I have a habit of renting cars during the busiest times of years. Brandon always makes it work for me! This time around with it being the world cup and summer vacation, the only cars available at the time I needed were minivans. Obviously I have an image to protect and scoffed at the thought of driving one. But Brandon found me the newest one and since I really needed the car, I took the keys with hesitation. The process was quick and easy! We were in and out within minutes. Don't tell anyone, but we ended up keeping the minivan one extra day as it was so comfy and the drive was smooth. Got a rental from this place recently through random search, since my car was out on service and being without a loaner car. Called in and got picked from home on a Chevy Tahoe to get to this place. Miranda was amazing right from pickup to getting me a nice upgrade of a Hyundai Kona for the same price , only because of the condition of car availability which was my good luck. The checkout process was very fluent and the car condition was great. I had to return the car earlier than what I anticipated because of the loaner availability and the checkout was smooth again. I now know a place where I can look for my next rental needs if I would have one again. read more

I recently rented from Enterprise in Edison on Route 27 near Aldi, and I wanted to leave a review because good customer service deserves to be recognized. The first car I received had a strong smoke odor. Although the company has a no-smoking policy, some customers clearly do not follow it, and non-smokers can definitely tell. I returned to the office, and without any attitude or problem, a gentleman by the name of JACK immediately worked with me and gave me another vehicle of the same model, only newer and much fresher. What truly stood out to me was this employee named (JACK) In all my years since the 1980s, I can honestly say he is one of the best customer service representatives I have ever met. He has old-school values (GOD FEARING) that are hard to find today. He treats customers with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect. He explained everything thoroughly, no matter how busy he was or how many questions people had. The amazing part is that this location seems understaffed, yet Jack was constantly moving from customer to customer like he was running a marathon, while still remaining calm, polite, and professional. Many people today could learn from his example. Enterprise should truly recognize employees like this because people remember how they are treated. Kindness breeds kindness, and JACK made what could have been a stressful experience into a positive one. Thank you again, JACK for your professionalism and excellent customer care. Enterprise car rental website took my reservation for this location . When I reached here they said they don't have the car or even an upgrade. So I made another reservation at a different enterprise agency by calling them (Woodbridge NJ). They confirmed the make and model of the car and time and said yes i can come in and get the car in next 20 minutes. I go there and they say they don't have it and that the call actually went to their call center and not the agency . The Woodbridge agency say they were gonna call me to say they don't have the car but because of the day being hectic couldn't call on time . By this time I had spent 40$ in cab and 1 and half hour getting from home to agency to another agency and didn't get the car. I complained to enterprise they said we are escalating it to management . The day ended with my money wasted and no car rented and all plans gone to waste read more

Never again will we rent from Enterprise Edison. They were supposed to pick up our car at the auto body but were "short staffed" and we were not called about the delay. Jello was not aware that we paid ahead for a full tank. Brandon called about our charge; we are still waiting for the receipt so we may get reimbursed from the insurance company. Each call to the company required 2-3 attempts with wait times over 20 minutes, multiple disconnects. read more

Called early Friday morning (4/4/25) to secure the rental of a 12-passenger van (which was shown available on the website) and contacted the Edison, NJ office on Rt. 27 to rent it for the following day (Saturday 4/5/25). The call went well and the van was confirmed and the rental agreement completed. The same day at 5:30 pm, I got a call from their office that no vans are available but that they switched my rental to another office in Freehold, NJ (35-minute drive) and told me they cannot transport the van to Edison. I obtained the number for Freehold and called that office directly to speak to a manager. This is where it gets ugly. Not only can they not help by getting the van to Edison, he also blames the Edison office by sharing they had just notified him of this situation, telling me it was their problem and I replied, 'now it's yours.' I never should have been told this late in the day, plus at least offer me a discount if I decide to drive to his location. I am also told it's partly my fault because I called only the day before and that most van rentals are done weeks in advance! So despite renting it earlier in the day, it's now partly my fault that they made an error. The deal I am eventually offered was getting a 15-passenger van for the price of a 12-passenger van! Basically, a van I don't need and basically no real incentive or deal. I even suggested a discount of 15-20% off and was denied. The ending of my story to me is the most poor solution ever - just cancel my reservation! I was told no discount for their error and inconvenience and simply told to just cancel and not give them my business. So that's exactly what I did and never again will I deal with this company since they clearly lack the desire to properly serve people. read more

