Three Years of Frustration -- and Now Nearly $2,800 Lost I've been a customer at Beaver Toyota in Cumming for about three years. I bought a car from them, which included free oil changes, so I've stuck with them for service. I've always rooted for this place, even when things were massively inconvenient. But today felt different -- like I was just being jerked around. Every oil change here turns into a 3-5 hour wait, even when they say it'll be two. One time, after an oil change, I ended up with a major oil leak. I had to add 4.5 quarts myself. I brought it back -- they said they couldn't find anything. Meanwhile, I had oil all over my garage and my friends' driveways. Eventually, they told me to take it to Porsche. Porsche removed the underbody panels and oil poured out. The damage was extensive. I paid over $2,700 to get it fixed. Their opinion? Someone at Beaver Toyota likely caused the issue during a prior oil change. I avoided going back -- until today. I scheduled another oil change and told them about everything that had happened. I was told it would be two hours. Two hours and twenty minutes later, the car hadn't even been started. An hour after that, still nothing. I asked about reimbursement and was told they weren't responsible. I asked to speak to the GM -- he wasn't there. They even asked for my paperwork from Porsche. I declined, in case this has to go to small claims. When I wouldn't share it, their manager said he'd just call Porsche himself to get it. I checked -- Porsche said absolutely not, and that they were aware of this individual's reputation. I don't think the staff are bad people -- they're friendly, and I've always tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt. But there's a pattern of inefficiency, lack of accountability, and today crossed a line. I'm just a regular guy who's now out almost $2,800. That's a lot of money to me. It hurts. And it just doesn't feel right -- especially from a dealership that's expanding and clearly doing well. I don't want drama. I just want a resolution. Decent pricing and easy enough to do a deal, but broken promises on services after the sale. I was told AFTER I had signed the deal on my car that it only had 1 key. Salesman, Fernando, promised he would get another. Mind you this was a $70k used car. After I get the car home I'm told I have to go get the key from the Lexus dealer (2 hours away) and they will reimburse me for 1/2 of the cost of the key. Not a big deal financially, just a crappy way of doing business. If you buy a car from them, get everything you want before you sign. And yes, I have the promise to get me a key in writing (text). Stopped in on Monday 15 April, to have my truck washed. So I figured I would partake in the restaurant they have in the dealership. I had the Sunrise Smash Burger special it was wonderful. Egg was running as it should all over the burger. Burger was cooked perfectly and hot and up together. Least than 5 minutes from when I ordered till I was sitting down enjoying this burger. Beside the restaurant there are so many other features to love the dealership about, Hair salon, Massage room, Quiet room, plenty of comfortable areas to enjoy as you are waiting for your car to be serviced. I have bought two trucks in the last 8 months from them and will do it again if I have a need for another vehicle. Needed a bigger truck to tow my Travel trailer so I had to step up from my 2022 Tacoma, With a standard 6 speed shift which I will miss so much, but not while towing the trailer. Bought a 2024 Tundra so we are looking forward to some long distance camping. Also this dealership proudly supports the Military organizations in the are and all First Responders. Highly disappointed in my first experience with Beaver Toyota. I paid for the Beaver Benefits package, when I purchased my vehicle in Aug 2025. I went in for my first servicing in Dec 2025 and was charged for an oil change. I have requested a refund for the oil change because I have the "Beaver Benefits" package and oil changes are supposed to be free for the lifetime of the vehicle. Shelby Everts assured me that my refund would be received (via mail) the next day. She explained that they couldn't issue my refund directly to my card because they had already (supposedly) sent a paper check. Fast forward to today, it's been 11 days since my refund check was "mailed" and it hasn't been received. I've tried calling to speak with anyone for support, but their customer service reps are always unable to find a manager or someone from Accounting. Just disappointed in the entire experience overall. How is it so hard to issue a refund these days? I'm exhausted with this back and forth, so I'm trying to warn yall. I went to dealer between 1 and 4 on Wed. to take advantage of a 15% coupon for regular service on Mon - Wed Happy hour discount. I had my truck serviced and I asked the service writer 3 times if he would apply the coupon and he assured me that he would. I got home and reviewed the invoice and there was no discount applied. I texted the service writer and I called the service advisor, and I got no answer and no return call or text. I called the main number and left a message and got no response. I called service manager twice and was sent to voice mail, main number told me he would return my call, no response. This is definitely customer no service. I am so disappointed in this dealer. I guess at this point I will go to Social Media, Yelp, Google and Facebook and give the dealer the rating they deserve. read more

