I contacted the website given, was "helped" via a chat by a lady named Karen, go figure, and was told they would have the Dawsonville location contact me. Then the chat was abruptly closed by Karen. 16 days later, nothing, after providing all of the info I was asked to provide. Knowing the service I received from this location, I was not holding my breath, and it's actually shocking that Enterprise customer service thought they would care or contact me. If anybody has a way to contact the corporate office, I would love to have it, because I think if I talked to someone who truly cared about customer service, they would want to hear this. I've rented from this location probably 5 or 6 times and It was always pleasant and problem free until I had to deal with Victor. I showed up for my rental that had been confirmed via both email and a phone call. Victor was very abrasive and had a poor attitude. He said they didn't have a car and wanted me to come back. They had just happened to have a car they were finishing detailing so he gave me that. It reeked of cigarette smoke, was low on fuel, the oil change light was on, and there was no washer fluid. They also used to let you select after hours returns, but now they've done away with that and charge you until the next business day if you bring it back over the weekend. They wanted to rent me a car with stained seats and a funky smell. The seats appeared to have large grease stains on them. Apparently it's perfectly acceptable per "Victor" the rental agent, as long as it's not a cigarette burn. And, the only thing "Victor" was willing to do was "bomb" the car for the funky smell, which is probably coming from whatever stained the seats. Then, instead of "bombing" the car as I was told they were going to do, they just spritzed it with something that smelled like rotten lemons so that the car had a pretty unpleasant funky and rotten lemon scent. When I asked to be put into a different vehicle because I certainly didn't want to sit in greasy unidentifiable looking stains, "Victor" told me they didn't have another vehicle on the lot. Not even10 minutes later, some guy walks in off the street, without a reservation, and drives away in an SUV. How does that happen when there's not another car on the lot available to someone who has a reservation???? I questioned "Victor" and let him know I was recording our conversation, his whole attitude changed and suddenly there were other cars available on the lot and, what he meant when he told me he had nothing available was in the same "SUV class" I had reserved. Apparently when I asked if there was ANYTHING ELSE available on the lot I was unclear about the ANYTHING ELSE part and suddenly, like magic, there were other options. Why not instead of saying there was nothing available, he instead said we don't have a similar vehicle available but here are some options for you. Nope. Unfortunately, this location is busy because they have no competition in the area so they can obviously (read the other reviews) can get away treating customers like we're the problem. Cars are dirty and not sanitary, they never answer the phone, and when it's time to pick up the vehicle they say OH we don't have the one you reserved two weeks in advance. I recently rented a car from this place. NEVER got scam calls prior, after giving enterprise my infemation, I've gotten many scam calls per day since renting a car. This is literally the only company I've given my number out to in months. Didn't expect enterprise to sell customer info, highly disappointed. This enterprise is attached to a gas station directly next to a busy side road & 400. Not exactly the safest place to leave your car. They also do not have any parking. Literally, they have a few parking spots in front of their door and that's literally it. After signing for my rental the representative wanted me to hop a curb with my personal car and park on the grassy area next to 400. Due to the lack of parking. Meanwhile they have signs inside and consent forms stating they're not responsible for damage to your car. So if the undercarriage or tires of your car gets damaged because the representatives are telling you to hop a cement curb..oh well I guess. There were multiple cars parked there too. Anyways, the car itself was fine on my 1000 mile trip one way to visit family, but at the start of my 1000 mile return trip back the "maintenance required" message popped up on the dash. Concerned, I call enterprise to figure out the maintenance required issue. I was advised to ignore it. that's it, no offer to have the car checked or replaced. Nothing, just a hope that the car doesn't fall apart while you ignore the maintenance required message repeatedly popping up on the dash. First and last time renting from any enterprise, especially this specific location. read more

