenience. That made me happy. I returned the car, it was a quick process, he said he put the $50 deposit back in my checking account. I got my receipt.I was satisfied and on my way. Days later I looked at my checking account and there was a $50 debit from Enterprise. I called them up, they looked at my account and they were like "Whoops, our bad! We must have hit the debit button instead of credit! We will put that back in your account in a couple of days..." Apparently, the reciept is manually filled out and does not reflect what they actually do. I won't use them again. I think they are dishonest. How do you accidentally debit that?!
