Came to this location a few weeks ago to rent a truck. Had a reservation but they couldn't find it. They had no truck available so they sent me to another enterprise. Staff was nice but they need to have more inventory available. I'm glad I was still able to get my truck. read more

I was transferred to this location by the Enterprise on Erie Ave. after they did not have availability. Your establishment KEPT ME ON HOLD FOR 35 MINUTES AND THEN HUNG UP. I called back and you put me on hold for another 10 minutes then hung up. I was never even greeted by a human being. It is clearly a busy time for you, but there is NO EXCUSE for this type of customer service. It takes all of 1 minute to tell a customer that your location is currently overwhelmed and unable to take business. Do better. read more

My daughter is about 2 hours away from home for college. She damaged her car on a pothole, so I took my car to her and got a one-way rental to drive home. When I arrived at her apartment to pick her up, I realized we might be a little late for pick-up at noon, so I tried to call while waiting for her. I tried several times, but nobody answered the phone. We decide to just go. When we get there, there are about 20 people in the tiny waiting area to pick up and return cars. Most of the time there was only one person behind the counter helping customers, but I saw at least 4 employees working. We finally get the car, which was a basic Hyundai, and exactly what I reserved. We did damage inspection, which was fine, and the employee who was checking it said he had to vacuum it. At this point, I have driven two hours, and have an almost two hour turnpike drive ahead. I said I didn't mind the bit of grass on the floor mats, I just wanted to get on the road, and if it wasn't an issue for them, I would be fine with it. So, at least an hour (honestly more) later, I am on my way. I get to my exit off the turnpike and am at a red light when I really looked at their EZ pass system. I didn't realize you had to OPEN the EZ pass up for it to read at the toll booth, and not one person mentioned this. I have my own EZ pass, and I just saw the one in the rental and assumed it worked the same way. I want to say no one at the Elkins Park location was rude to me, but they were beyond frazzled, disorganized and distracted, which is most likely why the toll system and gas fill up was not discussed. I called them today to explain my situation, and they gave me their number for the violations office. I called them and explained what happened. The kind of rude lady who answered informed me that they had a 20 violation fee that I am now stuck paying for on top of the tolls. I informed her as a heads up that maybe the Enterprise employees should explain how it works, especially since they knew I would be using a toll road. She mumbled something about being sorry, and then she hung up on me. Also, I don't know anything about if they will charge me for gas because I didn't fill it up. I used about a quarter tank, and no one had mentioned whether to fill it up or whatever it is they do. I am kind of pissed off now. I would hesitate to even rent from them again in the future. I don't think the customer service during this whole experience was very good. read more

I've rented from this place several times, and they always take great care of me. The location is clean and tidy. It's on the smaller side so make sure you have a reservation scheduled in advance. The only thing I don't like is that their parking lot is gated and locked and there is no key box, so it's impossible to return a car when they are closed. read more

I don't write a lot of reviews but felt the need to write one about my experience at this location of Enterprise. We have been occasional renters of cars for many years but have had the most pleasant and consistently positive experience with this particular location of Enterprise. I realize that management and staff of car rental locations change hands often, but the current management and staffing of this location is top notch. Always respectful, polite, upbeat, accommodating, and very clear about what we'll be charged and what they have available. I usually reserve online and when I come in my car is available and waiting. I'm writing this update to say at this point I am beyond angry! This SCAM of a company sent me a bill for $896.59. PLEASE BEWARE they rushed me out during the corona virus it was only 1 scuffed up van on the lot and charged me for 1 out of 6 obvious damages on the car and the guy who I returned the car to wanted to argue and because he didnt like my response it turned unproffessional and that's when the trouble start I will be posting pictures of the van I was rented when i return to town HERTZ never gave me a problem i'm a proud Gold member and I never rented a car that wasnt in excellent condition and returned the same way!!!This is a slap in the face read more