I would recommend reaching out to any other enterprise besides this location. I had the unfortunate situation of a storm damaging my Chevrolet Tahoe and this is the location that my insurance company chose for a rental car. I originally had a reservation for a midsize SUV and my insurance agent chose to have enterprise meet me at the body shop with the vehicle. When enterprise called to confirm my reservation, they explained they would not be able to bring me the rental car but they could pick me up at the body shop and bring me back to the Dawsonville location for me to get the car. However my husband was capable of driving me to the Enterprise so we told them not to worry about picking me up. When I arrived at the location for the reservation time that they gave me on the date that they gave me, they no longer had a vehicle for me. They also told me that I did not have a reservation that I was just a "walk-in" even though when I came in and told them that I was there to pick up a car from State Farm they specifically called me by name. I told them I spoke to someone on the phone and told them they didn't need to pick me up. So clearly, I had some sort of reservation because they knew who I was without me giving them my information. When I questioned how I could not have a reservation, but they knew who I was, they started laughing at me. They put me in a minivan and unfortunately I live on a dirt road that has a steep incline and the mini van had a very hard time getting up the driveway so I took it back to them and asked them to put me in something that was a little higher off the ground and they gave me a Jeep Wrangler. I asked them before I took it if I would be able to get into a large SUV nine days later when I was leaving to go on vacation because that vehicle would not work for us as a family as we have more people than seats. They said they had 10 to 15 large vehicles that would be returned the following week and it should be no problem to put me either back in a minivan or in a large SUV that would suit us. I have checked back almost every single day since then and every day they say they don't have a vehicle for me even though there have been multiple times that I have been there that there were cars that would fit our needs. They always say that they are reserved for someone else. I have kindly asked what the difference in their reservation and my reservation is and each time I am met with a patronizing laugh. At one point I very nicely asked for them to please stop laughing at me because it was a bad situation and it wasn't funny and it's also rude to laugh at someone and I was told that they simply think that I'm being ridiculous so it's laughable and when I asked if they would just wait until I leave to laugh, they told me they were going to laugh to my face and not behind my back. I'm six months pregnant and I will do everything I can to not step foot back into this location. It is ran by very young men who are not equipped for dealing with customers. I completely understand that the rental car business is a very fast pace and likely stressful situation because everybody in need of a rental car is in a bad spot, but it gives you no right to laugh at someone for their situation. Truly, they really need to handle people with more finesse and basic human care. I would highly recommend reaching out to a different location for your rental needs. read more

I have rented a car from this location twice. My review is based on my most recent visit. My pick up reservation was for May 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Approximately 1 month prior to my rental check out date, I reserved a Toyota Rav-4 because it is a nice mid sized suv with great gas mileage. I even went to Toyota to look at it and sit inside it. The car came standard with LED headlights and Car Apple Play with Navi. I called a week before(4/27/19) and made sure that I was still getting a Toyota Rav-4 and I was ensured that I would and that a note was made to my reservation on a 2019 White/Silver Toyota Rav-4. I called 2 days(5/2/19) prior to request a pick-up on (5/4/19) and was told by the employee that they don't offer pick ups on Saturdays. I advised him that nowhere on the website when I booked the rental that it stated this. Thank god I called ahead of time and didn't call the day of. He advised that I could call an Uber/Lyft and be picked up. I was like really?!! (Awesome customer service) I asked him if they can pick me up a day prior to my pick up date (Friday May 3) , he said sure but I would have to pay an extra day of rental which was around $50. I asked him if he can help me out with the price since I don't need the car until Saturday and my rental reservation pickup was on 5/4/19 and not 5/3/19. He said nothing he can do. I called back on May 3 (Friday) and asked if I could be picked up and if my Toyota RAV 4 was ready to be picked up. To my surprise, the employee advised me that they don't have a Rav 4 in stock and that they have a truck for me. I was like seriously? WOW! I don't want a damn truck. I booked this rental a month prior and they couldn't get the SUV that I wanted? It also would of been nice for the front desk to follow up and give me a call and let me know that they don't have the car I wanted prior to my pick up date so it wouldn't have been a shock to me. She goes and tells me that they have a Jeep Wrangler in stock and I can get that instead with no additional charges. At this point, I had no choice since I had to get a rental car and was leaving town on early Sunday morning. I did not want a Wrangler, as the gas mileage is horrible. Car rides rought. There was a specific reason why I reserved a Toyota RAV 4. My question is, whats the point of me even reserving a car when they can't even get what I want? I am not sure that they even made an attempt to get a RAV 4 for me. My total price estimate online as supposed to be $406.00 for the RAV 4. The new price was around $474 with the extra day of rental and I ended up getting the $25.99 per day insurance because I didn't want to pay for the expensive Jeep Wrangler if it got damaged. I ended up walking out of the door at around $742 with a $250 deposit. :( Ugh. I was well above my rental budget. The windshield washer fluid level was low and I had to go back inside to get them to fill it so the warning light on the dash would go out. The employees here were super friendly. I am not sure who to blame here. This is a horrible experience and makes me not want to rent with Enterprise ever again. I haven't let on my vacation yet, but I can't wait to see how much gas money I will be spending on this Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep is nice inside but it wasn't the car I wanted and planned on driving. Entire ordeal ruined the start of my vacation already. I have notified Enterprise online and hoping to hear back from a somebody to make this right. read more

