I recently had a wonderful experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Fairbanks. My Big OL' Texas diesel truck needed the DEF system replaced, so I needed a rental. The minute I walked in the door I was treated like Royalty! The entire staff greeted me with a smile, and a willingness to help. Scott had me in and out in less than 10 minutes in an awesome Jeep Grand Cherokee (I live out in the woods and a 4-wheel drive is a must). The vehicle was immaculate! They even pulled it around to the front, warmed up, ready for me to blast off! Returning the Jeep was just as easy! (I was in a time crunch because I snuck out of work without anyone seeing me). I didn't catch her name, but a beautiful African American woman gave me a ride back to the JOB. She was so hilarious, my eyes were watering from laughing. I highly recommend them! read more

I had the worst experience of my life with this rental car agency. I was given a rental car that was dirty inside and out, although I sat waiting for almost 20 minutes for it while it was being cleaned. Although it was dripping with water when I received it, the exterior was filthy and covered in bugs and dirt. It looked like it had been sprayed with a hose, but nothing more. The interior smelt horrible and smelled like cigarettes and body oder. There was a layer of dust on the dashboard, making it clear it hadn't been cleaned in months, and the cupholders had crumbs and sticky drink rings in them. Likewise, the seats were dirty and stained, and the door had what I hoped was chocolate smeared on it. There was a part of me that thought perhaps the car was actually an employee's that was rented to me, because they had run out of rental cars. It felt like I was driving the smelly car from Seinfeld, but I didn't have a choice but to take it, as I had flown into town for work, had to get to a meeting on time and would have had to have a shuttle take me back to the airport in hopes of getting a car from a different agency. I did call and complain about the car and my complaint was taken by a customer service agent who said she was mortified that I had such an experience and promised that the manager would call me, because they want nothing but satisfied customers and genuinely wanted to make the situation right by me. Regrettably, the manager never called, sealing he fact that I will never rent from this or any other Enterprise again. read more

Our hotel suggested that we contact enterprise in Fairbanks rather than going back to the airport to rent a car. This location had the best customer service and the most professional employee. Andre picked us up at our hotel and drove us back when we returned our car early. read more

Very kind welcoming people, baby friendly they all loved my little girl, they took care or me quickly and got the exact vehicle I wanted. No issues, no complaints. Amazing experience. I rent cars at least twice a month. This was honestly the best customer service I ever experienced. This is not an airport location, but that wasn't fully clear while booking the car. The website promised "we will pick you up" so we booked our car. When we called from the airport they told us that unfortunately they were not allowed to pick up from the airport. However, we took a cab and the gladly reimbursed us the cab fare. Wow! We also got a free upgrade to an SUV from a midsize sedan. It was around lunchtime...we were hungry...and the SUV was still being cleaned. They suggested a nice restaurant and gave us a ride. We had our leisurely lunch, and afterwards they gave us a ride back to the rental car facility. Then, after some quikc paperwork, off we went! All in all, phenomenal! Ok so I smacked up my car with a moose collision and my insurance covered the cost of a rental. My insurance booked the vehicle and had the reservation waiting for me to pick up two hours after my accident. They came by my house and picked me up in the vary car I requested. I had just hit a moose and was a bit scared of getting into a little car so they gave me a big Ol' Truck to drive. Funny it was the same make and model but newer year than mine. The rep who picked me up was polite and courteous. We chatted about life in general on the way back to the office to fill out paperwork. I did a walk around and I will say I have seen cleaner interiors on rental vehicles, but to their advantage I was told the truck just arrived and since I didn't want a car this was what was available on my time line of urgency. I drove the vehicle for about a month and returned it as I received it, actually a little bit cleaner as I had it detailed shortly after getting it. I dealt with the same rep again and she was the same bubbly nice person. One thing to note when I got the truck I noticed chips in the window but was not quick to make sure it was recorded. I mentioned it in passing but it must not have recorded on the paper. Well one of those chips became a crack and I think my insurance is going to have to cover it. A little pissy with myself that I didn't make a stink about it but I am OK. All in all the experience was worth recommending again. If you have the time before your pick-up just ask that the vehicle be inspected and detailed prior to your arrival this was you can be assured you gave them the opportunity. read more