This was a terrible experience. I arrived onsite at enterprise on 6/28, for my scheduled reservation. I waited about 20 minutes for my full size vehicle, granted this was a holiday weekend but the customer service was terrible and it all begins with management. I asked for a full size vehicle and received a gas golf cart from Nissan. I'm 6'2 and they still I insisted I take the vehicle, instead of making accommodations or calling another rental location to see what was available. That is the process, not turn away a corporate customer that was sent by their company to pick up a vehicle. The manager said " take the car or cancel your reservation" you can tell the manager was picked up off the street and just given the title. He doesn't realize Enterprise is a very large rental company with relationships with other companies and their interactions can impact business moving forward indirectly. In addition, to the poor customer service the car was filthy! The rear view mirror dirty, the seats dirty, radio console dirty, and middle console for gear dirty! I could not believe what I was dealing with. Thank god for the North Brunswick location they save my life that day. Do not go to the Edison location they are unprofessional, rude, with a splash of racist. I hope the young black interns they had there were being treated fairly. They definitely gave the full size vehicles to other customers that arrived after they communicated to me that they had no full size vehicles. Terrible customer service. They admit to their customers that Saturday and Sunday are their busiest days, when they're only open for 3 hours each day, but have literally 1 employee working. The phone was ringing off the hook the whole time, but not a single call was answered in the 90 minutes I stood there, so I hope no one really needed to speak to someone at this location today. Some people waited at least an hour just to be told the car they were being rented wasn't even clean. There were so many people waiting, we had to fend for ourselves to remember who was before and after us in "line". Get your crap together and hire more people, Enterprise. read more

I went there on July 26 to pick up my reservatio. waited for about 20 minutes just to be told they do not have the minivan I reserved for more than a week. i was told they gave me a call. The call was placed at 8:18 am on the day I was su to pick up my reservation scheduled at 9am. I asked for a replacement that sits 7 and they do not have anything. We could not be more pleased with our service. Ida flooded our cars like thousands of others in NJ. We were without cars and rental cars are scarce. We were added to an Enterprise reservation list at another location. We were patiently awaiting our call. We were in Edison for an appointment, and decided to stop at Enterprise location to see if there was an cars available. No luck but we did meet Josh. He went above and beyond to help work with us. He looked to see where we were in the reservation line and was able to secure two cars for us the next day. He is an asset to the Edison location and to Enterprise!!! He is a pleasure to work with!!! Reading some of these other reviews had me worried as I went to get my rental, but I do have to say that I didn't experience a single thing that these folks did. As soon as I got there, the manager Josh greeted me warmly and had everything ready to go. My 2020 Charger was perfect. It was clean, warmed up so I wouldn't freeze, and had plenty of gas. At the end of my trip, I experienced a screw embedded in the central tread of my rear PS tire. The staff there worked with me to fairly rectify this problem and helped make my drop off quick and efficient. All too often people only post the negative (perhaps embellished at times for a few reasons I can think of) and I wanted to let Josh and his crew know that I'll definitely be doing business with them again. read more

