When a driver hits your car while you are backing into a parking spot, that makes for a bad day. When their insurance pays for the car repair and the rental car, that frown turns upside down! I dropped off my vehicle at the collision center and right across the street I encountered the Enterprise Rent-A-Car office. They had already contacted me to confirm the pickup and it was very simple to ease on down the road driving a Chevy Malibu. Was awesome to try out this vehicle for a few days. The collision shop made rapid progress on my vehicle so when I visited the collision center, Enterprise had advised me I could just leave the rental car there which was super convenient! After getting back home with my vehicle, I came to the conclusion I had left my phones USB charging cable in the Malibu rental. A quick call to Enterprise to confirm they had it already and I could come by to pick it up. Cue the song "reunited" read more

The customer service here was fantastic. I rent cars from a lot of places and this has been my best experience.

The customer service was nice here and it was a quick process overall. I will say that I am very disappointed in the quality of the car I was given. The tires were very ruin down to the point where it was a safety hazard. I purposely didn't drive the rental one day because it was raining and was nervous with the low tread tires. They really need to take better care of their cars and do proper maintenance especially in regards to safety considerations. I didn't have time to take the car back to get another one and shouldn't have to take the time to do that. Whatever car I get as a rental should be properly prepared to drive. read more

I tried to make a reservation to rent a car this morning. I tried to create an account and it said I already had one, and took me to the log in page. It said my details were not recognized and to call a 1-800 number. After sitting on hold for ten minutes the "Customer Service" rep said I didn't have an Enterprise account, but I did have a National account and that was the end of her "assistance". I asked her what I needed to do to have them take my money and rent a car to me and she couldn't answer. read more

Awful company and awful branch. My wife rented a car for a week for business. I went to pick it up. After we returned home I went to get a copy of the bill. I was informed that the invoice was changed into my name. After asking them to please put it back into my wife's name so she could get it okayed by her boss, they told me they would not. Been renting cars for years and never had this problem before. Explained that she made reservation and I used her card when I picked it up they still would not even try to help me. And then I noticed that they charged us for an extra day. Again been renting for many years and as long as car is back before start of next business day they never charged me for an extra day. Enterprise corporate couldn't even find the invoice. They didn't want to help me either. Car was returned after hours but still the same day. Couldn't have rented it out if I walked in right at closing because it needed to be cleaned but they didn't even want to hear me. Never will rent from these jerks again. read more

Rented a 2015 Malibu for 2 weeks for a trip to NY. It was a very nice car and gave us excellent gas mileage. The rate was excellent as I rented from another Rent-a-Car company in May. Half the time, same price. The folks were great to deal with. Called before my pick-up date to assure all was well and review the contract. It truly was as good as it gets! PS did have a minor issue with the car; one of the tires kept going low, took it to the Enterprise in NY and they took care of it right away. These guys do go out of their way to help travelers. read more

Worst experience ever,  had family come into town who called and reserved a rental prior to coming in with this location.  Family member was lied to saying everything was fine only to be denied their rental once here.  Called and talked to the district manager who was rude and denied any wrong doing over the phone. I 100% will not recommend this place anymore to any of my customers or friends. read more

This place will tell you one thing and charge for another. I rented a car from Wednesday to Monday. Specifically asked the gentleman this is till Monday YES MA'AM. Take the car back Monday morning. You are not getting your full refund you kept it a day over. That was not what was agreed on. The car was dirty no floor mats in the car. Enterprise Car Rental in Cumming is very unprofessional, and has no integrity. I made a reservation at 8:00 AM on Monday via their online system for a car on the following day. After the system upsold me on an upgrade, the system then sent me an email confirmation. I then followed up with a telephone call directly to the rental location to schedule a pickup. At which time the Enterprise representative explicitly confirmed to me that I was within their pickup zone, and that I should call them fifteen minutes before my pickup on the following day. Fast forward approximately 32 hours... On Tuesday at 4:00 I called Enterprise to schedule a pickup. Only at this time did the store MANAGER inform me that "We have no vehicles, and you are not within our pickup zone anyway." This was totally unacceptable that they should wait until the last minute to inform me of their egregious error...and not until I CALLED THEM! They did not even have the professional courtesy to call me in advance to give me time to locate alternative transportation. Now...I have an important prospective customer meeting on Wednesday morning in Chattanooga, which I cannot get to. When I voiced my consternation and indignation for Enterprise's total diserespect for my time and my business needs, the INSIPID MANAGER informed me that "I do not have to listen to this, and I can refuse to make this transaction." Are you kidding me?!?! You just informed me that you were "refusing to keep your commitment that you made to me," and now you threaten to "not do business with" me? What a MORON! While it has NEVER happened to me with National Car Rental, I do understand when cars don't get returned, and reservations get buggererd up. This rude store manager's attitude, however, has single-handedly caused me to FOREVER BOYCOTT Enterprise Car Rental. and...btw...Enterprise...FYI...I have already reached 175,000 miles of business travel (again) this year; and have already had 77 rental car days this year. I rent regularly from Enterprise. Over the past 5+ years I have found them to be both professional and personal. They understand my reasons for renting and the work to find the best possible fit for my needs. I hate the cost of the insurance! I often travel out of state for business and the interstate is a common place for random mishaps. It would be great to have an option that does not double the cost of the rental! When we got to Enterprise it was surprisingly easy to get in and out in a timely fashion and the nice (British?) gentleman even gave us a little larger of a car for the same price. I got in and out pretty quick. The dealership paid for the rental. I was in a hurry and really did not care about what I got, until I was out of the parking lot. The seats were pretty naughty like a dog had given birth on the ones in the front and back. It also smelled like a smoking lounge, like the ones at Washington Dulles that contain all the smokers in a glass room. I made an online reservation for a cheapo Nissan Versa or similar for 3 days. I ended up with a Dodge Caliber which was a slight upgrade at no additional charge. The service was fast and friendly with no pressure to add additional insurance or coverage. It only took a few minutes and I was in the car and off to my weekend adventures out of state. Monday at 5:30 must be a bad time to return a car because there was a cluster of us trying to return and a cluster trying to pick up. They were well staffed but it still wasn't enough to handle the rush so I ended up waiting a while. I made sure to fill that gas tank back to where it was when I picked it up, I actually returned it with a little extra. While several cars were being checked in at once, a customer behind me was telling them he called earlier about being a little late and supposedly they were going to give him the pre pay fuel price since he called? The Enterprise rep said "I didn't even charge you". WTF, why did I just bust my ass to get here on time with the car refueled when you let this other guy completely off the hook? Other than the unfair service pissing me off, I was happy with my rental. read more