Rented a car from them and the car they gave me was defective. It leaked oil all over my driveway. I had to have the driveway resealed. It has been 6 weeks now and I am still waiting on someone to contact me about reimbursing me for the damage. I keep getting excuses about how I am waiting on the manager and the manager says he is waiting on corporate. read more

I've rented numerous times for this place and never had any issues. I reserved a luxury vehicle a week in advance only to arrive and be told that they didn't have any. I wanted an Audi or Infiniti when the whole fleet was cloth maximas and crv's and jeep compass. I asked them about the expedition in the parking lot and that one I couldn't take because another customer had reserved it but my reservation meant nothing. She then told me to try another location because they don't get luxury vehicles at the location I went too. So why have the option if you cant put me in the vehicle I want. A week that I could have used for planning was wasted. I'm now putting miles on my own vehicle because of the incompetence of enterprise. Do not have any type of anticipation when using this location and the vehicles in the fleet are all base models. The one I rented last week smelled like body odor. read more

Can't say it was the best... After delta canceling all flights to Atlanta (not enterprises fault) I modified my reservation for later that night with a pickup in ATL and a drop off up in the mountains to pick up at PHL and drop off in North Georgia. This was confirmed and a quote was given... By the time I reached the checkout desk at Enterprise somehow this all got lost. Though the agent was friendly and willing he re-configured the reservation for pick up and drop off at PHL and reduced the rental by one day... So when I arrived in Dawsonville to drop off they had no clue I was coming. And I had even more issues with The agent Alex at that location as well. Prior to the issue above, my insurance and I made it very clear that pick up was in Dawsonville and drop off at ATL, when checking out they asked how long will you need the rental, I replied "two weeks" (it was a Monday). When I dropped the car off the following Monday (1 week in) I got a very angry voicemail about how I was "not allowed" to do that with their car and she already rented that car out to someone else later that day... 1: it's not your car, it's Enterprises, 2: I can drop it off where I said I would, 3: I was only half way through my rental time, why would you rent the car out to someone else? 4: my return trip from PHL would bring a vehicle back to them for use by the end of the two weeks I said it would take... And we are back to the first part, where the drop off site in Dawsonville, GA over charging me two times (Alex) for their error. When I said that the price was incorrect and I would like to speak to someone, she said she put the charge on hold and someone will call me... Nobody called me and I received an email receipt within the hour... I rent cars up to twice a week for the past 10 years with my career, I know this is not how to treat a customer, no wonder my company insists on using Avis... read more

