Told them of my completely awful experience with the Dawsonville location, and they shook their head and acknowledged the Dawsonville location is trash. This is the place to rent a car if you want honesty, as they deliver on their promises, and honor your reservation. Thank you for a very positive experience. Never Again! On the morning of May 24th, I went a car from this location. When I arrived the attendant asked me for a payment card and my driver's license, which I presented. She then in inappropriately asked me where I worked and what I did. I answered, although I was confused about why I was being asked that question. After checking my identification, she asked me for my address, which was different from the address on the card because I had moved. She proceeded to ask me how long I had lived at the location and I said that it's been about a year. But this line of questioning was unusual for renting a car. I had just rented a car the previous month from Enterprise and was asked NONE of these questions. I used the same platform and same card to rent a car from Enterprise a month ago with ZERO problems. Then she proceeded to ask me for three references in lieu of a credit check. This policy was weird to me...and seemed impromptu because she handed me a small notepad and not a proper form for the references. I had experienced none of this hassle when renting a car from Enterprise a month ago. At this point, I was getting angry. I had never been asked for so much information to rent a car before. She then asked for proof of insurance. Asking if I could present my personal insurance information as proof of that I was insured. In addition, she even asked what my causality insurance amount was. I don't often look at my insurance information so I had to consult my husband about the amount (in our personal car) and the digital insurance information location. I went back inside and told her that my insurance was through Geico and that I thought the questions she was asking me were totally inappropriate. After urging her to continue the transaction, she took me out to the car and then suddenly disclosed that I had a 250 deposit on the car that was not a part of my cost breakdown. She then "forgot" the right payment system for my card, which was a standard debit card from Bank of America. Frustrated, I told her I was not going pay a deposit on the car for the full cost of the rental for the weekend. That's ridiculous! My total was around $500 plus dollars for the car. I could have paid the cost, but the inappropriate questioning and the sudden $250 charge that only appeared in the fine print of print of the statement was extremely dishonest. If these rules had been standard, I would have happily followed them, but asking for personal information about my job, position, personal contact information, and my in-depth insurance information was not normal and have never happened to me EVER at a Enterprise location. But I guess we can't be surprised that in Cumming there are some "rules" for some an not others. Below is the car I was suppose to rent and the attendant who "helped me". read more

After my rebuffed attempt to rent a car for a day at Avis ( see my earlier review), I tried my luck at Enterprise. Not only did they rent me a car, it took only 10 minutes to be on the road. I returned it at 11am today, and they were politely efficient and thankful for my business. read more

Your rep that handled our rental was very accommodating. He understood our needs of having to have a larger vehicle due to having a wheelchair. Everything was very smooth on both renting and returning. When I read your previous reviews of a year or so ago, it made me very hesitant. My wife's car was totaled yesterday while I was working a twenty four hour shift. This morning, which is a Saturday, after picking her up & running errands we headed out to get a rental car. Most closed at 12pm on Sat but this one was open until 2pm so score for us. We hurry there and I have my credit card, which is fine. I had an address change on my license about 2 weeks earlier and I still had the paper license bc DMV had not gotten my permanent copy to me yet. Well, the DMV knuckleheads out the date I was AT the DMV as the expiration date of the paper license. Really stupid. So, I'm trying to rent a car with an expired paper license and a credit card with my name on it. Now, my wife has a valid license and she was going to be driving the car anyway. Nope, they said, that won't work. They needed the name on the license to match the name on the credit card. The last names match! Nope, sorry. Next phase, of this debacle. We call our son in law to drive all the way from Gainesville to rent us a car with his matching license and credit card. Wouldn't you know that he's going to be there about 2:02pm. Remember, they close at 2pm. We've been there since before 1pm. Their response? "The computers shut down at 2pm". In other words, sorry you've been here all day and we did absolutely nothing to help you but we're also not going to spot you a couple of minutes to get your car because our computers apparently turn into pumpkins at 2pm every Sat. That's a customer service rating of zero, folks. Right next door to this useless Enterprise Rent A Car is Avis/Budget. Turns out they're open until 3 on Sat. Guess what else. Our son in law arrives and WE DIDN'T EVEN NEED HIM! Turns out that Avis/Budget it's a bunch of weasels and my wife's ID and my credit card were just fine to rent her a nice Subaru to get the kids around while I'm at work and her car is in the shop being evaluated after a collision that wasn't even her fault. The wreck was yesterday, which made that a bad day. Turns out Enterprise and their customer NON SERVICE made the following day awful as well. Do not waste your time with these morons.