Don't rent from them in the winter. Their tires are very poor and dangerous. I complained and they said that they use Pyvcym-wagby5-qehqyhall season tires. Baloney. These are racing slicks which must put a lot of their cars in the ditch. I really liked their service and personnel but they are cutting corners and putting people at risk. read more

While the customer service was excellent and the car was clean and new, there is a scam going on with the Fairbanks Airport Enterprise. I turned my car in on 6 November 2019 with no damages. On 17 December 2019 I received a bill from the Enterprise Damage unit for a windshield replacement. WTF? Beware! read more

Their location isn't at the actual airport but is two minutes away, they knew my flight was coming in, I called them multiple times, and still no pick-up nor explanation for thirty minutes, plus no apology. I enjoyed meeting the driver who picked me up at the hotel. He was from the Midwest, if I recall and was so excited to be living in Alaska! He told me about his upcoming trip to Prudo Bay. Although the staff was quite friendly they did not seem to know what they were doing. I had reserved a mid-sized car for a four day trip from Fairbanks to Copper Center. They set me up with a Ford Focus.....a crappy vehicle to be sure. It was raining when I picked it up and as soon as I turned on the windshield wipers I saw that the clips that held the blades on were broken off. So I return to the shop and, Scott, the fellow who did my paperwork, tells me to go to the auto repair shop next door to get new blades. EXCUSE ME? You take my $300 and expect me to chase my own parts? Audacity. Now I am already delayed one hour from departing Fairbanks. When I complain a fellow named Cliff apologizes and upgrades me to a puck up truck. But oops....he brings a Dodge Caravan around instead. Do these have any clue as to what they are doing? They take one day off my total rental fee and I have my upgraded vehicle. I get a follow up call from someone named Sharon two days later. I tell her my story. She is apologetic and says that she will record the errors on my "report". When I return the vehicle I tell the story to yet another representative behind the counter who has no idea that these mistakes occurred. He goes to get Cliff who verifies my story. Clearly the issues that I had with this rental had NOT been placed on my "record". Never again will I rent from Enterprise. read more

Wow! Great service. Walked in on a Monday morning with no reservation and got into one of their last cars available. We were in and out within 20 mins. All of the staff was friendly you could tell they have a great work relationship there. Everyone was happy and cheerful on a Monday morning. We got a great discount for our car being in the shop that they work with and also for being military. We had no issues with the 2018 truck they put us in. It was suggested by my insurance to get a rental at Enterprise after an accident caused by someone else. When I called about getting the rental, the agent said to call back when my car was being worked on. That was not going to happen for a while. I reported this to my insurance agent and she said that is false. And they shouldn't be asking if my car is being worked on to begin with. I went in to get the rental. I own a SUV, 4 wheel drive, and winter tires and said I was not going to pay out of pocket for a rental. They gave me a Ford Focus hatchback, front wheel drive and the sorriest excuse for tires that exist. I slid all over the road and realized I am endangering my life and other drivers because I had NO TRACTION! The agent was nosy and inquired about my accident with a barrage of questions. When I asked what do these questions have to do with my rental, he replied nothing. The agents attitude was odd and intrusive and the tone was not welcoming. I took the car back the next day and I am going elsewhere for my business. No one should have to deal with rude agents and pay for mobile death traps. read more

The customer service is unbeatable. Not sure if they can control the prices but all the extra they suggest you add on is very expensive and I didn't think to be entirely necessary. With that expense, they should at least allow pets since I'm paying $300 extra dollars for extra stuff. However, despite that, which is something I would love to see them work on to better accommodate the economical customer just trying to get to and from work, the customer service cannot be beat. Our tour guide driver mentioned that renting a car within the city area (not at the airport) is a lot cheaper. And it's so true. For AWD it's $25 less than what the airport charges (we rented in January). I was afraid to drive in 30 deg below but the car they gave me was beyond awesome. Works great! Very good tires, grips on the snow like magnet. If you haven't driven in the snow before, you can practice driving in the thick snow next to their office. There's a big empty lot. Give it a donut spin just to fire up the adrenaline driving in the snow, ya know! The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. They were closed on Sundays (the next day we rented) so the management gave me a cell phone number to call in case of emergency. Where do you get such great service huh? Car is also pre-heated before you get in so you'll feel warm and comfy. Unlike in the airport where they asked for gas receipt, this place doesn't make a big deal out it. As long as it's on F, no questions asks. Easy pick up from and drop off to your hotel. Definitely recommended! read more