Rented a car from Enterprise in Dawsonville Ga. After returning the car the manager at that location called and informed my wife that we had left a very expensive flashlight in the car. He said he would hold the flashlight on his desk until we could come by and pick it up. I went two days later to get the flashlight and it was nowhere to be found. One employee asked if they had seen it and her response was "oh that really nice and extremely bright flashlight it was on the desk but I haven't seen it today". I was told they would look for it and call when they find it. Well to my surprise no call from Enterprise. I called and spoke to the manager that call and said he would hold it for us and he said they haven't found it yet but they were still looking. Now three weeks later with no call from Enterprise and I call to see if they found out light. Now I'm being told that it must have gotten thrown away with other lost and found items. This Enterprise location just can't admit that an employee stole our flashlight and they are not interested in making it right by replacing a flashlight that everyone knew was there and they lost or stole. "Beginning May 15, 2018 you will be charged $250 deposit for rental car" sign on the door on May 5. On May 5, 2018, I was charged $250. So much for the "new" policy. My husband and I do not own credit cards because we do not believe in a debt-oriented lifestyle. Because of this, we have to provide utility statements which we have no problem doing. However, Alexandra A. Scheer (Alex) proceeded to attempt to humiliate not only us ("What do you mean you don't have a credit card? I can't believe that - nobody lives like that!") but others that were in line in front of us through other issues. I have NO idea why this girl hasn't been fired a LONG time ago. She is rude, obnoxious, and horrible to deal with. We have rented multiple cars from this location, dealt with her, and she is consistently the worst example of customer service we've ever seen, and we've seen just about everything, as my husband is a speaker, author and business consultant. The ONLY reason we have continued to rent from this location is because of its proximity to our home. It is worth the drive to a different company to avoid any contact with this person! AVOID AVOID AVOID this person and this location. She does NOT want to take care of customers, and constantly belittles and makes fun of customers and other staff members. I miss our old contact who used to be there...he was wonderful. She is awful. read more

This location doesn't provide enough staff. It was bad enough that i had to pick up the rental car a day earlier than i wanted...they're only open until noon on Saturday and closed on Sunday. I could deal with that. What i found unacceptable was the fact that it took 45 minutes to turn my car in. There was one person working on Saturday after thanksgiving. Poor guy was doing everything he possibly could to work quickly and efficiently. The owner may have saved himself a few dollars by not having a second person working but he list our business. She's not very friendly and when they didn't have the car class I had reserved she refused to waive the difference to put me in the next class up. i rent from enterprise on a regular basis (airport locations) and I am aware that booking at a local store many times means that there can be issues with the actual vehicle you request being at that store, so I made my reservation online in the morning for pick up around 3pm same day for a quad cab dodge pick up. I then called the store to see that that vehicle was on the lot, I was told yes. I made the reservation in behalf of my brother who was picking up the truck to meet the rest of the family to move furniture. When he arrived he was presented a Caravan and told that the owner 'had taken the pick up truck', would the caravan do? He told him no it would not, so the employee advised that he would call the owner and ask him to bring it back. An hour later he was told the owner was not returning it our only option was the Caravan, so he took it with the advice that it might be possible to switch it out for a pick up the next morning. We contacted this enterprise the next morning and still no truck... I asked that he get on the phone and find us one in the local area as we moved all we could in the Caravan yesterday it simply would not work for what we had left. He was not polite nor did he seem happy to help, but did and found a truck which required well over an hour travel time roundtrip one way to pick up but we were happy to just get one. When we got ready to return the truck the enterprise was closed, it is in a car dealership, my brother was treated BEYOND RUDELY, with the staff being profoundly unhelpful. All in all a REALLY bad customer service experience and NOT what I know to be the model for Enterprise. read more

I have rented from this location for the past 5 years. Their new location is much easier than the previous one inside the car dealership. I have always had good service and found the employees to be warm, personable and helpful. They always remember my name and I've never had an undue wait to return or pick up a car. Alex, in particular, has been lovely to work with. I have just retired and will have much less opportunity to rent from them but I highly recommend this location. read more