I have been rating cars from Enterprise for more than a decade. I started renting from this location approximately 4 or 5 years ago. I have never had any serious issues any Enterprise Rent-a-Car. This particular location as always addressed my concerns and may any adjustments that were necessary to keep my business. I am very particular about the appearance of the automobile that I am renting. Most of my issues have been centered around the cleanliness of the interior of automobile. I make it a rule, to wipe down the interior of the vehicle with a sanitizer and vacuum clean for allowing my family to enter the car. Enterprise gives the exterior a washing but sometimes neglect looking over the interior of the vehicle. In my personal experiences I have found article of clothing, all types of food and spills, and on one occasion lots of dog hair. I do realize that this is a rental car service with quick turnaround but the above-mentioned issues should be concerning to all employees. On this occasion there were some issues with the interior that I pointed out to the representative. She did offer to have them clean the car again but I chose to do it myself. With that being said, I still have the utmost respect for this Enterprise location and will continue to rent vehicles from Enterprise. I am a fan, but could only give 3 1/2 stars. read more

Poor customer service and lack of communication! I reserved a larger size SUV from Elkins Park, PA location approximately 30 days prior to pick up date. I called to confirm rental and fees after initially booking. As the date came closer, I called again to assure the rental was available because I have 3 other passengers depending on me for transportation this week (business). Upon this last confirmation call, I was informed by the manager of this location, Charles that there was a $15 pick up fee applied for picking vehicle up the evening before the scheduled reservation. Excuse me? When was this instituted? Charles replies, I'm not sure. I believe its within the past 6mos or so?? In my mind, I'm thinking..... I need to check the validity of this info. A call was placed to Enterprise Corporate Office in Wayne, PA. I was greeted by Mazar, a representative. I explained my concern of not being informed of this 'additional fee' at the time reservation was made. Does this fee even exist? Is this a legitimate fee? Mazar sounds rather unsure and has not heard of such a fee. Due to the hesitation in the tone of his voice, I requested his manager or supervisor. I'm told her name is Ann Marie (no last name). She was unavailable at that time but he would be sure to give her my information and have her contact me regarding the issue. Of course, Mazar returns my call. Why is he calling me back? I specifically asked for his manager/supervisor to call me. Hmmm...looks like a supervisor from Corporate is too busy to deal with this trivial issue and speak directly with a customer. When you contact Corporate, you expect to speak with the appropriate persons and have the issues resolved. Particularly when I requested a manager/supervisor return my call! Mazar, the messenger informed me that Ann Marie said, a manager can implement that fee at their discretion. Did Mazar make this up? Does Ann Marie exist? Shady! Needless to say, I'm not pleased. there isn't anything in writing and any manager can implement a fee at their discretion? Specifically, when I wasn't informed of this fee at the time my reservation was made. I have been doing business with Enterprise for over a decade and this is how they treat repeat customers. Its all about the money, after all its a business. Lastly, Madeline called us the next day from Elkins Park location and wanted to know if we were happy with our rental. we were disconnected so I called her back (caller id). I was told she's with another customer and would call us back. I left my name and contact info. You guessed it! No call !! This isn't so much about $15. Its more about customer service with a company you've been doing business with for over 10 yrs (various locations) and properly informing the customer about extra (start up or early pick up) fees. Its more about the principle and lack of outstanding customer service. I would have gladly paid the fee IF I was informed at the time of the booking. Upon returning the vehicle an hour after opening on a Monday morning, their computers were down and they could not check-in the vehicle in the computer. The gentleman walked around the car and it was evaluated for any damages. We were verbally cleared for returning the car but needed to return if we wanted a receipt. Of course we need a receipt. I don't trust this company. They could say there were damages after leaving the premises and charge us additional. Would not put it past them. So, now we're being inconvenienced, running back and forth to get a receipt. I feel like Enterprise has miscellaneous fees and nickle and dime you where they see fit. Substandard customer service and lack of communication from the counter employees to Chuck, the manager. If I ask the identical question, I never receive the same answer when I call back or come into that location. I asked if I could get the weekend special from Saturday to Tuesday and was told "yes" by an employee. I said that I would call back in a few minutes with the reservation time. When I called back, Chuck answered the telephone, and I was told "no" because he claimed to have overheard the conversation, yet the employee claimed that he was somewhere else. Basically, Chuck was calling me a liar. Further, he claimed that Enterprise had just stopped that policy. Moreover, each time I pick up a rental vehicle, it is never ready. I always have to wait around for the vehicle to be cleaned which takes time and causes me to have to rush to my appointments. This is quite an inconvenience to me, as a customer. The vehicles should be ready according to the reservation's date and time. I think the sub-standard customer service is due to the fact that this branch services a majority of African American customers. I do not believe that the Enterprise stores, which are l frequented by a majority of white customers, receive substandard customer service. read more
