    Made reservations in March for a vehicle at Hertz. Went to pick up the vehicle at the reserved date…read moreand time only to find out that they don't have the vehicle there yet, someone was to return it by noon. It's 9am. They suggested i call "customer service" to see about picking up the vehicle at a different location. That rep, wish i got his name, said that i could get it from the airport, 30 minutes away, for the same price. He said i had 24 hours to pick up the vehicle and at that point if not picked, my reservation would be lost. I go straight there because i need to get on the road, at this point, I'm already behind my planned schedule. I get to the airport, they can't find that my reservation was changed to their location and they can't book another reservation under my name since i still had one at the original location AND they don't even have the vehicle i needed. I called customer service back and spoke with Nina, i explained everything to her, she placed me on hold saying Northridge has the vehicle. I asked her how am i to trust that, that's the case, yall just sent me on a wild goose chase, so i asked her to call them and confirm. She said they aren't allowed to do that and that she could make the reservation for me. I requested her sup cuz ain't no way in hell yall can't contact them and verify they have the vehicle, yall just told me to come to the airport and it's not here. She puts me on hold and comes back saying her sup authorized her to call them, she called and they do have the vehicle and the price is now $100+ more. Girllllllllll bye, yall got me running around like crazy when i did what i was supposed to do. Requeted her sup, blah blah blah my sup will say the same, ok, give me the sup. I speak with Tim #1425316, allegedly, says he can't change the price. I requested his sup, he doesn't have one. He just places me on "hold" no music no nothing so i already know this dude just muted the dang phone. He gets back on talking about thanks for holding, pissing me off even more cuz no he didn't have me on hold, you muted the phone. He says his sup isn't taking calls and to try again in 30 minutes. At this point, I've been on the phone with yall 1 hour, i can and will hold for that sup. He says i can't and hangs up..... Where the F is the customer service? Why are we continuing to outsource these companies. Where's the compensation for NOT holding up to your end of the contract? Oh but God forbid i cancel on yall at the last minute. What do you have to say Hertz? Is this how you all treat customers?

    I tried to resolve my issue with Hertz with the below message. I would not use this company for…read moreanything! Reference Case #11124604 I am writing to inquire into the status of this reference case. The practices exhibited by Hertz on these two transactions are not professional and should not be allowed. My story started with Rental #104320860. This was picked up on June 21 at 9:03 AM in the Gladstone HLE location. The car was a Nissan Rogue 2018. The estimated charge was to be $484.46 for a rental through June 28 at 9:00 AM returned to the same location. On June 25, the car blew a tire in Tucson, Arizona. I called the emergency roadside assistance from Hertz and proceeded to sit on hold for 90+ minutes. During that time I googled how to change the time, mostly finding the jack, and changed the tire. I also call Hertz on another line to ensure you had a comparable car at the airport location so I could being the car there to continue my trip. At this point, note that I was on the side of a highway in 110 degree temps with my wife, and two small children in the car. Luckily I had enough gas to keep the car running to keep them cool. Once I got to the Tucson Airport Hertz location, I pulled in and let them know of the flat and the change of tire. They noted it and sent me to the counter. I went in there and they provided me a comparable car. They indicated to make this work they needed to close the first contract and open a new contract for the new car. Not knowing any better I was fine with what ever they needed to do to provide me a working vehicle. This is where the deceptive practices really ramped up, it was bad enough that you don't staff your emergency roadside number enough to take a call in a reasonable period, but at the same time your reservation line picks up immediately. However, you must incent your agents to screw over the customers. So remember, the first contract was estimated at $484.46 for seven days, costing me $69.21 per day. That contract was closed early, as 'required' by your company to get me a working vehicle to finish my trip. This changed the actual cost of the contract to $569.78 for four days, costing me $142.45 per day. The second contract was then executed for three days at an estimated charge of $554.21 costing me $184.74 per day. So the total cost of the seven days of rental went from $484.46 to $1,123.99, thus an increase of $639.53 and the added stress of not being able to get roadside assistance. Closing this out I go to your customer service/billing department to help me resolve this to get it back to the agreed upon price, they proceed to tell me that I shouldn't have done a different contract, should have just changed the car out. Since I did that they couldn't do anything for me and had to route it to customer relations at corporate that has no phone number just an email address. I am looking for the status of this, and if this is not being resolved I would like to know the address that I can provide a copy of my formal compliant that I will be filing with the Attorney General of Arizona, Missouri, and Florida, as well as the same compliant will be provided to the better business bureau and posted to every social media provider and rating site that is available to me. A corporation should not be allowed to treat a consumer in this way and I intend to make it my personal mission to ensure that you make this right or answer for it to all groups that I can file with to investigate you on it.

    Warning....the amount book online for cost...WILL NOT!!! Be what you pay. They do add an extra $500 as hold so if you are low on funds at bank use a cc. You will get it back in a few days. I got mine no problem with that. My bill was 414.46 on line at booking. I paid 696.26 with added insurance and other fees. That's a 284 difference so be aware and be prepared. Location is good and lady at the counter was very pleasant. The van was ok though it ran like it needed service though...idled high . You sign in a small cc machine so small print that you barely can read it so that's where they trick you with your " Real total" bill. You will see it when you receive your deposit back ....me personally....I wouldn't rent here again. I had rented there before long ago and they did the exact same thing. Just beware

Now I filled the car up with gas and upon returning the car I wanted a receipt so I knew what my charges would be. They refused to give me a receipt so I went inside to talk to the woman behind the desk and she refused to give me a receipt. They just keep saying I would get an email of my charges and I have yet to receive that receipt and it's been 2 hours since I dropped off the car. I will turn this over to my lawyer for further investigation.