The staff at Enterprise are the BEST! Professional, courteous and friendly. However, they need to pay more attention to the cleanliness and maintenance of their fleet. My recent vehicle rental was less than clean. Stale french fries under the seat. The faint smell of human urine in the back seat. An annoying rattle emanating from somewhere withing the vehicle (for 8 hours). I had to clean the interior windows myself. Very disappointing. I had the worst service available. I had an accident and had rental coverage on my policy. My insurance company made me a reservation for me to drop my car off then get a rental. When I called they said they had no cars available for me and could be 3-5 days before they had a car. I told them I had a reservation and gave them the info, but they said that didn't make a difference. You call an 800 number and they said they have cars, but when you call the location they say they have none. So I called the body shop and said it would be a few days before I could get a car, so I would be a few more days before I dropped it off. He then called enterprise and called me back and said he had a car for me. I was so grateful for that. But the car was smaller than what we a reservation for and they said to come back on Monday and they would have a bigger car. Guess what. Yes, you got that right. They had no cars and could not tell when they would, but they would call me. Guess what I never got a call, but knew they had cars, because I drove by that location everyday and they had cars, lots of cars. When I called again, they said they were taken and waiting pick up. So for two weeks I had to drive a smaller car, but they charged the insurance company for the larger car. I know need a car for a family trip, but will never even consider using Enterprise again. We rented a convertible and paid a premium price to enjoy our weekend. I had to clean the interior myself and also had a terrible cigarette smoke smell that would not go away. It was so bad that it was strong with the top down on the highway. At first I didn't notice because they had tried cover it up with "smell good" cleaner/perfume. We were taking a weekend trip out of town and a couple of hours down the road we began to be annoyed by the smell. The next day our goal was to work with another local branch where we were out of town to swap the car out but were told that it wasn't their responsibility and we should handle the issue with our local branch. We purchased deodorizer and spent and afternoon working on the seats, floor mats and all the carpeting, we even had to deodorize the smell out of the trunk. I'm glad I could do their job for them... First I am tired of having to bring documents in to prove who I am and where I live. Have rented cars from them many many times in the past both personal and professional. Second this location has so many cars that it is ridiculous. They are parked all over the place my car the inside had coke or something that had not been cleaned up. The car itself was dirty the windshield had bugs splatter all over etc. I see numerous reviews about dirty cars. Maybe if you don't have so many or get a bigger lot with some more help you could fix that. While on my trip out of state i heard something strange coming from the rear. On a Saturday I stopped in the local Enterprise where I was visiting and they were closed in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. Now to the staff I am giving 2 for the things above if i could give 5 stars just to the staff I would (except the guy who is supposed to wash the cars). I rent automobiles from this location 3 or 4 times per year. I have yet to have a satisfying experience. When checking in it is often chaotic and overly busy. Some of the agents seem happy to help you. The car's are guaranteed to be 2 years old or newer. While this is the case the condition of the cars is below expectations (stained, stinky, at times not cleaned out from last rental).. I rent from airport locations 15+ times per year and the service and quality of Enterprise / National at an airport location is significantly higher. My most recent rental experience was that I called ahead to ensure they had a vehicle that would seat 5 adults and they confirmed the vehicle. When I arrived 2 hours later they did not have the appropriate vehicle. They offered to upgrade me to a higher level vehicle and charged me for it. read more

Overall, Enterprise staff do a great job. We rented a Taho to go to Destin. 3 days into the trip, the back door would not shut, the locking piece was engaged and would not release to close the door. Since our car was in demand, Enterprise found me a place with another Taho but is was over an hour away. I was able to swap out the Taho at a nearby airport for a smaller model and Enterprise did make a cost adjustment for the trouble. However, I am now dealing with Enterprise wanting to charge me for the "damage" to the door, which was not our fault but a defect in the door. Nothing we did caused it, nor anything could have prevented. I filed a claim with Amex, so I will see how much this will cost me. I think it is kind of a joke to be charged for this type of issue, even though if you read the fine print you are charged for anything that goes wrong with the car regardless of fault. I will base my future business with Enterprise on how this claim is handled. If they are fair, I will be back. If I feel that what they are doing is not fair, I will no longer rent from them.
