The staff here was phenomenal. I've never dealt with as good of an Enterprise location as this one. Genuinely. Very friendly staff, the car (2024 Nissan Rogue) was new, clean, and didn't have a weird odor. Most smell like smoke or heavily perfumed but we didn't have that issue. We didn't fill the car up all the way and they didn't even charge us for it, and added a discount too. Great experience! Will be using them over the one in O'Hare any day! read more

They're over the phone customer service is stellar, but the gentleman that helped me today in person I found him to be very not interested in helping me. He only wanted to help the other customer that was talking to his coworker. Also renting a car at the same time that I was when we did our 360 we had finished. I had asked if we were gonna get the car washed he seemed to be very bothered by this and in all honesty it's not the end of the world like that I can excuse, but it's just that I feel when I go to the Algonquin location and they give me a rental car and it's even a little bit messy on the outside they will go and wash it without me even asking and they'll do it with a smile. The inside of the car is completely not clean. I had asked about how I was supposed to return the car and I guess they want me to help make their life easier and drop it off to them so they can go drop me off to go pick up my car from the collision center, but since you were so inconvenienced by cleaning the outside of the car and the inside of the car, I have no interest in making your life a little bit easier read more

Absolutely the WORST rental car company in existence. My husband and I had to rent a car for a month after our car was totaled, and we rented from the Crystal Lake and McHenry location- and had bad experiences at BOTH, so it's company wide, not just certain locations. They are incredibly expensive and annoying. They constantly emailed wanting ANOTHER 300.00 dollar deposit each week, while telling us that the previous deposit would be put back into our bank- and it never was. The are EPIC for the need another 300 dollar deposit each week so that they can hold your money, while still charging you your daily rate. Also, their car they rented us smelled like the previous renter hauled cow manure in it!! For 80 bucks a day PLUS a WEEKLY DEPOSIT? Run, run, run from this company! I have rented from Sixt before and got a BMW X3 for what these clowns charge for a standard little Kia. read more

Someone rear ended our car and worked with our insurance company to get a rental car through enterprise. It was really nice that Allstate and enterprise worked closer together to get the car ready on my behalf so all I had to do was to show up and pick up the car. When we walked in enterprise associate were extremely friendly at the counter and the process was extremely smooth. A couple signatures and was on our way to the parking lot To get the rental car. I was happy with the rental I received which was a Nissan SUV. It was a clean and was just fine our needs as we had a road trip and the extra space helped out. The best part was returning the vehicle since all we had to do was work with the repair shop to pickup our fixed up car. From there the body shop got the car back to enterprise which was really a nice process so we didn't have to juggle cars. Crystal Lake, IL enterprise has a variety of cars to rent, but once you rent one online and go pick it up, you don't get the same exact car, nor the price as expected. Most workers (not referring all) end up stealing money from your account or messing up on the car renting process form, just so they can add additional prices to the final renting stage, terrible experience I've had with enterprise recently. Algonquin location. Terrible service. I walked in and three people in front of men. No service agent at all, phone ringing off the hook. Dirty cups and water bottles on the ledge by the window. No cups for the water cooler. Poor service. My rental car had a cracked windshield which was the best they could do. State Farm hooked us up with Enterprise after a woman totaled our car. We will never use Enterprise in the future. read more

A stellar group of people at this Enterprise. We have made this specific location our go-to place for rentals when needed. I've been in places where they try to upsell, but there is never a hassle here. Easy pick-ups and drop-offs and friendly group of employees every time. Our gas expense was more than the weekly rental rate! Be it online purchase (3rd party or Enterprise), or in-store, the price always ends up being the same, so I know there are no games being played. So a quick background: I needed to return a loaner car and my car wasn't ready. I needed a car STAT to hold me over for a few days. I've also never personally rented a car before. I know, right? I called Enterprise and the call was rerouted to a call centre. I was given the details on type of car (not super picky) and the cost. It seemed a bit ridiculous so I thought I would just stop in. When I got into Enterprise, I knew I would be a few moments so I let someone go ahead of me. I noticed how kind and patient the employees were with them and when it was my turn, I was relieved that they made the process much more simple than I believed it to be, and the rate was much better than what I was quoted on the phone. I returned the loaner and was met at the auto place by a kind and friendly guy who drove back us to Enterprise. My reason for the four stars instead of 5 -- and this may be my lack of renting my own cars -- is because the car is, um, gross. There's duct tape residue on the doors (did they tape them shut at some point?) and on the windshield. The inside is pretty clean, but smells like warm garbage, until you turn the air on, and then it smells like cool garbage. All in all, I'm thankful for a reasonably priced, safe car to get me by until mine is ready. read more

Very poor communication, I went to pick up the vehicle. When I got there they told me I needed a pay stub and a utility bill. I do not carry these on me. Then I had to call and get Uber.nothing was explained when I called them. Very upset!!! read more

Due to a certain employee, Erica, who proved time and time again her dedication to her job, risking lateness for her important doctor appointment, helped her customers first. That is something I firmly believe should never have to be the case: Health should always come first. But she risked missing her appointment just to help others. I am currently driving a rental with enterprise my second in the last two months as a matter of fact, due to my car being broken into and parts taking forever to be delivered.. this crystal lake branch has been patient while working with me, clear and straight forward about what they can and can't do, the guys and gals that work there have been professional polite and gracious!! They were late to meet me for my drop off at the body shop and got me into an upgrade for the hassle!! I have to say it really has eased some of the stress of needing a rental!! New location in a new strip mall. I got an undercoating put on my car and the Honda place had these guys pick me (and a couple other customers) up, drive me up to their rental counter, and set me up in a nice Toyota (Avalon?) mini-van looking thing. I was kind of skeptical at first but when I punched it that Toyota would really take off, at least from a dead stop. Anyway the people were really friendly and trying hard to make a good impression which I think they did. The office is small and kind of spartan, just a counter and a couple stacks of brochures. The cars for rent are just parked out front in the lot mixed in with the rest of the parking lot. No frills but friendly and fast. read more

Do not trust this branch. They billed me for a month of a rental I did not have. It then took many days of calls, emails, I even had to find the video of when I returned the vehicle, for them to finally credit my charge card. They were to deliver and pick up from the Nissan dealer in town while I was getting my vehicle repaired. But they never picked up their own vehicle after I returned it. Even after I and the dealer contacted them day of return. The dealer said they have done this before. Beware. read more

I went a few days before I needed the rental to check out the leg room in a standard car (3 in our family are over 6'). Jennifer helped me that day. We decided we would fit in a sedan, I reserved it online and went in on Friday to pick up the car. Again, Jennifer was there. Knowing that we had come in earlier in the week, Jennifer offered us the standard SUV for a discounted price. On the return, I forgot to get gas. I am truly disappointed with Enterprise, and especially this branch in Crystal Lake. I noticed a small crack in the windshield that the sun visor covered up about ten minutes after I left their facility. I immediately called the branch as I was in the car driving and told them that this small crack was not caught in our walk around the car. They told me not to worry about it and they said that it wasn't my fault (which clearly wasn't). A couple weeks later they send me an $800.00 bill because they replaced the windshield and that I was held responsible for this. For nearly three months I've been calling them to get this resolved and nobody will help me resolve this matter in a fair way. I am so disappointed and upset about the lying and false cajoling that this company does. If my matter doesn't get resolved soon, I will never rent for Enterprise again, and I will tell all people I know about my horrible experience! read more