Ended up getting our new 4 Runner in Athens saving over 5k and we were not forced into purchasing transportation and that stupid ridiculous over priced " Bever Difference" service contract Just tried to purchase a camry also over priced, they didnt want to come down to a realistic price so I walked. Maintenance on a vehicle requires a lot of trust, communication and expense. We have been using this Beaver Toyota Cumming service center for over two years and never had an issue. On our last visit we communicated that the vehicle was going to be driven cross country and that everything should be thoroughly checked. Once we started on our road trip we notice there was no wiper fluid to clean our windshield. Frustrating and we lost confidence that the vehicle was thoroughly checked as all fluids are supposed to be checked and topped off. Realizing they didn't fill the simple fluid for the wiper, after two hundred miles my husband decided to check the oil, even though the service had been done the week prior. Our vehicle was an entire quart low on oil. I called the service center to inform them of the lack of attention our suv received while on the trip. As an apology, they offered us a free oil change for our next visit. As we continued on the trip my husband noticed the battery had shifted under the hood and the battery cap had popped off the battery. This caused us to have to replace the battery because the acid in the battery could spill out causing corrosion and damage to the motor components leading to a huge expense. The battery should have been checked by the service center and they would have noticed the strap that holds the battery in place was pushing against the filler plugs. Once we drove about 2,000 miles the brakes were grinding and the vehicle was shaking. We took the vehicle to a different service facility and the vehicle required new brake pads and the rotors needed to be turned. Beaver Toyota gave us no indication that the vehicle had an issue with the brakes or that rotors needed replacing for our road trip. Needless to say, we will not be going back to this facility for a "free" oil change. Be cautious if you use this service center as their service has declined and your vehicle could need more maintenance after you take in than it did originally. read more

The service when you're buying a vehicle from Beaver is immaculate, but once you become a customer, it's like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I bought my VW Atlas from Beaver 13 months ago with about 24,000 miles on it. Fast forward to today--my car has just 31,000 miles. Recently, a warning light came on indicating my coolant was low, so I scheduled an appointment to have it checked. My wife took the car in on Thursday, March 12th, for a 10:30 AM appointment, expecting a quick fix. Instead, she didn't leave the dealership until after 5:30 PM! After hours of diagnostics, they found a leak but had three technicians working on the car who couldn't pinpoint the source. They took apart the thermostat and various components before finally locating the issue--eight hours later. Meanwhile, my wife was left sitting there the entire workday. Employees took their lunch breaks, yet no one offered her so much as a bottle of water, let alone a loaner vehicle so she could go about her day. Still, we tried to be patient, assuming at least that our 100,000-mile "bumper-to-bumper" warranty would cover the repair. The parts were ordered, and while frustrating, we were relieved that this nightmare would be over by Friday. Then, Friday afternoon, I got a call from Bryan in the service department. He said, "Mr. Boyd, the insurance company is considering this issue wear and tear, and they won't be covering it. It's going to cost you $2,000." Excuse me? When I bought my car, I was explicitly told that everything--from bumper to bumper--would be covered up to 100,000 miles. In fact, the sales rep even joked, "If you spill coffee on your radio, it'll be covered." That sure sounds like wear and tear to me! Now, the very first time I bring in my certified pre-owned vehicle for service, Beaver is telling me my warranty is useless? To add insult to injury, we were told on Thursday that the parts had been ordered and the car should be ready by Friday. Then on Friday, Bryan told me they were ordering the parts that day and the car should be ready by Saturday afternoon. By 10 AM Saturday, I hadn't received any update, so I reached out twice--no answer. I left a message and finally got a call back nearly at 1 PM, only to be told they didn't have the part yet and the car wouldn't be ready until Monday. Why was this part not ordered on Thursday while my wife was sitting in purgatory all day? This is a blatant scam. Beaver's sales team misrepresented the insurance package they pushed on me, and their customer service is nonexistent once you sign the papers. When I asked why they left my wife stranded for eight hours without offering a loaner vehicle, Bryan's response was essentially, "Well, we had people working on your car for eight hours." As if that justifies the situation? So not only am I being asked to pay $2,000 for a repair that should be covered, but I'm also supposed to accept terrible service in the process? At this point, I am seriously contemplating trading in this car altogether due to my complete lack of trust in Beaver's integrity and reliability. Who knows what else they misdiagnosed or intentionally withheld from me? I refuse to wait until the next issue arises just to be blindsided again. I'll never buy another vehicle from Beaver. I'll be removing their decal from my car, and if anyone ever asks for my opinion on their service, my answer will be simple: "What service?" read more