We recently Reserved a Premium Sedan from the Edison Enterprise at 2136 State Route 27 as they are less costly than Airports charge. Booked a Premium Auto Rental through our COSTCO Travel Membership. Upon arriving after our 8 hour Flight Calif to NJ, we reached the Edison rental agency 1 hour before closing. We were greeted warmly by Ms. Nataly PC. Then she preceded to inform us that the vehicle type we reserved, was NOT available. Almost lost it from fatigue. Then Mr. Joshua M. Branch manager, who understood our 'challenge', immediately stepped in with a solution. He provided us with a Clean, luxury Vehicle that "fit the bill", for our family, the entire trip. We LOVED IT!! As we extended our reservation for the next two weeks, Mr. Brandon S graciously worked out extension without issues. Upon returning Vehicle, we were in and out within 15 minutes. Painless process. Try to make a reservation in the Edison location for a certain car. Because I wanted a certain car they had to transfer me to the location I wanted to pick up from. When I got connected to that party and they told me to hold on and then I got bounced around and then disconnected. So I called again and then was told that I cannot call the location I want to pick up from that I have to make the reservations with them. But then I told her that I got connected to the location I wanted to pick up from because I want a certain car and she said no I couldn't do that so I said goodbye hung up and gave it one star. Giving this a 1 Star because of Kyle, the manager in the Edison location. Rented a Nissan Rogue for 2 weeks. On the 4th day, we got a flat. We had a hard time getting the jack and lug wrench out so we called our AAA. AAA said that they should not have rented out the vehicle like that - BOTH front tires were balled! Called the Enterprise office and they said to just bring back and they will swap it out. Spoke with Matt the next day who said that they don't have any vehicles at the time to swap. Decided to return the vehicle. Matt apologized for the inconvenience and did try to maintain customer satisfaction and did not charge for the day (the right thing to do since the car wasn't in full operational order). Then Kyle, the manager, stepped in and accused me of running over something that would cause the blowout! How inappropriate and unprofessional! How can they rent a vehicle like that and disregard people's safety. Luckily my husband and young daughter just made it to our destination when the flat happened. I would never rent from this location again. Be aware and not only look at exterior condition of vehicle but also look at the tires. You don't want to be blamed for something you didn't do. Enterprise called me to confirm if my rental can be extended on my insurance rental coverage. They gave me a number to call back when my insurance confirmed the extension but would NOT give me their name. I called the number back to confirm I spoke to the insurance company. BIG MISTAKE. On hold for 20 min someone picks up and says "Enterprise, please hold" then was put on hold for another 10 min until I hung up. I called again a minute later, 20 minutes wait and someone picks up and says "Enterprise, please hold" and I'm on hold again. Every 10 min I hear them pick up then put me on hold without saying a word. This all in the span of an hour. This is just a SAD and SHAMEFUL way to do business. read more

I rented many times from Enterprise but this was the first renting a minivan for a family trip. Granted it was almost last minute so prices will be a bit higher so I did expected. What I didn't expect was ho good the service was. Much more proficient with mini tablets that each agent have. The moment we walked in it was like we were old friends. Strong hand shakes and a big smile. Everything was handle in 15 minutes or less, from the explanation of the contract to the inspection done by both of us. The return was just as easy, in and out. From the moment I walked into Enterprise, I had an amazing customer service experience. Let me get this straight: I did not want to be at Enterprise that day. My car had broken down, and I so desperately need a car for work that I had to go rent one. I was in a bad mood. That all changed c/o Enterprise. First of all, they picked me up from the auto shop I had dropped my car off at. Already, they'd gone out of their way to make my life easier and I wasn't even a customer yet! Once we arrived at Enterprise, Priya helped me. She was so kind, friendly, and funny. My bad mood dissipated as she made sure I was happy and gave me a great deal on my car rental. Not only was she super professional and doing her job well, she was a generally awesome human being who I liked getting to talk to. When I returned my car, it was as easy as pie. I came in and was greeted with the same friendliness - a few employees even remembered me! I paid up and was given a ride back to where my newly-repaired car was. The woman who drove me, Shanel, was great. Like Priya, Shanel was an awesome employee who I genuinely enjoyed hanging out with. I found myself a little sad once my whole Enterprise experience was over because I'd never get to hang out with these great employees again. It's Thanksgiving eve and we just left the city late. We had to get to Edison to get our car so that we can go to a faraway land, Delaware by tonight since everything will be closed on Thanksgiving. Shit! We are running late. The car rental place closes at 6 pm. Shit! The train is late. Shit! Is already 540pm and we are still in the city. Waiting.... How are we ever gonna get there in time? Everyone's leaving for the holiday. We promise that we will be there at 615pm. "Don't worry. We will wait for you" says the girl on the phone line. Passed 625pm... "Don't worry. I have rented 3 times in the past few months. The first two times from the car rental side and they were nice and accommodating. The third time I rented a truck from the commercial side and the experience was totally opposite. I believe the womans name was Lauren who helped me when I picked up truck and when I dropped off truck. She was not friendly and looking for something to charge me extra with. So I recently received a car from enterprise on route 27 in Edison and to my amazement it requires an oil change . So I called and asked the last time this car had service done he said 34000 miles and it now has 39900 miles so the gentleman tells me the service center they brought it to must of forgot to reset the alarm. I told him so for the almost 6000 miles of people using this car no one complained about it so in my book that was a lie . This enterprise was the worst rental car experience I have ever had. We rented a FULL SIZE SUV weeks in advance only to get there and they tell us they have none. So we waited TWO HOURS for them to retrieve a full size SUV from New Brunswick and once it came it was DISGUSTING, seats and rear were so filthy and front end had ever insect known to man kind dead and smeared across the grill and headlights. They claimed they would clean it and gave it about a 30 second hose down. Was so gross had to take it to the car wash myself. On top of that there was barely any fuel in it. Upon return I was initially charged for insurance that I had declined many times. This was the worst and I will never do business with enterprise again. read more