Took our car to a tire service center in Florida where we live thinking it may just need patched up. Nope, test done on it shows it was already patched up before. Had the car 6 mths and sold to us a patched a tire that had been patched up previously! called Beaver Toyota for assistance and since I could not prove it was serviced by them for a tire issue before we bought it, nothing they would do. Nothing at all. could not see any of this till the tire was removed. Again, 6 month old vehicle! This is how dealerships get bad reputations. Beware of service department! They quoted $179.99 to diagnose. Then, when you don't go with their bogus estimate they up-charge you without telling you. Very enjoyable purchasing experience. Krystal Sanchez, her boss Kevin, and the other people in the sales group helped make buying our 2025 Highlander a pleasant sales experience. Krystal handled this with a great sense of humor (required when dealing with me). We knew it would take a while to get our new car, but to her credit, Krystal was able to find it in the production schedule in just a few weeks and reserved it for us. We were able to drive it home last week. Purchased our first Highlander back in 2017, and it just didn't give any problems. Looking forward to the same with this one. This was my second time at Beaver. The first time was amazing, this time it was ok. It was jammed pack to the point that there was no seating by the service area. But we had an appointment and we're greeted promptly and courteously. We were given a 3-4 he window down an oil change, windows tint (which we received t different quotes) and the complimentary car wash. Last time I was here, the had a wonderful food selection so I was looking forward to a small meal with my meds BUT. They changed the restaurant vendo. Avoid the new one, nothing tasted fresh, my burger patty was so over cooked it was like eating a cardboard, the Turkey in my sandwich was tough and more like a hard piece of plastic. I have no clue how people eat this food or how the flagship restaurant down the street can have amazing review but this place is horrible. Thankfully it only took 2,5 hrs for my car to be ready, however it was not washed and one of the windows that had just gotten tinted had been rolled down. I'm lucky though because she could have been killed. The dealership made up all kinds of fantastical ways her lug nuts could have come loose after they did the repairs. They deny any responsibility. Bought our daughter a CPO Corolla at Beaver. It seems that every time she takes it in for service there is always an issue. The "free oil changes" are never free. Each time they tell her "next time will be free" since they only cover 10k intervals. No problem we are willing to pay for 5k intervals. But every time they charge her anyway. The last trip was the final straw. Sent a video showing a filthy cabin filter and said she needed an air filter. Of course I had just changed them both weeks earlier! Completely untrustworthy so will not be doing business there anymore. But they are great at apologizing when they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar. read more

We went to the nearest Toyota dealership as I had, after much research online, decided I wanted a Tacoma but of course wanted a test drive first. Chandler greeted us as we drove up and helped us immediately with a test drive of a model close to what I was looking for. He asked great questions about why I wanted a truck and how it would be used and advised me that the package I had selected would probably cost me more than was necessary for what I wanted as the lower priced package still checked all the boxes as it were. He didn't pressure me to buy immediately and respected that I was a few weeks away from making a decision. He also stayed in contact by responding to my emails and texts with questions and alerted me to an excellent deal on a very slightly pre-owned model that fit my budget and had the features I was wanting. He also did a wonderful job of negotiating for us with finance to get us a payment that we were comfortable with. Also, great job by Andre (sorry I missed his last name) in finance for making the signing of paperwork smooth and going over our options for additional coverage such as GAP and protections for paint, tires, road side assistance, etc. The whole re-test drive, negotiation of trade-in and down payment, and signing of the paper work took about 2 1/2 hours, which is outstanding as I was anticipating it taking most of the day. We even had time afterwards to go to lunch and then enjoy using the new Tacoma to do our weekly grocery shopping. read more