Ok we were sent here by our insurance while our vehicle was getting repaired, we were greeted quickly and very responsive. Signed our paperwork on a tablet, and told we would be billed like $3-5 a day to offset what insurance didnt cover on the taxes. Which was fine and said what we would be billed, however now over a month later we were billed $455.31. So we called to see what this charge was for, and were told it was for the additional coverage we elected. However we never asked, agreed or where told of this extra coverage. We never asked or were told of this extra coverage- we would not have taken it anyway as in our insurance we have rental insurance. And too boot this extra coverage is more than a $32 a day rental? We can only hope they rectify and do what's right and remove these charges. All my years renting cars I have never come across or have anything like this before. I was told something about the car we used had to have an EZ pass synced to the car and we passed by all car lanes and got violations for it. I go to the local office and they said that no, they dont have ez pass, u just basically pass thru cars if u need or if u have ez pass, then ez pass lane. WHO IN THE WORLD is telling the truth? This has been going on for the longest time. At some point, I was charged immediately without the citation letter yet from your office. If you have a money making scheme that no one knows, God knows I will get to the bottom of this. You charged me roughly about $300 for all those citations and yes you kept saying it's the local collecting agency, you are just the mere rental company that pays them as soon as they thought we had violations. Why didn't any of the agents explain any of these things to us? It was our first time to rent a car going for a long drive out of state. You were so fast to give us the car, yes, BUT NO, no explanations whatsoever about any policy or EZ pass rules, nothing! So it's the client's fault if they don't ask? This is a follow-up to my prior post on the extremely long and unreasonable wait times. After wasting an hour waiting in line to be helped by an associate to pick up my rental car, the Enterprise associate suggested that he put me in a car equivalent to my personal car which would be a larger car than what was reserved for (this was a rental car that was covered by insurance due to an accident). I repeatedly said that I don't care what car I am in and expressed concern that insurance wouldn't cover an upgrade and he associate repeatedly assured me that it would be fine and he would call the insurance company to ensure it would be approved. Even after I got the car, I wasn't even sure if I had been upgraded or not since I told the associate I did not care for about a larger car. Low and behold, my credit card was charged by Enterprise as the upgrade was not approved by insurance nor did the associate call the insurance company. So not only did Enterprise waste an hour of my time during check-in, it also wasted a substantial amount of time with its unethical upselling. I tried to call Enterprise repeatedly and it is impossible to get a hold of anyone. Each time I called, I was immediately placed on hold for an extended period before I hung up in frustration. After calling multiple times, I gave up and went through insurance. Seriously, save yourself some headache and stay away from this establishment. read more

Worst rental company. I was recommended by GIECO to this rental car company. Enterprise Rent-A-Car offered discounted rates due to their tie-up with the insurance company. I signed their agreement, the agent took my credit card, swiped the card, and made sure everything was OK. I had given my car to mechanic and hence had to rent the car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car for 5 days. As my cars work was done in 5 days, I returned the car and took my car from the mechanic. I also left a message to Enterprise Rent-A-Car saying I returned the car and please go ahead with the billing transaction. I did not hear back from them. I assumed everything was OK. Then, after a month I get an e-mail from consumer collections agency stating that I did not pay Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Enterprise Rent-A-Car agent took my signature electronically that states the amount will be deducted from my card. Also, after I returned the rental call, I did not get any call from the rental company regarding any problem with the transaction. All they did was complain to the Consumer Collection agency. Now, I sent an e-mail to the collection agency and expecting a favorable outcome. read more

Horrible customer service. I waited 35 minutes before I left and returned the next morning at opening so I could be taken care of first. I waited in line and watched as the customer service representative helped the gentleman in front of me and continually walked away from him to answer the phone and deal with other customers on the phone. She did that to him about four times and said one second sir, one second sir and would be on the phone helping another customer for a long time. There was a line out the door and people were impatiently waiting. I had to leave and return the next morning at opening so I would be helped first, without any distractions. They need people who only answer the phone and people who only help with walk in customers. Very bad experience. read more
